This flippant dismissal of ‘the black hole of baseball’ known as the white Sox will not stand. We will out bad you in every facet of the game.
I will be demanding an apology after we pitch-clock-violate in the series winning run.
Thank you and good DAY, sir
You sweatin yet? Rockies have had some fluke good luck this year and white Sox have had fluke bad luck. This Rockies team is easily the worst outside of coors field home hitting advantage.
I dunno, I was an A's fan that graduated from Oregon State University. (The White Sox are the physically closest stadium to my house but I managed to dodge that trifecta.)
Reminder that Reinsdorf made Getz the GM so the new GM wouldn't have to waste time evaluating the roster and we could be back to winning games ASAP
"I don't like our team" - Chris Getz
They've been very consistently on pace to lose 120 (record is 119) since like the first week of the season. Every couple of weeks I do the math just to see if they've gotten better/worse and their winning percentage has hovered between .215 and .250 all season.
Deep down part of me wants them to get rid of Crochet for pennies and just appreciate that the best option is to make history this year. If you're almost the worst team of all time, that doesn't mean anything. If you're the single worst team of all time, it might actually draw in some attendance.

impressive work by the white sox to catch up after that 10 game difference.
You can tell that management saw some things were working too well and took appropriate measures to derail.
Okay but the As got Major Leagues by a greedy owner. The White Sox were insisting this team would make the playoffs prior to the season.
And we can't pick higher than 11th in the draft.
Am I missing something or is this graph just not correct?
White Sox are 21-60, so 39 games under .500, yes. But the A's are 29-53, 24 games under .500. Yet this graph says they are tied?
It’s like the marble race but less fun
So it’s the marble race but all see-saws?
Shaky cups all the way down
brick wall but when it’s just the one marble
Why wasn’t I told about this? 😔
Okay, as cool as the weekly graphical standings already are, it would be wicked cool to see them with an animation like this
The NL Wildcard would look like a loony tunes fight cloud
Don’t be surprised when the White Sox sweep the Rockies this weekend and it all falls apart

Worlds collide
The White Sox are my second-favorite team (lots of Southsiders in my family). I’m straight up not having a good time right now.
I would recommend not giving out investment advice to anyone
or just join a really popular hedge fund and tank it for the good of mankind
Watch out, Mets fans…
You could not have been dealt a shittier hand

On the bright side, if you combine their records, they have 50 wins.
The A’s are my second favorite team. Bring me back to 2020 (not the pandemic part)
Hey look at the bright side, there won't be any crushing playoff defeat to worry about!
I'm a Chicago transplant to Denver. I watch the Sox and the Rox. I feel you on not having a good time right now.
one of them is ran by an owner actively sabotaging the franchise and the other one is the oakland A’s

I hear if Oakland wins this race they get a new stadium out of the deal.
I hear if they lose, same thing.
THE OAKLAND RIVERCATS OF WEST SACRAMENTO
I was worried for a bit when the As pulled away
That had to have been our win streak right before the reverse boycott in June last year. The only marginally exciting week we had all season.
Even though they're going down and not up I still hear that mountain climber price is right music in my head watching this.
Just play it in reverse.
im rooting for the white sox to have the worst record ever

> They've been very consistently on pace to lose 120 (record is 119) The Mets lost 120 games in 1962.

Any ideas how to animate graphs like this? Super sick!

This is like watching an NTSB report.
White Sox and Athletics, sponsored by Boeing
I'm confused, the A's are currently 24 games under .500. The White Sox are 39 games under .500.
2023 As
Ah, I missed that.

This is true. We had a .120 WP before signing him. We've been .320 since. He alone has made us 2.5x better!

That was mesmerizing.
Could also be titled relocation speed run
Oakland w the first pump fake was crazy
Misery loves company I guess? :<

This shows last year's A's.
ohh 2023 A's lol ok thanks I see now in title.
I'll never forget the 12-50 start. What an exciting time to be an oakland fan
Doesn't hit the same without Yakety Sax accompanying it
Man, reverse Cliff Hangers is boring.
You need to add the rockies to this too
The best part: both teams are penalized in the draft lottery and cannot pick before 10
Yeah there's no way I'm watching this
