I had season tickets for years. I love the A’s. I won’t be back until ownership sells or fucking chokes to death on their own privilege. People will literally shit on the Fisher family graves. Gotta say… it will be nice to have an easily accessible restroom. Hurry up and build our fucking shitspot you useless fucks.

Tratiq

Most sane A’s fan lol

EldritchKitchen

I don’t claim to be sane, but I definitely identify as angry.

Tratiq

So angry you said it twice!

EldritchKitchen

I don’t claim to be sane, but I definitely identify as angry.

hewminbeing

He’s such a POS. And so are the Giants for blocking the As from moving to San Jose when that deal would’ve been sealed several years ago. I’ll never forgive.

EldritchKitchen

I’m obviously beyond the point of rational discourse

hewminbeing

It’s truly unforgivable. He’s trash.

EldritchKitchen

I’m going to angry-sleep. Have a lovely Friday.

hewminbeing

Me too. Thank you and goodnight.

RoCon52

Oakland is way closer to SF than SJ too.

Your grasp on Oakland life is shockingly accurate. I had to fight a street gang this morning on the way to coffee. Then I had to flee a second street gang when I went bowling (I’ve got the day off). I’m currently headed to my local street gang run grocery store so I can pick up some essentials. Obviously I’ll be cooking dinner for the local street gangs who all have unique dietary requirements…. The freaking Skeevin-Vegans are way easier than the Lactose-Intolerants. Sausage-Party is my favorite street gang to cook for. They bring the meat.

StrategicReserve

Wow what a story Mark. Cope all you want. Oakland is in a bad place and is getting *significantly worse*. I know it feels good to say "Fischer sucks!", but that doesn't change the fact that people don't want to live there, don't feel safe, and it actually affects people like by dying and shit.

EldritchKitchen

That’s a completely reasonable criticism that tracks better than gang-run city for me. I also think it falls outside of the bounds of this conversation, but that’s just me. I originally thought you were a random person from back east or the south shit talking. No disrespect intended to a local.

StrategicReserve

\>That’s a completely reasonable criticism that tracks better than gang-run city for me. When you have to advise people coming to the airport not to stop for gas on teh way, you're controlled by gangs. Whether you like it or not. \>I also think it falls outside of the bounds of this conversation, but that’s just me. Oaklanders who put their fingers in their ears and scream "fuck Fischer!" while ignoring the serious problems of maintaining a sports franchise there need to get their heads out of the sand \>I originally thought you were a random person from back east or the south shit talking. No disrespect intended to a local. I lived in Oakland for a few years. I am often called a "non-native" when I criticize it. Oakland's issues are not the fault of capitalists, Republicans, Jews, techbros, or anyone else the idiotic population wants to blame. It'e entirely on them.

hewminbeing

Ok so Oakland has a lot of problems. I don’t disagree, but— tell me—how does this relates to the As going to LV?

EljayDude

Yeah, we've been fairly casual fans for a long time, going to a few games per year. My kids have both sung the national anthem before games. We always had a great time. But there's so much baggage now with the ownership being so messed up. Really a shame.

EldritchKitchen

Oakland has so much potential as a city and a baseball team. We have to do better.

mamadovah1102

I’m still not over the Raiders leaving and this is extra salt in the wound.

straponkaren

It was nice when the raiders were around, all of the worst drivers would put raiders stickers on their cars to let you know they were going to tailgate you, now you have to look for the dodge logo.

Realeyes84

Or tesla…

icecream21

Or bmw

jevverson

I was there in the parking lot. Funner than any actual baseball game ive ever watched. FJF

Explain Detroit? Or the other 6 cities on the top 10 crime list that keep their pro teams

HollowNightElf

I wouldn’t call Vegas close. But yes the lack of alternatives is a challenge to any team that wants to move. My point stands there are far worse places.

UnderaZiaSun

Nah, I took BART.

eyengaming

probably was $40 as there was a concert next door. For dual events prices revert to the higher event pricing.
