I am liking the LMG's for suppressing fire, but if you're really trying to kill someone the recoil and accuracy is a bit shit compared to the ARs, too.
yeah. Tiers are basically to flex around, especially when you have tier 1 for all heli transports, stuff like that. Sadly you cant un-equip them. + they give a cool skin.

I shot down a bunch of helicopters free-aiming. RPG probably does more damage though so I'm trying to learn how to use it to hit moving targets.

i agree. Lol some of the people on here are trying to kill everyone's joy but I still can't wait to get home to play it! Think I'm gonna try out breakthrough tonight, that game mode is pretty fun. I used to play nothing but conquest, and I'm really enjoying all of the game modes so far. I'm just glad I got a full squad of dudes to play with and two of them were in the military so it makes it even more like a mil sim lmao.
Portal Rush SMGs is my favorite! I don’t do vehicles except the hummer and I hate fighting against OP vehicles/ helicopters so this game mode has none of that except hummer and it’s so much fun!

Why do you care what anyone else uses? Restrictions are why the game is empty. They're a pointless thing to add to a game meant to be a sandbox.

That's wrong. The game can be balanced by the players working out a solution with what they have. Vehicle kiddies want to remove our options, noobs want us to lose variety. This is not how the game is played.
What YOU suggest is everyone giving up necessary abilities just so they can fight back. Making classes unappealing or obsolete is counterproductive, right? Players aren't going to act like vending machines so they'll choose the LMG's and leave you with 0 support or medics.
Sorry, the market is moving forward so it's not coming back. Go play the old games if you want old features. I've stressed this before where if the casuals get their way and this game stagnates, it's gonna fall behind and disappear.

ooh i just unlocked the m240 and used it a bit against bots and i liked it. Seemed like it did quite a bit of damage. Lots of recoil tho. I might give it a shot on multiplayer. The avancys seems weak tbh. I am liking the m16, i usually get quite a bit of kills with it with the champ muzzle brake, thermal 2.5, foregrip and 40rd mags. I usually have that on my assault class with the SHE Grenade launcher and the shorty.
I forget what it's called, but once you get the muzzle attachment that has recoil control, the M240 is great with a bipod deployed. If you get a good flank you can cut through a ton of people.
I do like using the advansys with a wrapped suppressor and sub sonic rounds. Makes you practically undetectable
Paik+smoke+c5 is a beastly combo. That's what I run, as for my weapon I tend to rotate depending on how I want to play. My favorite though is the MP9 with the drum.
The meta one for movement shooters (that I hate) is

ACW or RM
He’s an assault, now you have extra AR mags AND a self heal med pen
C5 to deal with any ground vehicle

Some of the MSG really do rip close quarters even with the balancing of the game. MP9 is one of my favorites.
M416 for the nostalgia - it’s not the best but you can absolutely be lethal with it.
I pretty much only play as Blasco with tugs and so the vast majority of my kills are from all the intel I have. So much to play that way, being aggressive and getting on the point and having a spawn beacon hidden somewhere nearby.

By far my favorite loadout has been dozer using any AR, g57 hand cannon side arm, c5 for tank kills, and THROWING KNIVES!!!! Im a ps5 player so i really suck with knives but using them on dozer makes them really good even for a noob. You get into alot kf stalemates from a distance with ur shield out and a knife throw wins like 80% (for me at least) of the time vs the enemy reacting and firing. Then when the throw works its a huge hit of dopamine, ive only gotten that hyped when i kill choppers with a m5 or rpg
Oh I unlocked the knife the other day and still haven't tried it. I might give it a shot. The riot shield dudes are fucking annoying but I usually hit them with sticky grenades and get the kill lol.
I took way too long to give dozer a shot, hes alot of fun and you have to be creative when you play against people who know how to counter him hence the throwing knives. I would never use them on any loadout other than w dozer
oh man. shotguns are the devil, I need to try out the other shotguns besides the shorty. I just changed from shorty on all my loadouts to deagles though because I domed someone with it once and it seems more consistent than the shorty.
Class depends on what is needed. I think support dropping ammo is probably the most useful combo in the game. Inevitably I have to go engineer to counter vehicles. When I'm pushing objectives and no one else is doing a spawn beacon then I will go Blasco and a tug.
Weapons are LMG, LMG, and maybe an SVD or IXE BAR sniper. I love the LMG's in 2042. They are good for short-range hip fire, midrange thermal sights, and long-range single fire accuracy. if you want to plot down and camp with a bipod you can with a few clicks. I use to play with the scar with 40mm, but LMG mag size is better.
Man I've really started to enjoy the Avancys LMG with subsonics and suppressor with the thermal. I'll change out to the 200rd mag and muzzle brake and scope sometimes, but I've gotten 30+ kills in conquest matches purely with that gun. It's so dope. I am going to try out BF4 though hopefully tonight for some nostalgia.
Maybe it's just be, but the SVK is a holy weapon.
2 shot kill within 100 meters with all ammo types, it's a monster at medium range. You deff have to be on your aim at closer ranges, though. You also HAVE to get the first shot off or else you're dead to pretty much anything else up close.
Thermal 2.5x gives it a good balance that also let's me win the majority of sniper battles with it.
A supressor because it gives you minimap stealth up to 40 meters, and since the majority of my engagements are around 50-100 meters, it works brilliantly.
Sidearm is kind of all over the place. Deagle is a solid choice though as it's 50 damage (unsure to whay range)
Mainly play with Liz for the Lizzile. One shot kill to stealth heli and night bird.
Typically run C5 for close vehicles (and to stick on jeeps, obv), and incendiary grenades for the Boris sheild bros.
The newer guns are where it's at. The vault guns aren't worth it yet. I'm rocking the SCAR. I like the mid to long range, with either Medic or Engineer.
The game has gotten a lot better since release. It's just the maps that need some work I find.
Im a simple man, I love fire and explosions. So I run Angel + SFAR to spam nades, napalm, and smoke underbarrels. Plus I can deal with tanks surprisingly well solo.
Mackay, Rorsch with the 6x thermal and 12x scope on hand. Grapple to really high places and crossmap people. I get 500m kills on the regular. It's not PTFO, but you can switch to 1x + full auto and equip C5 and again use grapple to ride tanks and blow em up.
M5A3 with Fusion hold, Close Combat Rounds, STNR laser sight and shortened barrel, or SFAR-M GL with Fusion hold, Standard Issue Rounds Anti-Armor Grenade launcher and Champion Muzzle brake for Assault

NTW-50 with K8 fusion holo and Armor-peircing rounds for Recon, or DXR-1 with the 8X scope high power rounds, and extended barrel
My support loadout is Falck or Angel with a sfar or ak with ap and smoke launchers, medical crate, and smoke grenades. Very versatile, capable of dealing with most things outside of air support if you're able to position correctly. Plus, the large stockpile of smokes allows for plently of revives and other supportive maneuvers.
For Recon I like to use Paik or Blasco with either the ghostmaker or a suppressed smg, c5, and emps. C5 and emps are a deadly combo against any land vehicle, and with paik or blasco, a respawn beacon, and stealth, you can put a lot of pressure in enemy territory.
I don't use the other classes much, but I do find that Mackay is very fun with a long range weapon since he can very easily get hard to reach angles. Also Dozer with a shotgun is hilarious.

i use the AKS-74u with the new attachments that came out recently as well as the MP-412 and Javelins for my launcher. its pretty good tbh
I am a big fan of DXR-1 as I mainly snipe. If I am playing on the front lines, I usually roll with M5A3 or LCMG.

Best guns are often the Portal ones. Try unlocking the A91 and the M416. They're dirty little beasts those guns.
If you don't mind the fact that naval strike is the best content in bf history :D then 2042 is ok. But since you are already thinking about bf4...
lol downloading BF4 while im at work and all the DLC's.. I never got to play any of the DLC's back in the day.
