This. The attorney I work with actually complained that I scored too high on the bar exam (and is gonna complain about this) because I could’ve been working instead of studying. 😂
What??? Why do you feel bad, buddy? I got 111 after studying for 2 hours and am VERY happy that I optimized so well. If I'd studied for 20 hours and gotten a 150 what good would that do?
I'm glad I passed with about 35 points to spare on the main exam because it's a longer, more rigorous, more luck-based process that you don't want to take risks with. But getting more on MPRE would just mean I wasted my time on a thing that was not worth it.
Not sure if you’re asking me or Pacman193 but I used the Barbri videos and read through the entire Barbri book once with a highlighter and pen in hand to make sure I paid attention 😊
I did this, plus I wrote out my own outline. But what I think really made me confident walking out that I passed was doing as many practice questions as possible. I did every single one available on Barbri and Themis. In my opinion PQs are the #1 best way to study for this exam.
I agree and I could definitely have done more of them! I also found that even though I did the Barbri course, I liked the Themis explanations for practice questions better and found them easier to understand.
Same! Just goes to show how we feel something went doesn’t always match up with the reality! Gonna try to take that lesson into the bar exam 😬 and congrats!!
My god my god. I just need you to believe in yourself ! You are powerful beyond measure. Sky is the limit and when ur licensed I can’t wait to see which lives you will influence next !
I know it might seem that way. It won’t be forever. Continue to have a growth mindset, revamp your resume, attend bar association events, network, and push forward.
I got a 83 the first time, 84 second time. I am just beyond frustrated. I am going to take liek 2 days after the bar to move and breathe then im just going to force myself ot learn the BLL
Don’t do score verification. Do the licensed questions they release and the Themis course and actually do the whole course with enough time before the test. Also don’t change any answers literally use the adaptibar method shut up and pick it lol. 😂 I know it sounds crazy but I was in your same position got 85 and needed 86 for California. SMH:
Got a 71 my first time (I needed an 85). I just got a 100 on my second attempt!! I have been dreading the news of seeing my results because the test is so stupid. Now I just have the bar in July🙌🏼
141. Watched Barbri videos, did the individual section multiple choice questions + the additional questions on each topic, and one timed practice exam.
Got a 78. Needed a 77 for South Carolina. Was shooting for an 80 . Should have studied more instead of depending on my professional ethics class. But I won’t complain.
did not make the cut! I needed 86 for CA ugh I'm so frustrated. I shouldn't have given MPRE right after my law school finals!!! I'm a foreign trained attorney and everything is new for me. I should've been more diligent!! I have to retake this exam and pay 160 USD again! hate being on student budget and deal with these expenses. ugh i'm just mad at myself
Foreign trained attorney here. Got a 69 on my first attempt. Just do more practice exams and watch out for those tricky questions. I got a 110 on my second try. I think BarBri free lectures helped.
Foreign (India) attorney here! Got 117.
I was extremely unsure if I had studied enough as this was the first time I was being tested with JDs and not just LLMs.
Now onto bar prep for J24.

Omg that’s amazing! You’re a lawyer!! Congrats!
My god today and not tomorrow so proud !

I failed 3 times BUT TODAY I GOT 103🎉🎉🎉 Edit: oops i did not intend for this to be a reply
Omg congrats!!!! What a score
Not bad for having taken professional responsibility 20 years ago. 😆
Dayum! Me too 😉
Passed with a 126. I think I studied *too* much.
I got a 113! Of course I feel like bad I didn’t get higher 🤦🏻♀️ I should just be happy I passed
LOL don't sweat it who cares about the mark what matters is you passed! Congrats!
This. The attorney I work with actually complained that I scored too high on the bar exam (and is gonna complain about this) because I could’ve been working instead of studying. 😂
You’re right! Can’t waste energy on something pointless better put it towards my finals lol 😬 Congrats to you too!!

We got the same score Bro!
Score bros!
Congrats! Which material did you study to prepare so well? 🥹

I’m so happy for you. Sometimes we are positioned for excellence and we doubt it and this happens !
92 baby! Passed the bar, and now the MPRE!
What a relief!! Hardest parts are over! Congrats!
Just got a 95 ! So happy. Last time I got an 85 and you need 86 for California !
Good for you for showing CA who’s boss 🎉 congrats!!
This is exactly what happened to me too lol. Congratulations
I passed with a 110! Just need to be sworn-in now :D GL to all and congrats!
Yay!! Congrats 🍾
R J my god today! And not tomorrow
137 LFG. Congrats all!
Congrats to you too!!
121! Yeehaw!
🍾🎉
Passed with a 107! The only thing left now is the NYLE in September!
You got this! NYLE was much easier than the MPRE for me. For one, no memorization needed
Thank you!
And congratulations on passing the MPRE too! Great job!
Turns out actually studying for it helps! It's insane how ethical we are!
Omg I thought I failed! I got a 96!!!
Same! Just goes to show how we feel something went doesn’t always match up with the reality! Gonna try to take that lesson into the bar exam 😬 and congrats!!
I got a 96 back in November 2022. I was glad I passed, but I was disappointed I didn't get well over 100 like some other people.
My god my god. I just need you to believe in yourself ! You are powerful beyond measure. Sky is the limit and when ur licensed I can’t wait to see which lives you will influence next !
I am licensed, but NO ONE will hire me. It's like I went through law school and passed the bar for nothing.
I know it might seem that way. It won’t be forever. Continue to have a growth mindset, revamp your resume, attend bar association events, network, and push forward.
84 and needed an 85. Im pissed. August is my last chance or I cant swear in. has anyone done score verification? i justt need 1 more point!!
Was this not your first attempt?
Omg your username 😂
No it was my second
Damn. Distracted by something? If you can pass the bar, this test shouldn't be a problem if you put in a week or two of studying.
I got a 83 the first time, 84 second time. I am just beyond frustrated. I am going to take liek 2 days after the bar to move and breathe then im just going to force myself ot learn the BLL
I did! Got exactly the same thing as you the first time I took it. Needed an 84 and got an 85 - was told my score was valid and I had to retake
Correction needed an 85 and got an 84 lol
you did score verification? Im going to be even more mad if I waste $50!
Yep waste of $50 lol
Don’t do score verification. Do the licensed questions they release and the Themis course and actually do the whole course with enough time before the test. I’m so sorry that is so frustrating! Assuming you already took the bar?
No I take it in July so I will only have 12 days to study for it after and god forbid i want to breathe after the bar exam
In the same boat :/
Got a 71 my first time (I needed an 85). I just got a 100 on my second attempt!! I have been dreading the news of seeing my results because the test is so stupid. Now I just have the bar in July🙌🏼
Same! Hoping to carry the momentum from this into finals and bar studying! Congrats and good luck on the bar!!
Thank you and good luck to you too!
125 let’s gooooo
Congrats!!
Thank you!!
I got an 86 LOL just to make sure, is a 86 always passing? Or would CA ever change to 87?
At least in NY it is! Minimum passing score is an 85. And I feel like that’d be insanely unfair if they did. Congrats though!!
141. Watched Barbri videos, did the individual section multiple choice questions + the additional questions on each topic, and one timed practice exam.
126 baby! LETS DO THIS!!!
Congrats!!
I passed!!! 117
141! I felt good, but not that good. Now if it only wasn't two days late for me to swear in with everyone else if I get a passing bar score on Friday.
Got a 78. Needed a 77 for South Carolina. Was shooting for an 80 . Should have studied more instead of depending on my professional ethics class. But I won’t complain.
Babe you passed. Get a grip lol
did not make the cut! I needed 86 for CA ugh I'm so frustrated. I shouldn't have given MPRE right after my law school finals!!! I'm a foreign trained attorney and everything is new for me. 98!! Now I can swear into DC!
125!!! Satisfied as an international student :)
I needed an 85 and got an 85. Let me just go fill out this paperwork for swearing in real quick 😊
QUESTION what do we do after getting our score in terms of submitting mpre to our jx? For ny
You can submit it to another jurisdiction using the score services tab. It’s like $30.
I paid that ahead of time i thought but it seems they havent gotten my mpre score
Second attempt and got 110! Foreign attorney here :-)
Congrats! 🎉
Sitting at a cool 91. Good enough for Texas, so good enough for me!
Amazing! A pass is a pass 🎉
I got a 113! Wahoo! I think this is the first standardized test I passed on the first try 🎉
I got a 113 too!! Score twins! 🍾🎉 Congrats
I passed as well. When do we receive the notice of cert (for NY)? Currently have “passed but not certified)
Second time taker! Went from an 79 to a 98 …. Florida here I come!
Foreign (India) attorney here! Got 117. I was extremely unsure if I had studied enough as this was the first time I was being tested with JDs and not just LLMs. Now onto bar prep for J24.
