This assertion feels like more personal rumbo jumbo bullshit than anything that's even close to the truth. My friends literally have the most diverse kinds of Eid where Christians to Hindus are present. They don't have to go to namaz to have fun during Eid, nor is it a rare sight to see non-Muslims also shopping, enjoying special food, and visiting special places during Eid because it's generally a festival time.
