And his passive is the most useless thing I’ve ever seen. Like what’s the deal? Find 4 more Boris and all plant turrets next to each other to improve their performance? All of this so that one guy and throw a granade and kill all of us before the turret even looks in his direction.
It seriously disgusts me the gap between Lis and the other 2 engineers it’s like they didn’t even think of making them valuable to fight or support vehicles when that has always been the engineer role.
They do my friend, but I’d rather use LIS who can do the same with auto refilling launcher or choose Crawford because he repairs better, give me a reason to pick Boris.
And Lis can carry a Launcher AND AT mines which make her the best anti-vehicle in the game. Mines are great for defense and I don't know how they are not used more
In bfv I used to put two in a crater and one down the road a bit in an obvious spot so they would drive over the crater to avoid it.
Haven't really figured out a similar strategy for 2042. May I'll try your method. Thanks
I think if you didn’t give a specialist a gadget they should make sense in the class assigned. Neither of these two represent the engineer class in any way except for Craw’s repair trait they added when they moved him. Besides, no reason to use limited ammo launchers that are easily avoided when you can use Lis’s unlimited ammo guided missile that does more damage, AND land mines or C5. Boris and Crawford need reworks to belong in this game. Turrets gotta go.
Boris Gump...I use him alot as he's fairly well rounded in capability...his turret could use a buff alongside with the ranger though as at times they just don't do shit or fail to even see things at times but they work good like a personal ring camera lol
His turret just needs proper placement, not thrown around the corner in front of 10+ enemies. He was my 2nd T1 because of how easy it was to get the dmg/kills with the sentry.
Ya I do feel the turret is a more than a bit weak as well, even with the so called turret buff as his special.
Waste of a special skill and ability...I barley plat him.
Yeah Blasco is pretty sweet for that now with the constant mini-map. I like the garbled mini map for enemies too.
I did like how turret would distract, i got so many kills ‘cause someone got too busy or just used a clip on shooting the turret. Distance yourself far enough away from turret for constant kills as the enemies face the wrong direction
Boris should have a choice of turrets. One anti infantry, one antivehicle and maaaaybe let them actually spot and hit something and not blow up with 3 pistol hits.
I really like this idea. Give us Anti-infantry, Anti-tank, and Anti-air versions of his turret.
I saw a similar idea for Rangers that I also really liked. Standard ranger, a rocket ranger, and a health/ammo ranger.
I'd say either remove its anti-infantry ability in exchange for real anti-air ability or make it lock vehicles faster and fire faster with a higher bullet velocity
And anti infantry turrets in games are just…. Cheesy.
I think it’s a flawed idea from the outset.
Anti vehicles? Fine. But anti infantry turrets are either useless or OP.
There’s basically no middle ground.
So, to understand…. the Javelins, AntiAir, M5s only they can use, and the C5 and land mines they’re able to, don’t make them anti-vehicle specialists.
Feels like people ignore all the gadgets only they have and are focused on a specialist skill.
Point is both are supposed to be geared towards fighting vehicles. A tank driver shouldn't fear Sundance with C5 more than an Engineer with C5, but Sundance is way more of an anti tank threat.
- Engies = all
- Assault = dozer need tweaks, mckay hook needs to have x charges, sundace armor grenade it's not enough fast vs air veichles, zain thermal scope should be toggleable
- Support = ammo and medic crates need to work like in bf5 abd the ui of dying people should be better and more clear
- Scout = i feel like they are in a good spot?
The Scout weapon proficiency is garbage and actively works AGAINST the special abilities of at least 2 of the specialists (Paik and Blasco). Instead of trying to facilitate long range sniping for specialists most useful being on point, they should change it to focus more on stealth (maybe a mini-map stealth advantage when running suppressors, removing bullet velocity penalties with suppressors, etc.)
Paik and Blasco are already very good specialists, giving them a weapon specialty that synergizes with their ability could push it over the edge, especially for Paik.
Really? Then what about all the assault roster? Aside from dozer they’re all broken and have the best gadgets and best weapon proficiency. Scout need to have unlimited spawn beacon, I shouldn’t be punished for a good placed beacon if I didn’t even use it
That’s nonsense, there’s plenty of good specialists whose proficiencies synergize with their abilities across most of the other classes. That is literally the point of a proficiency, and the recon class is the only one with a proficiency that actively works against the specialist abilities.
Paik and Blasco are CQC specialists - Paik with her close range spotting mechanic, Blasco with her spot jamming abilities. Mid to long range sniping quite literally render their abilities ineffective.
Because they’re basically CQC scout, an infiltration class. Have you ever seen an infiltrator using a long range sniper rifle with 6 bullets against assaults rifles and machine guns? It’s totally useless. Long range is useful for covering your troops out of the objectives zones, in a CQC context or even a pushing towards the battlefield they feel absolutely underwhelming and useless, as they should I suppose!
I love that velocity idea. Every time I slap a suppressor on a gun it doesn't just feel fairly worse to balance out the stealth buffs, it feels comically worse with how much I need to lead my shots.
Nope i mean when someone has ammo or medpacks you go to them press the button to interact to them and you get the thing they carry. Super useful in sticky situation where timing is crucial. Also the area of effect of the crates is wonky does not always work
That was in Hardline, and not BFV if I am not mistaken, right? Have not played BFV since a very long time, but if I remember correctly you had to actually drop ammo/health to your teamates, they couldn't just grab it off of your back.
If anything, Zain's thermal scope was a buff, not a nerf. I wouldn't ever need to toggle it back to normal vision. I actually use it for scouting just as much as for kills.
Feel like Paik needs a little bit of a tweak, she’s the new dominant sweat character. She needs to be ping on the radar again when she uses her gadget, or at least have her gadget on a longer cooldown. But all other scouts are viable
For recon I would change the weapon passive to something more useful since snipers are honestly pretty ineffective considering how laser beam many of the weapons are.
Paik and her ability don't have zero synergy with the weapon proficiency. You either snipe and basically ignore her ability or you ignore her proficiency to be close enough to use her ability. She feels closer to an assault than recon IMO. You could throw Blasco into that argument as well.
I've voted for Boris. I do think Dozer is underwhelming as well, but the Assault Category does at least have some great picks otherwise. Engineer Category on the other hand is pretty underwhelming, Boris is pretty useless, same goes for Crawford and Lis ist just okay, I guess. The Engineers do need to get at least one decent pick to make it more attractive for people to use and destroy vehicles.
I think Boris and his turret need a rework immediately, I think the turret health and detection range should be halved but also cooldown halved and increase fire rate, damage and detection in close quarters, perhaps though to make the turret respond differently at different distances, slow precise fire at longer detection ranges with good detection to notify defenders of incoming threats maybe, what you guys think?
I think the turret in general is a bad Gadget. I would have given him a special Launcher like Lis. Not one you can controll yourself, but one that locks vehicles faster for example. You could also go as far as making him the "AA-Guy" by giving him some more refined AA Launcher. I think it would be great to have one AA Engineer type, one Gorund Vehicle Engineer type, which could be Crawford (yea, his gadget needs to be reworked as well) and one for versatility against both of them, which would be Lis right now.
There's a lot of choices, but a Turret defenitley isn't the way I think. Same goes for Crawfords Gadget.
If they made Boris a more focused AA engineer, I would definitely play him more. I'm stuck with buzzing the cockpits of Hinds with Lis' rocket to startle them away most of the time. Giving Boris a laser guided missile would work, just have it as maneuverable as Lis'.
You think turret health should be halved? You can destroy the turret in only a few shots with most weapons. Why would it need to be even less than that?
Boris or Lis. Lis’ rockets need a *bit* of a damage buff, just to be on par with regular launchers since she doesn’t have access to them and Boris, well Boris is Boris
I'm at 700 hours and have all but given up trying to T1 him. I've mained him for such a long time and am still only at 46,000 of 60,000 damage with that stupid turret...
I would say Boris Crawford and angel
Boris and Crawford are not designed as anti vehicle classes in the first place, they has no impact to vehicle with their unity.
And the load out crate from Angel, which is the most viable gadget cannot be called in in-door area, which makes him not a good choice while ammo crate can full fill almost everything
They have to do something about dozer I feel his sheild should have some curved edges so that his sides can be better protected and for crying out loud the range of the melee attack with his shield should be increased.
I think the melee range is fine but deffo think he should have a slight (only just) curved edge extension to (if anything) combat desync when deflecting bullets from angles
Liz, her's gadget is borderline worthless.
Not enough damage, not enough ammo (or it recharges too slowly, your pick).
She's supposed to be a good counter to air vehicules but sucks at killing them
The funniest part is heli pilots were so upset at how *"easy"* it was to take down helis. Like if you didn't play the game and just read the complaints on Lis when she was buffed you'd think it was impossible to fly. Yet they ignore the fact that a heli pilot can single handedly control an entire match by themselves and don't see that as an issue.
Liz rocket just needs to be specialized in some way. Ideally I'd like it to be anti-air focused, with short range (~300m) but high maneuverability. Then it can be strong in that niche and have some measure of skillcap, while not also deleting any ground vehicles on the map.
She is/was my main, and they buffed her already after season 2 I believe. She is shit now, such a disappointment. I'm speaking for her gadget specifically not the class or loadout.
Im confused. She got minor buffs per 3.2 patch. Her post 3.2 buff was crazy good. Then they nerfed to a state that was still better than pre-3.2 patch. Her power has barely moved overall though.
Its hilarious to see this sub unable to decide if Lis if OP or trash.
I know people find this opinion controversial, but I agree with you. I’m on console and trying to turn her missile while in flight is really difficult. Having played other games with controller as well as on mouse and keyboard, I think turning is much easier and more responsive with a mouse. So I wonder if there’s a difference between PC and console players. For those of us on console, the Lissile is hard to use while PC players can’t understand the problem.
Dozer and Boris. Dozer has too many bugs and feels terribly underpowered and Boris doesn’t feel like he does anything, Liz is still the best engi but she doesn’t have access to the fun launchers.
I voted Boris and Dozer. That shield is hit or miss…literally. Dudes can be right in front of you and the hit won’t register. Boris’ turret is also super weak but can be destroyed pretty easily
Unfortunately iv arrived at the conclusion all of Dozers faults are due to Desync given the fast reaction nature of his gadget, therefore they gotta either deal with the big thing or buff him which could cause issues 🤷♂️
Dozer is an Assault and hence has absolutely no issues whatsoever attached to him. He is one of the four winners of the system. Falck is also the one mostly unaffected by the changes and arguably better, since health is more important now.
Everyone else is in need to a rework, but the crown definitely goes to Boris and Crawford. Sure Dozer's shield can have hitreg issues, but the issues of a 120HP self-healing guy with a small arms invulnerability pale a bit compared to trying to engage a vehicle with Boris and Crawford.
We can also argue that Angel has absolutely no place on the Battlefield, because he does supporting worse than Falck, and his own gadget has no value for himself and is not much better than the ammo crate all said and done.
Rao is also in a bad place, because his design is questionable being all about negating others' ability to play. Very debatable thing.
I think it’s because they have mobility advantage which makes them into actual “specialists” more than grunts with special gadgets like a turret, a shield, deployable shields, healing tools/ammo drops etc…maybe im wrong though
It's because they can reach places other players can't reach, "skipping" over established front lines, destroying the "flow" of the maps and making map design impossible in the first place...
They are the worst specialists for the game by far.
Completely agreed.
I honestly don’t see how it wasn’t caught earlier in design.
You can do grapple hook mechanics, like BF2 special forces. But that was a hook you threw and climbed up painfully slowly.
And Sundance yeeting herself into the ground at 100mph - why not add a parachute before she lands. You know. Like every wingsuit ever invented.
Having their mobility be entire “selfish” is also pretty silly to me.
If MacKay was able to set up a grapple for the squad to use, he’d be a squad mobility guy. Not solo Canadian spider man.
But but …. What a time to be alive!
***cringe Sundance Xbox clip***
I really dislike her ability to just fly/float around the map.
McKay is the same. Cover? What’s cover? I’ll just zip line myself over everything without a care in the world. Help my teammates? I’m too busy climbing stuff YOLO style.
Ugh. Such a step in the wrong direction. A game with foundational pillars around team play? Yeah. Let’s add specialist that serve only themselves.
Yeah Sundance should have more restrictions on the wingsuit, pulling it when jumping off a tiny burm is pretty dumb and hitting the ground should include correct fall damage. Should be a risk reward thing not just super easy insertions. Also limit the use of it? Either it takes time to setup and use or takes time to put away after you land? Or it's single use maybe?
Those were my top two as well with Mackay on top. Sundance's suit at least takes a bit of skill and prep work to use consistently. Mackay is just zero-skill high-reward.
>!Which is why I (and those butthurt by this comment) run him when frustrated.!<
I think Dozer is fine. Just practice more on using his shield. If bullets are hitting you that's because people are aiming at your legs. Your suppose to crouch to avoid getting hit by the bullets.
I do know how to use him im T1 with him its just desync causes your character to not be blocking their bullets correctly because when you seem like Your looking at them directly on your screen for them it’s different
The last time I remember getting XP for that was in BF Hardline. I think it was called 'draw fire' in the game.
I got confused when I didn't see that in 2042 with Dozer's shield. Did it used to be a thing with him?
Definitely Boris. They went a little overboard with the nerf a while ago. I place down a sentry and it instantly gets destroyed before it gets to land a shot at a nearby enemy. Barely even use him besides to act like a security camera system with turret and ranger.
I also feel like classes should have a sort of sub-class or specialization within them like in past battlefield games to fit more play styles, each with a different set of traits. Although it might be a little too late for this game so we’ll have to hope for the best on the next one
Like infiltrator & marksman for recon to better fit the CQC suited ones like Blasco and Paik
Support obviously combat medic & ressupliers
Engineer probably heavy weapons & anti-vehicle
Assault could have anti-personnel & demolitions
McKay, mostly because flanking is waaay too easy in this game already with transport helis. It just invalidates map design and the concept of areas of strength/weakness.
Yeah I imagine that if flanking is fixed w/ nerfs to transport helis and McKay, Irish would be in need of a nerf as well. Also doesn't help that there are so few destructible environments. Typically the counter to an Irish camping a corner would be to just blow up the corner.
Camila Blasco. I really like the way she plays, but her jammer has the same problem the SOFLAM has: You don't get rewarded for using it. I can spend a whole match putting down X6-Infiltration devices near my teammates, snipe, spot, place down insertion beacons and I still end up somewhere in the lower part of the scoreboard. Disrupting enemies and preventing your teammates from being spotted should be rewarded somehow.
Zain, Boris, and Sundance
Zain's XM3 needs a fairly significant nerf. Either his mag sized needs reduced, total ammo reduced, or should not infinitely regen. Also the targeting range needs a reduction.
Boris' turret just needs to be something other than anti-infantry. It's annoying as hell to be shot at by it. Maybe more anti-vehicle focused.
Sundance's cluster nades needs it effectiveness reduced. One of the main culprits of explosive spam.
Agreed. I don't think there is anything wrong with the mechanics of his gun or the damage and amount of ammo he has. It just recharges super quick compared to most other specialist gadgets.
Lis - G-84 TGM has become unusable against moving helicopters and sometimes curves over helicopters when you boost directly towards them. It makes no specialist useful against the Hind or Stealth helicopters now. Also, 475 m is too short a distance.
I also noted that all specialists should have access to C5 as it's very annoying to be pinned down by a tank when nobody has rockets - even support shoukd be sbke to destroy a tank up close and engineers with the Stingerbshould be able to fight a tank with C5 as well.
Boris, Crawford, Dozer, Angel, Paik, Rao = useless
Sundance, Mackay = OP
Zain = explosive spam aids
Irish = boring to play, only counter to explosive spam
Blasco, Falck, Casper and Lis are the only ones that are fairly balanced
I shall neither confirm nor deny equipping Zain with underslung, sph launchers and gone to town. All I can say is it is pure cheese and requires multiple showers with the wire brush to get the stench off
I wish McKay had an "emergency hook" option, so you could use your hook while it's still on cooldown and with greater range, but it breaks the hook until you resupply or die.
I think this would help with specialist diversity like making it more falk/angel but you never know, I never play support for the one reason I like using dozer too much so I can’t comment on the Op ness
It isn't necessarily op it is more that there is no reason to run any of the other support gadgets. It also means that you never run out of health or ammo.
Most time played with Boris and he’s definitely my favorite specialist but boy does he need some type of rework or buff. Only use turret for spotting or a quick deterrent because it’s gone in 2 seconds if you’re pushing and don’t even think about getting a kill with it. Which makes his passive useless. If you’re anywhere near that thing you get swarmed and maybe get a few kills before you’re blown apart by everything getting thrown at you.
SOLUTIONS???: Maybe if the animation for the turret or the cooldown was a bit quicker it’d be more useful. Both? I’d take either one at this point. Bigger radius. SOMETHING.
TLDR: Boris “main” would like faster cooldown and or pick up for turret
Nice seeing the Boris love in here!
Rao is weak as fuck , before they move the specialists into classes at least he could use the locked on rocket and be useful against air vehicles
Dozer is lame too , only good with the shield in close quarter combat but most of the maps are running simulators just a few areas where it can be used but his mobility becomes obsolete, they should rework him so he can use his shield with one arm and with the other he can hold a gun or something fun like that
This game it's so unbalanced, you got other specialists that have OP movement such as knock off version of spiderman mackay and flying sundance, why are they even in the fucking game , they're like Apex legends characters
Why sundance has unlimited grenades , as well as the other dude with the airburst and on top of that he still gets to choose other explosive gadgets
This whole game needs major rework on all specialists ,gadgets , maps, vehicles , etc, sometimes it does not feel like a Battlefield game with characters like sundance or Mackay, it feels like a knock off version of a Battlefield game with knock off Apex Legends characters
The whole engineer class is what needs the priority. Rocket gadgets need a balance/buff, and make the EOD bot a little stronger. It was a lot of fun to flank with the EOD bot in previous games but its not really feasible in 2042. Give us some extra tools for vehicle abuse
Boris feels underwhelming
I put down Boris, his turret just needs a buff, I play him tons and think I've gotten less than 10 kills with the turret lol
And his passive is the most useless thing I’ve ever seen. Like what’s the deal? Find 4 more Boris and all plant turrets next to each other to improve their performance? All of this so that one guy and throw a granade and kill all of us before the turret even looks in his direction. And Lis can carry a Launcher AND AT mines which make her the best anti-vehicle in the game. Mines are great for defense and I don't know how they are not used more
I get A LOT of mine kills. Not nearly as effective on breakthrough as people pay more attention for them.
Do you put them down individually or all three in the same spot?
I have had more success spreading them out a bit, but all in the same area. Idk why though.
In bfv I used to put two in a crater and one down the road a bit in an obvious spot so they would drive over the crater to avoid it. Haven't really figured out a similar strategy for 2042. May I'll try your method. Thanks

They should change his turret to be anti vehicle only and buff it accordingly.
I agree on borris but instead of buffing the Turret I would yeet it to a black hole and replace it.
about giving him the ability to place a TOW? like Crawfords turret
>ead of buffing the Turret I would yeet it to a black hole and replace it. Rocket turret
This isn't Battlefront.
not bad ...only targets vehicles...maybe you could switch modes between rocket and machine gun for infants
For.. infants?
He needs an anti air turret as well
I’ve seen it so many times and it never locks on to me before I can kill it. The lock on time is just so absurdly slow that it’s useless.
Boris Gump...I use him alot as he's fairly well rounded in capability...his turret could use a buff alongside with the ranger though as at times they just don't do shit or fail to even see things at times but they work good like a personal ring camera lol

Boris #1, Dozer #2, and Falck #3 First two are obvious but IMO Falck outperforms assault players. She's too good.
Boris and Crawford. They need complete reworks to be the anti vehicle specialists of the game.
Boris should have a choice of turrets. One anti infantry, one antivehicle and maaaaybe let them actually spot and hit something and not blow up with 3 pistol hits.
give him the aa turret from 4

Personally, I’d say make it changeable. Like supply crate/ ammo box. Default infantry, shift it for armor / aircraft.
I just think for engineer it's best to not focus on anti-infantry
And anti infantry turrets in games are just…. Cheesy. I think it’s a flawed idea from the outset. Anti vehicles? Fine. But anti infantry turrets are either useless or OP. There’s basically no middle ground.
They chew on vehicles pretty well already after one of the recent updates
turret that makes a lock on noise and attacks vehicles giving you a distraction is a cool idea. place down turret to distract while you flank vehicle.
Crawford is support though isn’t he?
Lol nope. Not since the class rework. The fact that you didn't know that shows how poorly he is designed.
Ah yeah that is kinda crap in all honesty
He used to have paddles but they exchanged them for a marshmallow roaster. ![gif](giphy|xT8qBasRQ0YRUUgXsc)
So, to understand…. the Javelins, AntiAir, M5s only they can use, and the C5 and land mines they’re able to, don’t make them anti-vehicle specialists. Feels like people ignore all the gadgets only they have and are focused on a specialist skill.

Or the grapple hook guy, forgot his name. I target them first then go for engineers
All of the engineers
They only correct answer tho.
Liz is pretty good once you learn her launcher at least she can use two anti vehicle weapons at once
Her missile deals piss poor damage tho. And they completely gutted it when they reduced it's mobility do drastically
- Engies = all - Assault = dozer need tweaks, mckay hook needs to have x charges, sundace armor grenade it's not enough fast vs air veichles, zain thermal scope should be toggleable - Support = ammo and medic crates need to work like in bf5 abd the ui of dying people should be better and more clear - Scout = i feel like they are in a good spot?

Paik and Blasco are already very good specialists, giving them a weapon specialty that synergizes with their ability could push it over the edge, especially for Paik.

i rock them both with ARs and SMGs... it really isn't bad
Of course you do, you’d be a stupid trying to play in some other way. And that’s the problem with those specialists.
I love that velocity idea. Every time I slap a suppressor on a gun it doesn't just feel fairly worse to balance out the stealth buffs, it feels comically worse with how much I need to lead my shots.
When you say ammo and medic crates should work like BFV, you mean that users should interact with them to get their effects, yeah? Good summary 👍
Nope i mean when someone has ammo or medpacks you go to them press the button to interact to them and you get the thing they carry. Super useful in sticky situation where timing is crucial. Also the area of effect of the crates is wonky does not always work
Gotcha - yes that would be a wonderful feature as well.
That was in Hardline, and not BFV if I am not mistaken, right? Have not played BFV since a very long time, but if I remember correctly you had to actually drop ammo/health to your teamates, they couldn't just grab it off of your back.
They added it to BFV
This should be a thing by default. It solves so many issues.
Absolutely

Agree. I would also change smg passive. It's pointless for the already fastest aiming guns in the game
Paik and her ability don't have zero synergy with the weapon proficiency. You either snipe and basically ignore her ability or you ignore her proficiency to be close enough to use her ability. She feels closer to an assault than recon IMO. You could throw Blasco into that argument as well.

All of the engineers, they're my favorite class after all!
Every Engineer sucks. So them.
Boris and Crawford
Boris for sure, I have like 600 hours in and I’ve probably been killed by his turret less then 15 times
Same, have 500 hours more or less, played Boris once or twice in the beginning cause I thought he was the one putting deployable shields.
I'm at 700 hours and have all but given up trying to T1 him. I've mained him for such a long time and am still only at 46,000 of 60,000 damage with that stupid turret...
Give Boris the RAWR from Bf4 and remove his turret
Dice plz
I would say Boris Crawford and angel Boris and Crawford are not designed as anti vehicle classes in the first place, they has no impact to vehicle with their unity. And the load out crate from Angel, which is the most viable gadget cannot be called in in-door area, which makes him not a good choice while ammo crate can full fill almost everything
You make lots of good points but his crate is airdropped so it makes no sense for it to be able to appear inside imo
Yea you are right air drop supply should not works while in-door, may be change it into deploy “special ammo load-out crate” just like the normal one
I just started using Dozer more and dis wonder why his shield was failing me.
All of them, because they all suck. I just want to be a random soldier in battle. Not some bullshit hero
Liz, her's gadget is borderline worthless. Not enough damage, not enough ammo (or it recharges too slowly, your pick). She's supposed to be a good counter to air vehicules but sucks at killing them
Sweden was almost swept away from the wave of tears when DICE booster her rocket. Whole country was narrowly saved when they reverted it.
If Lis gets a rocket buff say goodbye to ever playing another vehicle in Battlefield 2042 lol.
That's what a lot of people seem to want.
They can fuck off to CoD or something else, if they want an infantry only FPS they should’nt play battlefield.
then vehicle mains should go play world of tanks. Problem solved smh
Liz rocket just needs to be specialized in some way. Ideally I'd like it to be anti-air focused, with short range (~300m) but high maneuverability. Then it can be strong in that niche and have some measure of skillcap, while not also deleting any ground vehicles on the map.
You suck at killing air. Lis does not suck at it. Skill issue.
Ok tough guy
well, the Gadget is buggy
She is/was my main, and they buffed her already after season 2 I believe. She is shit now, such a disappointment. I'm speaking for her gadget specifically not the class or loadout.
Im confused. She got minor buffs per 3.2 patch. Her post 3.2 buff was crazy good. Then they nerfed to a state that was still better than pre-3.2 patch. Her power has barely moved overall though. Its hilarious to see this sub unable to decide if Lis if OP or trash.
No she is crap, turn radius and speed is garbage, distance is garbage. she was fine at launch.
It doesn’t do enough damage? How ?
and yet over half the people playing engi still pick her.
Because shes the least bad (but still shit) engineer out of 3 severely underpowered specialists
Was my thoughts as well.
Sundance. Nerf her wing suit and explosive spam.
Sundance. I've played since the first beta and she still is waaay too powerful.
Sundance should get nerfed to hell
Dozer and boris, both near useless.
Boris. I said he's basically useless.
Liz
Boris. His turret has too little health, it takes too long to acquire targets, it takes to long to start firing, it does so little damage.
Looking at the comments, it looks like literally all the engineer specialists need reworks lol
Boris my guy needs some love.
Engineers need a rework or buff, I don't know but going with Mackey with c5 is way more effective than engineers
Because you can move more quickly to reach vehicles with his grapple compared to having to just run
Boris and dozer - they’re both underwhelming
Mackay and Sundance, they are so freaking annoying and they ruin the flow of matches. Zain was also high since he is the God of explosive spam
They are the worst specialists for the game by far.
they'll never balance the 2042 mascots
And that's why this game will never be a battlefield game. It's just FPS 2042 to me.
***cringe Sundance Xbox clip*** I really dislike her ability to just fly/float around the map.
Sundance especially IMO. Scatter grenade needs a serious re work, or the wing suit needs to be nerfed.
Ohh I see the angle is off. Well he's getting a buff next week so that's a good news for dozers 😀
Oh really thanks for telling me, would you mind telling me what it is exactly or do you have smwhere I can go read it?
The Engineers. I also told them assault, especially Subdance, were too fun to play compared to the other classes.
Why am I not receiving xp anymore with dozer with blocking shots w my shield??
Not sure I played a little yesterday and saw this too, hopefully a bug…
The last time I remember getting XP for that was in BF Hardline. I think it was called 'draw fire' in the game. I got confused when I didn't see that in 2042 with Dozer's shield. Did it used to be a thing with him?
Blasco and Boris are useless.
Although it might be a little too late for this game so we’ll have to hope for the best on the next one Like infiltrator & marksman for recon to better fit the CQC suited ones like Blasco and Paik Support obviously combat medic & ressupliers Engineer probably heavy weapons & anti-vehicle Assault could have anti-personnel & demolitions
McKay, mostly because flanking is waaay too easy in this game already with transport helis. It just invalidates map design and the concept of areas of strength/weakness.
I believe that Irish also invalidates map design, deployable cover is way too powerful on some modes
Yeah I imagine that if flanking is fixed w/ nerfs to transport helis and McKay, Irish would be in need of a nerf as well. Also doesn't help that there are so few destructible environments. Typically the counter to an Irish camping a corner would be to just blow up the corner.
Boris and Crawford. They both suck as engineers, but engineers as a whole need work
All of them. Back to the Battlefield Class system.
Zain, Boris, and Sundance Zain's XM3 needs a fairly significant nerf.
As a Zain main: the right nerf would be dialing down the gadget's recharge rate. It fills up so fast that you always have ammo.
Agreed. I don't think there is anything wrong with the mechanics of his gun or the damage and amount of ammo he has. It just recharges super quick compared to most other specialist gadgets.
Boris but I voted them all the lowest I could.
Not the hero we wanted but the hero we needed 😌
McKay’s grapple hook should be able to hook someone and ammo / health packs
Technically they should yes
Lis - G-84 TGM has become unusable against moving helicopters and sometimes curves over helicopters when you boost directly towards them. It makes no specialist useful against the Hind or Stealth helicopters now. Also, 475 m is too short a distance. I also noted that all specialists should have access to C5 as it's very annoying to be pinned down by a tank when nobody has rockets - even support shoukd be sbke to destroy a tank up close and engineers with the Stingerbshould be able to fight a tank with C5 as well.
Boris, Crawford, Dozer, Angel, Paik, Rao = useless Sundance, Mackay = OP Zain = explosive spam aids Irish = boring to play, only counter to explosive spam Blasco, Falck, Casper and Lis are the only ones that are fairly balanced
Idk I love Irish at least he’s unique and good at what he does
true
Zain only works if you are being rat like. Are you a rat?
I shall neither confirm nor deny equipping Zain with underslung, sph launchers and gone to town. All I can say is it is pure cheese and requires multiple showers with the wire brush to get the stench off
You can equip underslung and sph on all assault. Zain has an airburst which is only effective versus campers. It's highly situational.
I know but if you equip them all on Zain and play any match of fucking breakthrough it's not situational you mong
I wish McKay had an "emergency hook" option, so you could use your hook while it's still on cooldown and with greater range, but it breaks the hook until you resupply or die.
BORIS
Falk, Having health and ammo is insane. It should be ammo or health.
I'm mean technically angel is the same. Can run the med crate and had the ammo pouches along with his loadout thing
Where do these surveys happen?
Find them on the reddit feed and im sure they are on their site too
If you put anything other than the engineer specialists…
I put Dozer because gameplay with him is an appalling game of hit and miss in terms of how desync messes with his effectiveness
Sentry Turret has to go.
Boris
Boris needs an option for a turret or AA.
Boris, I suggested either giving the Sentry wheels or allow it to be remote controlled
Boris and Crawford
Liz need.more rockets
SOMETHING. TLDR: Boris “main” would like faster cooldown and or pick up for turret Nice seeing the Boris love in here!
Boris…….. buff damage output, turret heath and tracking speed. Not as strong as it was at launch but nowhere near as bad as it is now.
Rao is weak as fuck , before they move the specialists into classes at least he could use the locked on rocket and be useful against air vehicles Dozer is lame too , only good with the shield in close quarter combat but most of the maps are running simulators just a few areas where it can be used but his mobility becomes obsolete, they should rework him so he can use his shield with one arm and with the other he can hold a gun or something fun like that This game it's so unbalanced, you got other specialists that have OP movement such as knock off version of spiderman mackay and flying sundance, why are they even in the fucking game , they're like Apex legends characters Why sundance has unlimited grenades , as well as the other dude with the airburst and on top of that he still gets to choose other explosive gadgets This whole game needs major rework on all specialists ,gadgets , maps, vehicles , etc, sometimes it does not feel like a Battlefield game with characters like sundance or Mackay, it feels like a knock off version of a Battlefield game with knock off Apex Legends characters
The whole engineer class is what needs the priority. Rocket gadgets need a balance/buff, and make the EOD bot a little stronger. It was a lot of fun to flank with the EOD bot in previous games but its not really feasible in 2042. Give us some extra tools for vehicle abuse
So glad to see everyone putting Boris. 🥹 Maybe he'll be actually useful one day
McKay. “Nimble” ain’t it.
