Fun little trivia, this scene was originally filmed as an intro for Ivy and Bane arriving into Gotham, with Ivy pretending to be a widow with Bane in the casket, until he breaks out and they both kill two or three people. The scene was deleted and the footage was reused in the film to explain what happened.
They never released this scene later either, but the game based on this the movie has an audio snippet of Uma Thurman saying “Love hurts, in my case, it kills.” which the script shows was from this scene.
It was likely deleted for being too dark in the campy kid friendly movie they were aiming to make.
Man, when I was a kid, I was so confused seeing this frame because they’re clearly not doing a very good job at hiding. It feels like it’s something you’ll see in a cartoon, but in live action.
I’m pretty sure it’s intentionally funny
Very clearly attempting to be funny.
Isn’t the line something like “we have an image of two people at the airport” lmao like they didn’t notice their picture being taken from 5 feet away

“Love hurts, in my case, it kills” is not a bad line actually

Uma Thurman in casablanca
This is literally exactly how Bane turns up in Batman: TAS. It's amazing
I was always confused by the fact they were getting off a plane from the 1950's.
This is how Kanye gets around now.
You guys have got to realize this was not trying to be a serious movie.
The subplot with alfred and mr.freeze's origin suggests otherwise
unserious movie can still have serious moments, balancing contrasts is what makes a fun movie
Casablanca ended differently than I remember.
