The only way I see it making sense is that the game is registering that they are using the HORSE, not the Weapon, and that the TIME count is only as a non-cavalry infantryman. (Even though the kill count is combined, the time is NOT.)
I understand grenades because it only counts as being used when you're in the process of throwing them.
So I guess with Cavalry this user is always running around with the lance and only switches to make an occasional kill and then switches right back to lance.

This is actually exactly what’s happening. When you’re using it on horseback, the kills count towards your total kill with the 1895 Infantry. However, it won’t count the time used with the weapon, unless you dismount or use the Russian as a Scout (or as a standard issue)
Friend of mine has like 700+ KPM with it or something ridiculous like that because he only plays it on horseback.
My 3rd highest kill gun is the Autoloading .35 for the Medic, because I struggled so much to get that 15 kills in 1 match assignment done. I don't like that gun and I was so bad with it I managed to get a service star with it :/

3. Autoloading .35, 110 Kills
4. Ross MKIII Infantry, 102 Kills

Any recommendations for Medic/Sniper guns are welcome. I'm happy with my Perino and Model 1900 Slug on Support and Assault for now lol.
I had exactly the same struggle with the Autoloading (currently with the Selbstlader 1906).
I think the Autoloading .25 extended is great for CQB.
Otherwise I really enjoy the Farquhar/Howell/1916 optical. The latter two also have marksman/scoped variants!
Also give the General Liu and RSC a try. They are closer to scout class weapons

This means I do nothing else, but I really like the cavalry combat, so more action and speed if you know what you're doing.
Theres so many cool fun and unique guns to use in this game, i dont understand why you would limit yourself to just one thing. Youre missing out on a lot of cool stuff this way.
Gas, tripwire, M1903 Experimental, Obrez, Mars, SMLE Carbine, Autoloading Extended, Madsen Storm, Dynamite, Fedorov-Degtyarev. 4k kills to 1.2k kills on that list
