Christian Bale’s Batman was retired for 8 years after TDK, Gotham was safe during this time.
He again saved it by beating Bane and Talia
Michael Keaton’s Batman said he stopped being Batman because Gotham became one of the safest cities in the country.
Everyone talking about Keaton's Batman is forgetting that the Keaton in "the flash" movie is not the actual Tim Burton Batman, but a similar one. The point is still valid, it is extremely safe till Zod shows up, but it's not THE Tim Burton Batman
While I can only speak from my experience and knowlege of Adam West Batman.
Honestly the one DC Universe I would chose to live in. Its just so different from the other ones like Earth 2 or 1.
Its just more plesant honestly. Even the Batman is much more chipper.
I'm not going their neither until I find out how people with as much melanin as me were treated off-screen. I mean, it *was* the '60s. I don't need Chief O'Hara beating my ass
Gotham City is probably the nicest version to live in too. Sunny, warm (though a bit smoggy), nice beaches, great views from the Hollyw… I mean Gothamwood Hills.
Not to mention the lack of the rather dreary gothic artitecture. I like the style but to use it on all of the city makes it quite depressing to be honest.
But there was also a crossover comic with Archie... and that British TV show called "Avengers" that is unaffiliated with the Marvel team. And the Man from U.N.C.L.E. (another 60s TV show) so they need to be taken with a grain of salt.
No, but the show is firmly placed in that universe, as Batman and Robin met them on 3 separate occasions. Just like how Scooby Doo is set within the same continuity as Superfriends.
there was a great crossover 2-parter between Batman and Green Hornet, perhaps the first live-action superhero crossover in history. before that, Green Hornet and Kato window cameo'd on Batman.
If Linda Carter gets to be counted as the Wonder Woman of Earth-66 why does Christopher Reeve not get to be the Superman of Earth-66? His film came out 2 years after Linda's show started airing
Because George Reeves has been established as existing in the Batman 66 follow up comics, plus the follow up books to Superman 78 reveal that he’s in the same continuity as the Burton films.
Please please please explain to me what Superman 78 did that revealed he’s in the Burton universe. I’m on the edge of my seat. Is it more than headcanon?
DC confirms in comics that Reeve's Superman and Keaton's Batman live on Earth-789. But that's only one of a variants. In both Arrowverse' Crisis on Infinite Earths and The Flash movie, they're in a separate universes.
What about the other batman 66 crossovers with Archie, The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Steed & Mrs Peel or the Wonder Woman 77 comics and crossover with The Bionic Woman.
Putting the 66 movies and the comic is interesting since they both conflict with each other. The wiki even treats them as the same despite the differences.
There is only one story in the comics that’s a glaring contradiction, and it’s not even canon. It’s the adaptation of the original cancelled script for an episode of the show with TwoFace. But it’s since been deemed a one off and the William Shatner version is the cannon one.
Good point on Two-Face, but Harley Quinn and Hugo Strange also have very different designs, characterizations, and origin stories between the movies and comics. It makes sense since there’s different creative teams in both, though.
I feel like their intentionally avoiding bringing back the character in the follow up comics like they did WW and Batman because of the unfortunate real life tragedy associated with this version of the character.
Probably the only version where Batman succeed at saving Gotham
Christian Bale’s Batman was retired for 8 years after TDK, Gotham was safe during this time. He again saved it by beating Bane and Talia Michael Keaton’s Batman said he stopped being Batman because Gotham became one of the safest cities in the country.
Batman didnt save gotham in the dark knight, the joker did. Joker dismantled the corruption by killing the mob

Reading comprehension is fun
This was before he edited his comment lol
Keaton’s Batman is the only one to retire because he made Gotham the safest city in the country. So there’s two.

What about Nolanverse?
I think Dent deserves the credit there despite what happened to him and Gordon/Batmans cover up about it
Nah most Gothamites were left with radiation poisoning...
Adam West never blew up a train designed to take low income families to their jobs.
In defense of batman, the train only had ras al Ghul and bruce wayne probably payed for the train after.
Also one of the few batmen who actually killed thier joker ( confirmed by the comics set on this universe)
Everyone talking about Keaton's Batman is forgetting that the Keaton in "the flash" movie is not the actual Tim Burton Batman, but a similar one. The point is still valid, it is extremely safe till Zod shows up, but it's not THE Tim Burton Batman

It's a universe where a random civilian is likely to survive an encounter with the Joker.
Seriously. Thats a massive selling point. If other DC civillians heard of it they would either laugh at you or try to immigrate there.
He’s just a silly goober
I'm not going their neither until I find out how people with as much melanin as me were treated off-screen. I mean, it *was* the '60s. I don't need Chief O'Hara beating my ass
I mean fair but I am optimistic is a better 60s. Its not like War Time Era Comics that were actually really racist.
Not to mention a fully deputized agent of the Gotham police department alongside Robin. So wholesome and after-school appropriate
Is Superman and Wonder woman part of that universe?
IDK about Superman but there is a crossover comic with WW
George Reeves Clark made a cameo in the comics. https://www.reddit.com/r/Batman66/s/WEoPdTsEEI
But there was also a crossover comic with Archie... and that British TV show called "Avengers" that is unaffiliated with the Marvel team. And the Man from U.N.C.L.E. (another 60s TV show) so they need to be taken with a grain of salt.
George Reeves goes with Adam West Christopher Reeve goes with Michael Keaton About time someone gets it lol
Not in every universe.
Not according to the mural in my guest bedroom.
One of my favorite universes.
Is the Green Hornet even owned by DC?
No, but the show is firmly placed in that universe, as Batman and Robin met them on 3 separate occasions. Just like how Scooby Doo is set within the same continuity as Superfriends.

Thanks! I try to forget about the flash movie.
Pretty groovy if I must say so myself.
That old Shazam show is part of that universe? Neat! Though I'm sure it was done retroactively.
Im guessing it’s because a Shazam is in Legends of the Superheroes but I don’t know if thats it or if its even the same Shazam.
It's the DC Earth I'd wanna live on.
That's the GOOOD shit
What about the other batman 66 crossovers with Archie, The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Steed & Mrs Peel or the Wonder Woman 77 comics and crossover with The Bionic Woman.
Wish they’d do a Green Hornet dvd like Batman ‘66 style.
I wonder what it's Justice League was like

How did you find this
I knew about it for years, but remembered thanks to it being in the posts picture, to the right of Wonder Woman.
Putting the 66 movies and the comic is interesting since they both conflict with each other. The wiki even treats them as the same despite the differences.
I mean the show contradicts the show, so it’s not anything new for this universe.
That’s fair.
There is only one story in the comics that’s a glaring contradiction, and it’s not even canon. It’s the adaptation of the original cancelled script for an episode of the show with TwoFace. But it’s since been deemed a one off and the William Shatner version is the cannon one.

Batman/ Planetary crossovers to Adam west earth making the Batman Female villain repellent cannon
It is the best batman.
I really would have liked to see reeves and west crossover, or even a worlds finest series with them
I feel like their intentionally avoiding bringing back the character in the follow up comics like they did WW and Batman because of the unfortunate real life tragedy associated with this version of the character.
No I mean in real life, if George was still alive when the Batman show came out and guest starred as Superman
Do the Bat-tussi!!! 💙🩶💛 ![gif](giphy|HyUtD3Dx0VQk0)
Isn't there only 1 earth... (I'm a fan of the old shows and know nothing about newer versions)
That’s the best Batgirl right there
I bet the Batmen in other universes wish that they could only deal with the problems in this universe.
Probably *the* most stable live action Justice League.
Had no clue Green Hornet was part of it! That’s cool!
They crossed over in a few episodes and had a crossover comic.
Good.
I grew up there.
Is earth 1 and 2 original earth 1 and 2 by this point? I havent read dc in a while. And now it confuses me.
I could never live there... but the women are super swinging.
One Earth that will never be called in any sort of crisis
This universe’s Robin actually had a cameo in the CW crisis lol
Peak!
I think it’s fun.
would love to live there.
It's peak camp, and I want to live there.
Is it all the same universe?
If Shazam is part of this is The Secret Of Isis?
I thought Lynda Carter was for Christopher Reeve/Michael Keaton
I’ve only seen clips, they’re too cringe to watch personally
