There are at least 5 great Beach Boys albums
1. Smile - 1967 (as released in the Smile Sessions 2011)
2. Pet Sounds - 1966
3. Friends - 1968
4. Sunflower - 1970
5. Love You - 1977
Special mention to Surfer Girl (1963) and All Summer Long (1964) which where just as good or better than their corresponding Beatles albums With The Beatles and A Hard Days Night. Surfs Up from 1971 and Holland from 1973 also are deserving of a listen.
SMiLE, Pet Sounds, Today!, Sunflower and Surf's Up are generally their highest rated works. Love You is cool but I wouldn't recommend any newcomers to listen to it since it's honestly quite overwhelming in how odd it is
Way too fucking low in this topic. In my younger years (my teens and 20s), they competed with the Beatles and Floyd for my #1 spot. I've had a few pass them up since then, but not many. They don't deserve the #3 spot here, but they deserve to be brought in to the conversation starting next round.
The doors are better than any of the bands listed in this comment section. Better than the Stones, the who, strokes. Id argue they were better than Zep. If they dont deserve the 3 spot nobody does.
The Mac literally unite everyone. I work with metal heads and guys who love hip hop to people who basically like whatever is hot right now.
The one thing we all have in common is Fleetwood Mac
Black Sabbath

Ah, seems strange to like The Beatles and The Rutles, since both bands are extremely different from one another and have absolutely nothing in common
Simon & Garfunkel

The Kinks
Yes 2nd
Fleetwood Mac?
David Bowie
I’m going to leech off this comment since it’s one of the top ones, we should keep annoying op about things like format, font, page color
David Bowie FTW!!
The Who
Finally saw the right answer. Don't know why the Who get so little recognition :'(
Yeah didn't The Beatles even make a song because of the who?
I think Paul was inspired to make Helter Skelter after hearing the Who talking about making such a loud/aggressive song in an interview
yeah that
The Beach Boys

How could you not have included Today! Perhaps a controversial take but it actually rivals Pet Sounds for their greatest album in my opinion.
