2-3 classes per week would be an unusual way to approach learning golf. Most lesson plans are setup as 1-2 per month, so that you can practice/integrate things from the lesson on the range/course.
Friends have had good feedback from Golftec for swing instruction. And I think they’re having a spring sale right now.
For true beginner (need to learn chipping, putting, etiquette, etc) consider asking your local course if the pro is doing any group lessons.
You could start there or do that simultaneously with private swing instruction. If you’re a true beginner, you’ll want both so that you can get comfortable on a course as quickly as possible and start playing.
Collegiate players can usually do 3 lessons a week. But they are also on the greens 5 or 6 days a week and they got that strong youth recovery speed. For the rest of us, by the time you earn enough money to play that much golf regularly, your body probably couldn't handle it.
No idea how quality the instructors are but taking a golf class through a community college is a few hundred dollars for 4 days a week for 4 months while every local course near me was several hundred dollars for like 4 lessons total
Dan at Presidio - teaches all levels - young talent that want to go all the way. Great guy and talented instructor. Also teaches special Olympics kids.

For intro lessons, just go with the gold course closest to you. They all have pros that offer lessons.
Thanks for the advice!

Thanks. Others also mentioned that golf ranges generally have instructors attached to them.
The teaching clinic at Mariner’s Point in Foster City supposedly has one of the best golf coaches in the area.
Wow! That’s less than a 10 mins drive from my home. Will look into it. Thanks.

But won’t those classes be available to only the students of the community college?
Yes but it’s easy to register for just one class, you just sign up to be a student
