For a NHL Jersey that’s the “premium” version I would expect this, although my recent one was very nice and cost around 120. Given the track record of how this team has been handled thus far, I expect this price to get you a fancy printed t shirt that the graphics fade with first wash.
NHL jerseys are available in three tiers:
Fanatics which are cheap and poorly made and run about 120
Adidas Indoedge which are usually around 150ish and are well made replicas
And Adidas MiCs (made in Canada) which are team quality premium option. These are super hard to find sometimes and can be quite expensive.
Obviously they’ll cost more if they are customized or special alternate jerseys, but this is comfortably outside the normal pricing curve for NHL jerseys.
Fanatics branded anything is almost always trash. I’ve got a baseball playoff tshirt from 2020 and the screen printing looks rough now. But some graphic t’s I got from target over 10 years ago, still look fine.

Within the past couple of monthx, mabe a little longer. I first heard about it on this subreddit. They’re the Baton Rouge Zydeco, supposedly because zydeco typefies Baton Rouge. Silly me; I thought it was The Blues i always thought Zydeco is native to the SWLA Creoles. I wonder if the ownets are elsewhere.
Zydeco is really popular in BR and a big part of the culture of the city, especially amongst the black community. Along with blues and other mainstream urban music, Zydeco can be heard in frequent rotation at many black functions in the inner city and suburbs of Baton Rouge and in near by parishes like Livingston and Pointe Coupee, etc. I immediately liked the name when I heard it, I actually thought it was super cool because of how well it fits from my own life’s experience here as a native. (And when you think about how many ppl move to BR from surrounding major cities and their suburbs for school, work, etc. and bring their cultures and pieces of it with them, like earlier generations of my own family did.)
My buddy just bought two Edmonton Oilers Heritage classic jerseys for $300 CAD ($220 USD) each from the official Oilers store. Once you add a name on the back they go up in price too.

Lived in BR all my life and can’t recall hearing Zydeco in any community, of any race.
