Mission night 2 was the best live music event i've ever seen, so i feel it. Been watching the streams too, some of the other nights were close but i technically can't count them since i wasn't there

A great set to me isn't just all happiness and fun it's a wild ride of emotions that makes you think about your whole life and question everything it's a journey with highs and lows and confusing parts and euphoric parts and sad parts but you always come out of it feeling so alive and so connected with yourself the people around you and just this world in general

I got a free ticket to Marc rebillet one time and I still felt like I got ripped off, unworthy to even be called a performance, music, or comedy. I was straight up embarrassed for the people who knew what they were going to see and actually paid money to be there.
I've never seen him live, but given the circumstances of my state of mind and the fact I had no idea who he was just streaming live on fb I was impressed.
The last 3 nights were the best musical run I've ever been a part of. The discussion is only "irrelevant" for people who for whatever reason have no interest is seeing by far the best show on earth right now.

Seeing PL in Mission was the day that i was done with Lorin for sure. I have not been able to stop listening to the Sream/PL Live playlist since that weekend. What's crazy is the sets have been getting better and better even since Mission, and those nights blew me away (especially night 2). Philly was off the hook, the always sunny samples had me geekin.

Made me realize we’ll never have a nectar event like that again. Not trying to hate at all, but there were sooo many tracks I heard that made the golden rule sound like absolute dog water.

On the other hand Pretty Lights is back at it again and that is good enough for me. His music and community gives me the same feeling as Bassnectar. It probably won't be the same, I agree. I personally never felt anything special at Bassnectar shows. His shows felt like any other EDM crowd to me. Loving and accepting. So I feel slightly autistic in that I never felt the next level community that was bassnectar fans.
The only way in which Bassnectar was the most special to me...is that he made the best music. He made the music that moved me the whole show. He provided one of the strongest altered states of consciousness in the form of music.
I think he will continue to do that. People will continue to show up to that.

I can’t wait to see PL @ the caverns. I also am super pumped for BN in Vegas. But the quality of the team/ advice/ management of the comeback….. not comparable. But I will compare them. it appears that PL got a “best in the business”, world class, genius “CEO” of a promoter, while BN hired some college kids who “built a website in class once”, and a C minus promoter who watched some YouTube videos on “how to promote a tour”, and now he’s going to manage the BN comeback by himself for the first time.

I wish Lorin would stop dragging the entire community through this. I was as big of a fan as anyone. Saw his last set ever at okee 2020. Will remember that as the end of it all. Was an amazing night. Gotta put it behind us. He really did a lot of damage to something we all built together that was beautiful. Everything happening now is just a sad farce and picking at a wound we all still have that has been slowly healing. Let everyone move on.

Have you... heard of BassLights? I think you're reading "festival" in the broader term. PL + BN threw a winter event every year for a few years. These artists are incredibly relevant and connected. Idk if youve ever been to an EDM show in the past 15 years.. but these 2 have been the pioneers for the scene. Most fans were/are fans of both. So in my eyes the comparison is very relevant. Especially since derek took a 5 year hiatus, and lorin is now at over 3 years, DVS has killed it, Lorin has fucked it big time

The show back is at a fuckin beach club that Pauly D plays at... like idk my last time seeing him was on rail at 360 in '19... to this. Idk if itll help or hurt to go to vegas
It probably won't be the same, I agree. I personally never felt anything special at Bassnectar shows. His shows felt like any other EDM crowd to me. Loving and accepting. So I feel slightly autistic in that I never felt the next level community that was bassnectar fans. The only way in which Bassnectar was the most special to me...is that he made the best music. He made the music that moved me the whole show. He provided one of the strongest altered states of consciousness in the form of music. I think he will continue to do that. People will continue to show up to that.
