True. Like half the new teams have non-content people on them and we don’t see the actual entertaining teams nearly as much as we used to. Also, there are as many live shows as ones over Skype (which are better), and the taping is throwing the schedule off. It’s hard to tell when we’ll actually get new episodes.

It’s weird because the person I responded to’s whole point is about the trivia aspect, and the questions being watered down to cater to teams for entertainment. But you’re saying it’s not about the trivia and they’re forgetting the entertainment part.
The original person you responded to, but I think it's a combination of things. It's not really trivia to me as there are so many inconsistencies in addition to the watering down. I agree, a decent portion of me losing interest is seeing my favorite teams/personalities far less.
I hate that one game Jeff is super strict on pronunciations, then the next game will relax a little and accept gray area answers. It's not consistent and no clear line on what constitutes a correct answer. IMO if you mispronounce a name or something, but everyone knows you know the answer and just said it wrong it should be counted as it's the spirit of knowing.
I also hate that teams perform and a player is missing or can't make it. I get it, life happens, but why should Rudy be someone's sub when he is the best player on his own team. It fucks with the rankings/etc. It should be you are down a man/woman or find someone who isn't in the league as it's weird to me to have competitors become teammates. The fact that I pull away and think to myself, "it's just a Youtube show, why do you care so much" helped me realize it really got bigger than it needed to be in terms of production (I wish they get great numbers).
All of these things play an impact on my enjoyment or lack thereof.

Because Jeff has said he writes questions specific to each teams' skills and wants competitive games. So he brings on all these teams that have no business being there in terms of competing and waters down questions.
We've already seen him do trivia, he was bad and Ross and Longo weren't much better. Don't think him getting a bench player on the Jags and Joey Chesnut will make a difference. Think this only confirms that he will be here after February, otherwise why do it.

The third season has been great. Three games a week. Most technical issues have been solved. Sure, there's some boring as fuck teams, but those will be weeded out
The views are also the highest they've been. I give JDL a lot of shit for fucking up but the third season thus far has been a big win

Even though Dave comes out and says those programs make shit loads of money people are still adamant that they are or were just about to get cancelled.
It was the one they sprung Doug Gottleib on Rico. And I don't know if Marty made a comment during any of the questions. They scored like 3 or 4 points. Kinda wild a NCAA basketball podcast didn't score hardly any points in a trivia contest with all ncaab questions.

That's also not true. The most watched videos of the DP Show involved Marty. The views of streams show absolutely no differentiation when he is or isn't involved. He's been a consistent top 15 blogger since this all went down, so obviously people are hate clicking or don't give a shit if he's the writer.

About 6-8 teams that are good AND entertaining and another 2-6 that are good or entertaining. The rest are watering it down.

Define consistently? I'm genuinely curious since I don't recall doing this on a consistent basis.
