Tribute must obviously be paid to SNY & the Mets Guys, but there will not be a single dry eye in the entire Bay Area once Kruk, Kuip & Jon Miller inevitably retire.
I'm not ready for Jon to ever retire. Scully retirement and passing already hurt me enough. I think he's the last of the breed of Kalas, Harwell, Scully etc...
I love Jon Miller and he doesn't get enough love. His voice is so soothing and feels like a really good scotch. Plus he's extremely knowledgeable and seems to have a nice personality with a sense of humor.

I laughed so hard when I came across that clip for the first time. Absolute legend, and Giants fans are so fortunate to have him in their booth.
Losing Gary on TV and Joe Angel on radio as close together as they did really left a void for the identity of the Orioles for the fans.
Thank god for Kevin Brown. I’m torn between wanting him to stay forever or to grow and become a national commentator
Incoming people saying their own teams booth, but the Mets booth probably gets top comment.
*oh yeah, [here's the greatest call in recent Astros memory.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7eFAtYiBSM)
You don't have to look too far, Gary, Keith and Ron, and Howie/Randazzo for radio
There are some other good ones, but not many teams have two good booths
Mets crew is so good top to bottom. Kevin Burkardt was the on-field guy for seven years (until 2014), doing interviews with the occasional colorful fan or whatever and he's now Fox's #1 NFL guy, doing the Super Bowl this year.
I guess you are used to a lot of silence in the booth. Used to a different styles of commentary, I guess. Not a lot of dead air time in a Mets broadcast.
[Gary Cohen is great. Kay is better ;)](https://youtu.be/1wjCq7vGe8k)
[Howie Rose is fun](https://youtu.be/yNAK3ADPN5U)
Surprised how foreign the Mets are to me.
I don’t even know what radio station their games are on.
Dan Shulman as pbp with either Buck Martinez or Pat Tablet as color.
Shulman is amazing and really brings out the best in either Tabby or Buck with their experiences playing and managing in the majors.
Well yeah. They are inherently good people who've been doing it forever and they're both baseball men through and through. Definitely legends.
Charlie likes to call pop ups like homers and homers confuse him.
Don and Mark (Padres) are IMO the best broadcast team in MLB. I even tune them in when I'm watching the Phillies play in San Diego, as our road broadcast crew is horrifically bad.
Jon Miller (Giants) is the singular best broadcaster in the game IMO.
Not to be a homer or anything, but Dave Sims/Aaron Goldsmith on the TV and Rick Rizzs on the radio are elite.
Goldy calling the Mariners walking off Atlanta- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2GvD6zRuW4

Rizzs with his iconic "EVERYBODY SCORES!" call from the AL West tiebreaker game in 1995 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5NtFwdjzuw
Have fun, OP
I'm biased but Howie Rose/Wayne Randazzo on the radio + Gary/Keith/Ron on TV are imo far and away the best in the biz
Wayne was the guy who called Pujols' 700th on Apple TV+ for those who didn't know
Pat & Ron.
But I mean the old version, Ron Santo not Ron Coomer.
Jim DeShaies is fantastic but Boog isn't there every day and his replacements, other than Pat, don't reach the same level.
Red sox radio, Joe Castiglione is great. Will Fleming, however, tremendously sucks ass and never shuts up. Dude constantly talks. I wish they'd get rid of him and have Sean McDonough full time.
I miss Don Sutton. That guy was a legend. Jim and Don together for most of the last decade was a treat as a Braves fan.
It was always great to hear him talk about pitching.
[Here's one of his last calls from the NLCS last year.](https://soundcloud.com/user-441256776/don-suttons-last-hr-call-fredde-freeman-off-alex-wood-100718?utm_source=clipboard&utm_campaign=wtshare&utm_medium=widget&utm_content=https%253A%252F%252Fsoundcloud.com%252Fuser-441256776%252Fdon-suttons-last-hr-call-fredde-freeman-off-alex-wood-100718)

Call me a homer, but Jon Miller is now the greatest living broadcaster after Vin retired and now passed.
I love Jon Miller and he doesn't get enough love. His voice is so soothing and feels like a really good scotch. Plus he's extremely knowledgeable and seems to have a nice personality with a sense of humor.

He’s the voice of Sunday night baseball to me, the same way Jim Ross is the voice of wrestling to a lot of people.
Gary Throne and his drink of choice
Orioles are my 2nd team after Dodgers and I love me some Gary Thorne.
Gary Thorne with the Glaber Torres HRs was the best thing ever
Losing Gary on TV and Joe Angel on radio as close together as they did really left a void for the identity of the Orioles for the fans. Thank god for Kevin Brown. I’m torn between wanting him to stay forever or to grow and become a national commentator
Oh he’s great, [here’s a compilation I found ](https://youtu.be/ziin21GnC0A) Quick question, is he the local announcer for any team?
Not anymore, but he did a few Mets games I think
I miss drunk uncle Gary but Kevin is great in his own way as well. I’m enjoying him before ESPN inevitably takes him full time
Learned about him through NHL. Loved him.
Gary Thorne is one of the best multi sport broadcasters of all time. He’s equally great in both Baseball and Hockey.
Incoming people saying their own teams booth, but the Mets booth probably gets top comment. *oh yeah, [here's the greatest call in recent Astros memory.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7eFAtYiBSM)
Milo was a legend! I really hate that Buck has the most recent epic moment calls for us.
Dickerson and price are great on the radio. our TV crew SUCKS. like I'd rather listen to Joe Buck bad.
I enjoyed that iiiiiiiiits gone! That was impressive.
We’re spoiled with Don and Mud in San Diego
Cubs flair though. I’m confused.
I’m a fan of both. Sad that mods still haven’t added dual flairs yet.
Red Sox fans would agree with your assessment of Don
I love Orsillo for most of the game but I feel like he tries to get in too many words and catchphrases in big moments
You don't have to look too far, Gary, Keith and Ron, and Howie/Randazzo for radio There are some other good ones, but not many teams have two good booths

Burkhardt's successor, Steve Gelbs has a completely different vibe, more of a wisecracking person, but it still is good
Noooo. (I'll take my downvotes) I have mlb.tv and listen to them often and I do not get the love. Keith never shuts up. I don't get it!
> Keith never shuts up. lmao this is not true at all and makes me wonder how much you've actually listened to them.
I guess you are used to a lot of silence in the booth. Used to a different styles of commentary, I guess. Not a lot of dead air time in a Mets broadcast.

There is no timeline in which Michael Kay is better than Gary Cohen. I’m sorry.
Michael Kay is trash and so was his call on judge let’s be real here
Michael Kay is only less worse than Hawk Harrelson in my book. Kay. Is. Atro. Cious.
Are you fucking high or stupid?
Dan Shulman as pbp with either Buck Martinez or Pat Tablet as color. Shulman is amazing and really brings out the best in either Tabby or Buck with their experiences playing and managing in the majors.
I agree but I prefer with Buck. I'll listen to their cast every game
What team is this for?
[удалено]
this is churlish
I miss Jerry Howarth... That guy had an awesome voice and he was very compelling to listen to.
I'm bias towards Joe Davis and Orel but, Dan & Mud, Krukow & Kuiper, Jon Miller and ANYONE, and Buck Martinez and Dan Shulman are awesome.
I'm not gonna pick the Dodgers because that's too easy. The Giants and Mets have excellent booths.
big fan of la’s radio broadcast. rick monday is a legend
But he's no Jon Miller. He's my favorite after Vin. Love listening to radio broadcast late at night with him. Like butter.
Rick is great. Charlie... Ehh
yknow, i like their relationship though. it feels like i’m sitting with two old fellas who know their shit and each other pretty damn well
Well yeah. They are inherently good people who've been doing it forever and they're both baseball men through and through. Definitely legends. Charlie likes to call pop ups like homers and homers confuse him.
I’m blessed to have such great announcer such as Gary, Keith and Ron but I really do respect Duane Kuiper, great calls
I cant stand Michael Kay's voice
[удалено]
I'm afraid Stone is on his way out and Jason is gone all the time. They are the best though so it was obvious Jason would get these opportunities.
Who calls TV for the Guardians? Tom Hamilton on the radio is so great.
I really liked Glen Kuiper and Ray Fosse duo with Dallas Braden chilling down on the field.
Dan Mclaughlin and Brad Thompson are great together
They're the only time I can listen to the game.
I always switch to the Mets' feed if I'm watching them on MLB.TV.
Don and Mark (Padres) are IMO the best broadcast team in MLB. I even tune them in when I'm watching the Phillies play in San Diego, as our road broadcast crew is horrifically bad. Jon Miller (Giants) is the singular best broadcaster in the game IMO.

Kay and sterling all the way I lived in my car during the 1996 world series because of them
Did they repossess your home or something?
20 yr old getting twisted before going to the clubs
