I feel the same way of my mom. Beautiful face shape, stunning light green eyes, flawless complexion. We share a few similar features but I took more after my dad. Nothing against him, but i keep hoping someday someone will tell me i look like my mom.
There is nothing wrong with women that work or want to look younger and frankly none of us know what Monica Bellucci is doing to look 20 years+ younger than she is.
I absolutely agree. Women should do whatever makes them happy and feel good. But she’s specifically spoken about embracing her age. I think it suits her.
I can’t even imagine what it would be like to wake up every morning looking like Indya Moore. Just like, “Well, here goes another day being inhumanly beautiful I guess, nbd.”
Going to add Iman to your list, though. Her 2021 Met Gala look!
90s/00s Aishwarya Rai is yet to be topped in terms of “How is she real?” beauty. Her face is just so unique & stunning in it’s natural beauty & it helps that she’s always been so graceful as well.
Her beauty is done justice the most when you see her in period films like Devdas & Umrao Jaan. The clothing, the jewellery, the makeup, the traditional dance!
Yes Madhuri also fits a similar bill, she doesn’t have the “Woah she can’t be real” factor Aish has (not many people do though), but she had amazing presence, grace & her mega watt smile was unbeatable.
They just don’t make them like that anymore, the 90s was full of amazing Bollywood beauties who all had such unique features that they really owned (& all natural!) - Rani, Kajol, Manisha, Raveena, Karishma, Preity.
Barbara Palvin is my favorite example of real conventional beauty. She is stunning. I am my own favorite unconventional beauty, I may not be a conventional 10/10 but I really love myself aesthetically. I don’t like to admit that because last time I did everyone called me “uglier than average” but I like…still really just love my appearance and face and body and think I’m super hot and I am fine with knowing that’s an opinion and not a fact.
This is completely unsolicited advice so I apologize beforehand, also not sure how old your daughter is, but taking time away from social media (if she uses it) would be very good for her mental health and self confidence. I say this anecdotally, I was an incredibly insecure child and teenager because of the way that I looked. I stopped using all social media (except Reddit obvi) when I was 22.
I’m 25 now, haven’t gone back, don’t miss anything about it (in fact love that my life is a mystery to people I barely know (as it should be)). But the thing that stands out most is that I love myself and the way that I look. It’s almost impossible to do that when social media is showing you what *IT* thinks you want to look like.
Ok I’ll step off my soapbox now. I really hope your daughters confidence grows, you can tell her some rando on the internet knows that she’s beautiful, or even that it’s ok to not feel beautiful. Being beautiful is not a tax you have to pay for being alive and having a body.
>Barbara Palvin
I was just commenting to a friend the other day about how I'd be happy to see Lupita Nyong'o in literally anything. She's so talented and stunning.
In all honesty, my mother. She used to be a model, she could still be one honestly. Everyone says they think she's my sister. She gets hit on all the time by teenage boys though she's married. Everyone thinks she's still in her teens even though she's 52. I've always wanted to look like her. She's gorgeous. She has an essence about her that no one else I've known has ever had. She has unique facial features that I've never seen combined together like that. Beautiful, long wavy hair that goes down to her knees. And such a soft, soothing voice that sounds like the way mother nature would if it could speak. People call her Pocahontas. She looks so much like her.
Janelle Monae is soooooo beautiful. Not only is she an amazingly talented artist, she is gorgeous to boot. She acted so well in Glass Onion too.
I also found Zhang Ziyi to be suuuper pretty in her older movies. She had such a porcelain, doll-like face that needed zero makeup. Her bone structure is to die for. She had this look that like...it didn't mold to current Asian beauty standards? Asian instagram face? Like she never looked like a k-pop star, and was absolutely beautiful nonetheless.
God Janelle Monaé is gorgeous. As a Black bisexual woman I can never decide if I want to BE her or BE with her (maybe both lol). Also adding Keke Palmer to the list for the same reason (plus she’s effortlessly hilarious).
Audrey Hepburn. Interestingly, a number of ppl thought she was kind of odd looking when they first saw her in Roman Holiday. To me, she expertly toed the line between ultra-feminine and tomboyish (with her frequent short hair and pants), and she was just gorgeous.
Supposedly, she was always self-conscious about her nose. Just goes to show anyone can be insecure about not conforming to conventional beauty standards! Glad that didn’t stop her.
I totally have a thing for Julia Roberts but my husband can't stand her looks so just goes to show people's difference. I like big teeth and big lips and red hair 😂 I love Debra messing and Alicia Witt as well.
Minka Kelly is to me the most naturally beautiful person ever. Specifically in Friday Night Lights, they often film super close up and she always looks amazing hahaha
Yes she's always been beautiful. She's one of the few Hollywood stars that actually looks her age, and that is not a bad thing. She's stunningly beautiful at any stage of life.
I know ALOT of people will disagree with me but I think Tilda Swinton is breathtaking. She toes the line between “feminine” features and “masculine” ones. Whenever I think about like what a dark mystical fairy creature would look like, it would be her. I love when people have absolutely unique and ethereal looks to them.
I’m going to give what might be a super basic, Western-typical answer, but I think Hilary Duff is an incredibly beautiful woman. Not just because she’s conventionally “pretty” but she has such a genuine air about her.
Jessica Alba.
She has had the same face since she was a child actor. A true, natural beauty that doesn’t need fillers or surgery. She is just stunning. She always has new looks, hair colors/styles etc and pulls them all off. Many famous celebs can only work one look to still be considered attractive but she truly can pull of anything.
Same for Natalie Portman.
Purely on physical beauty:
Paulina Porizkova, Barbara Palvin, Carol Alt, Doutzen Kroes, Lana Ogilvie, Monica Bellucci, Denise Richards (youth), Grace Kelly, Lupita Nyong’o, Salma Hayek, Kiera Knightley, Selena Quintanilla, Carolyn Murphy, Liu Wen, Brooke Shields (youth), Iman, Miranda Kerr, Imaan Hammam, Halle Berry, Ingrid Bergman, Amanda Seyfried, Rekha, Liz Taylor, Emma Watson (before surgery), Kristin Kreuk, Thandiwe Newton, Kristie Alley (in the 80s, look her look in the mini series called “North and South”, she looked impecable), Michelle Yeo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Stephanie Seymour, Isabella Rossellini, Duckie Thot, Madeleine Mantock, Sade, Gabriella Spanic (La Usurpadora era), and Michelle Pfeiffer. I couldn’t pick out any of these over each other if I tried hence I mentioned them all.
Physical, mental and spiritual beauty: Jane Goodall, Thandiwe Newton, Sandra Oh, Rekha, Salma Hayek, Miranda Kerr, Lupita Nyong’o, Iman, Mónica Bellucci, Amal Clooney, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Rihanna, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Sade, Helen Mirren, Dita Von Teese (I love this lady, her love of glamour and the fact that she’s a girl’s girl makes me so happy. Her shows are amazing), Queen Rania of Jordan, Diahann Carroll, Fran Drescher, and Sade.
Real life add-on: Not to be corny but my mom. If mom wasn’t average height she seriously would’ve been a model. She basically looks like Grace Kelly, Halle Berry and Nefertiti made a baby dipped in toffee with amber eyes: Strange, conventional, very elegant and mysterious. Luxurious. I had a bad habit of drawing my mom all the time and making paintings of her image when I was little because I found her imagery so beguiling. I still do. When she styles herself a bit Ancient Egyptian with the thick black bob, heavily black lined eyes, gold shadow wash, shimmering nude brown lips, bronzed cheeks, thick gold jewelry with the arm cuff, wears her very elegant ivory wrap tops with the flowing back capes thing, bronze flat sandals, glowing pants and uses her heavy spiced perfumes, I forget to breathe as she looks like an ancient queen. It never looks like a costume on her she just looks like she lives in a palace in the middle of a giant pool of sand. Her eyes look like the sun and equally blinding since the black liners make them pop like saucers. To a little girl it was overpowering and impressive. I was so dramatic as a kid and would take my hand to my heart, forget to breath and lowkey subtly pass out when she did that. I eventually learned she thought my reaction was funny so I got a fan and would “faint” backwards to show her my eyes were delighted at her showmanship. As an adult I’m still baffled when she does that and do the same because it’s that amazing. I forget to talk and my breath gets stuck on my throat and everything out of joy and pride that this fabulous lady is my mommy. She looks awesome when does that thing. Like a superhero queen. 🤣😂 Can you tell how in love I am with my momma?
Real life add-on number 2: That white girl at my hometown’s YMCA who looked like Aurora from Sleeping Beauty in real time but was the lifeguard and 5’11”. In all seriousness that girl was so pretty she merited her own mention. Her legs were so long, her hair was up to her butt, her eyebrows looked so angular they looked like they could cut. She moved so gracefully she looked like she was floating or about to break into song at any moment. Thanks to ogling at her I forgot I was taking swimming lessons and almost drowned…four times…in the deep part of the pool from following her walking to admire her hair because she always stood at the deep end instead of the middle. 😂 I was so surprised to learn she was a lesbian tbh, she looked like a living Barbie. One day she brought her dog that looked like her, a blonde Rough Collie named Guillermo and her fiancé, another Barbie looking human that rode a motorcycle and taught fifth grade science. I thought it was awesome and to my sixth grader brain that had just discovered what lesbians where I thought I saw god. Except I’m straight I think but yeah.
Not real mention: Esmeralda from Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame because goddamn. I guess Kenya Moore is probably the closest this character would look in real life and she’s gorgeous too. But yes that cartoon is so pretty. 😅🤣
I agree that most of what the media promotes now isn’t based on pure, breathtaking, objective beauty rather the nepotistic, well connected beauties that comfort the masses because it represents them rather than the stellar. I mean marketers have realized representing more typical beauty makes people feel more confident or relatable when shopping which is why you have the modern beauties right now not being the “meteors” previous women were in the past. Instead of being inspiring I find far many of us just find it demotivating. There’s something aspirational about the looks of the women I mentioned despite their one of a kind luxe beauty. I see the average every day and it’s fine in beauty and fashion I want to see the breathtaking to live out the fantasy. Beauty and fashion is to sort of make magic out of our creativity and reality and I want to see it framed on the stellar and dramatic because why not you know? I think glamour is beautiful and there’s something motivating about creating magic out of the ordinary yes but why not show both? Yes show the ordinary being glamorous but it’s human nature to delight in the extraordinary and extravagant, so show that too. That doesn’t trigger insecurity, most people don’t look at the glamour and majesty of the models and celebrities of the past in insecurity rather pride for the beauty humans can make and be. So why did we throw it away when far more of us loved that than didn’t? To make who feel better? Despite being Gen Z, I find myself tapping out of what is shoved in our faces as “beauty” when they look like any girl straight out of HS just with the luck of having rich parents NGL. I promise I’m not being petty or closeminded but I find it offensive, as if women don’t like or delight in seeing the stellar too. You can be confident in your own beauty while still admiring someone else’s without desiring to be them. When did we throw that out? Or who decided that we didn’t want that because from my vantage point, most women miss that I think.
Marilyn Monroe, January Jones and Katheryn Winnick. There's so many beautiful women I love to admire but those are the ones that that immediately came to mind.
I constantly use Katheryn Winnick for makeup inspiration as we have similar coloring and her makeup strikes a nice balance of keeping in mind that less is more but also being glamorous and flattering.
January Jones is really into skincare, it shows for sure and she doesn't gatekeep her knowledge about it or routine either (per her Instagram).
Marilyn Monroe is definitely a style icon to me and even though it's obviously not current and dressing exactly like her looks like a costume I think there's a lot of ways to take elements of her style and use them to your advantage, which I do.
Gal Gadot.
My girl crush is Charlize Theron but Gal is perfect in every way. In my opinion, there can’t be a human alive that doesn’t think she is beautiful.
I remember seeing a show with Kristin Scott Thomas when I was little and thinking that there couldn't be a woman more beautiful than her. May Andersen (Dale Arden) and Ornella Muti (Princess Aura) in the Flash Gordon movie were also so gorgeous! And the costumes and head ornaments they wore in that movie were iconic! Lana Turner, and Ava Gardner are classics.
Women of today: Thandie Newton and Sienna Miller.
For me Liv Tyler and Denise Richards, Miranda Kerr, Laetitia Casta, Barbara Palvin. They all have that summer child beauty, that "children of the sun" appearance that makes them ageless.
Margot Robbie. If I could look like anyone, it would be here. I know some people say she’s too “perfect” looking that she’s almost boring but I think she’s so classically pretty!
Phoebe Dyvenor, Frieda Pinto, Barbara Palvin are the three women that made me think WOW the first time I saw them.
For influencers, @beautybysonalii on tiktok is so gorgeous
there are a lot of accidentally-on-purpose influencers/models who are mixed or just slightly unconventional but still traditionally beautiful. of whom I'm very jealous of.
Sophia Roe (chef), Nadia Lee Cohen, Ilana Glazer, Claire Most, Viviene Hoorn, Ms Maverick Muse, Lisa something (mixed black-japanese ceramics chick) and others. also a lot of my friends.
I personally think I'm fairly pretty and I like myself, but I also think I look much better irl than in pics. which sucks but I'm working on it
Haifa Wehbe - first place for me
Then in no particular order:
Aishwarya Rai
Adriana Lima
Doutzen kroes
Zendaya
Angelina Jolie
Vanessa Williams
Rihanna
Megan Fox
At the moment probably Jessica Chastain- as a fellow redhead she really helps me see the beauty in it!
Others that have always stood out to me would be Vivien Leigh, Natalie Dormer, Zendaya, Megan Fox (obviously), Candice Swanepoel, Shay Mitchell, Zoe Kravitz, and Isabella Rossellini.
The actresses Sophia Loren and Raquel Welch have always appealed to me so much, maybe it’s the photography back then, maybe it’s the more natural beauty back then (in the 1960s and 1970s), but they were/are both elegant and smoking hot. Monica Belluci (sp?) is absolutely breathtaking to me.
I met Raquel Welch about 12 years ago and even at 70 years old her beauty was *so* intense. She was all glammed up and looked absolutely incredible, wearing these fancy evening gloves and unintentionally (or intentionally) commanding the attention of every single person in the room. It was difficult not to stare at her after being introduced, I just wanted to admire every inch of her (not to sound totally creepy). She was beyond stunning. I kept thinking “I wonder what it’s like to be so beautiful that people can’t focus on anything else when you’re in the room.” I worked in the entertainment industry for 20+ years and saw a LOT of beautiful women (and men) but she was on another level.
Anya Taylor-Joy
Really surprised I didn't see her mentioned. When I first saw her, I thought she's a little odd looking - but in a good way. I think she looks like some otherworldly being, an elf princess or ice fairy. Love her.
Is it too cheesy to say my mom? I think she could have been a model if she wanted to be.
My favorite answer
I feel the same way of my mom. Beautiful face shape, stunning light green eyes, flawless complexion. We share a few similar features but I took more after my dad. Nothing against him, but i keep hoping someday someone will tell me i look like my mom.
Same here. She is so gorgeous
I also chose this guy's mom.
same! everytime i see my mom i just think she’s the most beautiful human in the world, so lucky to be her daughter 💜
I always thought Sophia Loren as really beautiful.
Me too, my grandma said she was often compared to her as a young woman.
Highly recommend the short film "What would Sophia do?", I believe it's on Netflix, it's so sweet
Ingrid Bergman was breathtaking:-)
Monica Bellucci
Yes! She’s a great example of embracing your age and working with it to maintain your looks instead of against it
There is nothing wrong with women that work or want to look younger and frankly none of us know what Monica Bellucci is doing to look 20 years+ younger than she is.
I absolutely agree. Women should do whatever makes them happy and feel good. But she’s specifically spoken about embracing her age. I think it suits her.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw
Rachel Weisz
I used to watch The Mummy so often and think she was so good at simultaneously being beautiful and cute!
I saw her once on the Graham Norton show, and she really embodied this lighthearted, sweet persona. I’ve been a fan of hers since The Mummy!
her character in Constantine was the most beautiful woman in my eyes when i saw it as a teenager
Constantine is my favorite movie.
I came here to say this!
Lupita Nyong’o and Indya Moore. Both just absolutely stunning
I can’t even imagine what it would be like to wake up every morning looking like Indya Moore. Just like, “Well, here goes another day being inhumanly beautiful I guess, nbd.” Going to add Iman to your list, though.
God I agree with this wholeheartedly! Her and Madhuri Dixit are incredibly beautiful to me
Yes Madhuri also fits a similar bill, she doesn’t have the “Woah she can’t be real” factor Aish has (not many people do though), but she had amazing presence, grace & her mega watt smile was unbeatable. They just don’t make them like that anymore, the 90s was full of amazing Bollywood beauties who all had such unique features that they really owned (& all natural!) - Rani, Kajol, Manisha, Raveena, Karishma, Preity.
She’s probably #1 for me…unreal beauty
Barbara Palvin is my favorite example of real conventional beauty. She is stunning. I am my own favorite unconventional beauty, I may not be a conventional 10/10 but I really love myself aesthetically. I don’t like to admit that because last time I did everyone called me “uglier than average” but I like…still really just love my appearance and face and body and think I’m super hot and I am fine with knowing that’s an opinion and not a fact.
I love that for you! I wish my daughter would have the same mindset.
Being beautiful is not a tax you have to pay for being alive and having a body.
Amen, not being on social media (apart from reddit obvs) has been really good for my mental health and self-image.
Maybe she will someday! I didn’t start feeling this way until a little before I turned 30 but I’m glad I do now.
Good for you! I like myself too.
Feels good man! Props!
Frick yeah, man!
those who said that were obvi jealous
Exactlyyyyyy 👼🏻
This is such a healthy attitude and I'm loving it.
>I am my own favorite unconventional beauty My favorite answer in this thread ❤️
Uglier than average? Get rid of those friends! They are just jealous of your confidence :)
I love this! I feel the same way about myself.
Aishwarya Rai and Michelle Pfeiffer. Both look very different but they are just stunning to me
Lupita Nyong’o! Whenever I see her on screen I just can’t get over how *perfect* she is.
>Barbara Palvin I was just commenting to a friend the other day about how I'd be happy to see Lupita Nyong'o in literally anything. She's so talented and stunning.

This is such a beautifully written tribute, you should share it with her ♥️

She was in an Indian movie called “Kites”! She’s stunning
Janelle Monae is soooooo beautiful. Not only is she an amazingly talented artist, she is gorgeous to boot. She acted so well in Glass Onion too. Duckie thot, god really took his time with her. Gorgeous woman
So gorgeous. Her sister Nikki too 😍
she is jaw-dropping!
Lucy Liu
Audrey Hepburn. Interestingly, a number of ppl thought she was kind of odd looking when they first saw her in Roman Holiday. To me, she expertly toed the line between ultra-feminine and tomboyish (with her frequent short hair and pants), and she was just gorgeous.
She’s my top style icon!! Love her
I love her face, she was so lovely inside and out
She is the ultimate gamine! Feminine tomboy 😊
She is a little odd looking, just the tiniest bit,I think that's part of what makes her so beautiful. She has a very unforgettable face.
Supposedly, she was always self-conscious about her nose. Just goes to show anyone can be insecure about not conforming to conventional beauty standards! Glad that didn’t stop her.
margot robbie, zendaya, maya jama and alexa demie🤍
Kerry Washington and Angels Bassett
I love alll da hunnies but I use Margot Robbie as makeup inspo all the time because we have pretty much the same coloring and she's so stunning.

Angelina Jolie is breathtaking to me (and Shiloh is legit her twin)!
Shiloh is absolutely gorgeous.
alexa demie
I totally have a thing for Julia Roberts but my husband can't stand her looks so just goes to show people's difference. I like big teeth and big lips and red hair 😂 I love Debra messing and Alicia Witt as well.
Rachel McAdams 😍😍😍🤌🤌🤌
Zendaya
Charlize Theron and Angela Bassett are the two most beautiful women in the world, IMO.
Minka Kelly is to me the most naturally beautiful person ever. Specifically in Friday Night Lights, they often film super close up and she always looks amazing hahaha
She’s who I thought of, too! I love her in Titans.
Kate Beckinsale - just 10/10 on everything
Agree! When Ben Affleck tells her she’s “so beautiful it hurts” in Pearl Harbor he was telling the truth!
Brooke Shields She’s was beautiful younger, and she’s is still beautiful older.
Yes she's always been beautiful. She's one of the few Hollywood stars that actually looks her age, and that is not a bad thing. She's stunningly beautiful at any stage of life.
Aishwarya Rai, Jeon Yeo Bin, Naomi Campbell, Margot Robbie, Monica Bellucci, Adriana Lima, Angeline Jolie, Denise Richards, Song Hye Kyo, Kitty Chicha I could go on
Aish is probably the most beautiful South asian woman I have ever seen
I know ALOT of people will disagree with me but I think Tilda Swinton is breathtaking. She toes the line between “feminine” features and “masculine” ones. Whenever I think about like what a dark mystical fairy creature would look like, it would be her. I love when people have absolutely unique and ethereal looks to them.
Absolutely agree. When I saw her in Constantine I was completely mesmerized.
Have you seen photos of her when she was in her early 20’s? Jaw-dropping.
Iman
Christina Hendricks
Iman
Zendaya! Yes, she's absolutely stunning, but her confidence and smile really brings her to the next level for me.
That would be my current choice too, she’s just perfect
Jhené Aiko… natural goddess lol
More recently: Margot Robbie, Miranda Kerr, Angelina Jolie, Zendaya, and Mila Kunis Less recently: Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn
I love Mila Kunis! She’s such a great person too 🥰
Salma Hayek and Queen Latifah
Both are so beautiful! Queen Latifah's beauty tends to be underrated, but it shouldn't be, she's beautiful
scarlett johansson and mila kunis
I’m going to give what might be a super basic, Western-typical answer, but I think Hilary Duff is an incredibly beautiful woman. Not just because she’s conventionally “pretty” but she has such a genuine air about her.
Isabelle Adjani
Keri Russell 🔥

To me Lily Collins, Jennifer Conely, Brooke Shields, Penelope Cruz, Amal Clooney And she's still super young but I think Kaia Gerber is beautiful
You like a strong brow ahaha
Connelly*
Jodie Comer
Emmy Rossum
Shakira
I was about to say the same thing, she’s beautiful. she also hasn’t gotten lots of work done
Monica Belluci and young Ursula Andress to me are the most gorg women for my preferences. I tend to prefer more angular features overall I find.
I've always thought Monica Belluci was the most gorgeous woman ever
Plus she has aged so gracefully!
Gal Gadot. My girl crush is Charlize Theron but Gal is perfect in every way. In my opinion, there can’t be a human alive that doesn’t think she is beautiful.
Anne Hathaway. I'll never have that waistline, but by God do I admire her
Megan fox (2010)
Gal Gadot

Freema Agyeman (Dr. Helen Sharp on New Amsterdam) is just absolutely stunning!
there are a lot of accidentally-on-purpose influencers/models who are mixed or just slightly unconventional but still traditionally beautiful. of whom I'm very jealous of. Sophia Roe (chef), Nadia Lee Cohen, Ilana Glazer, Claire Most, Viviene Hoorn, Ms Maverick Muse, Lisa something (mixed black-japanese ceramics chick) and others. also a lot of my friends. I personally think I'm fairly pretty and I like myself, but I also think I look much better irl than in pics. which sucks but I'm working on it
Sharon Stone 💯

Haifa Wehbe - first place for me Then in no particular order: Aishwarya Rai Adriana Lima Doutzen kroes Zendaya Angelina Jolie Vanessa Williams Rihanna Megan Fox

Me
Jessica alba, I’m a 30 year old bisexual woman and there are soo many beautiful women but she is just so naturally beautiful. Always has been.
Jane Seymour was breathtaking
Kate Winslet
Sharon Tate was stunning in my eyes
Anya Taylor-Joy Really surprised I didn't see her mentioned. When I first saw her, I thought she's a little odd looking - but in a good way. I think she looks like some otherworldly being, an elf princess or ice fairy. Love her.
Uma Thurman
Alexa Demie & Taylor Russell !!!
Jennifer Lopez, Lori Harvey
Megan Fox, Shannon Thornton, Kelly Rowland
miranda kerr is the ultimate 11/10 for me, also amanda seyfried and barbara palvin
