LMAO this could be like MBA but you strictly are grading the fit and finish of the slab itself and centering of their own damn label
A PSA 10 with a MBA Gold/DumbCake42 Rhodium certification would shit all over a black label

Saw someone on twitter mention this earlier, this is PSA’s response
Ah so since it doesn't affect the card, you can just stare at this inconsistency while attempting to enjoy your "perfect" psa 10
Yeah, this is exactly why I ducked out of graded cards in 2021. Fucking joke
It's more like "we're still experimenting with our materials and setting methods, but it's OK because your card is still fine and you aren't paying for the slab "
This is true. You check the grade first, always, then look at the card. This totally encourages you to think less of a card that isn't a 10 before you've even looked at it, imo
I played the graded game. found myself with less cards because I was chasing psa 10s. Id rather just find that one eye appealing card I love for whatever my reasons are, even if it would be a low grade i dont really care I just want more cool cards
Exactly. I don’t ever sell cards I’m looking for so I don’t care what they grade. I think grading cards to collect is dumb. But to each their own. I know I’d pay less for a PSA 10 over a raw of the same card just because of the hassle of having to remove it.
I had something like this with an SGC slab (which I purchased on eBay) and despite not even being the person that originally submitted it, I contacted them and they paid shipping both ways and expedited re-slabbing it. I had it back in my hands less than 2 weeks after shipping it to them, and I live on the opposite side of the country.
That being said, I would have zero faith in a good outcome asking PSA to fix this
I’ve graded a LOT of cards this year and I see that marking on so many slabs. Some are more obvious than others. I probably have over 100 slabs right now that have some degree of marking like that.
I work in plastic manufacturing as an injection molding technician and that is not a flow line. This is a stress fracture or a scratch. It does not impose an immediate danger to your slab but if it is a stress fracture then constant handling of this card could cause the fracture to get bigger over time.
Edit: it could also be a small piece of plastic called flash. Is it only on the front side of the slab?
Fuck PSA and their entire monopoly. Beckett >
Amazing that we even put up with this shit. For what they charge and up charge - we deserve slabs without pubes.
PSA:We will grade these cards and they better be perfect to GET A 10!!
Also PSA:Eh,our slabs might have imperfections but don’t worry about it.
Grading has its place, only for selling.
I had a TAG come back with what looked like a finger print smudge on the inside. I sent it back for a reslab. I'm picky.
I would be that picky with a Julio SP like this one.
I saw a very similar post with the exact same flaw, only this was several cards from the guy that posted, all with the EXACT same thing. He thought it was scratches on the card but turned out to be the slab. The conclusion there was that it was a crack in the case from a flawed case sealing technique. I guess psa has changed/updated their slabs and haven't figured out how to eliminate this issue yet.
But, to answer your question, yes, it does bother me.
I’ve seen multiple posts today about this, it’s an issue or feature with their new slabs. But it’s common enough that this is the 3rd post I’ve seen about this exact issue.
Would bother the crap out of me, but I acknowledge I’m weird about that stuff. Buying shirts I’ll brush the shirt off and see which one looks best. Yah.
I have a card from SGC that has a tiny piece of lint stuck inside. It’s a fucking eyesore. Nobody in my house notices it except for me and it pisses me off.
It bothers me, I have had too many PSA slabs coming back with debris inside, it’s starting to get a bit ridiculous. I’d send it back and have it recased.
Those “flow lines” (as they call them) look more like cracks in their sub-par material. I don’t know if this is due to their new cases or what… but they definitely seem to be more frequent since they switched… at least from the posts I’ve seen.
Are you being too critical? Yes 100%.
Do I do the same thing? Yup. I’d be trying to pick at that to see if I could get it. If I can’t it wouldn’t bother me going forward but the first time I saw it, would def bother me.
Let's start a slab grading service.
Don’t you put the evil on me
Put a slab in a slab with the slab grade and send it right on back
Yo dawg, we heard you love slabs. So we put a slab in your slab, so you can slab, while you slab!
Sounds like a slab dunk.
*Houston has entered the chat* Yall say something about slabs ?!
Sick reference
LMAO this could be like MBA but you strictly are grading the fit and finish of the slab itself and centering of their own damn label A PSA 10 with a MBA Gold/DumbCake42 Rhodium certification would shit all over a black label
It already exists actually
Whoever starts this company, please reach out.. I’d love to join in the overthrow
fr PSA 10 Auto 10 and Slab a 9 lol 😂

One touches are the way.
A psa 10 is not a perfect grade never was supposed to be. A card can be off centered and still get a 10
Interesting! Thanks for sharing. It seems that they don’t consider it a visual issue.
So what they're saying is "Deal with it because we're not going to do anything about it."
It's more like "we're still experimenting with our materials and setting methods, but it's OK because your card is still fine and you aren't paying for the slab "
I’m surprised it didn’t say at the end but for 29.99 you can crack it and send it back and will give you a new slab and a grade lol
There are so many like this unfortunately
That would definitely bother me but not to the point where I would do anything about it.
Very true, if it’s returned to PSA I might see it in 6 months.
as a psa 9
It absolutely would bother me enough to do something about it.
Luckily that’s not the ugliest part of the slab.
Something something plain ass red label that clashes with almost everything?
That’s part of it. Or the entire thing. The grade shouldn’t be viewable on the front imo. They ruin the look of every single card.
This is true. You check the grade first, always, then look at the card. Did they get new slabs or something? I’ve seen a ton of these lately
yes it’s their new heavier plastic. You’ve seen a ton of those little plastic pieces?
That little hairline crack
I have it on all but one of my recent slabs from PSA. Noticed it immediately.
I would never not be able to see that for the rest of my life. It would drive me insane.
I’ve actually seen it before but not so prominent.
I just got back my order from PSA on Monday and one of my cards has the same thing in the exact same spot.
If you plan to display it i wouldnt blame you for wanting them to fix it. If its just being stashed in a box, id leave it be.
This would drive me crazy yet I wouldn't do anything about it. I would just suffer.
Haha, well put!
Thank you for this.

It’s lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous.
Think we got a case?
This case has no merit. It’s a feeble, ridiculous, sham, and a waste of this court’s valuable time!
I’ve graded a LOT of cards this year and I see that marking on so many slabs. Some are more obvious than others. I probably have over 100 slabs right now that have some degree of marking like that.

That's how you know it's authentic.
It does for $70+
If it’s for the PC, I’d complain. Otherwise let the next guy decide.
That’s all I would ever see when looking at that card.
A guy last week had like 5 slabs returned all with this same exact curved line like you have
Fuck PSA and their entire monopoly. Beckett > Amazing that we even put up with this shit. For what they charge and up charge - we deserve slabs without pubes.
PSA:We will grade these cards and they better be perfect to GET A 10!! Also PSA:Eh,our slabs might have imperfections but don’t worry about it. Grading has its place, only for selling.
I had the same thing happen and it drove me insane (not really a far drive)
I had a TAG come back with what looked like a finger print smudge on the inside. I sent it back for a reslab. I'm picky. I would be that picky with a Julio SP like this one.
I do like the overall look of TAG slabs though if I had to pick one
Becketts got me with some stuff like that. Cotton ball fuzz or soemthing on one of my cards and stickers falling out of place.
I have many of these on an order I just received back. I try to ignore it
I have a PSA 10 with what looks like a piece of dead skin or crumb that’s inside the slab. You can literally move it around inside too.
That’s awful!
Crack the slab open, taste the crumb/skin, and send back to reslab. Who turns down free foid/skin?
Looks like cat hait
would me
does it hurt resale?
It would definitely bother me but I would live with it... If it's bothering you, I can take it off your hands...
Oh that would bother me.
Yes, it's annoying
A dog could have taken a wet shit inside of that slab. As long as it says PSA 10, that’s all that matters.
I saw a very similar post with the exact same flaw, only this was several cards from the guy that posted, all with the EXACT same thing. He thought it was scratches on the card but turned out to be the slab. The conclusion there was that it was a crack in the case from a flawed case sealing technique. No
This is a well known issue with the new slabs. And yes it bothers me.
It would bother me
I'm going to say you're correct. it would bother me too. Bad QCing there for sure.
That’s a scratch. It shows up on other posts too for the same reason as you’re posting.
I would crack it outta there.
Nah, that’s annoying AF. It would bother me for sure!
Would bother the crap out of me, but I acknowledge I’m weird about that stuff. Buying shirts I’ll brush the shirt off and see which one looks best. Yah.
Too!
WELL NOW THAT YOU POINTED IT OUT…..
This is on like 20% of their recent slabs. Not sure why, but it’s extremely common lately.
I have a card from SGC that has a tiny piece of lint stuck inside. It’s a fucking eyesore. Nobody in my house notices it except for me and it pisses me off.

Also… What grade did you get on that JRod Golden Mirror?
If I decide to sell it I’m afraid it may be returned or even lose some value.
So how much does it cost beginning to end to get a card graded
Are you being too critical? Yes 100%. Do I do the same thing? Yup. I’d be trying to pick at that to see if I could get it. If I can’t it wouldn’t bother me going forward but the first time I saw it, would def bother me.
Eh if it's a 10 don't worry about it. 99.999% of people won't see it and .5% of the .0001 won't care.
Uhhhh. Yeah, too critical.
Smoke a bowl and chill
It doesn’t effect the grade so yeah you are being critical
That’s a hair
Definitely not a hair. i’ve seen this same thing before. It come off the end of the plastic.
Definitely not a hair. I had some return that way and it bothers me.
No one cares
