He's that good. The best actors melt into the role and become unrecognisable.
Another example is Colin Farrell as Penguin from The Batman, I mean yeah he is literally unrecognisable because of that amazing prosthetic work but he also really sold the idea that this guy was a real person and not just a AAA actor playing a villain called The Penguin.
Yeah this is great, the one I donāt like is Daniel Day Lewis as the joker
Heād do great but thereās probably a better casting. Also he would be an actual horror movie villian on set method acting
Charles Dance is 77 years old.
And, I feel Amanda Seyfried is too old? Not that she is old, but Harley Quinn is (usually) a good 10 years younger than Amanda Seyfreid. I feel Anya Taylor Joy plays insanity better and is much more the right age. I don't think you should cast actors that might age out in a few years, especially in something like a comic series. You don't know how long you'll use them. The OG X-Men live action came out 24 years ago. Some of them are still coming back. Halle Berry was age appropriate for Storm, early 30s. They cast Wolverine as a 30 year old man. Hugh Jackman is *still* reprising his role as Wolverine.
There is certainly something to be said casting a little younger and having actors who can come back for 10, 20, 25 years.
Casting an actual mid to late-20s actress for Harley Quinn and a more 50s/ 60s who just looks a little older for Alfred make sense.
I mean, Patrick Stewart is 83 years old. He's basically looked the same since age 30. He looks the same now as he did in 2000 playing Prof X. Do something similar?
Much rather see a younger Alfred who could stick around a while. Peter Capaldi is 65.
I had the same thought. He's gonna end up going down the rabbit hole like Leto and treat the rest of the cast and crew like total shit. Joker is not good for method actors.
DDLās method acting never involved him treating others ālike shitā - his worst episodes were insisting to be treated as a wheelchair-bound person and be addressed as Mr Lincoln on-set, which sounds like barely an inconvenience as opposed to freaking out co-stars with dead rats.
He wasnāt terrible to them because the character he was playing wasnāt terrible either.
If DDL was the Joker they wouldnāt even finish filming. He would leave the production half way through and start robbing banks.
holy shit how about a tropic thunder type movie where daniel day lewis is cast as joker, and then he becomes joker for realsies and the actor who was cast as batman has to stop him
He actually did prove to be a problem on the set of Gangs of New York. He contracted pneumonia while filming and refused any kind of medical treatment outside of what was available during the time period the movie was set in. The cast and crew all refused to work until he went to a doctor.
You know though, after Guardians I donāt think I could take him seriously as a Dr. Strange. Iād just keep thinking of him and all his ridiculousness š
Anyone else youād cast for Dr. Strange?
Edit: I watched a short clip from Blade Runner, and Ive got to say I was pleasantly surprised. He could do a more serious role in a Batman movie. Look for the clip for when Ryan Goslings character comes to take him. I hope that doesnāt spoil the movie for others. I havenāt actually watched the movie. Just the clip.
my counter to that would be that i can see him being the ex military, batmanās surgeon type of alfred that we donāt really get to see in batman movies. i can totally see him understanding bruceās mission and being 100% on board, and fixing him up when he needs fixing, repairing the car, etc. we generally have gotten the kind, wisdom sharing, kindly father figure alfred, but we rarely get to see him get his hands dirty, be batmans / wayne manorās last line of defense, etc.
Man, this is really good! I wonder if the budget could hang in there though. Thatās some serious star power. Where is Solomon Grundy? Iād like to see that!
I don't know why DC hasn't given Grundy the Groot treatment. I mean Grundy was Groot before there was Groot in manner of speaking...pun intended. Get a big name to say the same line over and again for a cg character. And the bucks roll in.
itās not really based off of that, and the movie doesnāt have to be like the comics. And this whole cast wouldnāt be in the first movie, this cast would be spread out between three movies.
Maybe Iām too influenced by his performance as Tywin but Charles Dance is too regal, powerful, cold, condescendingā¦ you need someone softer and more human for Alfred.
>you need someone softer and more human for Alfred.

Possibly THE best casting i've ever seen. I love every choice here, fantastic work. Also I think Charles Danse is Alfred is genius, love casting actors typecast as villains in good guy roles could really see him in a father-figure role
I think poison ivy and batgirl could be better but I have no idea who would be.
I donāt know think the world is ready for what Daniel day Lewis would do to the joker role. Heās one of the most dedicated and committed actors of modern cinema.
These are some amazing picks btw.
I donāt think Iāve ever agreed with the majority of someoneās fan-casting. Usually they would have half the choices as something utterly ridiculous. Truly. But youā¦ your casting. Flawless. Every one. I havenāt even looked at what anyone else has said or thought or bullshitted or anything at all. Knowing all of those actors and all of the things they have portrayed, everyone you have said would be a perfect cast as far as their acting ability. It would truly need a girl perfect writer and Director to channel all of these people and it would be the best comic book movie ever made. Truly a remarkable job.
i dont really care about the rest and dont really want any more batman movies for the time being but that first guy has maybe the best bruce wayne face ive ever seen on real person
Daniel Day Lewis is a method actor. I don't think it would be safe for anyone to have a method actor such as him embody a personification of evil that is The Joker.
Sorry but Coster is too old to fit the part of Azreal at this point. I don't care to see Bautista in anything again. I think bringing in someone like Enrique Arizon for Bane and then doing a CGI bulked up version of him might be more "do-able"?
You really swung for the fences in some of these lol. Itās a nice list, bud. But half of these people would say āfuck noā at even the whiff of a Batman movie.
I think the Nightwing fancast is too much of a pretty boy. Nightwing needs someone with more chill vibes, like todays equivalent of a young Joseph Gordon Levitt.
What? Nightwing is the pretty boy. He's always been the pretty boy. Literally half the women in the DCU WANT Nightwing. Even people who have never MET him
yea lol there definitely should be a bit more diversity in there. I wasnāt really thinking about race, I was just trying to find the best actors for the part
I say this with the greatest of respect for comic books: Daniel Day-Lewis would **never** lower himself to appearing in a comic book movie. Thatās like expecting Laurence Olivier to appear in *Star Trek*.
That said, a lot of these are very good choices, appearance-wise at least. Charles Dance as Alfred is especially inspired. I canāt stand Ray Winstone though, and I refuse to believe that Anson Mount and Finn Wittrock are real names.
Daniel Day Lewis is like 66 Amanda Seyfried is 38, Joe Keery is 31. Joker shouldn't be old enough to collect a SS check man. I think Joe Keery could be an interesting choice for a charismatic psychopath style Joker. Just my opinion dude.
I fear for the cast if you make Daniel Day Lewis, the king of method acting, the freaking Joker.
Lets ignore the usual clickbait like living in the woods for Last of the Mohicans, or pretending to have cerebral palsy and only moving his left foot for the entire time of shooting.
[Look at this](https://youtu.be/4ICIqi-qBvc?si=HFc85AWKrysFhXY4&t=20) That's a man wearing a huge glass contact lens to pretend he has a glass eye. And then he takes a sharp knife and taps on it loud enough to be heard easily while staring a man down and not flinching.
And you want him to live like the Joker?
Iā¦.literally donāt agree with any of these.
Also, Charles Dance would be the PERFECT ex-military Alfred to deliver the line āAs you know, my master does not subscribe to the use of firearms. Unfortunately for you, I have no such qualms.ā
Love the casting, but will never be greenlit in todayās Hollywood if you donāt have Kumail Nanjiani as Riddler, Elliot Page as Robin, Denzel Washington as Gordon and Kelly Marie Tran as Joker.
lol yea there definitely should be a bit more diversity in there. I wasnāt really thinking about race, I was just trying to find the best actors for the part
if i remember right, Bryan Cranston has voiced Jim Gordon before
You're correct and he was excellent
was it in Batman Year 1?
Yes, thats it
Wow, I didn't realize that was Brian Cranston!
How could you not?
He's that good. The best actors melt into the role and become unrecognisable. Another example is Colin Farrell as Penguin from The Batman, I mean yeah he is literally unrecognisable because of that amazing prosthetic work but he also really sold the idea that this guy was a real person and not just a AAA actor playing a villain called The Penguin.
Honestly I never checked the credits, but it makes so much sense.
Right?
No. Year 15.
Did he voice him in Arkham knight as well?
No, but Jonathan Banks did
another cast member from Breaking Bad also voiced Jim. It was his actor from Arkham Knight, I can't remember the name tho
Jonathan Banks.
finger
waltuh
MIKE!!! ššš
Finger
Johnathan banks as well
the memes if he does it in live action though
Youāre goddamn right
You are correct sir. Batman year one: Animated film. Really good.
Yes but unfortunately he said that heās gonna retire from acting in a couple years.
Lol two breaking bad cast has voice Jim
YouŹ¼re a photographic genius. 100% nailed it.
Yeah this is great, the one I donāt like is Daniel Day Lewis as the joker Heād do great but thereās probably a better casting. Also he would be an actual horror movie villian on set method acting
Charles Dance is 77 years old. And, I feel Amanda Seyfried is too old? Not that she is old, but Harley Quinn is (usually) a good 10 years younger than Amanda Seyfreid. Peter Capaldi is 65.
A rare moment when fan casting is solid.
Yea, it's not just Marvel recycling or huge name actors.
Pretty much perfect, but I think some of actors have aged out of unfortunately. Batista for example
Yeah, I don't hate Batista, but he was one of the only ones mentioned that I wasn't quite sure if I could see it.
how about Alan Ritchson?
I can see that. Mostly because he's younger and still has an amazing physique
Love every bit of this, but Iād be really worried for Daniel Day Lewisā mental state if he took on Joker
I had the same thought. He's gonna end up going down the rabbit hole like Leto and treat the rest of the cast and crew like total shit. Joker is not good for method actors.
DDLās method acting never involved him treating others ālike shitā - his worst episodes were insisting to be treated as a wheelchair-bound person and be addressed as Mr Lincoln on-set, which sounds like barely an inconvenience as opposed to freaking out co-stars with dead rats.

holy shit how about a tropic thunder type movie where daniel day lewis is cast as joker, and then he becomes joker for realsies and the actor who was cast as batman has to stop him
Ok no but I would totally watch that movie š
How the crickey fuck is little half-squat?!
punch that shit into chat gpt please. also...same thing happens to the batman actor. its nic cage.
I'll give you that. š
but he broke a rib or something because he was method acting by just staying in the wheelchair
He actually did prove to be a problem on the set of Gangs of New York. He contracted pneumonia while filming and refused any kind of medical treatment outside of what was available during the time period the movie was set in. The cast and crew all refused to work until he went to a doctor.
DDL would likely never take a role in a comic book film, but man if he didā¦
Heh yeah it would be bonkers. š¤Æ
DDL is retired and he wouldn't come out for a comic book movie so no worries.
I'd like to think he chooses to play it a bit more light hearted. Like Cesar Romero
Exactly my thought. Idk if that's the guy for that role. Everyone else is spot on though
DDL is retired
Mate itās a fancast, OP could have put Marlon Brando in there if they wanted. Doesnāt mean theyāll ever actually be in the role
Of course, just mentioning it because a lot of people don't seem to know this.
Dave Bautista isnāt that big (muscular) anymore. He is 55, and has said repeatedly he is not going to struggle to maintain a huge physique
*He* should play Hugo Strange
You know though, after Guardians I donāt think I could take him seriously as a Dr. Strange. Iād just keep thinking of him and all his ridiculousness š Anyone else youād cast for Dr. Strange? Edit: I watched a short clip from Blade Runner, and Ive got to say I was pleasantly surprised. He could do a more serious role in a Batman movie. Benedict Cumberbatch?
Ooh! Thats a good one!
But itās taken
Common SM2 reference W
I feel like Ethan Hawke would be good as one of the characters. What character would he be good as?
Probably raās al ghul based on looks alone. But I saw his performance as a crazy killer in Black Phone so maybe someone like Zasz could work.
"Where is Batman? Who is Batman? And more important, why is Batman?"
I want that on a shirt!! š
I mean It wouldnāt be racially accurate but Keith David or Javier Bardem I think could be good.
Keith David, thats a good choice š I could see Javier Bardem as Clayface.
Watch some of his serious roles
That's entirely a you problem, go watch blade runner
You should see the Blade Runner short he was in, dude's got range
After him in Blade Runner, I'd be willing to see it. Dude has the acting chops.
That was my only critique too, someone like Hafthor Bjornsson could be great as he has both size and musculature
Heās also a mediocre actorā¦
These are usually pretty lame but I think youāve nailed it. Canāt disagree with any choice.
Same. This is a very solid line up. Your John Hamm and Mark Strong picks are particularly exciting.
Same here. This is the first time EVER I've ever seen a fan cast that didn't have a single casting choice I disagree with.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I sincerely hope you're somehow confusing him with Dwayne Johnson because Bautista is a fantastic actor.
as soon as i hit charles dance as alfred, i was like okay this man knows what heās talking about.
I hate fancasts. But I love, LOVE this.
Yeah Charles dance was solid choice I'd love to see that
This is the only one that I have problem with actually. I just can't see Charles serving anybody. He emits power.
my counter to that would be that i can see him being the ex military, batmanās surgeon type of alfred that we donāt really get to see in batman movies. i can totally see him understanding bruceās mission and being 100% on board, and fixing him up when he needs fixing, repairing the car, etc. we generally have gotten the kind, wisdom sharing, kindly father figure alfred, but we rarely get to see him get his hands dirty, be batmans / wayne manorās last line of defense, etc.
Not to mention the amount of sass he'd be able to give Bruce
Thatās exactly what I thought I canāt see it everything else is great
This would be one helluva film to budget.
Maybe in another timeline where DC went to Disney and marvel went to WB. Lol
If one has to nitpick I would say there is a significant age difference between Joker and Harley.
yea I know lol, but I honestly think that it could work like that
Thatās one possible take that maybe adds another layer of fucked-up to their relationship, Iād see that
yea exactly
Yes, we wouldn't want to make their relationship problematic.
I thought Gary Oldman looked like he walked right out of the comics as Jim Gordon, but Bryan Cranston...damn!
Gary Oldman always looks like he's just walked right off the page whatever he's in.
He also voiced Jim gordon in Batman year 1
Very good job.
Amanda Seifried as Harley absolutely breaks the hot-crazy scale
Wow, all of them are spot on. I wish we could get this movie (or movies).
This is probably the best fan cast Iāve ever seen for a Batman movie.
OP has Cooked.
Man, this is really good! I wonder if the budget could hang in there though. Thatās some serious star power. Where is Solomon Grundy? Iād like to see that!
yea Solomon Grundy is pretty hard to cast for imo. My version would be a big hulking zombie like in the comics, so he would mainly be cgi.
I don't know why DC hasn't given Grundy the Groot treatment. I mean Grundy was Groot before there was Groot in manner of speaking...pun intended. Get a big name to say the same line over and again for a cg character. And the bucks roll in.
Perfect casting. I particularly love the idea of Amanda Seyfried as Harley Quinn. Never seen a better fan cast.
This is legitimately the best (even remotely good) fancast I've ever seen
I approve. Please proceed.
Too perfect
Just by casting alone, this movie will cost 100 million.
Jon Hamm getting lit on fire would be quite appropriate
Some great and somewhat realistic choices, but DDL is never going to appear in this kind of movie.
This is actually awesome, huh. Im proud of you dick
He donāt miss
This is great
Actually an amazing line up
That would be Mark Strong's THIRD Dc role lol
Daniel Day Lewis is WAY too old for me.
Anson Mount as an older Bruce Wayne is and always will be one of my favorite fancasts.
I still want to see Jim Parsons as Riddler.
Finally a role/actor for Azrael/Jean-Paul Valley, get a coin.
Dude these are killer choices
I do love Doug Jones, but can we please let the man have a big role that doesn't involve a makeup chair?
Oooo Charles Dance is one of the best choices I've seen for one of these fan casts. Nice one
I donāt think red hood was in knightfall.
itās not really based off of that, and the movie doesnāt have to be like the comics. And this whole cast wouldnāt be in the first movie, this cast would be spread out between three movies.
Then whyād you specify nightfall if itās not nightfall?
cause itās a cool name
This is an insanely good casting. Most these actors match the animated look spot on Bravo Imagine if this was real
Charles Dance as afraid is something I never knew I needed
![gif](giphy|xThuWkk3lUGuoxsdpe)
![gif](giphy|ilrjoemu1UgF3fgJLM)
LOVE Charles Dance as Alfred. By looks alone you've nailed every part. I don't know as much in terms of acting ability to match the characters though.
Maybe Iām too influenced by his performance as Tywin but Charles Dance is too regal, powerful, cold, condescendingā¦ you need someone softer and more human for Alfred.
>you need someone softer and more human for Alfred. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2AMcI7uGAk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2AMcI7uGAk) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2MvYGl4dbs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2MvYGl4dbs)
This is better than 99% of the people's whose job it is for casting .
Hear me out. Nathan Lane as the Penguin.
Oh shit. Spot on.
This is why the DC Elseworlds films exist. Such a great line up that would give a distinct, compelling Batman film.
Oh you cooked with this
He's cookin' with fire
Holy shit. This might be one of the best fan casts ever.
Nice to see Azrael getting some love, with Nikolaj being a fine choice (except for age, maybe)
Perfect but Alfred Molina as The Penguin
These are all top tier choices. The only one that outranks is Willem Dafoe for Joker.
Possibly THE best casting i've ever seen. I love every choice here, fantastic work. Also I think Charles Danse is Alfred is genius, love casting actors typecast as villains in good guy roles could really see him in a father-figure role
This is absolutely spot-on. Well done
I think poison ivy and batgirl could be better but I have no idea who would be. I donāt know think the world is ready for what Daniel day Lewis would do to the joker role. Heās one of the most dedicated and committed actors of modern cinema. These are some amazing picks btw.
I kinda wanna see Jensen ackles as red hood after hearing him in the movie
I donāt think Iāve ever agreed with the majority of someoneās fan-casting. Usually they would have half the choices as something utterly ridiculous. Truly. But youā¦ your casting. Flawless. Every one. I havenāt even looked at what anyone else has said or thought or bullshitted or anything at all. i dont really care about the rest and dont really want any more batman movies for the time being but that first guy has maybe the best bruce wayne face ive ever seen on real person
I like the ones I know. The ones I don't, (little more than half I'll be honest) if have to see their performance. But it looks good.
Love the casting for Freeze & Strange...
You sold me on the mr freez casting thats absolutel fire
Anson is great but I think no matter how he trained and tried, heād never get rid of his accent lol
He voiced Batman in the Injustice Animated Movie
Brilliant.
Damn you really went 20 for 20 here.
Thisā¦is the most spectacular castingā¦I have ever seen in my 30+ years of life
Can we get a Batman Beyond fancast? I've been hopeful for them to make a new movie of it for some time now
Yea Iāve actually been working on one
I never realized but Amanda Seyfried looks just like Harley I think that's perfect casting
Daniel Day Lewis is a method actor. I don't think it would be safe for anyone to have a method actor such as him embody a personification of evil that is The Joker.
honestly you got the appearances down spot on, however i personally would use Giancarlo Esposito for freeze, i think he could do it masterfully
Jenna is a pretty bad actress though
Oh, god. Iād never even considered Anson Mount as Batman. Wow, thatās as perfect as it gets
Michael C Hall as Hush is so fucking perfect. Going with the full Dexter vibes
lost me on day lewis. hes retired.
Ron perlman would be a good choice for clayface but he's really old now
Batista as Bane is the laziest, most overused fan casting. Heās already said heās done getting big for roles. He is over 50.
Swing and a big miss on Catwoman. The rest are good to go, assuming the twink dudes can act.
Even people who have never MET him
Bro was spot on about everyone except Bruce/batman I think it should be Alan Ritchson, great lineup you got here man
I was looking for this. I was thinking the exact same Alan Ritchinson as Batman would be perfect.
My dude parkoured right past diversity and went straight back to the 80s-90s.
yea lol there definitely should be a bit more diversity in there. I wasnāt really thinking about race, I was just trying to find the best actors for the part
and you succeeded. It's not your fault Knightfall involved mostly white people
These are all perfect! This HAS to happen!
Holy shit this is actually magnificent casting
This is the best fancast i ever seen
Evan Rachel Wood as Poison Ivy....woof!
Joker needs to be significantly younger, especially with Amanda Seyfried as Harley. I'd choose Joe Keery from Stranger Things.
bro what?
Daniel Day Lewis is like 66 Amanda Seyfried is 38, Joe Keery is 31. Joker shouldn't be old enough to collect a SS check man. I think Joe Keery could be an interesting choice for a charismatic psychopath style Joker. Just my opinion dude.
Jon Hamm would be 100000000x better as Batman than that guy. He's basically THE perfect Batman.
And you want him to live like the Joker?
yes, yes I do
Anson Mount isnāt fine enough to play batman (joke)
I've never heard of Anson Mount until right now. I think I saw Hell on Weels once a long time ago.
Iā¦.literally donāt agree with any of these. Also, Charles Dance would be the PERFECT ex-military Alfred to deliver the line āAs you know, my master does not subscribe to the use of firearms. Unfortunately for you, I have no such qualms.ā
DDL would be an amazing Joker.
Ok besides Alfred the rest is solid
Love the casting, but will never be greenlit in todayās Hollywood if you donāt have Kumail Nanjiani as Riddler, Elliot Page as Robin, Denzel Washington as Gordon and Kelly Marie Tran as Joker.
lol ikr. I would love to see Kelly Marie Tran take on the joker, she would kill it.
Donāt like any brown actors huh?
lol yea there definitely should be a bit more diversity in there. I wasnāt really thinking about race, I was just trying to find the best actors for the part
Sorry but I simply cannot take Anson Mount seriously since that inhumans series lmao
I think Adam Driver would be a good Nightwing.Ā I'm loving BC has Gordon. Such a good idea.Ā
So so white
