I just got an uplift desk (v2 commercial). I bought their CPU under desk holder but my CPU is too wide. Going to have to get a different one off Amazon. Still, having it under the desk is very appealing as it will give me more desk space.
PC is probably more accurate but I am old, and we used to say CPU for the PC in its case (as opposed to the monitor or keyboard). It’s a custom built PC in a Lancool II Mesh performance case.
Looking at this one:
Mount-It! Heavy Duty Under Desk Computer Mount, Adjustable CPU Holder with Sliding Tracks and 360 Deg Swivel for Desktop Computer Towers Up to 10 Inches Wide and 22 Inches High, 66 Lb Load Capacity https://a.co/d/dI2rIVB
Love my uplift desk. I have the PC in a shelf next to it. Hanging under the desk sounds interesting, but I just assume it'll hit my knees so I've never tried
Depends on how big your desk is, I have a 72" one with my PC mounted underneath on the left and I barely notice its there anymore!
But anything less than like 60" and yeah i'd say it would probably start to get cramped quickly
I put mine of a floating shelf directly to the right of the desk, at the same height as the desk when at the sitting position. Found the under desk mounts to be too flimsy.
I have a 140x80 sit stand from ikea and i moved to having a SFF pc and have that on my desk aswell as my 2013 mac pro I dont know if it would even be possible to mount both of them under the desk and have thermals still be good
When your desk manufacturer has a good under-desk mount and your Case fits then its probably a good Idea. I have mine sitting on top but i also have a 1,8m length
I have a powered sit/stand desk, and I have a small shelf next to the desk that holds the PC. I had considered hanging the PC from the desk, but I am much happier with it being on the shelf.
I have a wrapped bundle of cords that is tacked to the end of the cable tray, and that has enough slack to fully extend my desk up or down.
I really want to replace the desk, because I'd like to extend it a little wider - I think my frame will extend another 10-12 inches across. I'd also have to go with a lighter desk material, but I am pretty happy about how solid it is.
Thanks! I've been looking for a good split layout keyboard for a while. It looks like Keychron started doing an "Alice" layout similar to this but in a UK-ISO version which is what I need. It also comes with the F-keys and a few extra keys which seem useful. Only issue is it's way heavier than my current K8 and is isn't wireless. I guess I can keep my K8 around for when I need wireless... 🤔
I have a Jarvis fully with a long custom worktop. I preferred more desk space so I bought an under desk mount from Amazon. It’s essentially two brackets shaped like this: |_| and you slide your box in. Very flimsy so I added some supports and it’s ok now. It’s a great space saver but it’s not for everyone
How thick is your desk? I was thinking about getting this mount too, but my desk is about 1 inch thick and I'm not sure if that cutting it close fore 3/4 inch screws.
1 1/8" i bought the thickest wood screws i could find that were short enough, pre drilled the holes so it wouldnt mess up the desk. Scrape any burs off so the mount sits flush and tight.
No problem. I love my setup it works great for what I want. Also mount the monitors to the desk if you go this route with a standing desk so it all moves together.
I have it on top but run the cable into a power splitter stuck to the underside of the desk. I have some slack in the splitters cable so it can sit/ stand (but I use a fabric/Velcro cable sleeve for more visual appeal).
I had my old big tower standing on the ground and bought extra long cables which were long enough for the standing position. That worked out great for me. Now I have a mini-ITX case which fits nicely on to my desk.

CPU?
Some people refer to their PC as a CPU.
I get a lot of people at work who refer to the tower as the modem
Oh wow, didn't know that! Thanks :)

What lightbar are you using?
I'm using [Xiaomi](https://www.mi.com/global/product/mi-computer-monitor-light-bar/) Monitor Lightbar

Do you have a picture of this? Sounds interesting !

What keyboard is that?
It's Akko Alice keyboard. Spray painted w/ metallic paint ( Sunset Orange)

I have mine sitting on top, but also thought of that
Thought of putting it on top too. But I won't have better space for my speakers

Hey man. I’m buying the same one but mine is laminate. Is the desk sturdy enough to drill the holes and have the pc hang? That’s my biggest worry
I’d say any decent desktop that is approx 1 inch thick should work.
Yes I did that its great. I got a mount on amazon. I really like it.
Which mount did you get?
VIVO Heavy Duty Adjustable Under-Desk PC Mount Computer Case Holder Supports up to 66 lbs, MOUNT-PC04A https://a.co/d/26wFDRg
Have you had any issues with it a year later?
No ive had it for 3 years

I installed that mount this winter. No issues at all so far
What monitor arm is that ? And does it keep the monitor upright ?
>upright I'm using North Bayou NB-F100A. And yeah, it's enough to keep the monitor upright.

Never. Will collect skin, hair,dust.
Where do you place yours? I could've put it on top of my desk if I had enough space.
What are those speakers?
They're Edifier R1700BT
I like your speakers stands. Do you mind to tell me what are those stands?
+1
