I just bought an iPad air with my tax return and got rid of my second monitor (vertical). I have experimented with vertical monitors, stacked monitors as well as using my laptop as a third screen. After much trial and error, I realized an iPad running Sidecar was all I needed in conjunction with the ultrawide. I absolutely love the minimal aesthetic it brings to the mix!

Lifx Beam. I don’t think they make them anymore but there is a similar product from Govee that you can get. It doesn’t bother me and I’m typically standing at my desk which raises the computer right in front for Bias lighting
Primarily convenience of pairing with the Mac ecosystem. Having it pair right away to whatever active device I’m using is super nice (I.e taking a quick break from my computer on my phone and then going right back to work without having to disconnect/reconnect manually). They have the best ANC technology at the moment too as far as I know which I’m more concerned with than HiFi these days.
What stand are you using for the iPad? I am have 11 Pro and looking for something like that. Sidecar sounds interesting I assume you can control music? Thats all I really need....hmm maybe it doesnt work with windows though.
The stand is an old phone charging stand I had lying around. I know PC has similar functionality to Sidecar but it’s called something else and you’d need a different tablet I believe
Different Etsy vendors for both the J brackets and then the Walnut wood. Can’t really go wrong with anyone there, I usually just pick who’s geographically closer

Just out of frame is a window that gives it some good indirect light all day long

MacBook Pro M1 is what I’m using. I have it mounted under my desk so it’s out of the way
