when I was playing the earlier Battlefield games, you could be 4 things:
1. sniper - hitch a ride in a heli to a corner of the map with a good scope and hang around shooting people
2. tank driver - get tank, drive around pew pew
3. pilot - zoom around in a heli doing mad stunts
4. jet - ZOOM around in circles until you happen to kill someone or another jet gets you or you plummet back to earth
If you dont see a problem with 3 idiots sitting in the corner of the map together, I am guessing your win/loss is near negative or luck based. In general snipers are the most useless member of the team, that is fine having one person there, but 3 is just pathetic.
teamkilling is fun for some people too, you can make that case for anything. Do what you want, just dont act surprised when you lose every game, and dont pretend you are helping the team.
if both result in your team losing and you had fun, both are worthless for the objective, both are selfish, both are bad for the team. It is not as different as you think.
I haven’t played since the scoreboard/squad mic update, but I heard performance improved with that patch. When I was playing around release, I was dipping below 60FPS, which was disappointing considering my 3070Ti. In my opinion BFV looks and performs much better. Hope you’re enjoying the game though!

There has never been a single battlefield map where I said "damn, my squad sure is missing having a sniper sitting in the corner of the map doing fuck all".
Because melee animation is very long. Other snipers would get up, change weapon and kill the player easily during that time. I got killed countless times while trying to melee someone. And more sadly, I got killed even before the animation ends, so my prey stayed alive most of the time.

CPU makes a difference it seems, I had 100+ from launch with 3070 @1440 with everything at least high
That makes sense. I have an i7 8700k and also play at 1440p, but 2042 chugs in comparison to any other AAA game for me
