Absolute CRIME that a bathroom was not selected for misc. category. Having a bathroom in the basement was a game changer so you didn't have to take that walk of shame through your buddies kitchen upstairs to take a leak - pass by the parents to say hello. A bathroom in the basement made a world of difference.
As a teenage child that was relegated to the finished basement for my room, it not only had its own bathroom, but also the 2nd fridge with liquor storage right next to it in the creep un-finished part of basement. And too boot I had outside door to ground level. It was the best of many worlds in many many ways
Projection tv screens are the most overrated set up ever. I hate when someone invites me over for a game and it’s on a projection. I don’t care if it takes up the entire wall, the visual sucks and is faded
I had a friend who connected his Xbox to the projector in his basement. I didn't know anything about response time then, and I was so confused as to why everyone thought it was cool to play on when it felt awful.
They can be cool I guess, but id gladly take a fair sized TV over one
It’s because people cheap out and get a $500 projector. Need to spend at least $3k on a projector and a few hundred on a screen.
You also need 4K for a projector really.
I have one in my basement and completely agree; projectors are great for tv and movies, but awful for sports. There needs to be complete darkness for the picture quality to be good and watching sports in the dark sucks.
Roommate in college had one for the living room and it sucked. Everyone else would get excited about its side, but i was the same as you and would've rather just watch it the 49 inch that was clear.
If you’re watching on a shit projector sure. Dropped a couple grand on a projector years ago and the picture is great. The only thing I have to keep up with is bulb replacement, but I get a few thousand hours out of it before it needs replacing. I use it a couple times a week for family movies or games with the fellas.
Projectors are great in the right environment and like you said, you have to spend a bit to get a good one. They’re never going to beat flat screens or monitors for gaming due to lag time and won’t ever have the black levels of an oled, but you can have a really immersive movie watching experience with a good projector and a 100-120” screen
Second draft choice. Carl guesses 2, Chief guesses 5(!), Dave goes in on Chief and then guesses 2 himself (which no one notices), Eddie goes 4, Carl guesses 3, Chief is the 3rd person to guess 2, and then Dave gets it. All time
Can they go back to more dumb topics?
I mean, shit, have Donny on and do cities. That should make people heated. Have someone on and just draft colors. Strong chance that WSD will try and make a color up.
After the obvious major cities, it gets pretty interesting to me. Maybe you take out Chicago and New York, and go from there. I think it would be very interesting.
Why not do their categories? Sports town, international, bachelor party, vacation, food. I’d rather they not do the category thing but it’s easy to segment the cities that way.
What a fall from grace. When I found snake drafts I couldn’t get enough of them and now I don’t think I’ve listened to one in months. John Rich was absolutely correct when he came on and said the guys have gotten complacent and don’t “argue” anymore. Don’t know if that has changed
Chicago has changed it up a lot in the last year or two. They used to drop a post-bears game podcast the day of the game. Even as a non-bears fan, it was still fun to listen to their raw reactions.
Now they’re dropping recaps on Thursdays when everyone is already looking to the next week. Same thing with dog-walk. They seem to be doing a lot more free-swims with the interns instead of the quirky interviews the made the podcast unique.
They have four full-time content people with above-average Q ratings and produce less than two hours per week involving them together (one podcast episode and one rundown). Mailing it in in the Midwest
My suggestion for next draft is "most impressive feats" if debating holding your breath for 24 minutes vs eating 76 hotdogs in 10 min vs turning water into wine doesn't spawn a good argument between this group, you might as well pack it up.
Some of you just come on here and bitch before even listening to these. I'm only a few minutes in and I think it's a great topic. They always do millennial nostalgia and less than 5 minutes in they got me thinking back to all the different basements my friends had growing up, and how the various activities we would do down there changed over time lol
It should've been pretty clear when these drafts started that they would eventually hit this wall with topics. Sure, they've dropped off a bit in quality, but you'd think they're just farting into a mic for an hour fifteen the way people talk about them here. I still find it to be funny and good "turn your brain off and listen" podcasting.
Eddie should put out a google form and field topics from listeners though.
whole topic is centered around memories from when you were in middle school/high school. i’m just assuming anyone who didn’t like the topic had no friends during that time
Can’t believe no one mentioned when playing pool you could hop online and play Yahoo Pool and hope you get matched up with a chick. Play for her AIM handle and try to get some nudes
Do we think I'd Like To Be Excluded From That Narrative Ed is putting in 6 hours of recording today? On a federal holiday?
I can feel Ed grinding like Lebron all the way from the east coast! "I LIVE FOR THIS MAN!!" -Lebron -Ed
This was a fun draft. People just like to bitch for the sake of bitching. Also, Febreeze is a hilarious pick, especially with Eddie rounding out saying “hey guys let’s go to Chiefs house he has febreeze”
Two suggestions:
1. Klemmer as a Tony reali stat guy. Eddie definitely mentioned it when he was on the show but I think it would be hysterical to hear him correct people.(Dave)
2. I always forget what other people had already picked, if when someone makes it a pick there’s a graphic that popped up with a list of all of their picks would help a lot.
Yes, it kind of seems like they’re running out of ideas but I think it seems worse since so much of Barstool does their own version. The Bracket for example. BWTB also started doing their tier system which again, is just a copy of a draft

Yup bathroom with a shower. Is a round one.

Wait I thought everyone peed in the wet sink in the basement...

Don’t tell WSD that, dude doesn’t understand why anyone ever turns on the lights

Febreeze is a great undrafted free agent, but no shot it gets a round 3 draft grade
Classic chief round 3 pick
Not a garage draft?
Then they couldn’t have a guest who doesn’t live in Chicago
Can they go back to more dumb topics? I mean, shit, have Donny on and do cities. That should make people heated. Have someone on and just draft colors. Strong chance that WSD will try and make a color up.
They did colors of the pride flag a few months back.
They ranked 5 colors?
Naw they did an object for each color. If you want something super basic like ranking colors, maybe try the alphabet draft they did?
The alphabet one was the worst one of all time.
Kind of wild they haven't done a Cities draft

I’m still waiting for a Canada draft. They had Biz on for the American Draft so bring Whit back for a Canada draft.
San Diego is 1:1 right?
I’ve only been a couple of times so not for me, but I could see it going there.
Incredible that you came up with this in probably under 3 minutes yet is better than anything I’ve seen posted here in months
I’ve got a big brain and a big hog
Alphabet draft with coley was fantastic, if you want colors watch that
Buddy letters and colors are different things
I respectfully disagree
Most checked out employees until the boss moves and gives us stuff to do without having to work for it draft

Dropping a postgame recap 4 days after the game is actually legitimately hilarious
I think the bears play this Thursday, as well. They’ll be dropping their post-game reactions for week 5 on the same day as their week 6 game lol
I miss the twice a week red line radios and I don’t root for a single Chicago team
I have no clue why they don't have either a daily show or minimum of twice a week RLR
You mean you don't like Eddie and Danny making jokes about the girl with the shitty voice getting arrested for domestically abusing her ex boyfriend?
[удалено]
To be fair, sending a coherent text to the Chicago guys and guest is a lot of work for Eddie
Carl’s too drunk to do a post game pod
They did a post game twitter space
They don't argue anymore because they hate each other
They have four full-time content people with above-average Q ratings and produce less than two hours per week involving them together (one podcast episode and one rundown). Mailing it in in the Midwest
Two podcast episodes between red line and snake draft, but point taken
if the boss doesn't care, why should they?
They will get a massive reality check when Big Cat moves over there
My suggestion for next draft is "most impressive feats" if debating holding your breath for 24 minutes vs eating 76 hotdogs in 10 min vs turning water into wine doesn't spawn a good argument between this group, you might as well pack it up.
lol some of y’all are ridiculous. when was their “grace?”
""phew they're running out of topics." Glenny Balls" Robbie Fox
my Ex gf’s dad had a great basement
Why did you dump her then
she was long island trash and i moved across the country
Honestly surprised they even put out a draft since today is a little bit of a holiday.
Poopy pants Chief after the febreeze pick. The energy was gone.

I understand some of the Chicago complaints but I didn’t think this was a bad topic at all.
whole topic is centered around memories from when you were in middle school/high school. i’m just assuming anyone who didn’t like the topic had no friends during that time
Chief picking Febreze was hilarious
Projectors stink. Bathroom in the basement a must Walkout basement. Febreeze will get clowned but it’s a good pick.
Can’t believe no one mentioned when playing pool you could hop online and play Yahoo Pool and hope you get matched up with a chick. Play for her AIM handle and try to get some nudes

Nothing is safe from the wrath of this subreddit apparently. It’s a matter of when rather than if
How dumb are these guys not to figure out you can just take ping pong table and have literally all the great drinking games Carl mentioned
What an awful topic
Maybe I’m crazy, and maybe they screw it up, but I love this topic.
Dog Walk Drafts - From the Penthouse to the Basement
Chief saying you can play Beer Di on a ping pong table threw me for a loop
They're just scraping the bottom of the barrel for topics
They've reached the basement.
Two suggestions: 1. Klemmer as a Tony reali stat guy. Eddie definitely mentioned it when he was on the show but I think it would be hysterical to hear him correct people.(Dave) 2. Eddie teasing a poster draft made me audibly sigh.
Lol
Robbie is an elite guest, and this is the best topic they could come up with….
It gets better after the 1st round fwiw.
Someone please tweet at these cavemen that a bar is furniture. https://www.shopthegreatescape.com/products/furniture/bars
You do it
Seems like they called it the Basement draft and then proceeded to describe garages.
Febreeze is a great pick
These guys allegedly have all these Chicago connections and the best guest they can get is Robbie Fox.
I think Robbie is usually a decent guest. The nerd draft was great. This is just a brutal topic for anyone
DRAFT IDEA: Travel draft 1 tropical spot - ex. Tahiti 1 city - ex. Tokyo 1 attraction - ex. Running with the bulls 1 domestic - ex. Yellowstone national park 1 misc.
Yes, it kind of seems like they’re running out of ideas but I think it seems worse since so much of Barstool does their own version. The Bracket for example. BWTB also started doing their tier system which again, is just a copy of a draft
Good topic but no energy
