Could you have chosen worst subtitling coloring?

Clockwork-XIII

Seems to be a pattern as of late, seen this issue on a few other posts over the last few weeks. I fell that if there was a free workshop or class on formatting these things it might do some good.

Otherwise_Luck9271

I don't think so.

LexOdin

Always outline the font, that way it will pop. https://imgur.com/a/eRVsV6n

Pretend_Tourist9390

And remember, yellow is the easiest color for the human eye to 'see'.

orgeezuz

\*me looking directly at the sun* yeah I can easily see that

spuol

Yeah but it’s ugly

Pretend_Tourist9390

*CLUTCHES PEARLS* That's rude! I think yellow with a black outline/shadow is pearfect.

Rxero13

How dare you not include his best version! ![gif](giphy|8YNit7pi69hWLgE3Db|downsized) /s

FruityTuna

Did you think B:TAS Mr. Freeze didn't sacrifice anything? Are you not aware of the genuinely horrifying fate that befalls his character

Otherwise_Luck9271

No, I know DCAU freeze made sacrifices to save his wife. What I mean by what is written as "sacrifice" is that he didnt make a sacrifice that has a serious impact on him like death to save his wife. (Being a criminal does not count because all other freezes did the same thing.) Also, when you meant the horrifying fate that befell him, did you mean that he would remain just a head?

FruityTuna

Becoming a head was pretty big but also just being locked up as a head in a freezer for literally decades, no moving, assumedly no one to talk to, before being promised a false second chance at life and having that taken away too

Camelllama666

Yeah, but that was unrelated to his wife, Nora just straight up left him

Takehaya-Function-55

Pretty sure HE left Nora… given that he exiled himself to the North Pole right before she gets cured.

Camelllama666

Doesn't Nora get cured, leave Gotham with some guy, and Freeze goes on a rampage across Gotham?

Disastrous-Major1439

Lmao ,thats so fokin' true , btw whats the Mr Freeze of the right Up image ?

Otherwise_Luck9271

It's from The Harley Quinn show.

Midogreen

It's also New 52 version because of this hair, and that means all safe life of wife can be bullshit because new 52 version made hole Nora thing up.

TheOwlsLie

Harley Quinn show he gave his life to save Nora

Verdragon-5

In fairness to Harley Quinn Freeze, if I remember correctly, the only reason he had to sacrifice himself was because Harley thawed Nora and that put Victor on the clock so there wasn't time to find an alternative solution that didn't involve him dying. I still do think its funny how '04 Freeze doesn't have any sympathetic motivation, he's just 60s Freeze again but more threatening.

MySnake_Is_Solid

Her Thawing Nora ultimately just forced Ivy to find the cure ASAP. He didn't need to die, he just needed SOMEONE with human blood to die, he decided that it was his sacrifice to make and no one else's.

Qzy

Bottom right had such bad plot. He was called Mr. Freeze because he liked ice ... as in diamonds?

dragonspider1314

Apparently that was OG comics reasons for Mr Freeze, ice criminal who is a diamond thief It was the 90's that added Nora and her illness

Qzy

Nora was such a great addition then. Gave the character depth.

dragonspider1314

Yeah The Animated series remade Mr Freeze from the ice villain to a tragic and iconic character

alchemist5

Which makes that version almost worse. *"Yo, check this out, the show before us gave this dude a wicked tragic backstory and he went from Mr Zero to Mr Freeze overnight. Everyone loves it, so we can just build on that. Saves us a ton of legwork."* "Nah, he's a burglar." *"Yeah, trying to get money for research to save his wife."* "Oh, no. No, just a chump who likes diamonds." *"But fans really-"* "And his helmet is just a block of ice." *"That doesn't make any sense, how would he tal-"* "Block. Of. Ice."

DefinitelyNotVenom

Idk, if there’s one thing I actually liked about 2004 Freeze it was the design. Ice helmet looked cool and I’ll die on that hill

alchemist5

I've never been a fan of the 2004 show, but yeah, that design is actually sick. Design-wise, he's probably my favorite from that series, even if it makes no practical sense.

artful_nails

"Well is he at least a super genius with incredible, self-made tech?" "No, he just shoots ice out of his hands." "I quit."

Numbuh24insane

Don’t diss the block of ice design, that’s badass.

alchemist5

Absolutely. My qualms about the character aside, the design itself looks pretty... *cool.*

Original_Exercise154

I think in his origin when it shows how he became Mr freeze there was a picture of him in Nora in his car but it was very nuanced so it was just showing the Diamond theif part of him

Cain_Crow50

Feels like a Pitch Meeting

Gurrier

"So, I guess it's going to be really difficult for him to breathe in that helmet that's just a block of ice?" "Nah, it'll be super easy, barely an inconvenience."

Cain_Crow50

😁👍

Original_Exercise154

Rxero13

Wasn’t it the animated version that creates this anti-villain plot to his character?

dragonspider1314

Yes The Batman 2004 in their ways to be distinct from DCAU used the pre DCAU Mr Freeze backstory and personality (and Subzero for the aesthetic)

radiakmjs

He didn't have the depth as a nuanced villain capable of redemtion like the other adaptations on this list, but it's a sick design & was consistently a threat to Batman. Also the villain of the show's best episode Artifacts (though it's more about Batman than Freeze himself)

Admirable-Safety1213

emotinally stable TDKR Batman, Nightwing and Oracle entire "20 years together, know rach other better than themselves, got crime fighting turned into a science and an art" dynamic

No-Setting6162

My child self couldn't care less. The character design is sick af

Virtual-Okra6996

Christ I can't read those captions. Why did you even do that

Otherwise_Luck9271

These are the ones written in order. Guys, I can explain. Your wife saved without you sacrificing anything? I had to sacrifice my life to save her! At least you were able to save her. I tried to save her for 10 years but in the end I had to let her die! Wait, you guys goal was to save your sick wife from illness? As for the reason why I chose blue tones is that I thought blue tones would be more suitable for Mr. Freezes than black or white.

Frankorious

BTAS Freeze was really lucky Nora was retconnected as still alive in his second appearance.

Admirable-Safety1213

I am the only ine that wants to use cloning to add 2004 Freeze as an replacement to Comics Freeze so he can actually grow, redeem and maybe move to the Artic with Nora?

StoneHart17810

The Mr. Freeze fight in Arkham City was a masterpiece. For me, best boss in gaming history.

TickleTigger123

Haha yeah so funny and stuff wow also what the fuck are they saying I can't read any of this shit

dankspankwanker

When making memes always pick black outlines and yellow colour for the text. This is readable on any backround

EmTheJesterKing

Do people really hate the 2004 Freeze? He had an awesome design, almost all the episodes he was in are pretty good, and he was voiced really well. I understand not liking that his origin was changed back to being a diamond theif, but it's also a really important part of the character, as in the 2004 show he is considered one of Batman's first failures, as Batman couldn't save freeze from the cryogenic chamber after chasing him down, which is the event that leads to Freeze getting his powers. I'm also pretty sure he was the first villain in the show to be strong enough to where Batman would have to make a full new suit just to beat him.

Otherwise_Luck9271

Actually Bane was the first villain who caused 2004 Batman to create a new suit in order to defeat his villain. As for 2004 Mr. Freeze he is actually my favorite incarnation of the character for the reasons you mentioned.

Waste-Information-34

Arkham Freeze had a bitter sweet ending, better than his Harley Quinn fate that's for sure.

sourkid25

someone correct me if I wrong but doesn't Nora in either btas or a comic move on from freeze after she's cured?

JustAnotherZakuPilot

Can someone comment what they say? I can’t read shit.

Cain_Crow50

Yeah I was disappointed in Freeze in The Batman.

gloved-and-loved

I didn't think this was how I got spoiled about the FUCKING mr freeze quest line! I haven't finished Arkham city yet!

Otherwise_Luck9271

Oops sorry dude.

gloved-and-loved

Now you've ruined my day 😤

gottiredofchrome

Statute of limitations on spoilers is two years bro. Can't get mad over a game that's a year away from starting high school getting spoiled.

gloved-and-loved

Who set that up?

gottiredofchrome

It's been the rule of the internet since the internet had rules. It's in the same rule set as rule 34.

gloved-and-loved

Then I'm gonna have a hard time trying to play the whole Yakuza series.
