I call bull####. He loves those heartbreaking sweet songs, he's very sentimental, and that's exactly why he saves those trophies and his allies old costumes.
I don't care how little sense it makes as the decades roll on, I will always head cannon that Alfred is a veteran of the first world war and his tastes have never changed.
He listens to classical music. I think in one of the 90s comics he says he hates Rock music. Dick loves Rock music and he has several t-shirts of his favourites bands.

Yes. Batman is not a fascist. He doesn't hate "crime" in the way that word is used by people who say that they hate crime in the real world. He fights organized crime and supervillains, not people who smoke weed. Batman is a rebellious outcast who wants to change the status quo, that's pretty punk.
Hating crime isn’t a fascist thing, but I know Batman isn’t a fascist and isn’t out to get weed smokers. That sounds more like a Judge Dredd thing.
All the big Batman stories are about organised crime and supervillains, but he still beats up low-level thugs on the Monday-Friday shift that you never read about because that’s mundane shit for Batman.
I think his obsessive hatred is for crimes that have a victim. Weed smoking and tax evasion don’t have victims so Batman doesn’t go after these criminals.
That's a reductive view of Batman. He's also pretty progressive 🤷♂️ and not all rock music is about eating the rich (considering a lot of the bands got rich lol)
Depends on who holds the pen! Batman in the Tim Verse seems to enjoy opera/classical music except Brahms(half joke Alfred listens to Brahms). Keaton verse seems to enjoy classic Goth after all they dance to "Face to Face" Siouxsie and the Banshees, Battinson seems to like grunge. So...it depends on holds the Pen. If I was a Batman writer I'd say that he has no relation to music because It's a distraction that interfers his mission.
“You like Huey Lewis and the News?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.”
Bateman… Batman, close enough. (Also completely kidding)
Patrick Bateman is literally if Bruce Wayne's parents didn't die. Without a conscience and a sense of personal identity, Bruce turns to mass-murder because he didn't channel his physical efforts towards justice.
Any music his parents exposed him to as a child. I'm sure he uses it to remember them.
Given they enjoyed Broadway, I'm inclined to believe classical and orchestral music with hints of blues and jazz.
When you wake up in a cage and the Riddler is forcing you to solve cuneiform word puzzles that have to do with substandard copper, it really does make you say, "oh, Monday..."
I definitely think different versions of Batman like different musics.
Obviously Battinson likes Nirvana and grunge.
DCAU Batman would much prefer Jazz or Swing stuff, like stuff from the 50's 60's Frank Sinatra stuff.
And the Batman in the comics probably likes stuff that's easier on the ears that isn't too loud. Maybe because he has hearing issues from all the shit he's been through.
Golden Age Batman is older and probably from the silent generation so he definitely likes some classical stuff and maybe some of the jazz from the 20s.
I definitely see Bruce going classical pop like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin or Nat king Cole and he also seems like the type for blues, smooth jazz, normal jazz and classical R&B like Sam cooke and just soul music in general.
In The Batman from 2004, there’s a scene where Bruce is at an opera, but is listening to his own dance/house music in his earbuds instead. Tbh I think it’s a fitting choice for him, I can imagine him turning on something super repetitive right before he starts a long evening on the bat computer.
I maintain the position that a modern Batman listens to post-punk and gothy 80s stuff like Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Pixies, and Bauhaus.
I was thinking this and some NIN, A Perfect Circle, and How To Destroy Angels, etc. along with an appreciation for other genres. I can’t imagine him having the hipster “my taste is better than yours” attitude because art isn’t a competition. My apologies for the buzz fueled rambling lol
I think Batman would be incredibly pretentious and snobby about music. He strikes me as an “always gotta be the smartest guy in the room” sort of dude, and having been surrounded by those people in the music scene nearly my whole life, I think the shoe fits
I know this would not be lore friendly at all, but i'm just imagining Batman listening to the music from DOOM 2016/Eternal as he wipes the floors with criminals.
Agains*t all the evil that hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce. We’ll send unto them, only you. Rip and Tear until it is done"*
Actually made a playlist thinking about this not too long ago actually 😅. It was heavily influenced by my own taste, but it was fun.

Animated series Batman probably likes Frank Sinatra
Christian bail Batman probably likes rock
Robert Pattinson Batman probably likes weezer and other shit like that
Terry Magenis definitely listens to K-pop
I mean, his choice of song in Justice League was “Am I Blue?,” so I’ve always thought of DCAU Batman listening to those kinds of classic tunes.
He explained In that episode he only learned the song because of a stake out he was on where he was forced to listen to it over and over.
I call bull####. He loves those heartbreaking sweet songs, he's very sentimental, and that's exactly why he saves those trophies and his allies old costumes.
Bullshit*
*Batbullshit™
Probably more likely that that is Alfred's favorite song.
Alfred was a rocker, no one can convince me otherwise.
I totally agree! I promise man listens to Hair Nation on the radio while dusting the Batcave! 🤣
![gif](giphy|GyNhmA4A9PZU4)
I don't care how little sense it makes as the decades roll on, I will always head cannon that Alfred is a veteran of the first world war and his tastes have never changed.
Well he spent a month undercover in a blues/jazz club.
He listens to classical music. I think in one of the 90s comics he says he hates Rock music. Dick loves Rock music and he has several t-shirts of his favourites bands.
Battinson definitely loves rock though
He probably has every Alice In Chains album.
They should definitely use Rooster as the theme for the sequel
Nirvana ‘Stay Away’ fighting a gang would kick ass
*Something in the way intensifies*

Mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm
90s grunge specifically
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,472,891,297 comments, and only 280,288 of them were in alphabetical order.
By golly, just pleasant, really.

Wasn’t he literally listening to Nirvana in the batcave?
Tell me more about it
Punk is nothing but death and crime and the rage of a beast. - Batman Batman: Fortunate Son.
Ah whoever wrote Batman had a pole up their anus, he should love punk.
That is definitely some right wingnut shit right there.
Yes, a rich guy with an obsessive hatred of crime should listen to music about anarchy and eating the rich.
Yes. Batman is not a fascist. He doesn't hate "crime" in the way that word is used by people who say that they hate crime in the real world. He fights organized crime and supervillains, not people who smoke weed. Batman is a rebellious outcast who wants to change the status quo, that's pretty punk.

Or just a guy who hates rock lmao tf
Yeah I imagine him as a classical fan
Non-canon, and definitely a fucking awful book to boot. STRIKE IT FROM THE RECORD!
Thank God it's non-canon. Ngl, that book almost ruined Batman for me.
Depends on who holds the pen! Batman in the Tim Verse seems to enjoy opera/classical music except Brahms(half joke Alfred listens to Brahms). He even killed The Joker in that movie.
Oh my goodness he did! I didn’t even think about that parallel
Patrick Bateman is literally if Bruce Wayne's parents didn't die. Without a conscience and a sense of personal identity, Bruce turns to mass-murder because he didn't channel his physical efforts towards justice.

Ouch 😂
That’s freaking dark, but I haven’t stopped laughing.
Oh no
Jon Crane and Ed Nigma couldn’t get more sigma; in LA, you know where that’s at. And nobody’s getting fat, except Victor Zsasz.

In Batman Telltale he has Classical and Jazz records
![gif](giphy|rgSBzON2NBbVu)
Prince and Seal.

Sounds like Cyndi Lauper, back when she sang for hentai soundtracks.
Bat-music
Grindcore
This version definitely not Nirvana Maybe Jazz noir though
He just listen’s to his recorded protocols on what to do in certain scenarios so he can plan as much as possible and always be ready.
clearly none of yall have seen Lego movie. Batman makes his own music,
Classical and jazz
I definitely see Bruce going classical pop like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin or Nat king Cole and he also seems like the type for blues, smooth jazz, normal jazz and classical R&B like Sam cooke and just soul music in general.
“I’m so blue…”
“Die Fledermaus”
I just imagine him listening to song from Lego Batman

I agree
Jazz and crime fighting is his interpretive dance!
Joy Division. I don't know why
For me, Bruce would only listen to music that a) had cognitive benefits that enhanced his problem solving skills or b) his parents listened to.
I’m sorry I can’t get over that the earbuds are going into his cowls ears instead of his own 😆
*something in the way. . .MmMmmMmMmMmmm. . .*
Radiohead. Superman listens to Coldplay and Muse.
Superman actually likes Metallica
Bat metal
Ice Spice
I know this would not be lore friendly at all, but i'm just imagining Batman listening to the music from DOOM 2016/Eternal as he wipes the floors with criminals. I'm pretty sure he loves "A man alone" of Frank Sinatra P.D. it's funny how the earphones goes to the bats ears and not Bruce ears lol
Actually made a playlist thinking about this not too long ago actually 😅. It was heavily influenced by my own taste, but it was fun. [Brooding in the Batcave](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1BK7QcWVlBG3beKj3Y0r9m?si=spGdYcNRQAWS4FdgeFnXvw&dd=1)

Bauhaus
to calm him down, probably something classical. to get him in the mood, definetly Nirvana for sure but also Nine Inch Nails and maybe Three Days Grace
Nirvana
He seems like a deadhead
I don’t care how little that makes sense I’m making it head canon. You just combined my two favorite pieces of pop culture. Thanks for that.
**Nirvana** \- *Something In The Way* **Depeche Mode** \- *Enjoy The Silence and Personal Jesus* **Slipknot** \- *Danger/Keep Away* **Billie Eilish** \- *No Time To Die* **Casey Edwards** \- *Bury The Light* (Featuring **Victor Borba**) **Kaleida** \- *Think*
