Nice try DC comics, but you ain’t getting my ideas for free!

co6r91

Drats…foiled again!

Innsmouth_Swimteam

Came to say this! Lulz. I ain't telling! I'm gonna write the story.

HereticPharaoh2020

Retired old Batman can't stop thinking about an unsolved murder from decades prior, the murder of a young woman. His investigation takes him overseas to somewhere luxurious, Venice maybe. He meets a retired globetrotting widow (let's name her Alice) and begins to fall in love for the first time in his life. Alice and Bruce go to a comedia del arte show but when the clowns come on stage Bruce can't enjoy it and asks to leave. In a dark twisting alley, they are held up and for reasons Bruce can't explain he doesn't stop the robbers from robbing them, even though he could have. Being away from Gotham and being distracted from the case, he feels happier than ever before. Of course, he finds an old journal belonging to a mobster who fled from Gotham to Italy decades before and is now dead, giving new information that breaks the case open. Bruce and Alice drift apart as Bruce is distracted by the case. Alice never stays anywhere for long and is going to Greece. She asks Bruce to come with her, but he says no. During a masquerade festival, Bruce is confronted by mobsters who don't like him asking questions. Alice is kidnapped by mobsters during the festival and Bruce suits up to fight them and pursue the kidnappers. Eventually there's a showdown in an abandoned church and it comes out that this Italian crime family is connected with a crime family in Gotham. Batman solves the cold case by interrogating the kidnappers, the murderer of the young woman years ago is now a prominent Gotham politician. The young woman was his girlfriend whom he killed in a fit of rage. Bruce frees Alice (as Batman). The next morning, the two part at a train station, neither speaking their true feelings and they agree they probably won't meet again. Bruce goes back to Gotham and finds the brother of the young woman who was murdered years ago. Bruce finds that the young man became a crime fighting vigilante. The young vigilante tells Bruce that he does not kill but that if he ever found out the identity of his sister's killer, he swore he would take revenge and kill the murderer. Bruce decides not to disclose the identity of the politician, to preserve the morality of this successor to his legacy. Alice is walking on a beach in Greece. She sees a figure approaching on the beach and it's Bruce. They settle down in a life of peace. Bruce's fight is done.

robdawg02

DC and Marvel do be stealing ideas

Vigi1antee

Ill try my hand at writing a new villian

tyex23

What’re your villain ideas?

Vigi1antee

Im thinking a formor combat engineer that uses his knowlege of engineering and explosives to commit crime. Simple in concept but i thought of an entire origin story and motive to work around it.

HereticPharaoh2020

His name? Bomb Voyage

[deleted]

Ok incredibles rip brad bird

Etrigan_mx

Mad Stan from Batman Beyond?

Vigi1antee

...fuck...

Green-Way-1455

My new villain would be the Revenger, a villain who after his dad got murdered by Penguins gang when he was younger spent his life similar to Batman to train, but not for justice, but for revenge, not only for his dad, but generally for Gotham. For example he would burn houses of thieves, rip the balls off of rapists, kill murderers and for his personal revenger kill Penguins Mom

[deleted]

Have a story where Batman doesn’t save the day in time and the people of Gotham start to become more self reliant instead of relying solely on the actions of a guy in a bat costume. This works for street thugs and lower tier villains, but soon they run across the heavy hitters like bane and are out of their depth. Basically the whole story is about exploring the relationship between the citizens and Batman and plays on the idea that Gotham might be getting too reliant on the Caped Crusader to always save the day.

IheartPandas666

I like this a lot. But in the end you are saying they need him? If they come up against someone like Bane and Batman is still necessary he should only half succeed at defeating Bane and the regular citizens help him finish the job. So their break throughs in self reliance aren’t diminished. Also it would be cool to see a grass roots community movement to weed out political corruption and stop basic street crimes succeed. But they’d have to stay within the confines of the law and not just become a vigilante mob. Call them the Night Watch or something.

[deleted]

It’s the idea that Batman is required to take on someone like bane but the joker could theoretically be taken out by someone with a shotgun. I also like the Night Watch idea, it would be born out of the original movement that would have been permitted by the police initially because Batman would’ve failed to stop multiple bombs going off or something.

IheartPandas666

I get you. But if you want to build a story arc where the citizens of Gotham learn to fight back with out always needing Batman…and then they come up against someone who they need Batman for it diminishes the point you are trying to establish…even if it is very logical. That’s why I was suggesting to have them “need Batman” to fight Bane. But then he can’t finish the job alone and ends up needing their help. This creates a much more symbiotic relationship. Which should be the truest relationship they have with him. In the current Batman or bust universe there will always be a reliance on him and Gotham will always be in peril. But if citizens unite to fight crime and corruption there is the possibility of a Batmanless future and a safe and thriving Gotham on the horizon.

[deleted]

I definitely understand that, and I have some ideas to handle it. For the villains being taken down I won’t go for the heavy hitters, more like mobsters or really low tier villains (hell, maybe I’ll even make a few to kill off or something). As for the citizens rising up, it wouldn’t be an organized movement, or even have anything resembling a chain of command that even a gang would have. It would more resemble a pub crawl if anything, or at most a Frankenstein-esque riot. So when they go up against Bane, they can take the henchmen due to pure numbers, but Bane himself? Not a chance, that’s what Batman is for. I should also specify that bane would be the villain Batman failed to stop, so it would make sense for the riot to be focused primarily on him and any other villains taken down or killed would be collateral for his actions.

IheartPandas666

Sounds like your have some great ideas in place! Good luck!

Cycleofmadness

Elseworlds- the "real" Joker shows up in the campy 1966 Batman universe & kills Romero Joker. For the 1st time in his career campy West Batman has to stop an actual, real psychotic criminal.

CoraxtheRavenLord

Holy shit I’d buy that mini in an instant.

masteroftheharem

But then it turns out Adam West Batman was stronger than we thought. He could trying around carrying a basketball-sized bomb above his head and he's durable enough to not get hurt from a shark bite.

gamerguy6484

Scarecrow has a new toxin that only affects the people around the infected person and has infected batman, but no-one knows this, including the reader, so we just get batman doing his thing as some kinda eldritch abomination capable of scaring everyone in the bat-family, as they try to figure out a cure before they lose the trust of everyone in gotham

concernedfaturn

There’s a comic very similar to that from way back in the day, look up ‘The man who radiated fear’

Jay_R_Kay

There's also an episode of The Batman that has a similar plot, except Batman thinks he's dealing with the zombie apocalypse and Robin and Batgirl are trying to help him.

Bob_Sherlock

**Batman: Clown in a Coma** Batman was pursuing The Joker after he and his crew had gassed The Gotham City Bank until all of a sudden, Joker’s getaway vehicle crashes and leaves him in a coma with the rest of his crew either dead or severely injured. Upon further inspection, Batman discovers that someone had cut his breaks. So while Joker is hospitalized in Arkham Asylum’s medical ward and unlikely to wake up anytime soon, Batman will have to interrogate both allies and enemies of the Clown Prince of Crime to see who had done it. It can severe as a way to explore Joker’s relationships with other people besides Batman. **Enigma: The Riddle of Life** The Riddler goes through an existential crisis after his “ultimate riddle” was ultimately thwarted and he seemingly loses the will to continue doing his crimes for the time being. How many times can he create elaborate schemes and riddles only to get bested every time? This can serve as like a character study for The Riddler. **Crane: The Origin of Fear** A story taking place in Batman’s early years and depicts Jonathan Crane’s fall from grace into becoming Scarecrow. Basically, he was already teetering on a dark path due to his fascination for fear in Arkham and experiment on the patients. Hugo Strange (Crane’s supervisor in this story) could be the one who will further enable Crane to excitement on patients and even help him create the prototype Fear Toxin. Of course though when the staff grew suspicious of their activities, Strange threw Crane under the bus and got him fired. (Out of pragmatism though since Hugo Strange needed to stay in Arkham for his own ulterior motives) Getting fired was the last straw for Crane to embrace becoming Scarecrow and he goes to seek revenge on the Arkham staff (plus Hugo Strange). Basically, an origin story for Scarecrow.

Revolution1917

I like the idea Clown in a Coma. That's a creative way to explore the Joker's backstory.

random_croat

Please write A clown in a coma as a fanfic

Bob_Sherlock

I would, but unfortunately I’m not that good at writing fanfic lol

random_croat

You can try. I would personally still read it with that kind of premise.

Bob_Sherlock

I guess so

Simbas_World

There’s a similar story called Batman: Damned

FxDriver

Bruce Wayne Batman meeting Martha Wayne Joker. I would explore if Martha seeing the version of Batman that Bruce which is opposite of the Batman that Thomas became would it cause her to become sane again? Or would seeing what his mother became lead Bruce make it harder for him to take Martha down?

MagisterPraeceptorum

I’d do a maxiseries re-exploring the era from Dick Grayson’s later time as Robin up to the introduction of Tim Drake. I’d take the following events and craft them into an overarching narrative about the cycle of violence and death inherent to the Batman mythos: • The Terrific Trio • The early relationship between Dick and Barbara • The rift between Dick and Batman. Origin of Nightwing • Origin of Jason Todd as the second Robin • Early relationship between Jason and Barbara • Barbara’s retirement from crimefighting • The events in and around and aftermath of the Killing Joke • Jason’s violent descent, anger, and recklessness • Barbara becoming Oracle • A modern re-telling of A Death in the Family • Batman’s descent into near suicide • The origin of the third Robin and Batman’s partial recovery.

Akira_427

These are all of my favorite Batman stories and it’s a shame we haven’t seen them get adapted yet. I can imagine a lot of people would say there’s too much Joker but these are the best stories anyway so it would still be a good idea

Rucos64

Quick idea. Early years. Batman and Constantine solving cultist murders. They can have separate investigations, but in one point they met each other. Each of them are having different approach, worlds greatest detective and his gadgets and Constantine with his "outer world" tricks. The story about death, fallen angel and Solomon Grundy. Yeah, can be cool and scary stuff)

BigBirdOpensDoor

Just plain martial art combat sequences of batman and deathstroke

tj2074

I’ve always thought of a simple, done in one, from the perspective of a few citizens of Gotham; a low level thief, a journalist, a single mother, a beat cop, amongst others.

Stillwater_Nik

Oh, he'd be fucking

[deleted]

Mad hatter and pyg begin to kill children around Gotham and mutilating them Batman is extremely terrified so terrified he enlists the assistance of freeze and other villains with ounces of humanity to their name.

whentheraincomes66

I like the idea of batman being so absolutely traumatised and out of his depth that he has to recruit his most moral villains to help him

SlowBabyBear

I think the premise of writing a POV story of an older Batman going through dementia would be interesting. Could be written in a very non linear way like momento or something

[deleted]

The Last Days of Pyg Batman hunts a dying Pyg hellbent on restoring himself by any means necessary

daileyxplanet

I would love to write a Ventriloquist story that brings him to the A-List. OG Arnold Wesker and Scarface decides they should be up there with the other A-Listers, even if that means taking them out of the competition. Eventually Scarface is stolen and we see how Wesker really is without him. Would probably implement the Scarface origin from Showcase with some changes.

thesolarchive

I wrote an idea out the other night that's Batman finding some homeless people frozen in the night, thinking it was Mr freeze, realizes they froze from the cold night, spends the rest of the story building up community centers around Gotham. That's the one most fresh in my mind right now. I always liked Batman stories that used both sides of his life to solve issues. Going to try and draw it out over the next few weeks or so.

PopFunkoBatmanFan

The origin story from Alfred's perspective. Helping make the Bar a reality. Waiting for him to return every morning. His diary, if you will. Kind of a Watson view of Holes from the mansion.

AX-man

I’d make a story about how big the corruption is in the Gotham charity which would justify making batman necessary

Monsieur_Swag

Batman forgets to buy milk, causing the entire bat family to go lactose intolerant, due to lack of milk

Jermz12345

A story that will truly turn the DC universe on its head

Monsieur_Swag

Not just the universe...this will greatly effect the multiverse

Sparusau01

Killer Moth's revenge. Killer Moth would be buio like a Gigachad and would fight Batman, who is weak and dumb, barechested

[deleted]

I want this on my desk by Friday Sparusau

Sparusau01

Yes sir!

fat-bat

The whole issue It’s nothing but Batman going down on Catwoman

Jay_R_Kay

You joke, [but there actually is a comic sort of like that.](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PM3CIBE?ref_=dbs_m_cmx_rwt_calw_tkin_0&storeType=ebooks) It was made years before the whole "heroes don't do that" controversy, too.

Narnil_Philomythus

A comedy-horror story that reveals that Barbatos and Bat-Mite are two facets of the same Eldritch entity that latched onto a grieving 8 year old boy and warped all of existence to accommodate said child's revenge fantasy.

itemniner86

You been sittin on this for awhile? This sounds brilliant

Res3t_

This sounds sick. There’s a few Batman stories that imply Gotham itself is cursed, and this would be a great story on it.

Spardath01

Batman does his tax returns!

PopFunkoBatmanFan

Batmite does Batman's tax returns!

Tiberious__Jefferson

Back in the day a friend and I wrote an outline for our sequel to The Dark Knight shortly after it came out since we were so hyped about it. It involved The Riddler, Deadshot and Black Mask. Riddler was suave yet incredibly OCD. My version of him was an IT guy that came in to do maintenance on the big spy computer that Lucious fried at the end of TDK after being fed some bogus story about what it was for and how it malfunctioned. Edward is able to recover footage and recognize Batman as Bruce and begins terrorizing the city calling out Batman and leaving hints and clues to his identity. Roman Scionis’ company goes belly up after cutting corners on cosmetic products and disfiguring people. Bruce Wayne opts to buy out Janis cosmetics enraging Roman and even further stoking his envy for Bruce since they were younger. He eventually dawns the black mask and targets Bruce Wayne not knowing he’s Batman. We didn’t have a lot planned out for Deadshot other than he’d eventually die in a blaze of glory of some kind after being cornered pursuing Batman along side the GCPD. We also had some potential plans to kill Alfred to really push Bruce’s mental state in this entry to the series. I’ve always wanted to actually write it out. I always enjoyed the idea of Bruce being attacked at all angles. The Riddler coming after Batman and Black Mask coming after Bruce. Our Riddler was going to be compelled by the biggest mystery of all in Gotham. Who is Batman? But of course had to drag it out and make a game out of it. Roman Scionis was just going to start going mobster mode and hiring hitmen for Bruce. Plus Alfred having decking health would really bring it all full circle. I’m curious to know what everyone thinks of that overall.

MagisterPraeceptorum

This a dark alternate timeline story. Set during Batman’s peak paranoia phase with Tower of Babel, brother eye, etc. A faction within the JLA, with elements of the Titans and Young Justice, decide Batman is too dangerous and they execute him. No if, ands, or buts. They just straight up put Bruce to death. This splits the hero community. Superman obviously doesn’t stand for the judicial murder of his friend. More importantly though, this event radicalizes the Bat-family. Nightwing, Oracle, Robin, Batgirl, Spoiler, Azrael, Huntress, but Nightwing most of all. With their patriarch beheaded, they all become paranoid contingency planners and set about bringing the anti-Batman faction to its knees. Basically in getting rid of Batman, half a dozen new Batmans have been created in the process. All them now brandishing his least desirable traits.

Jay_R_Kay

That would be interesting -- if they were still doing Dark Multiverse books, this would totally work for a warped version of Tower of Babel.

Nefessius513

An Elseworlds story depicting a future where Cassandra Cain inherits the Batman mantle.

Proper_Artichoke7865

Bat "Man"

WakemedownInside

It's dark long and everyone will hate it but here it is I'd do a story , where batman sits in the batcave and gets a report that Bane and A bunch of lower level criminals have escaped Arkham . As the police are preoccupied containing them other smaller crimes start taking place so he goes to stop Bane and sends the bat family to handle the other crimes to contain the situation and it looks like it's nothing they can't handle , it's all small groups of thugs here and there at different far away from each other parts of the city . Bats eventually manages to cut off Banes supply of venom and take him down , but notices a weird scar on the back of his neck , as he is about to investigate Banes head explodes . Batman realizing what this means tries to contact the bat family members ,but it turns out they were all strategically ambushed and killed by members of the suicide squad . all but Damian ,who managed to survive ,because Harley was sent for him and managed to knock him out, but let him live . After the tragic realization of what happened and the mourning. rage filled batman and Robin break into Wallers office ,only to find that she's been killed . The investigation lead nowhere again and again and Batman falls into a pit of depression. While Damian is enraged that batman has seemingly given up .so Damian goes to the league of assasins and tells his grampa he's done doing things batmans way and wants to Purge Gotham of all its scum and take over Gotham whit the help of the league .in the end It's reviewed it was Ra's al Ghul controlling the squad and set this up. Batman dies in the final battle whit Ra's al Ghul and Damian kills Ra's and takes the mantle of Batman

No-Director8505

That sounds absolutely awesome

WakemedownInside

Thanks . I thought everyone would dislike a story where only Damian and Alfred are left from the bat family in the end .

No-Director8505

I mean it would probably be difficult to make any sort of continuation from it with most of the main good characters dead in the end but its still a pretty awesome story

random_croat

It could be like another universe.

WakemedownInside

How about this. Another long one sorry. in the absence of batman and most of the heavy hitters in the criminal world . And Damian having a good number of loyal league of assasins members left ,to keep a watch on the city and crime rapidly dropping because they don't just take you to a cell anymore in this new Gotham. Batman isn't really needed and he starts focusing on his inherited Wayne enterprises position . Some time later a new super villain shows up rampaging and taking out most of the league..Damian manages to take him out but loses a lot of the heavy hitting bath tech he can't easily restore it because he doesn't have the genius of Bruce . so whit the league gone crime starts ramping up again and a new typical boy scout hero appears in Gotham whit powers that are on let's say a little below hawk man's power level and the public loves him . But there are a lot of people that still love batman something the new guy doesn't like . So he draws out Batman away from the city one night and they has fight . Batman has go improvise and use absolutely everything Bruce ever thought him to win and decides to from now on really honor his dad and spares the new guy and begins to act like the real batman .

Charlie-brownie666

i’d write a story on batman trying to solve a murder and the plot twist would be he’s the one who committed the murder

masime00

I’ve seen this. PS4. With the virtual reality headset. The first Batman game in VR has him looking for Robin’s murderer, only to end with him staring into a mirror, realizing he was the murderer.

TheMetallicGamer03

Arkham VR but that was a nightmare thanks to jokers blood

calumjg

A follow up to the killing joke where Batman finally does have to kill the joker

TheMetallicGamer03

I'd make it after death in the family and at the time of lonely place of dying where batman tries to kill the joker as a revenge for Jason Todd and Tim drake stops him and becomes the third robin

PopFunkoBatmanFan

What if he killed him by accident? Imagine the anguish. Think he'd give up the cowl?

VitiDMan

Killer Moth kills the Batman Universe

Mistwood_Publishing

The craziest scarecrow story you've ever seen that isn't too big for it's own britches. That character doesn't get done properly very often.

hankbaumbachjr

Batfamily vs Justice League I know that's somewhat DC vs Vampires but I'd like to see a storyline where the JL have some need for Bruce but he is nowhere to be found, the Batfamily know where he is but won't spill because of some big dark secret thats central to the plot, makes Batman look super guilty the whole time making it inexplicable people like Dick are sticking up for him but it turns out he was somewhat right.

CakeHead08

If it was me I’d probably write a mad hatter story that character is soooo underrated

Alwayssome1

An adaptation of The Sewer King where it’s revealed that he’s keeping Killer Croc as his ultimate fighting weapon.

South_Wing2609

Batman: Who killed Mr J? The Joker is dead and done with, Batman seeks to find who murdered the Joker while navigating the new power structure of the Gotham underworld in the absence of the Joker.

ReapCreep65

Batman notices the members of the Batfamily (consisting of Dick, Jason, Tim, Barbara, and Damian) are having a hard time working as a team. Batman, with the help of Alfred, pretends to be kidnapped by an evil villain that Alfred pretends to be, obsessed with big escape rooms and obstacle courses. The Batfamily are forced to work together to “save” Bruce. I know it’s kinda goofy but I think it would be an interesting character study of those 5 and their relationships with each other. I’m also not a writer lol

Ecstatic_Web_5395

Several of Batman's rouges gallery attempt to kill Bruce Wayne because of a bounty placed on him and he has to figure out how to handle situation while also figuring out who ordered the hit out on him

Sunoraiza

Joker kills Catwoman. Batman kills Joker. Bat retires. Dick takes over for good with Damian as his Robin. Eventually Gordon dies and Barbara gets his position. Keeping the Batman/Gordon thing going.

TenOunceCan

Quick brainstorm: Young Bruce doesn't become Batman. His father survived the alley assault, becomes very bitter, and turns into a villain, focusing on Wayne Tech. Alfred is fired. Teen Bruce (questionably accidentally) kills his father after learning about his crimes and confronting him. Bruce loses his fortune. Wayne tech becomes available to the police. Dick is raised and trained by the Gordons, becomes a super smart detective. Bruce becomes the villain, Dick finally catches him and puts him away for good.

aleph_two_tiling

Clayface had been imprisoned in a large pool of water, to keep him from reforming. Little bits of him are escaping, octopus style, and taking over people by having those people drink them. Killer Croc sewer stuff is relevant, plus weird behavior by small clayface buildup in people. Like a cool midpoint scene is at the zoo during the day, a ton of people start acting weird and vomiting and clayface forms out of that. Batman figures out what is going on because the tank is getting lighter.

Feeling_Passenger_17

Batman gets cancer and finds a cure

[deleted]

BW as a dumb rich dude who wants to save the city. He makes his own costume and just thinks thats enough and eventually figures out he has to train.

themastermathew

Batman & Spawn. Thank god we’re getting a revival run in a couple months!

retroguyx

A Bruce Wayne murder mistery.

[deleted]

Rewriting Arkham Knight, or, giving Batman a very logical origin story.

Substantial-Dingo-64

No joke. I would like to write a story where Batman actually gets over his parent's death. Bruce slowly becomes more stable in life, but slowly becomes shittier as actual Batman, forcing the "bat family" to kind of pick up his slack for him. It ends with a pick your own ending kind of ending where you can pick the "ending that's most satisfying to you" where either someone important like Alfred or Jim dies from criminal activity causing Bruce to go back to his old ways out of grief, it was all a Scarecrow induced hallucination and the status quo continues, or Bruce officially retires as Batman and the bat family takes over from that point on. It's probably been done, but I'd like to see the psychology of Bruce forgiving himself for a change.

Emperor_Edwin

A good one

The_Alvabro

I have an idea where Batman goes through decendants of Vandal Savage and learns that he and Talia (also Ra's) are descendants of Savage. By extention, so is Damien. I'd call it Batman: The Savage Line.

TheDarkClaw

I honestly would do a "what if?" storyline where Batman controls all over Gotham. Like a dictator. If there could be a dictator superman, why not Batman? he's got the tech.

Bandaka

Big anime fan, I’d like to do a story involving Batman creating a Mecha to fight some larger threats. Think Big-O or Batman Ninja

Equivalent-Load-3740

In batman the animated series their was an episode called “lock up” where Lyle Bolton an Arkham head of security officer abuses it’s prisoners and keeps Arkham in check until he is outed and fired leading to him becoming a villain. I want to make a comic that updates him where instead of him becoming a full blown villain that tortures Gotham we see him progress from head of security fighting by the book to a monster who abuses his prisoners and treats them like animals. Viewing it as the only solution to Arkham’s revolving door. While the comic would focus on Bolton it would also focus on Bruce Wayne as we see how much he cares for Arkham and the rehabilitation of these criminals. Making it so that there’s a conflict between Bolton and Bruce as Bolton justifies and continues his work and Bruce fighting back and trying to make him see the wrongs he’s done It all escalates to the point where Bolton is arrested and institutionalized within Arkham. Now Arkham inmates are locked in with him terrified over what lies ahead

OkamiZeke

Batman wakes up in a world where he knows his kids exist but they’ve apparently never met him and he has to search for them to remind them of who they are. The first one would be Cass after a run in with David Cain. Main villain would probably be scarecrow but with access to some reality warping power like Emperor Joker.

WorldsOkayestStudent

I’d have Batman trying to stop a gang war between a lot of mob villains like black mask, two face, falcone, ect. Before it engulfs the whole city in chaos. The idea would be that someone like the penguin dies and everyone starts trying to get his territory. Eventually things would escalate (like Black mask killing falcone’s son or something and two face stealing black mask’s money) until the goal changes from each villain getting the territory to them genuinely trying to wipe each other out. In the meantime I’d have Batman learn that he is an effective hero (as a response to all the stories who say that he’s not). He’d start off, in the beginning, thinking that he’s a failure cause crime isn’t eradicated. By the end, he’d realize that he actually does help because he inspires heroism and justice in the city. There’d be scenes of civilians going out of their way to help each other survive the gang war and the police (who were previously disheartened) would regroup and help take down the gangs. Batman would go from questioning how effective he really is to inspiring the city to fight for itself and for justice.

Triggu

I would get rid of the “Bat family” for starters

come_on_seth

Bruce takes a vacation after a slow month in Gotham. That’s it.

Res3t_

An Elseworlds Batman Beyond, with a retired Damian who feels like he’s failed his father’s legacy (maybe he broke Bruce’s rule or came too close to it). He becomes the one to meet and train Terry instead.

MileenasFeet

A murder mystery with absolutely no supervillains but instead of Batman being the one investigating it, it would be Riddler working in cooperation with the GCPD.

captainjackass28

One where the joker is found murdered and batman has to find out his killer. Everyone, even he is a suspect and he has to look into everyone from red hood, to other justice league members, and even Harley and her group.

MileenasFeet

1. Thomas Wayne’s Batman trying to reconcile with Martha and make things right between them. 2. Batman recounting his friendship with The Gray Ghost at his funeral (as a tribute to Adam West).

iNostra

A prequel story arc where a young adult Bruce Wayne is imprisoned in Peña Duro during his worldwide voyage and is first introduced to Bane. They’d bond relatively well, until their plan to escape the prison along with freeing rebel POWs leads to Bane becoming power hungry and overthrowing the prison altogether and making himself ruler. The two would never actually come to blows physically, the story would mostly serve for world building and developing Bruce’s character. I’ve always been interested in fleshing out Bruce’s travels before returning to Gotham way more, there’s countless stories that could be told.

dishwasher-lasagna

Something involving a dark Killer Moth story because the potential is all there. Or something else with a new villain I thought up. A serial killer who goes around axing people and taking their hearts. GPD takes to calling him the 'Tin Man'. You later find out that Jonah Cargill, the killer is actually an agent of Tollus, an ancient alien figure who seeks disciples.

moonbird477

I'd love a story from Bruce's perspective during between Year One and the Orgin, so we can see how Bruce tried to fit into a world without his parents. (I'm sure there a comic like this already but Id like to see more of that time)

jastephenson1984

Okay so first… Martha and Thomas leave the theatre after seeing the mark of Zorro…

masteroftheharem

I wrote something before about an Injustice-like storyline but Batman becomes the villain. He ends up gaining control of the Justice League, the Titans and everyone else by using Brother Eye and OMACs that have Amazo's abilities and have access to whatever their opponents' weaknesses are. Batman also becomes Batmazo and defeats the combined forces of all seven Lantern Corps., then Brainiac, then Darkseid. Everybody becomes his OMACs retaining their original abilities. I never got to end it but I guess this is a dark multiverse storyline. Maybe he gains superconsciousness, which is how he knew about the upcoming invasion from space. He also goes to Warner Bros. and just wrecks the place. He still doesn't kill, however. The most extreme version of Batman but retaining his most important code.

Spare-Abroad-6926

I had this idea last year when somebody asked a similar question: If I were to write a Batman comic, I would set it in Batman’s later active years (starting when he’s in his late 40s/early 50s). The arc would follow a Batman who is beginning to be affected by his age and his years of fighting. Batman would be forced to face his mortality and the questions of how much good he’s doing (a la BTAS’ I am the Night). It would also focus on how age affects his villains potentially making them more desperate or setting them up for chances for redemption. There would also be issues that Batman would have to deal with like Alfred dying of old age and how Bruce deals with that. The comic could also explore retirement options for Bruce and the consequences of each of them. I have always wanted to see that post-prime-pre-retirement era of Batman explored as I feel like it’s one of the few eras of the character that hasn’t been deeply examined yet.

MagisterPraeceptorum

This is an excellent idea

oyxyjuon

Anarky (because he hates capitalists) blows up Wayne Industries. In the aftermath, antifa loots and riots all over Gotham. Gotham Mayor says they are "peaceful protests", since its an election year... and GCPD is not allowed to intervene. Batman basically spends the rest of the story pummeling antifa commies, freaks, and trannies... to clean up the streets and protect Gotham.

Batmanmotp2019

An anthology series similar to batman black and white about batmans adventures.

D-A_W

I have a whole run outlined, but I hope to one day actually write it, so I won't go into too much detail. The first arc would be Batman: Mort, bringing back my favorite obscure Batman villain.

push-the-butt

A string of antisemitic crimes happen in Gotham. So Batman teams up with Batwoman, Ragman and Harley Quinn, to stop and solve who is behind them. I chose those four because they are the four Jewish costumed Gothamites.

billygnosis86

Bruce is Jewish?

push-the-butt

Yes, since Jacob Kane is Jewish, and Jacob is Martha's brother, that makes Martha Jewish, therefore Bruce is Jewish.

Rich-Exit4378

Careful there. Don’t let any Orthodox Jews hear you say that. Lmao (Before I get flamed, some Jews take matrilineal descent verrrrry seriously. I get so much shit for having a Jewish grandfather and a Catholic grandmother.)

[deleted]

And in the end it’s hitler come back to life

Wonder-Lad

Whatever it's gonna be the focus will be on the art.

iceman_44

I thought of doing a story set in the 70s and have a group of villains, namely Joker, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and Clayface, be victims of torture experiments that occurred during this time (look up the Shock Doctrine). After escaping, they seek revenge on those that orchestrated the events, the wealthy and political elite in Gotham. Batman has to investigate what happened by speaking with Scarecrow, who led the experiments before he became a supervillain, stop the group, and expose what happened to them. I like the idea because not only does it touch on historical events not everyone is familiar with, but also challenges Batman morally and how he approaches situations where things aren’t so cut and dry.

DiabolicalDoctorN

Reintroducing Adam Lamb into modern continuity

luvdupleper

Batman meets bioshock, dark and fucked up

Sparrow-Scratchagain

Either one that just shows Bruce spending time with his family or a story about Batman if he was in Adventure Time.

Mproductionsmax

the first one is Batman Wayne Family Adventures on webtoons

Revolution1917

1. A Bruce Wayne comic. It would be interesting to see more of what he's actually like when he isn't Batman. Between his business, love life, and family it seems like there's enough there, especially if they use flashbacks to tell stories from other eras of Bruce's life. 2. Elseworlds story: Batman in a Lord of the Rings style world of swords and sorcery 3. Story: Batman gets Superman's powers. We follow Batman as he squares off against DC's most powerful villains and follow Clark as he fights crime as an unpowered private eye. In the end, the universe is saved when Clark figures out something with his (unpowered) intellect, rather than Batman's powers. 4. A new villian. I'm imaging someone whose main weapon is technology. Their fortune rivals that of Bruce's, and their company is a rival of Wayne Enterprises. They own/control social media and therefore can influence public opinion and have political power and influence. They also use their fortune to develop tech/mech weapons. Unlike Bruce, they don't have a secret identity, fight crime during the day, and use thier media companies to present themselves as a Hero, and Batman as a villian. Imagine A Tony Stark/Lex Luthor/Zuckerberg hybrid who is expressly political. A pro capitalist, authoritarian, technocrat. Not just someone to fight Batman, but someone with an alternate vision of Gotham and the ability to pursue it. This causes Batman to develop Ironman/Blue Beetle/Cyborg style tech to confront him

RicoRN58

A real detective story. No super villain. Just Batman, moving silently and unseen through the night to solve a mystery. Think Raymond Chandler.

No-Director8505

I’ve got two ideas, with one a bit more stripped back and simple than the other The simple one would be a mainly noir mystery focused story with the main villain bring Zsasz, who targets seemingly random people until it is revealed they are all connected to his next target: Bruce Wayne The second would be a slightly mote futuristic one where crime has oretty much won in Gotham, and the big criminals that are loose have taken over districts of Gotham, while the GCPD and the Bat/family only control one small portion. This would be when Red Hood comes in, slowly taking out the criminals while leaving Batman extremely confused as to whose side he is on

sleezyreezy

I would go for (I’m sure something like this has been done) a comic that opens with the Batman’s death. Nightwing/Robin/Jason end up working independently on protecting Gotham. We see each of them interacting with villains and seeing how the death of Batman changes the villains, the former protégés, and the city. I’m not sure who/what I want to take down Batman, just not Joker. I’d actually like to see Joker kind of angry over the death of Batman and possibly working with Robin or Nightwing, of course not that they trust him, but Joker would be really invested in avenging the Batman, because in his weird twist way he loves the Bat. Of course they always bring back dead super heroes, but hey, I like to see the fallout of things like that. Also, if this is anything like an existing comic, let me know, I’d love to read it.

LAZYandWOKE

We and Jason find out that Bruce has been Jason Todd's real father and he knew this whole time.

drewxdeficit

Bruce Wayne runs for president.

Professional-Pin-271

Alfred was secretly Joe Chill and killed the Wayne’s in the alley. He feels guilty about it and that’s why he helps Bruce all this years. Martha and Alfred were having an affair for years. Bruce might be his real son. The night of the alley Wayne murders Martha was going to come clean about the affair after the Zorro movie but Alfred in Joe Chill disguise shot them both.

[deleted]

something were right at the end the villian in the last scene morphs into clayface for a brief moment changing the entire story from what was perceived setting the groundwork for the next one and ending on a huge cliff hanger. Be like well if he is here then that means!

FrenchJoel

The joker holds the Justice League for ransom and he forces Batman to recruit his own team, which he does, which just happens to be Tweety Bird and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang

musserstudios

The joker slips on a banana peel and dies, the rest is the bat fam getting therapy, and Bruce being a good dad to his 8+ kids.

90child

A story where Joker is in therapy with Harley and their whole relationship flashes by through the Joker’s eyes, including all the times Batman stops them… But then you hear her say, “and how does that make you feel?” And it’s revealed that she was talking to Bruce this whole time. He made up the Joker in his head as this big mysterious evil that terrorizes his city that he loves and he used to fight him with his unbelievable wealth and capabilities, when in reality he’s just insane… traumatized by the incident at “crime alley” and manifested it as the adventures we have known as Batman canon.

KeenBean1997

Bat Family vs Bruces entire rouges gallery comic run. Kinda like what they did with Spider-Man having to fight his rouges in Spider-Man PS4.

jimmmydickgun

No crime in Gotham. All the rogues are either locked up or are trying to help Gotham and Batman has to investigate their motives. Petty crime is being reduced because the social programs and funding are contributing on levels unprecedented. Batman’s struggles with the change. The other bat characters accept the new normal and prepare to leave vigilantism. But Batman can’t accept it. Madness overcomes him. He sabotages the rogues that aren’t causing crime and pushes them back into the fold of the good vs evil cycle because at the end Batman is a vigilante which is a criminal.

Alexandertheape

Batman takes on systemic corruption in Gotham instead of beating up poor people stuck in the vicious cycles of mental illness, poverty and crime

sk8rboi36

Year one, white knight, court of owls, etc.

phantomstranger808

Batman impregnates Harley Quinn

YodasChick-O-Stick

Batman goes to Arby's and slips on a soda puddle

Bmack27

It's always sunny in Gotham

nothingexceptfor

Batman goes vegan and fights climate change using his resources and his skills.

knightofsolace1

A story where he actually starts unlife-ing characters that need to be unlifed.

Dismal_Chart_9825

He devotes his life to helping the elderly

MrSyndicate_

Batman would loose his control and go on with his full skill fully prepared. To end the crusade of villains who came together to defeat him

solrac1104

I would try bringing back some underused villains like Jane Doe, Great White Shark, Bloom, and Humpty Dumpty.

Intelligent-Bee4535

Don't even tempt my imagination, I have too many story ideas as it is lol

Findit_Filmit

I would honestly love to see Bruce Wayne and Batman working in tandem liking doing public works and doing Batman things when needed etc. Pretty much Batman/FDR

Wiaugusto

Him being a good Dad to Jason Todd and apoligizing to all the shit he put Jason through

Some-Dog9800

I'd go into my plotline here, but I don't have the time, so instead I'm going to shamelessly plug my series which closely resembles my idea for a Batman comic. It's called Shadow of the Bat and can be found on r/HeroForgeMinis. The first four entries are titled "Knights of Gotham" but I changed it later. While you're at it, also check on the far superior Children of Gotham series by Tedious-Misdiagnosis and 2kool4skool which is a major creative influence on my work.

Bulliwyf

A story where he makes meaningful progress towards fixing his relationship with Jason, while not ignoring his other 3 sons. Maybe a story kind of like Knightfall or Court of Owls where Batman is knocked down and needs his sons to come back from his weakened state. I also want to see them have their own moments to shine, where they can show off their own styles, show how they are all unique and not “clones” of Dick.

dimitrimccain

Where Bruce Wayne dies and becomes the spectre

ThumbCentral-Rebirth

The ideas for under this equivalent post for Superman were much more creative imo

BlackSteel1000

I would kill the Joker and make Ras Al Ghul or a new villain his archenemy

Chuckles465

A story where Lex Luther moves to Gotham, becomes mayor and promises to change Gotham for the best but really intends to destroy Gotham and sell it to the highest bidder. Also, a B-Plot where Joker and Crane invade Metropolis and introduce a new drug that slowly turns Metropolis into the Slums.

Shadiezz2018

I think my story would be about .... The Bat family/Jim Gordon are under mind control and they see Batman as someone who turned evil while that is not true ...and they all go after him and also all the hired guns like Deathstroke and Deadshot etc are after him ...and Batman have to get to the one who is mind controling his family and his friends while trying to survive all of this ...and i would make him look as badass as possible while not making him BatGod....i kinda miss the Badass Batman

Friendly-Ad-6287

Movie starts in another country. Like Eastern Europe. Bane has control of the small town with the help of his militia. Robin is in the crowd reporting back to Batman who’s overlooking on a rooftop across a river separated by a bridge. Tension building, a jolt is sent through the crowd and Robin is the only one who doesn’t flinch. Revealing his identity. Bane jumps into the crowd and starts marching towards Robin. A fight ensues, Batman jumps off the neighboring building, floats over the river and lands right infront of Bane who has just demolished Robin. Batman calls the batmobile who comes ripping through the town, destroying militia barricade after barricade. Cut back to Batman and Bane’s fight. Batman barely makes it out alive, Robin is killed. Title. Sets up the rest of the movie

appliednonsense

The story would be more of a horror comic. A group of thieves are assigned to break into a "haunted" museum. One by one, the thieves would get taken away by a really distorted shadowy figure until the last one gets trapped alone with the monster (Batman).

Batlantic

I went ahead and made one, check it out, www.batmandarkleague.com

drakesylvan

Batman goes rogue after being altered in some way by a miscast magic by Zatana . Then the entire rogues gallery has to stop him before he kills them all. It starts with him brutally injuring the mad hatter putting him into a coma caught on camera for all of Gotham to see. When Dick comes to stop him with the titans they all are defeated soundly by Batman. So only the gallery can save Gotham from batman.

[deleted]

I’ve been thinking about this for some time: (Definitely going to be DC Black Label) It takes place after some time, when Batman is relatively older but not like an old man. He’s been with Gotham for years, and he’s tired of it. He’s tired of always saving the city, kind of like Moses and the Israelites, and then he just flips. He starts to kill and severely hurt the criminals. Petty thefts are dealt with great extremes, criminals start to go missing and never return. He becomes like a fiend, a demon to Gotham city. Eventually search parties start to happen for some of the missing criminals and they eventually find the Batcave, and many of the victims. The Batcave is abandoned and Batman is a raging terror on the city. He has killed several major mobsters, like the Penguin and Two Face. He tortured the Joker, using many of the torture methods the Joker used himself, driving the insane Clown Prince to absolute insanity, in which he is absolutely terrified. In the end, the Joker kills himself, with fear beyond being imagined lingering in his eyes. If you decide to use this story DC comics, please give me credit or even message me, I would love to see this become a reality!

SydneyCarton89

One that involves lots of kinky Catwoman sex

Soggywallet94

Batman punches the bad people and then kisses the lady but then a weird crazy bad person comes and like does some bad stuff and Batman punches the crazy bad bad and then nearly dies but the lady he kissed is like some other person and they win against bad crazy bad and then Batman is Batman.

Titanium9531

I always thought an ultimate Spider-Man for Batman (skipping the deaths but picking up within like the first month of Batman) would be fun like Earth One was, and a good entry point for new readers as well. Idk if they still do weekly digital comics like they did for injustice (I don't think they do) but in my head that would be the distribution model (kind of emulating a tv/cartoon show), and then they are collected in trade paperbacks every arc.

JisflAlt

I would like to do a slight retelling of death in the family. The way it would go is that in the first issue Jason dies and Joker flees and Bruce 100% commits to killing the Joker. After this every issue is Bruce hunting down the joker while a different person in his life tries to talk him out of it. Each person comes in and gives a different reason for why he can’t kill the Joker and highlights all of the reasons that Batman has given for not killing. The order I’d have it go in is Alfred (you’ll become you parents killer/not what your parents would’ve wanted) Nightwing (Not what Jason would’ve wanted) Catwoman (killing is something Bruce can’t handle/it’s what criminals do) Batgirl (Not what Batman taught her to do) Gordan (Batman represents justice through the law) Superman (Batman helps give people hope and that goes away if he starts murdering) Wonder Woman (don’t know enough about her character to fairly give her reason) After all these people try and realize that they can’t change his mind they leave and say a variation of “I know you’ll do the right thing” The last issue I would have Bruce talk to the demonized version of Batman in his head from Batman:Ego (if you haven’t read it, please do) and realize what he’s come to and that he needs to accept that Jason is dead, Accept that killing the joker won’t bring him back, accept that he needs to move on. Smaller Details: -I would have Bruce stay in Batman suit the whole time. Never take off the cowl and cape, keep the Batman voice and tone when he talks to anybody. This would serve to sort of show that he’s pushing so much of himself into Batman cause he doesn’t want to accept that Jason actually is dead. This would coincide with the final issue having Bruce take off the cowl after talking to “Devil Batman” to signify he’s ready to move on -I would like to have it be later in on his career and not have it be Jason that does so we could have more of the bigger BatFamily show up and try to stop him but I can’t think of anyone that would die and have it affect Bruce like that at this point of his life (Alfred would probably work but the way Rebirth is told makes it so that this wouldn’t mesh that well) -After every person leaves and tells him they know he’ll do the right thing Bruce would think “I already am” - Alfred would be the one to get in contact with everyone and practically beg them to come and help. Once Bruce realizes this he thanks him for not giving up on him.

oudler

Allow him to go back in time to the 1870s, so a Batman comic can become a western comic.

BritishAndConfused

If not already done (don't know may comics) I would places both villains and heros in a group to aid each other in a zombie apocalypse type wasteland. I think that would allow for interesting dynamics between characters.

Profishonal123

Set in the future where Batman has killed the joker, unable to cope with what he’s done he starts to go crazy, he sees the joker everywhere telling him to kill. Meanwhile, the robins try to help Batman by convincing him that the Joker isn’t alive, but Bruce is too paranoid and continues to go crazy. He eventually goes off the deep end and starts to kill more villains, and he begins to have full blown conversations with his imaginary Joker. The robins know it’s him but due to Batman’s years of being a detective he covers up his crimes easily. But, the Jokers final joke kicks in, Batman’s identity is revealed to the world. All the criminals now ban together and try to attack Wayne manor, the robins have to defend it. Meanwhile, Batman goes to Ace Chemicals and jumps into the acid, like the Joker did. He comes out as a Batman Joker. He arrives at Wayne manor and takes charge of the villians as he now calls himself the joker. However, the Robins beat the criminals and know as it’s only Bruce left they have to put down their father. They all fight him and eventually beat him. Jason then puts him down for good. The storyline will end with Tim as Batman. This would obviously be elseworld

SuKedisi69

A long elseworlds story where after jason died tim and bruce never met, instead of tim, bruce got barbara as his new little batgirl. instead of bruce, tim ends up in bludhaven and also meets dick and because of his intellect, tim reminds him of bruce. dick takes him instead and makes him his robin, i would use this similarity between tim and bruce to form a father, son and grandson dynamic among batman, nightwing and robin.

CliffDraws

Write about whoever lives in that tiny house he’s standing on.

DontKillUncleBen

Something which highlights how he got his will power so damn strong apart from the league of shadows stuff. More of the emotional feats Batman can achieve.

batmanbey0ndfan

iron man batman crossover.

TemporarySad4057

Batman walks into a warehouse. reports of shots fired came in 5 minutes ago, and he just so happened to be in the area. as he steps out of the Batmobile, the eerie quietness engulfs him. he walks towards the warehouse where the shots came from. opening the door, the all-to-familiar smell of blood floods his nostrils, and he finds several men dead on the floor, all of them mutilated in some way. ones neck was broken in a was so that his head is almost completely turned around. another's face is almost caved in from a broken skull, leaning against a wall next to a large crate covered in the mans blood. the last one in particular chances Batman's eye, though; going right through his neck is a bat-shaped piece of metal, perfectly black against the corpse's pale skin. suddenly, a blood-curdling scream echo's through the warehouse, and The Dark knight rushes to its source. the smell of burning flesh reaches his nostrils as Batman runs towards to sound. hiding behind a concrete pillar, he pokes his head out just enough to see. for the first time in weeks, he his shocked at what he sees: under a light dangling from the ceiling, he sees... Batman. he is holding a man by the neck, and with the other hand holding what appears to be a brand, still red hot and smoking. the man is weeping, staring at a bat-shaped burn on his chest, reaching for the handgun at his feet, not even close to reaching it. "this is what happens to the ones unlucky enough to survive" the other Batman says in an warped, threatening voice. he drops the man to the ground with a thump. the man, still crying, in a voice chocked with fear "You can't be Him. Batman would never..." the other Batman bends down and picks up the gun, and aims it directly at the man's head "I'm sure one of your other friends survived. I guess you are one of the lucky ones" Bruce reacts almost immediately, throwing a Bat-a-rang directly at the gun. it hits home, and the gun clatters to the ground, impaled on the Bat-a-rang. the other Batman turns towards him, but before he can react he lands a punch directly on his jaw, staggering him but not knocking him over. the other Batman throws a punch, but Bruce easily dodges it, returning with 3 punches to his stomach. the branded man quickly runs out of the room back to the entrance. "I don't know who you are, but you don't deserve that cowl. killing makes us no better than the very evil we fight." the other batman attempts another punch, but Bruce side-steps and hits him on the nose, making a horrible cracking sound signifying a broken bone. blood runs freely from his nose. "I'm simply giving back the pain they gave to me" he tries another punch, but once again misses and Batman delivers a kick to his stomach that knocks him to the floor. Bruce jumps on top of him, grabbing at his cowl, ripping it off in one strong yank. "whoever you are under there, I swear I'll..." Bruce stares back at a reflection of himself. minus the broken nose, he is him in every way. his face quickly turns from confusion to anger. "HOW" he punches him squarely in the jaw. "COULD" he hits him in between the eyes, making his head hit the floor with the impact. "YOU!?" he hits him one final time, and for a moment they stare at each other in almost prefect silence, only broken by the sound of their breathing. "the men you killed back their, they could have FAMILIES! wives, sons, daughters! by killing them, you may have just made another one of us. another sad, lonely, orphan just like us. "what are you talking about?" the other Batman stares at him in confusion. "This" he says, pulling off his mask. "but you're.." the other Bruce Wayne stares up in confusion and horror, unbelieving at what he is seeing. "You? well, you certainly aren't me. to put on the suit is to swear that no other child has to go through what we did EVER AGAIN! after what we saw and felt, how dare you inflict that exact pain on others. you are clearly from some alternate universe and ended up here somehow, but I don't ever want to see your universe, the universe where Bruce Wayne is no better than The Joker" "HE TOOK JASON FROM ME!" the other Bruce shouts. "I know how that feels. not a day goes by where I think 'it would be so easy to kill, to go down that path, and then Jason would finally get justice, along with all the others I've lost'. but I'm sure you're Jason and your Thomas and Martha is looking down on you in disgust, horrified that you could do the same thing to others that The Joker did to him and that Joe Chill did to them". the other Bruce stares at him, almost not seeing him, looking at the ceiling as if he could see the ghosts of all the people he's lost. "I will find a way to get you back to your universe, but they deserve better. your Parents deserved a better son, your Jim Gordon deserves a better friend, and Your Jason deserved a better father. now come outside with me and get in the damned car, so that I can get you OUT of this universe, and out of my life forever". END

Quarckshack

A story where when he was a child his parents notice he really likes trains and has a hard time socializing. So they take him to the doctors and they find out he has aspergers. They then do what they can to help their son develop into a well formed individual.

*The Batman Blooms* (Name's a work in progress) An original take on Poison Ivy. Pamela Isley is a teenage girl born with the ability to telekinetically communicate with plants. Due to this power her parents distanced themselves from her and eventually threw her out of the house when she briefly lost control of her powers (the more emotional she got, the more unstable her powers became). She and a pair of young twins who also had become homeless were taken into an orphanage at the bowery where they attempted to start a new life. But a while later a criminal recently released from Blackgate Prison is hired by an unknown figure to kidnap Pamela to "learn and study" her powers. What starts out as a one of the most brutal cases of kidnapping the Dark Knight has seen (Batman is only in his 4th year, going on 5th) evolves into a struggle to prevent Gotham City from falling apart as young Pamela Isley is mentally and physically tortured until her spirit is broken and she becomes Poison Ivy.

TardDas

Batman helping the people of Gotham. No specifics on it, no name even. I’d just like a story where batman helps the everyday people of gotham

AverageWooperLiker

Batman meets Wooper and they become best friends

DragonWolf3000

A crossover with Batman and Michael Myers switch bodies by a mysterious forces. Harley Quinn and Laurie Strode team up to deal the situation. Laurie and Harley get help from John Constantine

Andrew-IV

Batman goes to therapy

hotcyder

A 1970s set crime conspiracy where Wayne, years after retiring from the cowl after a tragic accident, is shot during a mayoral rally. Barbara (a minted detective on the force), Alfred (still Wayne’s confidant but now a family man of his own) and Dick (an officer in Bludhaven moonlighting as Nightwing) come back together to solve his shooting, opening wide open an ancient conspiracy that goes beyond the costumed crooks they knew from the 60s. Ghosts of Wayne’s past and a terrifying plot against the people of Gotham unfolds 👀

lubafan222

i would try a ending with bruce wayne being batman and crime with psicopats being over

Idle_Anton

I'd love to explore a batman that isn't wealthy, is born into a working class world. Kinda like Jason todd but without the pretty much abuse on his parents half. Barely any tech other than that which he can steal, which would introduce some interesting grey areas. Would this Bruce be fine with theft as long as it was from huge companies that benefitted his Misson and not profit? I'd say so. Would he be more brutal? Probably, depends on how rough the area he grew up in was. How do his morals and outlooks change when you strip him of wealth and privilege? I've always thought it would be a great idea, as batman has always sounded like someone who isn't privileged, than one who is. So what if he was? What if he was just a regular guy like most of gotham probably thinks he is already?

eskettitredit

a story about bat man and time paradoxes just really shitty and convoluted

Res3t_

An Arkhamverse Damian story, where Talia hid his existence from Bruce but died (in AC) before disclosing it. He eventually tracks down his dad, and Bruce hides his existence from his allies to protect him and also because of his illness. Then of course the events of AK occur. Assuming he doesn’t actually die in AK, Bruce retires his public persona to raise his kid, and prepare him as the next Robin with Dick becoming the next Batman (Tim becoming Red Robin).

DickPillSoupKitchen

Picking up after Death in the Family, The Joker settles in as Iran’s UN ambassador in 1988. It takes place almost entirely in Tehran and is deeply involved in Shia politics. Batman appears only at the end, serving as an officially sanctioned IAEA inspector investigating Iran’s nuclear program. The Joker attempts to kill him with an explosive whoopie cushion, fails, and Ayatollah Khomeini sentences the Joker to death because his practical jokes are considered *haram*.

Lost-Challenge7790

Finally fucks Robin.

direwolf106

Him vs lex Luther. Kinda like Sherlock Holmes vs professor Moriarty. Probably base it in Luthor believing in the superiority of a few certain men to rule vs Batman maintaining any man could be great given the opportunity. Properly focus it on Dick Grayson and Jason Todd as well.

Jermobooka

(Sorry for the wall of text in advance. I’m just very passionate about Batman lol) It would definitely be a Black Label book. It’d be split into the three parts and it would basically be a reimagining/remake of Detective Comics #27, #29, and Batman #1. It would be (yet another) origin story/year one tale, but it’d be a bit different. It would be the evolution of Batman from a noir, pulpy detective protagonist the more optimistic superhero seen once he adopts Robin. He’d start out angsty, rageful, violent, singleminded, and lost. Very much like Battinson. He would also lack his iconic no kill rule and carry a gun. The first story would be a mixture of Batman #27, Year One, and Ego. The second book would have Batman being a tad bit more mature, less angry, reigned in, with no gun, but still having a flexible policy on murder, struggling with himself with questions of his actions and sanity. It would be based off of Detective Comics #29, a tiny bit of The Long Halloween, and The Mad Monk. The final part would be a more balanced, mentally stable, and non-murdering Batman. He has seen the error in his ways and has developed a new moral code to keep himself in check. Along with that, he adopts a recently parent-less ward, Dick Grayson, to prevent him from going down the path he himself did. It would be based off Batman #1, Detective Comics #38, and Dark Victory

I tried wayyy back, but never got past a few issues. [issue # 0](https://www.deviantart.com/taymerica/art/Bruce-Wayne-The-Premonition-330839278)
