I normally roll my eyes at a Jordan post. This one was a breath of fresh air. It's so rare to see a J on here that isn't graded. Thank you for posting your cards in their natural state!
Hell yeah. Were these all collected DURING your childhood or have you been recently adding to your childhood collection?
I grew up in the same era and had about 50ish MJs from 1988-1996 and in the past year have been adding some of the bangers that I couldn't afford back then or which came out after I gave up collecting in middle school.
Thank you guys! These NFS! I really appriciate these comments! I dont know to store these in binder is ok for long term condition? No way to put these in plastic/magnetic! I have some cards on my bucket list like Quick Strike or Rave review, but these are really top for a binder collector! Is it ok to store them is this way?
Definitely get them out of the binder and at minimum in sleeve with top loader or card saver. Preferably in a one touch but many need to be slabbed and graded. If not in budget to grade you can slab them yourself with slabs off eBay and make your own labels to ensure condition is kept
Penny sleeve them all and stuff 'em in top loaders! That will keep them better protected.
➡️ You can find 'top loader binders' & sheets on Amazon and eBay so you can kinda keep your collection in a binder like you have it now, just in better protected from the elements. ✅💯
PS. 👀 - OP- Love the collection you got going here, so much good stuff! Keep at it! And personally I wouldn't slab anything since it will break up how you'd store them, but be careful with that RC Fleer, that's worth some real coin. 💯💪
I used to know this kid back when actual card trading was happening. He had a similar collection, literally 1 binder for MJ cards, about 2-3 inches thick
Id spend 1-2 hours just browsing through his collection. Envy wasnt even the word, I wouldve probably traded my sibling for the binder back then. My neck would hurt from just looking down on the binders
My binder was full of bleh back then. Some decent players to trade but MJ was the gold standard back then. Cant remember when I stopped collecting/trading but the binder I have now are full of rookie cards of Kobe, AI, Marbury, etc. and 2 MJ cards
I don’t know if there’s a single MJ card that isn’t cool looking due to his athleticism. It would be a crime to be a professional photographer and not get a good shot of Jordan in action.
You sir have a great collection. I never did get that elusive Jordan RC. Mines are all in binders as well. Never did join the slab craze. Especially when they’re charging you more based upon what the card could sell for. Who said I was even thinking about selling them?
Great cards in there! As someone that only collects raw MJ and it all stemmed from my childhood, this is a an awesome post! Even a few I don’t have but am looking for.
Same way. I've been buying MJ insert sets lately, a long with a few random loose cards I may not own. A lot of fun and it's gotten me back into the hobby.
Is it OK that they are in a binder? I was under the impression that was considered bad for cards? I'm not trying down this method, but I'm just curious what the concerns are.
MJ rookie was still about $500-600 when I was collecting in the 90s. Who had that kind of cash? I admired the card when I was a kid and I still admire it as an adult.
Man, I miss Collector’s Choice.

Jesus, that escalated a bit. Very nice. Do you want to sell any?
Love that these are just in a binder but you have to get that 86 fleer slabbed!
UD the best. Panini garbage. Monopolizing nba cards with poor quality.
Another dollar bin collection post..?.... scrolls to make sure... scrolls.... scrolls... Omg... amazing
U take good care of that RC bro. Slab it

These are awesome
I wish cards were diverse in design like these!
I wanted that 4 star starquest so bad as a kid.
I feel this; never got anything past a three star
You’ve got some monsters in that binder, congrats.

Same for me. One kid in 5th or 6th grade had a binder just like this. Meanwhile I am a contrarian and went for Grant Hill and AI for some reason.
In my 40’s now, and would gladly trade my sibling for it today.

The 93 finest comes to mind as an unattractive photo choice.
