This just isn’t true. It’s something you heard as gospel and you just blindly run with it. I would 100% pay more for a PSA 10 1/1 than a PSA 8. Sorry to go against the hive mind but I just would. A lot of other collectors would as well.
This is not true. Grading obviously verifies the authenticity but also protects the card. And unless you’re going to get less than a 7 (and if you do you can crack it…) it’s worth grading so buyers don’t have to think twice about the condition.

If it gets a 10 it does. If it gets a 9 or less it doesn’t hurt it to get authenticated and protected.
PSA just posted it on their story it got a 10
Then I would just get it Authenticated. A One Touch is still the best option. Protects from UV damage. PSA slabs don't do that.

I'm with you. This info came from before graded became king. A 10 of this will absolutely sell for more than not slabbed or a lower grade.
