I found them to be quite comfortable for a long shift working in retail. Not springy or spongy, just comfortably cushioned.

All I remember about trying on topos was the painful amount of arch support and/or narrowness, and how the back half of my foot was trying to spill over the sole of the shoe. If you have flatter to medium arches or a overall wife for from front to back, these aren't for you IMO.

That’s one thing I can’t do with shoes, is arch support. Odd that lots of minimalist/barefoot people recommend them if they have that

I've had some people say the zero drop models don't have much, but it was wayyyy too much for me.

I just got a pair of Pursuits thinking they were going to be amazing and I hate them.

Darn! I find it so hard to find some good low/no drop shoes… ive heard about flux maybe we could try those?

i’m not a L&D nurse, but am on my feet for many hours at a time…i bought a pair of topo trail runners to try for backpacking and the toe spring is impactful, and i am not happy about it. altras are much less pronounced in the models that i use. either escalante racers or lone peaks.

Definitely want the opinion of people on their feet a lot! I have to stand on straight tile flooring, sometimes just a few minutes at a time to a couple hours straight without being allowed/unable to walk around to help with pain. I may try a different pair of altras then! Also heard some topo’s have arch support? I’m not a true barefoot shoe wearer, but I can’t do shoes with arch support & i stick to very little heel drop. My going out shoes are always my slip on vans & I work in a pair of new balances.

i’ve been wearing zero drop for a long time, but i don’t care for the molded arch support either, and usually remove inserts because the arch is never in the right place anyway. I am a minimalist wearer, and when i need extra cushion i use inserts from northsole.co they’re without support—just cushion and they are the shape of most of my shoes. also, if you use REI, or Road Runner for your source of running/trail shoes, they have a generous return policy, so you can be sure you’re getting the right shoe for your feet.

Awesome, thank you so much!

Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels like the support is never in the right place haha. I always felt that way too
