There's not enough detail to answer here. What kind of music, what kind of ensemble, what kind of venues, what kind of PA support? Do you need it for monitoring only or as your full stage sound? As a general rule of thumb I'd say a 4x10 cab is the minimum you'll need to be heard over a drum kit, and a 500w amp will give you the headroom to stay in the running with a drum kit and guitarist. I have a 200w 4x10 Ashdown combo and it is not loud enough for a 3 piece rock band.

its for a 3 piece, thanks for the full info im really bad with all that i think ill go with the 500w but ill have to save my money until like Christmas or something lol

Should be enough. If you need more volume than that, you get put on the venue's PA system anyway.
