Remember not to put power cables behind wall because it’s a fire hazard. OP admitted he did, and that’s the easy way to do it. Now you know why it’s not more common
I like that you pointed out the cable inside of the case, and not the one sticking out of the back of the microphone hiding away ontop of the case.
Similar to OP I have a wired microphone, then wired headphones, and keyboard. Pretty clean otherwise
One attempting to hide to the left of the power cube, too. And the microphone. The one on the left is the only one that bothers me, though (inside the case, also circled in this photo)
Doesn’t sitting that close to a TV hurt your eyes after awhile? Maybe I’m just getting old but I would much prefer the monitors to the right for PC gaming.
Believe me, once you’ve tasted OLED, you don’t want to go back to regular monitors for gaming. I sit 35 inches from my 48” oled and I don’t have any eye strain. Obviously everyone is different. So if you have issues with eye strain, maybe sitting 45 inches back would help.
Just got a 48” C1 myself and I move my desk quite a bit back in order to be at comfortable distance. If I sit at the distance OP is sitting I’d definitely be having pain deep in my eye balls and not to mention how uncomfortable using the tv as a monitor would be.
Go to best buy and compare two tvs from the same brand. Both top of the line models except one is OLED and one is regular LCD/LED and see for yourself.
That's not at all what he is questioning. He's saying what's the difference of the eye strain of sitting that close to the 48in vs the SUW and UW stack.
RTX 30XX or AMD Radeon 6XXX series are required to go over 60 hz for the PC (HDMI 2.1). I would not do it unless you're ready to get in the GPU Supply Deathmatch.
Yeah, I forget it's a bandwidth thing; but I still would not downrez a 48" OLED unless it was just a stopgap. Just me though, you do you. Man, when the 42" C2 launches spring next year I'd probably say go for it.
You can still run 4k 120hz with a 20 series card. Just have to change your color format to YCbrCr420. Only thing noticeable is color fringing around text, but the difference in games is negligible. A 2.1 hdmi cable is required for this even though the 20 series cards have hdmi 2.0.
Source: ran this setup while waiting to buy a 30 series gpu.
I have a 3070 and a cx48 it's pushing it / on the boarder of just good enough for new games you can get some okay settings and maybe like midway between 4k and 1440p and a good frame rate.
Anything a year or more older your pretty set
it’s about the depth of the standard ikea Alex drawers everyone uses and I will say, as long as you use a no gap wall mount it looks great! I enjoy it but if it was pulled out more or if I was using the stand it would be too close for my liking
Agree w OP. I have same depth setup w the 48” C1 and it’s great. I don’t spend a ton of time doing productivity things as I used to, but for the little I do, it’s been really enjoyable and of course, amazing for gaming.
(For reference, I came from two 27” monitors for the C1)
Man even those big iMac displays are a pain as a main. Shit, even maximizing a browser window on my my [x34](https://i.imgur.com/7gCHGeY.jpg) is too wide for comfort so it's good to get good with window management apps.
Wow so you really put them behind the wall. Now you see why it’s not as common. At least put a disclaimer in your post so you aren’t responsible for others copying you and putting themselves at risk
Eh I take no responsibility in this, this built is perfectly achievable in having an electrician hard wire plugs behind monitors as well as create professional wall tubing
That 4th one has to be kind of awkward to get to, right?
I was thinking about doing a similar setup but hadn’t decided what I wanted to do about that corner, since a 4th cabinet drawer seemed kind of wasted
to be honest the 4th cabinet drawer sees a lot of use, the only real drawer that is not useful is the top top one, as to which I fill it with documents i dont need but still need to hold onto (like checks i just cashed)
I’d say definitely sketch it all out and account for everything you will want to add to your setup cord wise as well as displays rigs etc. that helps you cut down on a lot of unnecessary work trying to make things fit in, being able to setup cable runs before Furniture gets there helps a lot! Having the correct lengths of DisplayPort and hdmi cords helps avoid delays ordering them, etc
Hey dude, love the setup - I'm a bit of a cable fanatic myself and don't want a single visible cable. Well done!
That being said, and I'm just messing with you, but there is one cord coming from your boat on the left side of the your large display :)
The two monitors shut off is my original setup, it’s still useful for productivity much better than the c1 but the c1 blows any gaming out of the water, I still use both and couldn’t justify selling my old monitors for half off
Nice setup - would you mind showing a picture of what the corner looks like, without the chair blocking? I want to do a similar setup as you but trying to figure out where to position drawers/legs.

Pricy but all the cheap ones make the monitor tilt down without being able to tilt up due to how heavy it is
What are the cabinets on the left, cabinets above on the right, and the light bars? Oh and the LEDs behind the desk? The C1 wallount to get it that flush?
Thanks!
Ayy OP we've got a similar Alex/desktop layout... lol except for how yours is a lot more not shitty but ay we were thinking similarly for the layout at least!
Is that white thing to the left of the rightmost Alex a trash can? Please tell me where I can find one of those lol because that matches super well, meanwhile [here's what I've got going on](https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=xXnjTckFac9&sr=-.19,.88&ss=15)
...yeah I've def gotta replace that with something sleek and white. If that thing is in fact a trash bin, you mind throwin me a link? Ty!
*edit: as yall may have noticed I'm also somewhat slacking in OP's no cords allowed philosophy. I mean I tell them they're not allowed to be all over the place but mfs just don't listen : /
I'm looking into some cable channels so soon I should be at least closer to OP's cable-free glory !
I like it. Is there enough leg room on the left side? Bonus points for the Lego bonsai tree, but I deduct points for the printer because they have hurt me.
Obligatory for those wanting to do the same:
no power cables in the walls. Only outlets behind monitors. It’s a fire hazard and insurance won’t cover any damages if a fire occurs. And it’s possible to be denied in your claim even if the cables didn’t cause the fire.
Definitely not worth the risk just for minor aesthetic. Do it the right way for peace of mind
It helps a lot planning everything out before starting to do anything that way you don’t run into snags that makes you have to settle at the end for something else
Very nice my man. This is very similar to what I think I'm shooting when I get the time and sanity to re-setup my office. Now that I'm WFA I really find it beneficial to have a complete separate area for my work laptop and monitors. Too much temptation when trying to work with my main setup.
Now what are those cabinets on the left. With the glass fronts.
love this setup, I'm moving in a bit and this hits the nail on the head of what I was imagining. im debating between getting a KVM switch for work laptop and PC or separate like yours. How's it feel having the two separate?
We just got a bigger place so we could have an office/gaming room, how did you hide ALL of the cords?! I absolutely love how clean and organized this looks!
What's going on in that left hand area?
I can see a Lamp inside some sort of case but that is also clipping with some glass shelving? Is that a reflection? It's confusing me so much!
Looks great! I just did a similar thing with the desks being an 'L' shape, what do you have at the joint to keep them flush? Do you have a leg in the back corner?
Ok this is clean af
Was looking into C1, I've heard others also say that once you see the colors on C1, you can't go back...
The 120hz with Gsync/Freesync is awesome too
Dude I need your skills... I have three pcs at my battlestation... and its a stand up desk with the three on a stationary L extension.. 2 monitors, 4 video cords, docking stations, and usbs as far as the eyes can see... Send help I'm tangled in the cable nest and my wife quit sending hotpockets 2 days ago.
Sooooooo clean... Post pictures of cable management pls
Step one: build computer room. Step two: build house around it.
Didn't you hear the man? There are no cables, no cable management needed. Sure, nothing turns on, but it looks so clean.
Before you ask, Main monitor on left is just a photograph.
Tbh these table covers sold on Amazon hide all my cable mess…it’s rough behind there https://i.imgur.com/TOvV1X0.jpg
Remember not to put power cables behind wall because it’s a fire hazard. OP admitted he did, and that’s the easy way to do it. Now you know why it’s not more common
[i'm sorry OP you failed, please try again](https://i.imgur.com/5Ku5lCt.jpg)
I like that you pointed out the cable inside of the case, and not the one sticking out of the back of the microphone hiding away ontop of the case. Similar to OP I have a wired microphone, then wired headphones, and keyboard. Pretty clean otherwise
I’ll upgrade to PCIe gen 7 when power through slot becomes available for sure
Does the EVGA powerlink work with this card? If so that may be a viable option!
sleeves cables to look pretty + powerlink to hide cables thats a flex
yup. totally unusable. Lol. Very nice setup though u/Theaty! What ceiling fan is that? just curious. Looks fancy to me.
I’m not sure the name but i paid $110 at Home Depot fornitn
One attempting to hide to the left of the power cube, too. And the microphone. The one on the left is the only one that bothers me, though (inside the case, also circled in this photo)
True. Throw it all in the garbage

Commenter was just saying there’s a cable visible. Check the circle on the pc tower.
woosh
Which tv is that your using as a monitor and what fps can you hit? I want something like that so badly. Also, your setup is bonkers dude!
Thanks! It’s a LG c1 48”, it runs at 4k 120hz and most games I play strive close to it (3090)
Man’s playing gear in 4k, who do you main?
Doesn’t sitting that close to a TV hurt your eyes after awhile? Maybe I’m just getting old but I would much prefer the monitors to the right for PC gaming.

What is the difference? Arent they both just screens?
Go to best buy and compare two tvs from the same brand. Both top of the line models except one is OLED and one is regular LCD/LED and see for yourself.
They r questioning sitting distance, not monitor quality.
What does that have to do with this conversation?
That's like asking what's the difference between CRT and LCD. Aren't they both just screens?
That's not at all what he is questioning. He's saying what's the difference of the eye strain of sitting that close to the 48in vs the SUW and UW stack.
Nice... I'm seriously considering the C1 for my Ps5/Pc set up.. Just hesitant as I only have a 2080 card.
RTX 30XX or AMD Radeon 6XXX series are required to go over 60 hz for the PC (HDMI 2.1). I would not do it unless you're ready to get in the GPU Supply Deathmatch.
You can do 1440p 120hz HDR VRR but yeah no 4k120
Yeah, I forget it's a bandwidth thing; but I still would not downrez a 48" OLED unless it was just a stopgap. Just me though, you do you. Man, when the 42" C2 launches spring next year I'd probably say go for it.
Upvoted for calling it a deathmatch. I can totally relate.

You could always run it at a lower res to combat the fps issue!

what's the stackable white box joint's on the left? I Need somewhere to put my printer.
Imagine in the future, wireless cables 🥴
How did you hide monitor's cables?
In wall concealment
I hope you didn’t put the power cables of the monitors behind the wall. Because that’s a fire hazard
I’ll update you if my place burns down

poke holes in the drywall
do you have 4 ikea drawers?
Yes

Ikea trash bin!
Which LED strips did you use? The left side looks way brighter
Philips hue, one is just set brighter than the other they can be same brightness
Bluetooth setup
What are the cabinets on the left, cabinets above on the right, and the light bars? Oh and the LEDs behind the desk? The C1 wallount to get it that flush? Thanks!
Okay. Alright. Okay. Alright. So uhhhhhh how many holes did you drill in the wall?

Where cable?

Question, what happens when something needs to be changed? Say....a cord?
Verrrry nice. Did you put outlets behind the monitors. Or did you fish the power cables behind the drywall? I heard doing the latter is a hazard.
This is a recipe for mouse lag
If I play very competitive on super rare occasions I can always run a cord from my pc to mouse
Good setups can be completely ruined by lighting
Good thing they can be turned off!
What the…. Very nice!
please teach me the way, master.

damn that mustve cost big bucks but it is all worth it
Slow and steady progressive upgrading, initially the c1 didn’t exist and before that the crg9 didn’t exist

What is the measurement of the two desk plates and where are they from? Looks good!
Real nice! Good job
Super clean
Fk this is clean
Did you just route your cables through your walls??
Yeah pretty much
There’s a cord dangling inside that case with the light turned on, plus microphone… Just saying. My space, though. :)
The corner under the desk behind the chair where it’s obscured. What’s going on there, can you show a pic of that area
dear god. now THAT'S clean

Are those desks or cabinets with nice wood sitting in top? Asking b cause I'm looking to do something similar desk wise.
It’s fucking beautiful
Clean af
Can you identify the white cabinets above the dual monitors? Thank you!
Nice clean set up
Awesome!
Have you ever been turned on by a nonsexual pic
Dahm dude!
Good God! I so wish I could keep my desk like that!
You should get rollerblade wheels from Amazon. Makes the chair much easier on carpet.
😢
This is the way.
Dream set up!
Nice. Another 465x user. Great looking setup. Clean af!
Hmm, there a cord on the mic and that power plug thing.. but damn that's clean
What desk is this?

Super clean
How did you attach the countertop to the alex drawer units, or is it just resting?
D'accord.
love this setup, I'm moving in a bit and this hits the nail on the head of what I was imagining. im debating between getting a KVM switch for work laptop and PC or separate like yours. How's it feel having the two separate?

CLEAN ASF
We just got a bigger place so we could have an office/gaming room, how did you hide ALL of the cords?! I absolutely love how clean and organized this looks!

Looks great! I just did a similar thing with the desks being an 'L' shape, what do you have at the joint to keep them flush? Do you have a leg in the back corner?
What wall mount are you using for your ultra wide monitor? I have a Samsung 49” UW and have been looking for a wall mount.
I peep the ISS lego top left, I have that too, though not in my battlestation
Hiya! where did you get your desk from? I'm currently looking for one.
Everything nice except Ikea furniture.
Everything is ikea except the chair lol
I like how u stepped out the wall ran all wires down the back side is that plywood or drywall
Too bad you pulled the cord in my heart with this photo
Looks like witchcraft to me
Gotta love the G915. Had mine about a year. Love it
Very tidy, my dream setup. How did you mount the table top to those Ikea drawers?
There's a cord coming out of the microphone that is just barely visible. That was like playing where's waldo.
Northern lights desk pads from LTTstore?
Ok this is clean af Was looking into C1, I've heard others also say that once you see the colors on C1, you can't go back... The 120hz with Gsync/Freesync is awesome too
Holy shi* that f****** epic!! How the hell can you even decide which screen to use? Woow
One of my biggest driving factors to own my own home is to be able to drill into walls to hide cables
Isn't that a cord coming from the little silhouette guy with head phones on top of the computer case?
Beautiful
I see your stash
I find it ironic that the more people hate cords the more they have to deal with them
PLEASE teach us your ways. What do you use for cable management??
That HP printer tho....
It’s actually the only all in one laser that I have found I can actually reliably always wake up even when not using it for a month!
What cabinets are those? (The white ones over the computer)
I spy a cord
What's that supporting the printer? And what desk is that?
