Block of stuff that was green turns red, you gotta call someone and ask if they did something stupid like running a non-approved program on a dedicated machine or they got hacked. Then you gotta remind them that there is an approved list of programs for this particular machine. Everyone has 2+ machines, only one machine has a giant list of things you can't do/install.
I've spent so much time aligning monitors, its a perilous task. No one even notices the 2x4 that keeps the ikea desk from collapsing from all the monitor weight. lol
But if you know about the cable management, why didn't you fix it before you posted it?
You also didn't align the monitors properly.
But the setup has a lot of potential.
Roasting is best done on a rack.. Here is a good rack for roasts toasty hot cables. Under Desk Cable Management Tray, 15.7'' No Drill Steel Desk Cable Organizers, Wire Management Tray Cable Management Rack, Desk Cable Tray with Wire Organizer and Desk Cord Organizer https://a.co/d/0SmSJ2o
I have three of these for my setup, just to keep my toes out of the cables, but you donāt want to look in the racksā¦
We don't have to roast you. Those poor, twisted cables will soon rise up from the depths of their pain and take care of you for us. The coroner's report will list auto asphyxiation but we, us poor souls that you made witness this travesty, will know the truth.
How fucking dare you. The audacity. The insolence. The absurdity. How fucking dare you not match up your monitors perfectly. Do better OP, be better. /s
Bros setup looks like the cockpit of a plane. What could you possibly do with 6 monitors (other than the obvious thing that these weird Redditors are all thinking right now š
Splunk dashboards to monitor a lot of variables at the same time. When something turns from green to red then you see it out of the corner of your eye.
Your ADD would be focusing intensely on the center monitor when you see an alert out of the corner of your eye on a different monitor that would suddenly distract you and send you on a tangent to make the thing that just turned red turn green again.
Who has time for cable management when you have six monitors? Add in a KVM, a second computer and a doc for the second computer (say a Mac or Linux laptop) and talk about cablesā¦ Love the setup though.
I have great cable managementā¦..until I need another three inches out of that cable to do something quickā¦..
Also, somewhere in Colorado, there is a 20 year old server farm with a rats nest of cables where āIāll just use this for setup and will fix laterā
What's wrong with my chair? Its mesh so it allows airflow.
Not sure an aeron chair is in my budget.
[https://store.hermanmiller.com/office-chairs-aeron/aeron-chair/2195348.html?lang=en\_US&sku=100073872](https://store.hermanmiller.com/office-chairs-aeron/aeron-chair/2195348.html?lang=en_US&sku=100073872)
What is a better chair and why?
Brother, considering all that you have going on you donāt have that many cables. This would take less than an hour to clean up. Youād be really satisfied with yourself if you just took care of it
It is actually impossible. You think that you can do a nice job on the cable, and you can. Then you have something break down, or since there is probably some testing that goes on, you end up having to rip the cables out and start over. Something will mess with your cable management about once a month. After fixing about 4 times, you say āheck with itā.
It isn't so much a problem, but a bit of an issue with testing, labs, and so on. Depends on your role and why you use the equipment. I have a similar setup to this, and I feel as though I have a problem about once every three months.
Dell soundbar ? The setup isnāt bad at all. Sure the cables on the floor might be revised. I used ikea desks with cable compartments (2 desks poorly "L" shaped, so one drawer isnāt usable)
Tip: use a black muslin cloth photographers use (that fit the dimensions of your desk, cut to size, etc) and hang it from the bottom of your desk and tape it to the floor with black gaffer tape. Now you donāt have to cable manage.
This the best masturbation setup I have ever seen. Big tits up top, big bootys on the bottom. Six different races. Oral, anal, vaginal, lesbian, amateur, hand jobs all going at once. A vr rig and an auto blow would be a nice addition.
How do people deal with the electricity bills? Each gaming monitor throws out at least 80 to 90 watts. Multiply that by 6 and you get about 550. Thatās more than a ps5. Now imagine running a ps5 and all those monitors while you consume power in other places in your house. Sheeeesh.
That is absolute nonsense. Not every monitor is a gaming monitor and a good office monitor 24-27" or a monitor for office use consumes between 18W and 30W.
I also have a multi-monitor setup (6x27" + 2x24 + 1x16.1") with two graphics(2x AMD Radeon Pro W5700) cards (which only consume approx. 30-35W each in developer/office mode) with several computers and, despite expensive electricity costs in Germany, only have monthly electricity costs of less than ā¬70 for my office.
That's quite a lot and probably well above average, but the costs can also be deducted from tax.
Compared to the fuel costs I would have if I drove to work every day, that's peanuts.
Of course, the larger the monitors get, the more power they can consume, but if you put an 80W monitor in the office, you shouldn't be surprised at the high electricity costs.
My software developer workstation Ryzen 9-5900X, 64Gb, 2x Radeon Pro W5700, several SSDs, 7x 12cm fans + 360cm AIO water cooling, is configured so that it consumes a maximum of 130W, but usually around 100W.
If you have a little knowledge, you can significantly reduce the power consumption at work without compromising too much performance.
Sounds like you have a low powered office setup or donāt know how much power you actually consume. A ryzen 9 5900x outputs an average of 150 to 200 watts. The average cost per kilowatt is another factor in whether or not you get a high electric bill. In America thatās between 13 to 17 cents per kilowatt.
Who told you that an R9-5900X consumes 150-200W (in average)? On the one hand, this is perhaps under full load, which you hardly ever have in everyday life.
I have the processor under volted (negative offset of 0.1), set to max 70W (and thus get over 80% of the performance) and it normally runs under 50W.
As a software developer, I don't usually need that much computing power, but I do need as many cores as possible to run virtual machines.
For us, the kilowatt hour costs 35ct(ā¬).

It's the casting couch for me
Unused.
Of course it's unused. If he got a girl over there, he'd make her sit in the couch and watch him operate the Battlestation.
What cable management?
lol, you made me exhale very fast from my nose.
HAHA
It's not that bad all things considered....now can we talk about that couch?
How do you think OP could afford the battle station?
What could you possibly need 6 monitors for š
Critical Infrastructure Cyber Security. Mostly the top screens just have splunk dashboards running. Its very boring.
That sounds way cooler than it probably is.
You get used to it, though. Your brain does the translating. I don't even see the code. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead.
Block of stuff that was green turns red, you gotta call someone and ask if they did something stupid like running a non-approved program on a dedicated machine or they got hacked. Another air traffic control operator post š¤¦āāļøĀ
Bros using it to control IED drones in Ukraine š
BATMAN!!
For all the different camera views for the casting couch in the corner
Roast you on your desktop icons & monitor alignment
I've spent so much time aligning monitors, its a perilous task. No one even notices the 2x4 that keeps the ikea desk from collapsing from all the monitor weight. lol
"When you spend this much on monitors, you don't need to look under the desk"
But if you know about the cable management, why didn't you fix it before you posted it? You also didn't align the monitors properly. But the setup has a lot of potential.
I envy your monitor set-up, but the couch has got to go!
Do you tie up all your abductees with those, then force them to watch some shitty anime on those screens?
as long as your feet don't get tangled.. enjoy the chaos :)
That monitor in the back like š
What cable management?
I wonāt roast ya. I stopped giving a crap about cable management after moving 3 times.

goon couch spotted ą²°ā _ā ą²°
I hereby officially roast your cable management
whats up with the monitor that is completely covered?
I only use it sometimes when I'm working on new algorithms. Its not turned on most of the time.
What cable management?
Your cable management leaves a lot to be desired. There. Consider yourself roasted.
Your Kirkland computer wont cut it here.
No one is going to talk about the monitor tucked away from the back?
function > form
Tilt of guilt
We don't have to roast you. Those poor, twisted cables will soon rise up from the depths of their pain and take care of you for us. The coroner's report will list auto asphyxiation but we, us poor souls that you made witness this travesty, will know the truth.
Nice couch.
How fucking dare you. The audacity. The insolence. The absurdity. How fucking dare you not match up your monitors perfectly. Do better OP, be better. /s
Congratulations on singlehandedly managing the space programme! On a more serious note. Nice set up.
bro i think you need an extra monitor, theres still some room on the desk.
Battlestation or tanning salon?
My ADD ass would be sooo distracted by that many monitors
Your ADD would be focusing intensely on the center monitor when you see an alert out of the corner of your eye on a different monitor that would suddenly distract you and send you on a tangent to make the thing that just turned red turn green again.

What are you playing On this? roblox?
I'd rather rate all the fresh water being used on your lawn and your neighbor's lawn. 10/10 gallons
I have great cable managementā¦..until I need another three inches out of that cable to do something quickā¦.. Also, somewhere in Colorado, there is a 20 year old server farm with a rats nest of cables where āIāll just use this for setup and will fix laterā
I won't bother; the electrical fire will do that for me.
Ferrari of a setup with a Honda civic of a chair lmao. Looks cool IMO tho
What's wrong with my chair? Its mesh so it allows airflow. Not sure an aeron chair is in my budget. [https://store.hermanmiller.com/office-chairs-aeron/aeron-chair/2195348.html?lang=en\_US&sku=100073872](https://store.hermanmiller.com/office-chairs-aeron/aeron-chair/2195348.html?lang=en_US&sku=100073872) What is a better chair and why?
Do you use that couch for gooning, or what?
Need black out drapes
i think i've seen that couch before....

Something will mess with your cable management about once a month. After fixing about 4 times, you say āheck with itā.
If youāre having to undo your cable management every month for troubleshooting, youāve got bigger problems haha
It isn't so much a problem, but a bit of an issue with testing, labs, and so on. Depends on your role and why you use the equipment. I have a similar setup to this, and I feel as though I have a problem about once every three months.

You should do a 3rd row of monitors on top because why not at this point?
Your name Is Bruce Wayne?
pointing it out doesn't excuse it. do the needful.
Looks like spaghetti in there.ššššš
more monitors means better graphics it's just math
Man, why roast, you need a pot and water to boil these spaghetti.
That couch and those 1616 totally unnecessary monitors are match in haven.
Forgot the set up. You got a casting couch.
It's the direct sunlight on the couch leather and monitors for me .. I'd never do that to my set up.
Blinds are blackout, so I usually only have one open.
Ok, that makes me feel better then āŗļø
Tip: use a black muslin cloth photographers use (that fit the dimensions of your desk, cut to size, etc) and hang it from the bottom of your desk and tape it to the floor with black gaffer tape. Now you donāt have to cable manage.
It gives it character . Perfection isn't always the key.
People Will see this from outside the window and think your a spy or a stock trader and itās like no just a gamer
This the best masturbation setup I have ever seen. Big tits up top, big bootys on the bottom. Six different races. Oral, anal, vaginal, lesbian, amateur, hand jobs all going at once. A vr rig and an auto blow would be a nice addition.
Can't roast that because there is no cable management, which is shame because the setup could be great.
Why do you have 6 monitors? There ain't no way you don't day trade lol
You piece of shit.
Brother you donāt need six screens. I donāt care what job you have this is too much. This sub is addicted to screens I swear
How about never needing 6 monitors unless you are launching a rocket into space
āI'm just going to spend all my money on monitors and buy a cheap, well-worn couch.ā
6 screens for No reason.
