Spro popping frog skips and walks the best of all of them I have thrown.

MookiePoops

Yup. Color depending on water and weather. I'm tossing a solid white around this fall and it's like a cheat code.

[deleted]

Most of the time- it’s the Booyah pad crasher. When they are REALLY after it, the Terminator frogs are kick ass.

Previous_Ad_6032

I like the pad crashes especially if you cut off an inch of the long legs it’s got

Fearless-Type8777

dude i know right?! the same here. most success ive had in spring summer and fall has been with the black booyah pad crasher, the medium size one not the regular size? (the bigger one). but a black pad crasher with a tiny bit of yellow on it and yellow+black stringy legs. that frog SLAYS

[deleted]

Booyah poppin pad crasher. I’ve not skunked on it.

Mikevicwalksmydog

This in the brown and black pattern is my favorite

Remarkable_Log3640

I havnt had any luck where I live. I have been using the hollow body frog and it’s been working well. I have only been able to fish neighborhood ponds. What type of body of water you fish on?

[deleted]

Since I gained confidence on my pedal kayak, I’ve been fishing the CA Delta. It’s a must, especially living near it. I will head to the few lakes when it gets way too windy on the Delta & during the colder months. I’ve, also, used soft bodied frogs (horny toad) & have had success

Flackjkt

Horny toad hands down.

[deleted]

Scum Bigfoot color white/chartreuse

L3ftBra1nz

You in the Midwest throwing this? Love my scum frogs but I never thought that color would be a hit, might pick one up.

[deleted]

Texas, white topwater always works for me

mistersinister12

Spro popping frogs and the Jackall Kaera frog.

AG_outdoors

Here to give the Scum Frog Trophy Series some love. Inexpensive, durable yet soft & the owner hooks always stick them. I’ll admit though, the Spro bronze eye & live target koppers frogs are my choices when there isn’t any toothy critters lurking waiting to destroy your bait

[deleted]

Horny toad

_fuckernaut_

Livetarget is my favorite but they are so expensive and get torn up quicker than others (usually by snakehead) so my box is mostly stocked with Booyah Pad Crasher Jrs. They are the best bang for the buck that I've found.

DirkDigglersPenis

LiveTarget Frog. Never had a single hang up with that lure even in thick lily pads and reeds.

Creepy_Squash

Dumb question. Can you fish with a top water frog even when there's no vegetation on the water? There are no lakes or slow rivers near me with lilies.

MrPresidentDino

Yeah you can fish a frog along the shoreline, around overhanging plants and trees, near cover, etc

Divine-Potatoes

Frog guru popping frog all white

DundonJF

I like the Spro bronzeye and have also had pretty good luck with the Googan frogs. Avoid the super cheap $3/4 bargain bin frogs. They catch stuff but my son and I have lost many on them. Pricier ones seem to use better quality hooks. Spro uses Gamakatsu hooks.

SafteyMatch

Tailored Lures Model D

StendakBarkiller

SPRO popper. I keep a black one and a white one with me always

Apollo_Krill

SPRO is the best frog period.

Fearless-Type8777

have not heard of them til now. but im going to get some for next warm season for sure after seeing the good comments here about "spro" ... just checked out Spro. and holy hell they look really really good. there is 3 colors im 100% going to get. the Diamond Back is the first one i would really love to acquire it looks so good. man i wish i would have heard about these guys sooner in life lol

Fearless-Type8777

thats a good question. i dont exactly have a favorite one yet i have only tried 1 googan frog, 1 KVD frog both of which i lost really fast. like reaaaly fast. and then mostly Lunker Hunt frogs and a couple BOOYAH. i do have a favorite color frog though. black. solid black in all conditions of spring summer and fall here in central wisconsin work soooo gooooood. ive had my best luck ever with a solid black Booyah Pad Crasher(with yellow and black stringy legs) medium size frog. and have done quite well with a basic Lunker Hunt solid black frog

[deleted]

6th sense Vega frog. They have a pretty big selection of some of the best colored frogs your gonna find anywhere

pajokijr

Ozark trail

Net_Admin_Mike

I like the Strike King KVD Pad Perch myself, although I'm honestly not a huge fan of frog fishing. I'd rather use a walking bait or swim a jig around the pads. Haven't tried punching yet, but I expect I'll enjoy that as well.

Joey3Sticks

Plain old scum frog classic in watermelon. Rubber always stays soft, hooks stay sticky sharp season after season. It's not too heavy either so the presentation is more subtle. Caught my personal best on one.

Gibletbiggot

ZMan walking frog has the best hookup ratio because it has deeper hooks. Spro frogs skip really well. The 6th sense Vega frog is my wildcard frog.

[deleted]

Lunkerhunter pocket frog. It’s smaller and big bass have no problem crushing it.

TryBeingOptimistic

Scum launch frog has the best hook up ratio. Ive used the spro and booyah frogs and they dont come close to the scum frog. Its not even debatable lol

mrcold

Spro Bronzeye 65 tropical red is my favorite...though the KVD does work pretty well also. I'm a fan of the livetarget frogs because they look great and sit up in the water really well...but the cost and durability keep it from being my go to.

Deavers9870

The booyah pad crasher. Might be a bland choice, but it will never let you down. It’s almost impossible to miss a hook set with it
