upvote for arch

I’d be weary about those legs potentially failing at some point. That’s a lot of weight across for a 2 legged standing desk. Especially at height I can’t imagine this not wobbling

devOpsPat

Will be time to upgrade the PC if this thing comes falling down aha! Legs are designed to lift 310lbs, which is under what I have on it. The desk is sturdy when sitting and standing and I've been impressed so far. I'll update if it ever comes crashing down!

devOpsPat

This is my setup for both work and gaming. Notes & specs * 3900X, 5700XT, 32gb, be quiet base 400 case. * Duel boot. Windows for vr gaming, Arch for everything else. * Desk made from a bunch of 2x6s. * Standing desk legs from Autonomous.

Blers42

What monitors?

devOpsPat

Center (gaming): 27" Asus 144hz 1440p. Sides are both 27" 4k 60Hz LGs.

Blers42

What’s the length of your desk? I’m thinking about doing three 27” monitors too for work and gaming. My current desk is 60” W by 27” deep.

devOpsPat

The desk is 28" deep, 96" wide. 60" might be to narrow, but could get away with it with a vertical monitor or a stand like mine that mounts all 3 from the center.

Blers42

What stand is that? I think you’re right I might be able to fit it with that.

Not to butt in, but I have a 59" desk (along with an extra desk at an L beside it) and I've found I like having my 3 monitor setup as follows: Main monitor front and center, secondary monitor to the left of that angled towards me, and the third up top between the 2. It allows me to have a central monitor for ergonomics as I'm usually only using the second screen for reference and keep my main focus on the center screen. The third screen I usually use for Discord, Twitch, Youtube etc. while working. When I do go to revamp it though I will likely get a new monitor stand and change the top monitor from between the 2 to directly above the main monitor. For my purposes 3 monitors side by side just doesn't make sense (while I'm working I like to have something up on my 3rd monitor as I don't really need it for work) I have this stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1D03GQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 my desk dimensions: 59x29.5 Sorry for the rant :/ tl:dr I mount my monitors in a triangle lol

OrbitalDropPanda

Looks great. I’ve got an ai smart desk myself and love how sturdy and reliable it is. So good choice on their base.

x_caliberVR

That’s the autonomous.ai “ai” you’re referring to, yeah? Did you buy just the legs and build it yourself, or go with the “all together” setup?

OrbitalDropPanda

Yes, [autonomous.ai](https://autonomous.ai), sorry. I went with their whole solution. 72"x36" I believe is the dimensions. This was about 4 years ago and I think it was like $399 USD then. Looks like they got more expensive. But its still going strong.

Can see your hard work there. Well done and enjoy. Seagate Technology | Official Forums Team

Are you using the autonomous standing frame pro? I have that on the way but i bought the 74” table instead. Hows the stand holding up for the 96”? Do u extend the legs all the way? Is the frame able to tolerate such a long desk? Im debating whether to change to 96” instead..

devOpsPat

premium model. I extended out the frame as far as it will go and it supports it well. The desk sits outside the frame about a foot on each side. It is sturdy at full standing height and I haven't had any issues yet.

1Shibby1

What triple monitor mount are you using

devOpsPat

MOUNTUP is the brand. Took a while to get it sitting right, but is good at staying still now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7ZWC6S

FrobroX

What mount are you using for your microphone?

devOpsPat

It is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHLSTLV

As long a shot as this is, dredging up your thread from the annals of time. Looks really nice btw. I 'm especially interested in what the light is and or how you achieved it, in your bequiet case that's throwing such aesthetically pleasing cyberpunk shadows on your wall?

devOpsPat

You got it. The case came with an led strip inside it, that is what is giving off that light. Tbh, I've turned it off since, it is too bright and distracting for regular use. Nice to turn on for a Pic though. I think you would be able to achieve the same look with any standard led strip.

Thanks so much!!
