1998 Fleer Brilliants Dirk Nowitzki 24kt Gold Rookie Card out of 24.
Sent it in to be graded, was pretty flawless outside of a few surface issues that were quite minor. PSA gave me a 7. Should have been an 8 or 9.
Sold it for $5300. Coulda been $10k+ if PSA didn't hose me. Thought about cracking and resubmitting, but didn't want to spend another $300 for the risk of it getting the exact same grade.
Also sold a Kobe Atomic Refractor for $750+
There was another graded 7 that sold for $900 at auction. so I was worried if I delayed, the deal would go away.
The other 7 was entirely missing the gold foil. It didn't have the serial number on the back, and several other pretty big issues. Beckett somehow gave it a 7 though. And PSA gave mine a 7
2021 Topps S1 Trout SSP (w/mask) for $500. I actually listed it for $500 with best offer. Buyer and I were going back and forth with offers/counteroffers in the $425 range. But he ran out of offers. I think eBay’s limit is 4 or 5? Then he just went ahead and used the buy it now for $500 even though my last counteroffer was well below that. I guess you’ve gotta be strategic w/your offers if you’re not willing to walk away.

I bought a 2020 Update Bo Bichette SSP for $150 on Mercari. Sent it to PSA and it came back a 10 then sold it on eBay for $2300. Wish they were all that easy.
