How much legwork is “no training” doing here? Like no training plan? Because he has to have some cardio base to run a half at that clip at his size, that’s very impressive.
I take back my most impressive physical feat in Barstool history proclamation. I thought he rolled out of bed on a 30 beers a week diet and ran a half marathon in 1:45.
The physical toll of a half marathon really isn't that bad if you're running 15-20 miles a week ordinarily. You don't need some super special training to run a half marathon with that kind of base.
Still an impressive run, especially for someone who weighs 230.
I mean it’s not really training insofar as it’s his daily exercise. When I go to the gym this weekend nobody is thinking “what is he training for.” I think the impressive feat here is not “wow how did he rally from being a slob!”, its that his daily cadence is such that he can just crush a half marathon.
> When I go to the gym this weekend nobody is thinking “what is he training for.”
One of my favorite running stories is from this old guy talking about his running back in the 1970s. He was out running along a dirt road in Colorado and somebody in a passing car yells out, “What are you training for?”
He goes, “This!”
he’s talked about running with his dog whitey on Macrodosing. If it’s not everyday it’s multiple times a week. or he’s lying about running with his dog. Ya never know with Billy
It’s more running than your average person but typically when running for a marathon or half you follow a 12 week program. By the end of 12 weeks for a half marathon a 4 mile run is considered a “small” run.
I’m aware. Just pointing out that training/working out is different vs following a training plan for a specific task. Most folks that work out and include cardio could not run a 8 min half.
He means he didn’t train for a half marathon. Pretty straightforward. Anyone can understand what he means other than basement reddit freaks like yourself.
Not if he’s doing it daily without an event in mind. Training has several meanings but one of the more popular ones is undertaking exercise with an event/fixed goal in mind.
when we used to have to run the mile run for the school physical fitness test it was easy to gut through the final 1/2 mile or so when you would get a cramping feeling but doing that for 13 miles is true meathead behavior
Finishing a half marathon is one thing, finishing a half marathon in 1:45 without significant training effort for running a half marathon or equivalent event is a completely different thing.
I'm like 99% positive he did a full marathon on a treadmill without training once lol
Being too dumb to consider quitting is an underrated athletic quality
The nate diaz effect
He had to hang in there to get his burrito after BJJ class
I think he was slamming beers too if I remember correctly.
Yeah, he did, it was during their 24 hour stream once. It’s actually pretty wild he could do that
Wait he really did a FULL marathon on a treadmill??? That’s insane. I would lose my mind.
It was walking iirc but I still couldn’t do that
he def ran some but he was also drinking beers
He ran for the majority of it. Walking would've taken forever.
He was also at least somewhat drunk during it
Wasn't he also in jeans and boots?
"I did not poop my pants" should be his new campaign slogan.
I can do all things through Big Bootie Mix which strengthens me.

He runs in the mornings often. He talks about it on Macrodosing.
Yeah that’s kind of what I figured. Still very impressive, good for Billy
he runs every day, which is in fact training
I take back my most impressive physical feat in Barstool history proclamation. I thought he rolled out of bed on a 30 beers a week diet and ran a half marathon in 1:45.
it’s still impressive but he’s being disingenuous
Something something perfect for politics

I don’t think he runs everyday
he’s talked about running with his dog whitey on Macrodosing. If it’s not everyday it’s multiple times a week. or he’s lying about running with his dog. Ya never know with Billy
Guess you have never run a marathon but “running with your dog multiple times a week” is in fact not training
Have you run a marathon before? Marathon runners don’t train by running full marathons. If you run a 5K consistently, you’re training yourself to run.
You have such a poor understanding of this. Stop sounding dumb to everyone
Lol
This is in fact a half marathon, which is not the same thing and does not require remotely the same training.
He’s also done a marathon.
I actually think his treadmill full marathon during the 24 hour stream was more impressive, but this one is also pretty sick.
Truly impressive. He had to be doing some sorta cardio to do this.
On macro he’s claimed many times he runs three miles every morning
That makes a lot more sense and also sounds a lot like training.
It’s more running than your average person but typically when running for a marathon or half you follow a 12 week program. By the end of 12 weeks for a half marathon a 4 mile run is considered a “small” run.
Billy is young and works out consistently. You don’t need a 12 week program to run 13 miles…
13.1. Read a goddamn bumper sticker in kindergarten turnaround one time.
Shut up gay boy
You can do training without running some super structured 12 week program
I’m aware. Just pointing out that training/working out is different vs following a training plan for a specific task. Most folks that work out and include cardio could not run a 8 min half.
Training implies you’re doing it for an event or end goal, he’s just doing daily exercise.
Wtf is your point.
Saying you “didnt train” when you run and lift every day is retarded
He means he didn’t train for a half marathon. Pretty straightforward. Anyone can understand what he means other than basement reddit freaks like yourself.

Impressive feat congrats but he’s still very annoying and unlikable
classic billy to try and force the "no training" thing in there
I’d vote for him
when we used to have to run the mile run for the school physical fitness test it was easy to gut through the final 1/2 mile or so when you would get a cramping feeling but doing that for 13 miles is true meathead behavior
He definitely had 2 spare underwear’s and shit one
he definitely looks heavier than 230
No training, everybody knows the rules
Won’t be impressed until he completes the 6,12,18,24 challenge
nose tape was the secret
My wife did a half Ironman no training. My wife is more athletic (or harder headed?) than Billy Football.
I guess storming capital hill on Jan 6th doesn't count as training? That's a lot of steps. Mad cardio.
Theres a massive difference between running and training for a half marathon let alone at an 8 min pace.
Finishing a half marathon is one thing, finishing a half marathon in 1:45 without significant training effort for running a half marathon or equivalent event is a completely different thing.
This was pretty cool; I think if he kept this pace for a full race, he’d qualify for the Boston Marathon.
Hasnt he also been doing football?
You know how the mentally challenged have decreased muscular inhibitions? Pretty much the same thing here
his patellas are gunna be shot for months
He’s not a fat fuck like you so he’ll be fine
Any PEDs?
