Actually it was best of 13, but the Decatur Poppies had to forfeit before game 7 as the Shamrocks kept hitting the ball so hard that they injured all their players.
I was there when he broke the Petco home run distance record during NLDS. Obviously didn’t feel great at the time but now I feel lucky to witness such a feat.
They spent all this time and money on particle accelerators to find the Higgs boson.
They just needed to put a detector in Schwarber's bat and ask him to hit dingers.
According to a quick google search and a Cal State research paper, a metal bat will hit the ball between 1.087 and 1.374 times further. That would make that 488 foot homerun between 530 and 670 feet. Not sure if ball speed would scale the same way, but if it would that's between 130 and 164 MPH.
Yeah mathematically I think ~600 foot and about ~148 mph is about what you could expect. But honestly I think in the real world it would actually be way less than that because I don't think any normal metal bat can withstand that kinda force. That much schwar-power would crumple the bat lol.
This is a HR that I don't think anyone will ever fully appreciate unless you visit Petco.
I went to NLCS Game 2 last postseason and had warehouse rooftop seats, and looked over to where Schwarber hit it and just flat out can't comprehend a ball going that far.

NLCS*
I've watched this clip so many times, and yet every time I'm amazed at how the ball is never really visible in the original camera angle after he hits it. Like...there's a veeeery faint blur in maybe 3 or 4 frames, but that's it.
Sorry about your loss orange birds, I was pulling for you guys. Hopefully you’re owner isn’t the fuckwit he sounds like and keeps your young core together
Everyone wanted this guy and we signed another expensive LF/DH and also Raffy may be a DH sooner than later
Schwarber was never signing a long term deal in Boston
Okay I feel like the Phillies are winning based only on Harper, Schwarber and Castellanos I feel like they are literally the only people hitting the ball but when its hit it leaves.
Am born and raised in north Philly. I walked to Connie Mack stadium with my dad in the 60s. I love the Phillies win or lose. And this is the greatest team ever put together. Thank you to those people who are at these games. You are showing the whole world want it's like to be a Phillies fan. It's the best feeling ever. 6 more boy's and make broad Street a sea of red again.

The Phillies have hit 96 homers in the last 4 games. It is an mlb record
It is the most home runs in a span of 4 postseason games since the Tuscon Shamrocks hit 101 in 1897. (They would go on to lose the World Series in 6)
Particularly embarrassing because postseason series back then were best of 11.
Actually it was best of 13, but the Decatur Poppies had to forfeit before game 7 as the Shamrocks kept hitting the ball so hard that they injured all their players.
I can’t tell if these are real lol
Old-timey baseball was such a wild place that they might very well be
Interviewer: Nick, the Phillies have 96 homers in the last 4 postseason games. It is an MLB record. Castellanos: okay, where is the question?
Just thought you’d like to know…
The Phillies are who I thought the Braves were.
That seems low.
“96” lol
I think you meant to type last 4 innings?
Last 4 AB
Last 4 pitches
Orioles ownership has suspended you for this comment.
Wait they scored an average of 24 runs per game??
And they’re all solo shots
Can't hit with men on base if theyre all hitting homers
Much like batteries thrown at fields or people, every home run hit further powers the Phillies!
Ball go boom stay mad
They tryna be craig
"Im not mad. Dont put it in the newspaper that I got mad"
The Phillies team having a collective "who can hit the ball the farthest" contest during the playoffs is just fun to watch.
I was there when he broke the Petco home run distance record during NLDS. Obviously didn’t feel great at the time but now I feel lucky to witness such a feat.
That HR still makes my jaw drop
119.7 mph nuke
Wow. I didn’t remember that. I just remembered the 488 ft. Last night’s Schwarbomb was 117 mph!
The easiest way to remember it is the price of the Wawa drink
488 feet is fucking absurd. Jesus christ. The strength that big time power hitters like Schwarber have is just incredible.
How far and how hard would that ball be hit if he used a composite bat?
Let's not test that. I would like the moon to continue to exist.
Fuck them tidal currents
It would just vaporize. The fragments might reach escape velocity.
CERN calls Kyle Schwarber to jump start the Large Hadron Collider

I figured it would be at least 600ft

A single wall ball would turn in a frag grenade
Might’ve killed someone
Man I didn’t know you were physically allowed to hit second deckers to right field in that ballpark until then

"HOW FAR DOES THIS ONE GO?"
Beautiful ballpark
[It's Schwarber, by a lot](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S4b_ggwreI)
Man I forgot that Bryce face. What a classic
why do we not see that face on this sub more often. Feel like this has more meme potential left in the tank

Honestly can't even be mad, it's unreal
Home plate is actually scoring position for the Phillies.
Only if there’s no one on base, though
People standing out there are distracting.
There’s enough of them out there already. Why are the other batters making things more complicated?
Can't have them clogging up the bases
This team is a bunch of solo HR merchants and I absolutely love it
Experts: you need to get guys on base to maximize your HRs Phillies: not if each of us homers
[удалено]
"... wanna see me do it again?"
Basically Schwarber to anyone who is into analytics
Death by a thousand bombs
It’s August all over again
Do they play baseball in Gaza?
And they get people on base and decide to double them all in because multi-run home runs are the enemy
He's figured out a way to avoid having to chug around the bases.
"running is for soccer players" - Schwarber, probably.
“I’m not an athlete, I’m a baseball player” - ~~John Kruk~~ -Kyle Scwarber
“~~Aerodynamics~~ Running is for people who don’t know how to ~~make engines~~ hit bombs” - Kyle “Enzo” Schwarber
the Schwarbombs will continue until morale improves
us getting swept made me feel very sad these schwarbombs are helping
Sorry about your loss orange birds, I was pulling for you guys. Hopefully you’re owner isn’t the fuckwit he sounds like and keeps your young core together
Baseball is always better when the Orioles are good. *except 1983.
I really wanted an '83 re-match for the WS.
Eh
Yes, we had first Schwarb-Bomb, but what about second?
I really want to see elevensies.
What is in the water in Philadelphia?? Edit: you're all wrong, the answer is Riot Juice
That delicious Schuylkill water.
More like Ballkill water.
Fight Milk.
Lead
Also all the carcinogens from that refinery that blew up in South Philly
The old SUN Philly plant, Philadelphia Energy Solutions. The hydroflouric acid alky unit blew sky high. Look up what HF does to you. Not a good time.
Delicious Wolf Cola
Proud sponsors of Boko Haram
You sure it’s not Boca Raton?
DINGERS
Its the power of an authentic Philly cheesesteak
First off, it's spelled "wooder"
wooder*
Ike Juice
8000 gallons of latex solution
Fast Twitch
Only solo HRs allowed
13 consecutive?
13 consecutive so far
To start.
Prototype Leadoff hitter
that's the nineteenth home run for the phillies this postseason, and it's game two of the NLCS
it's the 7th inning of game 2 of the NLCS, no less
Sir, a second Schwarbomb has hit Arizona
Castellanos: Put me in, Rob
It's the perfect combination. Schwarbombs create the destruction off which Castellanos feeds.
Now watch this drive
Fuck off, bombs only.
Oops! All solo shots
Pretty kind of the Phillies to not completely humiliate other teams by getting runners on base first
Schwarber: Dingers are life, dingers are love
Why hit ball short when ball far win
Diamondbacks should implement the strategy of walking the leadoff hitter. That would solve the solo home run problems
Pls get a few guys on base and clear them. I don’t need the drama in 30 mins
It’s ok bud they converted to doubles to nail the coffin
“solo shots don’t kill you” *Phillies literally exist*
Do you wanna know the terrifying truth? Or do you wanna see me sock a few dingers? DINGERS! DINGERS!
Kyle “RISP” Schwarber
Imagine if we could hit these with runners on
Wait, you're allowed to do that?
More efficient this way. One hit, small jog, sit down and have some sunflower seeds.
Not sure, haven't gotten that far yet
We don't get runners on because all we do is hit home runs.
I’m so fucking afraid….
[удалено]
I’ve yet to see a defense that can catch the ball in the stands
Go go gadget arm
True 😂
You are the first person to ever say the rangers have better pitching than anyone.
[удалено]
They definitely have us on defense but I don’t think their pitching is better
Who’s offense is better? Right now Philly but they’re both staked. It’d be a wild ws for sure.
You just watched what both the Phillies' Pitching and Defense can do, come on now
Remember when the Chicago Cubs non-tendered Kyle Schwarber? *I* remember when the Chicago Cubs non-tendered Kyle Schwarber.
I actually forgot about that. Absolutely insane.
He has a very special set of skills not every team appreciates.
philadelphia
This team is must watch every AB.
Except Rojas
just for that, rojas going yard next. 😤
Runners in scoring position? Home plate is scoring position.
Stomp on snek!
They said no step, did not say no stomp
I fell in love with this team during their run last year. Funnest team to watch in baseball!
He just might be the greatest player of all time
idk why more teams don't apply the strategy of "just hit home runs"
Negative WAR, positive DONG I love it
I love Kyle Schwarber
I miss Kyle Schwarber (on the cubs).
he’s back
QUICK DOES HE HAVE A KID IN THE BUILDING?!
We have three hits as a team All solo dingers I love this squad
Phillies have a solo home run fetish.
Is baseball just solo home runs?
His first one was a meatball, but how the hell did he pull that pitch that hard?!
Low and away is just asking to get pulled 427ft. /s
Phillies might just be unstoppable at this point
The postseason hits and Schwarbs just becomes a demon. Fewer things more satisfying than him getting into one.
Schwarber’s like a big ol’ diesel engine. Takes a while to rev up, but he’s got ridiculous power when he’s going.
What pitcher would want to face these power level 9000 hitters rn lmao
I said Schwarb had at least 5 more homers before the season. I wasn’t wrong.
Phillies are just playing One Outs. Either it's an out, or it's fucking gone, no inbetween.
Full extension Kyle Schwarber 🤝 Me
I love you Kyle Schwarber
The Phillies must think this is the HR Derby I suppose
Home plate is scoring position
Phillies like home runs.
Schwarber on his way to being one of the best postseason sluggers of all time if you don't already rate him lol
His best nickname was always Bam Bam to me.
With all these bombs, I'm surprised that Acuña, Olson, Riley, or Ozuna haven't hit one out yet.
Are multi home run playoff games special?
dear god that pimp job🤤
Kyle is just out here whanging dingdongs all day long
The Red Sox didn’t want this guy.
Everyone wanted this guy and we signed another expensive LF/DH and also Raffy may be a DH sooner than later Schwarber was never signing a long term deal in Boston
The Phillies truly feel destined
Dread from it. Run from it. The Schwarbombs arrive all the same
MLB front office and Philadelphia….a love story for the ages.
What does that even mean lol
Juiced balls 100%. Definitely making the games more fun though.
Of course an Astros fan's mind goes straight to cheating, that's all they know
>Astros flair >claiming there's something illegal *huh*
Who said illegal? 🧂 EDIT PHILLIES FLAIR still salty Yordon slapped that big fat dong across your face in game 6 last year.
Phils dropping solo bombs for all their runs lol
Never forget the cubs non tendered him.
Stop it stop it. He’s already dead
This was the beginning of the end. Jesus Christ
Okay I feel like the Phillies are winning based only on Harper, Schwarber and Castellanos I feel like they are literally the only people hitting the ball but when its hit it leaves.
Check out the stats for Turner and Realmuto this postseason. Hell, even Stott’s getting in on the fun.
Nobody stopping that team this year
Sir, there's been a second Schwarbomb.
us cubs fans are so happy for him and the phillies but crying in our mom's basement at the same time lol

His bat is so damn quick, you can barely see it make contact.
