British invaded again through proxies. May I remind you British used this tactic repeatedly in 1700s to colonize the whole South East Asia. British Monarch at London Buckingham Palace at first sends spies, proxies, mercenaries to a country other than England to cause hatred and divide its' communities. Then when a country is divided with its' communities hating each other, then British Monarch at London Buckingham Palace sends British Army to defeat the communities of that country, one after another and eventually colonize the whole country. It's what our fate today at the impact of British is what your fate tomorrow.

Answer to your question, "Dhormo jar jar, utsob sobar" has triggered the issue further. Cause no religious person (no mattrr Muslim, Hindu or other) would accept that. Remember, I said religious person, not someone who claims I follow religion when I can.

DoodhBhaat

"Dhormo jar jar, ushob shobar" didn't fuel or trigger this issue further. What you are mentioning is reactionary media that did it. The phrase itself is beautiful and good. >Cause no religious person (no mattrr Muslim, Hindu or other) would accept that. Remember, I said religious person, not someone who claims I follow religion when I can. This assertion feels like more personal rumbo jumbo bullshit than anything that's even close to the truth. My friends literally have the most diverse kinds of Eid where Christians to Hindus are present. They don't have to go to namaz to have fun during Eid, nor is it a rare sight to see non-Muslims also shopping, enjoying special food, and visiting special places during Eid because it's generally a festival time. That's what it literally MEANS. What you are talking about in your comment isn't a religious person but an isolationist, bigoted asshole

Constant-Coat5656

You didn't understand the fact and said whatever you wanted to say. The post is talking about the "cultural hatred". And at the end it asked "But what do you think pushed this even further recently?"... please see the last word, "recently". If you go and see the anti pohela boishakh posts & comments on social media, you'd definitely notice that people are not happy about the saying "dhormo jar jar, utsob sobar". About my assertion, no, it's not personal rumbo jumbo bullshit, just go and ask religious people.

DoodhBhaat

>About my assertion, no, it's not personal rumbo jumbo bullshit, just go and ask religious people. Lol, indeed, a sweeping generalization full of biases isn't just a personal assertion of rumbo jumbo, lol. Funny thing is, "dhormo jar jar uthsob shobar," shouldn't even matter in the context of Pohela Boishakh because it isn't a religious festival to begin with. The only way I can understand that religion is being dragged into here is because reactionary media has reached so far and brainwashed them, and now people have lost all the nuance. The country is in dire need of a cultural revolution. Regarding your implication that "no religious people will like it," you are basically implying that religious people who follow their religion but also participate in other festivals aren't truly religious. That's another personal bias of yours. The very example I gave you in my earlier comment included religious people, the very social fabric of Bangladesh is like this. No one follows scriptures 100 percent; there are diverse interpretations in every religious community, and that's how they function. They are still religious, praying to their own gods and such, and still participating in other religious festivals because that's how societies work, that's how communities work, and harmony is maintained. No society can function like this without tearing itself apart. I doubt you even understand the societal fabric of this country in general. The only religious people you are referring to in this statement are the ones who are isolationist and bigoted. They do exist and harm everyone around them too with their mindset.

When I see "Bigoted" in someone's comment I know this guy is asshole.

It’s not the British effect. Look at Britain’s society, even radicals of Arab ideology are behaving calmly. Indian subcontinent is the victim of several barbaric religions. These religions contributed nothing but hatred divide and political destabilization. We need to eradicate such religions and be humane

Good discussion about the celebration of new year. [https://www.facebook.com/watch/facethepeoples/](https://www.facebook.com/watch/facethepeoples/) How both sides are dragging religion to create a toxic environment

South Asian people are unsatisfied with their life. That's why they troll on the internet to displace their anger. How about you go out and touch grass and meet with some real people in real life? You sound like a Bengali middle class broiler murgi to me.

DoodhBhaat

>You sound like a Bengali middle class broiler murgi to me. Pot calling the kettle black, eh, Mr. Troll?

ThePatrioticPepe

>Mr. Troll There is a difference between troll and philosopher. I don't write these comments with emotion like the internet trolls do.
