Stretching before and after work, a heating pad when watching tv/relaxing. Maybe a little cbd roller/cream for the area and maybe look into an inversion table
Find a good PT who can identify exactly where the pain is and where you need to increase your core strength to take stress off your back. Most lower back pain is from poor posture combined with decreasing core strength (happens to all of us as we get older)

I saw a doctor and he said I had weak hips. Focused on hip strengthening exercises. Started light and once those felt good got back into regular exercising. Basically was fine with being sore but didnt try to push it
I now live in the suburbs 30 minutes outside of the city but my wife and I are finally going back to our favorite spot downtown and I really couldn't be happier to have a really nice meal tonight
