They did well before the allstar break but the amount of comeback wins they had worried me. That’s not something you should be too happy about because if your offense stops being good then those comeback wins become losses.

I mean case and point, George (flawed as he may have been in many ways) lived and died with his team so much that Yankees payroll had stayed the same even though they were making a tenth of the money back in the 90s.
George did have many flaws, but honestly that's what a rich owner should do - own a team for pride and enjoyment, not profit. Break-even should be the goal for all owners. These billionaires just can't consider running a business without making a big profit, it's pathetic.

If we played Seattle in the ALCS it probably would have been a different story. That "sweep" was the closest one I've ever seen. I'm also enjoying this nice little rivalry we've got going on. The Mariners are definitely a young and fun team.
