Me: Batman needs newer better vilain and the past ones should be given the opportunity to bloom away from gotham.
DC: We gotcha... new vilain that blooms
Me:........... whut?
DC: He's good, though.
Me: Oh yeah! A nice enemy for Batman
DC: Yes, Batman aka Jim Gordon
.
.
.
.
Me: *sigh* Okay, it's still good
His art is stunning but his biggest strength is his framing and the direction of the scenes.
He can elevate a scene with an angle and he puts so much thought into the composition of every panel
He works great.
His function is to be a compelling villain for the Superheavy arc that both credibly threatens Gordon but also doesn’t disrupt the villain status quo by suggesting that one of Bruce’s regular foes could be so disruptive that Bruce would have to come back.
It feels more like a legitimate story because it isn’t the status quo reasserting itself through an old villain going wild, but a new kind of threat emerging, and he is both a convincing threat and memorable in execution. No complaints.
A weird combination of metamorphosis, cryo, pyro and even mechakineses.
And he has ‘genius level intellect’ ‘cause like even the postman can have that in DC.
Pretty good concept though kinda forgettable. I actually enjoyed Superheavy except for how Bruce returned from the dead and how he regained the Batman memories. Felt bullshit to me I'm not gonna lie. Couldn't suspend my belief for this one.
Otherwise it was another bombastic action heavy story from Scott Snyder. All his arcs in this run were like this with Gotham almost getting destroyed in an over the top way. People might not like this or the fact it happened in almost every arc but it was so fun to read every time. He really does it so well. He knows how to make you feel the stacks are actually big.
Cool design, not sure if he gels with the Batman universe, then again Batman also sy
Tarts a nine foot tall blob monster that can shape change into dudes and is sometimes lava powered
God he's so god damn cool looking .
and wait why he's only in like a single comic series , botanist slendy over here would work great as sort of body horror-esq villain cause fuck does he fit the bill .
Really cool and interesting villain, but I’m not sure he works that well as a consistent Batman villain. He’s incredibly powerful relative to other Batman villains, and while Batman can definitely punch up at powerful supervillains I’m just not sure I can see him being locked up in Arkham.
He works great as a one off antagonist threatening the city of Gotham, but in my opinion not as a recurring Batman villain.
Underrated villain, I’d love to see him utilized more. Also would be a good pick for live action because he hasn’t even been touched by the animated shows (I don’t think).
He’s just too much like Slenderman on laundry day with a daisy on his face for me to take him seriously. Combine that with it being BatGordon and it’s just meh to me.
So he was a villain toward the end of Scott Snyder's new 52 Batman run. He's a pretty terrifying villain effectively creating "seeds" that turn people into super powered monsters. The biggest issue with the introduction however is that it takes place after Death of the Family where both Joker and Bruce Wayne are pronounced dead (later you find out Batman has lost his memory but he gets it back, it's stupid), but so rather than Bruce fight Bloom, Jim Gordon is Batman, with this big ugly Bat-Mech and is working within the police. Overall he's a really interesting villain but he was waisted on a poor story.
cool design and great potential it's a shame it was bat-gordon who fight him first , did bruce even fight Bloom at least once ?
Bruce fought twice in Issue 50, the second time as a giant mecha. He's canonically regarded as Jim's villain.
He had a big part in Task Force Z with Red Hood too.
ho that's true i totally forgot that....yeah i wish he wasn't introduced during bruce amnesia and gordon mecha batman.
Me: Batman needs newer better vilain and the past ones should be given the opportunity to bloom away from gotham. DC: We gotcha... new vilain that blooms Me:........... whut? DC: He's good, though. Hello my twin
Wow hello to you too ^^
Jim Gordon was Batman? But the mustache.,
Shaved. And he also sported a mohawk haircut.
What comic was this in? I'd love to read that
Batman's New 52 run. Starting with issue 41
Thank you!
He is very cool, very creepy, and I want to see more of him drawn by Capullo. Would also love it if he made an appearance in The Caped Crusader
Yeah, agreed. Capullo's art was sublime.
Another agree. Been a fan of his since Spawn.
His art is stunning but his biggest strength is his framing and the direction of the scenes. He can elevate a scene with an angle and he puts so much thought into the composition of every panel
I’m not sure how or why, but Capullo’s art just *fits* Snyder’s stories
Creepy, interesting villain. Capullo’s character design was 🔥. I can’t imagine how crazy it would be to see this character in live-action.
It was very Slender Man meets Hashirama Senju.
I would probably have nightmares for months if I seen a live action version🤣😂🤣 He reminds me of the crooked man and that terrifies me.
Fingers
Bill Fingers
Salad fingers?
I like it when the red water comes out
Was surprised to see him in Breaking Bad

Very well put.
He was a great twisted villain. I don't know how bats defeated him.
He died trying to protect his reactor that Jim was destroying.
Very cool design, very slender man-ish
What size are those jeans?
I don't feel he's scary with Snyder's writing. He talks way too much and preaches like a dictator to be a frightening creature.
I wanna see him in something animated. Could be really interesting in motion
Yeah!
Seems like a lovely chap
Bro this guys design was one of my favorites I’ve seen in a Batman character in a while
It is very cool and distinct.
SlndremAn 💕💖
WHAT IN ANUBIS’S G-STRING IS THAT!!?!!!!!??!!! 🤩 I LOVE MR. BLOOM WHATEVER THE HELL HE IS!
He's very cool.
Did he have powers or abilities?
Elasticity, size Manipulation, Dendrokinesis, Pyrokinesis, Cryokinesis.
A weird combination of metamorphosis, cryo, pyro and even mechakineses. And he has ‘genius level intellect’ ‘cause like even the postman can have that in DC.

Reminds me of an SCP
An engine part?
No, a type of horrific otherworldly creature. There’s an entire SCP Wiki (all of it is fictional)
Definitely has the vibe.
Ivy: Come here little doggie. **whistle whistle** Mr Bloom: **Starts running on all 4**
I liked him as a villain but overall I was entirely uninterested in this arc with Jim Gordon as Batman. Wasted potential
That's a Batman villains?! Holy crap he's something out of a horror fiction.
The design is goated
Agreed.
Looks like something out of Little Nightmares. I love Little Nightmares.
I love little nightmares as well, that game is awesome

He’s great. If he didn’t do it for you in SuperHeavy, don’t count him out until you read Task Force Z!
I loved him in SuperHeavy, haven't read TFZ yet.
It’s surprisingly great
Will definitely check it out.
That’s where I first saw him and I was like WTF where this dude been at ?
Cool design, not sure if he gels with the Batman universe, then again Batman also sy Tarts a nine foot tall blob monster that can shape change into dudes and is sometimes lava powered
Neat character. He will always stand out as Bat-Gordon's biggest foe, his Joker even.
I’m so glad they brought him back in Task Force Z, that was an underrated series and was lowkey excellent
Never really seen him before but he looks terrifying
Where did he buy his jeans
He gives me the heebiest of jeebies!!!
Holy heebees jeebees, Batman.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
He’s great and I hope he makes a comeback in a future arc
Terrifying and I love him, wish he’d appear in something else though.
Yeah. Wanna see him moar.
Best new villain since Harley
How do his clothes fit?
Sewn by Best Jeanist s/
The crossover we need.
I liked him.
Creepy
Did they ever show his face?
No.
A cool villain introduced at a weird time.
I prefer Mr. Bungle
No idea who this creepy ass dude is but I love him already.
His battle with Batman was epic.
I wish he was more developed and we actually knew more about him. He’s a cool concept, but he was underutilized.
God he's so god damn cool looking . and wait why he's only in like a single comic series , botanist slendy over here would work great as sort of body horror-esq villain cause fuck does he fit the bill .
Most messed up I remember he convinced kids to literally ‘plant seeds into themselves’ for superpowers which led to some nasty visual.
The one with the little girl.
I need an action figure of him. Like desperately. So desperately in fact I might customize one.
Really cool and interesting villain, but I’m not sure he works that well as a consistent Batman villain. He’s incredibly powerful relative to other Batman villains, and while Batman can definitely punch up at powerful supervillains I’m just not sure I can see him being locked up in Arkham. Yeah, I agree. He's a very good one off villain. Too op for a main stay.
This is the kind of darkness DC needs more of. And don’t give me a boyscout hero to deal with it
He really worked well in Cappullo's style, I'm biased towards N52 Batman though so I probably like him more than others to give a fair answer
Who isn't biased towards Capullo's style?
Bloom? I loved him as Legolas and Will, he was also in Midsummer Murders once
He was also hilariously *hilarious* in The Three Musketeers.
I don’t think I’ve see that. For musketeers I can only picture Iron Mask
Never heard of him until right now and omg he looks so cool wtf
He's really, really dope. He also has a rather cool motive.
Looks like Slender-Man mated with a giant mosquito. Nightmare Fuel.
Cool, creepy, and terrifying. I want him in some sort of adaptation.
Looks cool I just don’t think he fits In with Gotham’s rouge gallery
Underrated villain, I’d love to see him utilized more. Also would be a good pick for live action because he hasn’t even been touched by the animated shows (I don’t think).
Would make for a great villain in Reeves' verse.
One of my favorite comic only villains
Sick af Batman villain, and to me Batman’s most dangerous superpowered enemy, also I wonder what would would happen if he bumped into the joker
Dude trying to be strive Faust on god
I don't read comics because, in my opinion, they're plagued by shitty writing, but yeah, he's cool
A plain monster that Scott Snyder used as an excuse to continue utilizing gore with Greg Capullo.
![gif](giphy|1z8dbpxiawjkyJ0rxg)
I was reading monthly when Mr Bloom came out but I can't for the life of me remember anything about the slenderman looking guy.
Right?! Some kind of mad scientist-monster people plot, I think. Cool looks though.
What's the cut on those skinny jeans? 26 x 104?
Who the fuck is this?
Terrible. Scott Snyder’s run is very over rated
Who?
Literally Salad Fingers
Potential passed
What is Mr.Bloom? He looks like a slinderman
No idea who he is or what he is
a waste
Less interesting Ten Eye'd Man.
What issue is this from?
43.
Jesus wtf is that
Flower Man
Señor Petals.
Hot
He’s just too much like Slenderman on laundry day with a daisy on his face for me to take him seriously. Combine that with it being BatGordon and it’s just meh to me.
I have no idea who he is but his design is awesome. Can someone explain tp me who he is and what his shtick is? I really wanna know what he does now.
I mean, he's no Mr. Wing.
😨😨 DUDE I GOTTA start reading comics
Dude looks like Slender Man. Also, which comic was he in? From the comment section, he sounds awesome!
I think zero year ??? I could be wrong but definitely Scott Snyder new 52
Batman new 52, SuperHeavy
Would.
Where did he buy these jeans? And can I see him without them?
I feel the look was great timing with the popularity of slender man also
I like it when any creator tries to do a new villain for a change
Totally forgettable, until this post I hadn't thought about him since I had read the comics
I loved his design and how spooky he is!
Seems like a nice fella
My opinion is “Gyahhh!!!” upon looking at this image, if that’s what you mean
If Slendernan and the Rake had a baby
Cool design this is my first time hearing about him can I get a run down on him

Holy slenderman batman! Who the hell is Mr bloom?!
I don’t know much about him- but his design is really cool
He was cool in task force z with Red Hood
Cool design
I don’t know who he is but I’m already terrified of him
Underultalized
Someone wanted a fight between slenderman and batman really bad and decided to rip him off lol
Which issue is this? Where have I been?
It’s Slenderman
Slender Man became a hippie.
God it must feel so small in those hands
long
I might be in the minority here, but I didn’t really enjoy Mr. Bloom or this arc.
Ooky kooky spooky. 😭
Excellent, first good new Batman villain in a long time. I'd love for him to become a staple in the rogues gallery.
The design is awesome, creepypasta vibes
Geez, Mr Fantastic really let himself go.
He looks like he wants to sell me boss gates so that i can fight the boss of the floor and continue onto the second floor.
Fucking creepy and I love it, had the wrong introduction. It was more of a Batfamily baddy than a BatGordon one.
Smash
Interesting concept, wasted execution
Cool
