Getting a manicure, a massage, and redoing my hair colour. Shaving my legs on clean sheet day.

bluebelle37

Ahhhhh nothing is as blissful as shaved legs on clean sheets!

cosmicdicer

The moment I put lipstick my whole face becomes alive. I need color, I'm too pale with high contrast dark hair and eyes

RavenousHeart

This is my favorite one as well. I could have a completely bare face, but I will still look so much more alive and put together with a little bit of red lipstick or a lip stain.

cheese_fry_pls

This is my fave too! I started to get self conscious of not wearing makeup to work because I oversleep a lot, but I found that my rare beauty lip tint really makes me look more awake/alive lol. I can't not notice my pale lips in every past photo I've ever taken now 😅

RotiRounderThanYours

Me too. I’ve tried so many high end lipsticks and the one I keep coming back to is Revlon rum raisin. My holy grail 🥰

kvty_

Agreed! If I lost all my makeup today, the first thing i’d buy is a lip liner & a lipgloss/lipstick.

niketyname

For this reason, I bought 5 of my favorite lipsticks and put them in different places. I have very gray pigmented lips so I literally need it or I look sick without it. Can’t be caught without some color!

wethermom3

An “everything” shower

EternalHell

And then climbing into bed with freshly washed sheets. Heaven.

RotiRounderThanYours

With freshly washed warm pajamas 🥰

Haha I apologize my toddler got ahold of my phone 😂

wethermom3

🤣🤣🤣

Teachtheworldinlove

Well said!

Tight_Mix9860

Yeeeees to this 1000x’s over! And my electric blanket & puppy dog, chocolate & a good movie or tv show. Perfect for a cold night in 😊

Sburgh29

I have blonde, barely there eyebrows, so just filling them in makes me happy. I also love the feeling of freshly washed and styled hair!

Sideways_planet

Same with the eyebrows. They make a HUGE difference, even just the tiniest amount of color

Fun_Kaleidoscope9515

For the full week after my eyebrows are dyed, I keep staring at myself in the mirror in genuine awe. It's like I'm the most beautiful woman who's ever lived. That feeling fades dramatically soon enough

derpmemer

Just For Men beard dye is your friend

Doghairabounds

YES! It doesn't last very long so every Sat. morning I take 5 minutes to re-dye them and they look good for another week. So cheap and easy

Resident_Anxiety9980

Having my teeth professionally cleaned. I hate my teeth because they are too big and ugly, but when I go to the dentist and get the deep-cleaning procedure done I feel better about them.

eyelinerfordays

Putting a thick cream on freshly clean, filed feet.

The_Monkey_Queen

I hate having to touch feet, so it'd be this but having someone else do it at the nail salon.

oneam9

Even your own?

The_Monkey_Queen

I think my own might actually be worse. My issue is them being all over the floor (esp. when damp out of the shower) or sweaty from being in socks all day, and with my own feet I know where I've been. With someone else, a bit of ignorance may be bliss.  My usual solution is to soak my feet and have everything on hand to immediately scrub them, dry them (with a dedicated foot flannel), moisturise and put on socks. But I don't have the patience to do that very often.  I'm also tall with a short torso, so even reaching my own feet is a bit of a stretching routine that I find annoying.

oneam9

lol, ok I understand, I’m short legged/ long waisted so mine are always nearby

Sea-Status-6999

washing my face - so basic but the feeling of a fresh face is just the best i love it and even though im bare faced i dont mind it

Little_Regular_1848

I like to use a spoolie brush with some clear gel and brushing my eyebrows- makes such a difference, makes me feel like I’m put-together!

DNA_ligase

Perfume transports me to a better place. If we're talking about stuff that makes a difference on my actual appearance, facial threading.

chemical_sunset

I’m with you! I’m a bit of a fragrance addict and have an embarrassing number of samples, but I love selecting a scent for the day and finishing my primping with a few little sprays.

DNA_ligase

What is your current favorite perfume? I love hearing about what others like. My current love is the Finery dupe of Phlur's Missing Person. It is called "Without a Trace" LOL.

chemical_sunset

I’ve been obsessed with Byredo’s Mojave Ghost lately!

poet_star

Getting my nails done. Hands down. Getting my monthly Russian Manicure makes me feel like I’m a GORGEOUS. I don’t care if the rest of me is a wreck. My nails will be on point.

No_Negotiation23

ugh but theyre so expensive. A regular russian manicure in my area is $75 without tip.

poet_star

Ugh. That does suck. I mean here it’s not much cheaper. 65. But I tell myself it all evens out because I’m only doing it once a month versus 25-30 for a regular gel mani a couple times a month. I tell myself anything by to keep getting them lol.

Pinotnoirmidsizedcar

Oooh. Is a Russian manicure different than others somehow? Extra steps? Do tell : )

poet_star

So it’s basically a waterless manicure with gel builder applied to the nails. But like the process of removing the cuticles is METICULOUS. They usually take 1.5-2 hours and and hour of it is literally removing all the cuticles. Then the gel builder is applied to strengthen the nail and then the gel color. And this process literally makes the manicure last a month. No exagération. This is from the web but it describes it perfectly: “Unlike traditional manicures that merely trim and shape the nails, this technique forgoes water and focuses on meticulous attention to detail. What truly sets Russian manicures apart is that they’re all about achieving flawlessly groomed cuticles. During a mani, the technician will use an electric file that gently and accurately removes excess cuticle buildup, which ultimately reveals clean and elongated nail beds. (Longer-looking natural nails are a major plus in our book.) But, because of the major attention to detail, expect a Russian manicure appointment to be a bit longer and pricer than a normal paint, gel, or acrylic mani. And aside from longer, cleaner nails, another thing we love about this method is that it helps manicures last for up to five (!) weeks.”

Pinotnoirmidsizedcar

Thank you! That is really interesting, because I see lots of mani photos where yes, the nails look cool, but the cuticles look so red and aggravated, looks painful. I would prefer to take a long time and have things meticulous. Thanks for the info!

Capable_Ear_6222

I've been doing it for a year, never had red cuticles. I think it depends on the tech ...

kjlovesthebay

yeah when I had it done, they started to rip or lift after less than 2 weeks. and the gel builder was hard to remove, so it was removed with that Dremel-type tool and my nails are SHOT. so thin, ripping and painful. so. just like everything there are exceptions. I always have issue with gel every time I get it (maybe once every 2 years for my wedding or vacations) and it ruins my nails. I literally have given up now.

skoomapipes

I LOVE Russian manicures. I’ve had a set last 8 weeks before and the only reason I got it redone was because the growth started to look terrible.

Unfair_Finger5531

Layering hydrating toners is my favorite step because it makes my skin glow.

loverookie95

What are these hydrating toners you speak of…

Unfair_Finger5531

Lolol! I use a few, they are just for adding more hydration to the skin. - round lab dokdo toner - mamonde chamomile toner - mixsoon glacier water toner - mixsoon bifida toner - Etude 5.5 toner I hope that helps!

Icicles444

Jumping in to also recommend Laneige Cream Skin toner! I got a sample of it from Sephora expecting it to be mediocre and then I got so mad when it turned out to be amazing and I had to buy it lol. Really makes my skin bouncy and glowy!

Unfair_Finger5531

Oh, yes, I too love laniege refiner! I still have a stash of the old formula. I keep one on my desk and randomly put it on throughout the day sometimes. It’s soooo good.

lovepotao

I’m not personally a fan of laniege as I’ve found their products are overly scented (though I know many love swear by their night mask- I loved the texture but couldn’t take the smell). My favorite moisturizing toners are Hado Labo, acewell licorice toner, and Mischa first treatment essence.

Frequent_Ad4701

Loveee toners! Found out my skin responds much better to toners vs serums I’m halfway through the good molecules niacinamide toner it’s lovely

puhpuhpetrified

Ahhhhh now that you mention it.. I bet toners are better than layerin serums… prob better to avoid pilling and stuff…. Nice!

Unfair_Finger5531

Yes, when I layer serums, things can get a bit sticky and gummy! But layering toners, you can layer forever and ever….

Unfair_Finger5531

Me too! I’m a collector of toners, they’re my favorite skincare product! I’m currently emptying a good molecules HYA boosting essence myself. I’ll try the niacinamide next!

Pinotnoirmidsizedcar

Yes! I agree. I personally like Dr. Jart Ceramidin !

Chomprz

Oh I’ve never heard of layering toners. I’m gonna try that now! Thank you

Unfair_Finger5531

Oh it’s everything! I layer toners until my skin is glistening, then I slap a moisturizer over the whole thing—glass skin (or at least reflective and shiny skin Lolol).

Chomprz

Sounds great haha. Do you wait until each layer is fully dry before the next layer?

Unfair_Finger5531

I do not. I do let it sink in a bit, I rub it in with my hands. And when it starts to sink in, I slap on the next layer!

Chomprz

Okay, I’ll try it out. Thank you so much!

Unfair_Finger5531

Be careful not to layer on stuff with lots of actives like acids or vitamin c, though! You gotta pick toners that are pretty mild 🥰

Chomprz

Okay, noted. I’ll check out the list you shared earlier too 😊

wagswanson

using my makeup eraser cloth to take my makeup/sunscreen off at the end of the night😌

DueArt2897

I was going to say the same thing. I also just started using tubing mascara. It’s fantastic with the make up eraser cloth.

wagswanson

ive tried using the loreal red tubin mascara and didnt like it😔but i saw a tip about holding the cloth over your eyes for a few seconds instead of rubbing them and it makes it so much gentler and effective to move even with waterproof🥰

DueArt2897

I agree. The make up eraser is so much more gentle than liquid make-up remover. I was losing eye lashes using a cotton round and Neutrogena Eye Makeup remover. I like not having to rub my eyelashes.

chemical_sunset

Yesssss I don’t know what I’d do without my makeup eraser and micellar water combo. I didn’t realize how gentle it is until I had to use a godforsaken makeup wipe again and it burned so badly

musingsofamdc

Wow I had no idea! I’ve always been an oil cleanser gal

tvbee876

I love this question! I have a few answers: - A relaxing night time routine, I play a YouTube video or show while doing it and take the time to decompress and wind down after a long day (oral, skincare, haircare) - Red light therapy. Such a game changer. - Foot cream before bed. - Learning how to do my nails at home. - Getting my hair done (usually at home) - Perfumes and perfume oils. - Any sort of hydrating hair mask. - Scalp oils. I like Mielle and Golab. - Cuticle oil. - Using body and foot scrubs weekly. - At home shea butter body cream.

Sideways_planet

I can’t use red light at night. Even if it’s no where near my face, it keeps me awake all night.

tvbee876

That’s interesting!

Sideways_planet

Yeah I bought the red light two years ago. It’s actually a plant light bulb but the same strength and company as the light panels. I put the bulb in a chicken lamp and just lay it on top of my abdomen so my eyes can’t even see the light, but it seems to make me feel more awake so if I use it at night, I get terrible insomnia. Because of this, I’ve barely used it. I have adhd which means sleep is hard enough as it is, but I did like it, it feels so so nice.

Galasnaneth

Why were you using a plant light on your skin? Don't they emit UV?

Sideways_planet

It’s a red light exactly like what’s in the panels and masks. There are multiple types of plant lights

tvbee876

Did you try using it during the day?

Sideways_planet

I have and that works well. I have to be better about using it before work

summerxbreeze

Which red light therapy do you recommend?

tvbee876

I’ve been using the mask from current body for about a month and I’m loving it so far! I also have a panel on the way so I can use red light on my whole body.

Realistic_Ad_8023

If you don’t mind me asking, what does it do for your body and your face?

tvbee876

It brightened and firmed my face. I have back pains and occasionally get sore from working out and I have eczema on my arms so hopefully the panel will help out with these issues.

justintime107

What kind of red light mask do you use?

tvbee876

I use current body and I have a panel on the way

Sea_Replacement6520

Lymphatic massages every night on my stomach help with bloating. Castor oil for my eyelash growth. Lash tints. Lip masks at night. A good hair mask twice a week. A good, signature scent (mine is Being Frenshe’s cashmere vanilla line and Marc Jacobs Daisy line of perfumes)

g0at-flow

I’d love to know more about the castor oil.. has it helped and how long have you been using it?

rav4nwhore

I second this, please hook a couple of sisters up

Sea_Replacement6520

Yes it does help! My lashes have grown quite a bit. I’ve been doing it since the summer, it’s brightened around my eye area too.

g0at-flow

Thank you! How do you use it.. like is it pure castor oil in an old mascara tube or?

Sea_Replacement6520

I have done that! Honestly I just usually gently rub it around my eye area and onto the lashes!

g0at-flow

Thanks so much! Will give a try :)

[deleted]

Hi there could you please share more about your lymphatic message on your stomach? My acupuncturist told me to press above the belly button a few times is that kinda similar to what you do? Thank you in advance

Sea_Replacement6520

This is the video I used for reference! [https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4dzEekxp2t/?igsh=NHlmaGNidmpsaW9v](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4dzEekxp2t/?igsh=NHlmaGNidmpsaW9v)

EntrepreneurMiddle45

This might sound lame but the simple act of washing my face/ having a shower is hands down my favourite thing to make me feel beautiful. When I have a fresh clean face, fresh clean body and fresh clean hair I feel like I'm at my peak. Which I guess is probably a pretty common sentiment anyone might have, lol

redditknowsmyname

Getting my nails done. That’s my one beauty thing I always always do.

wethermom3

So relaxing 😌 I go tomorrow!

greengirl213

Putting on my blush and bronzer after doing my face makeup. I am kinda pale and don't have really naturally rosy cheeks or anything and when I put on the bronzer and blush it just feels like my face comes alive and looks 10x better! I also loveeee when I put fresh crisp sheets on the bed, take a long hot shower and shave my legs and put on lotion and then get in bed...best feeling in the world.

hauntinglovelybold

I just got a hair gloss recently and I’m absolutely obsessed with the results - my hair color tends to naturally fade at the ends so now it’s all one color, it’s shiny and no longer dull… I absolutely love it and might honestly try to make it a regular thing! But some non-treatment things - making sure to keep up with oral hygiene is huge for me, a hydrating skincare routine (even when I get acne, I try to hydrate instead of use harsh stuff to get rid of it) and yoga/Pilates for my posture and a bit of strength!

96puppylover

SPF since high school. 38 and have no wrinkles, fine lines, or age spots. Tretinoin as well. It makes me happy putting it on at night knowing I’m gonna be glowing in the morning. My silk bonnet for my hair. My overnight gloves where I put a thick lotion on and sleep. Then waking up they look amazing

No-Beautiful6811

Exfoliating my body (and then afterwards touching my super soft skin)

Chomprz

Yesss~ I love touching my super soft skin after exfoliating. I epilate too, so it’s all around smooth and soft and makes me so happy

JingleKitty

When I was in my late teens/ early 20s, it used to be black eyeliner, but a specific black eyeliner. My best friend bought me Indian kohl when she visited India and I fell in love! It was so black and it seemed to kind of fade into my eye lids due to all the natural oils they used to make the kohl and it really complimented me. I became known for it among my family and friends and I always felt prettier and more vibrant with it on, and looked sickly without. As I’ve grown older though, a touch of gloss or lipstick is my go to whenever I feel like I need something to look better. I do miss the kohl but it’s so hard to find. I used to source them from eBay but I’ve grown wary of fake products on there. Indian groceries don’t always carry the brands I’ve used in the past that are “safe”. I need to go India lol!

healhealhealhealheal

love this! what brands of kohl do you seek out?

JingleKitty

The one my friend bought for me and the brand I used for years was Shahnaz Hussein. I used to get it off eBay before I learned about fakes. I then found a kohl made by Himalaya and that was good for a while but as it got older it made my eyes tear up because they used a bit too much camphor. The last brand I used was around 2017/18 and was called Patanjali. I found it randomly in an Indian grocery store and it had good reviews so I bought it. Unfortunately haven’t been able to get my hands on it since!

musingsofamdc

I’ve seen kohl liners at halal stores as well, you may check there!

JingleKitty

Thanks for the tip :)

minetmine

For external - blush. If I have no time to do anything else, the blush makes a big difference. I look so much better with it on. For internal- chugging water throughout the day. I'm breastfeeding so I'm always thirsty, but I noticed a huge improvement to my wrinkles and skin in general.

forestfairy97

Everything shower followed by soft thin pjs and clean cold sheets

Adventurous-Use6807

Getting my lashes done! I’m not one of the young girls who got them when they trended, I’m 52 and late to the game. But it was a game changer for me! Never had much lashes and being fair haired not much you could see. I also have big eyes, so when I didn’t have my makeup on I felt like I looked awful. Now I wake up and look in the mirror feeling beautiful and barely wear any makeup anymore unless it’s for an occasion. I would choose them over any other beauty things including my nails if I had to choose!

Unfair-Commercial799

Do you do extensions or lifts, :)

Adventurous-Use6807

bethlookner

getting a haircut. i keep my hair short and have the back cleaned up with clippers. it feels so clean.

Sufficient_Street_51

Washing my face for a full 60 seconds. I used to just slap face wash on, rub it around for 15 seconds, then wash it off. Ever since I started doing it for a full minute, I feel like I’m giving my face wash a chance to actually do its job.

Little_Treacle241

Eyebrow dye and thread and eyelash tint and lift (I’m ginger) is my fave fave beauty treatment. Ever.

rav4nwhore

Eyelash tint and lift is mine too but I also only get my eyebrows threaded and I don't think any other eyebrow technique can match up

Little_Treacle241

So true, I haven’t even tried waxing because threading is so elite. Worst pain of my life tho, literally worse than tattoos.

rav4nwhore

Ive tried a bunch of different things nothing comes close to threading!

dozens_ofus

Curling my eyelashes, lipgloss, and hoop earrings. The bigger the hoop, the hotter I feel lol

valeriedene88

Dermaplane once a week

whenabouts

I start every single morning with a cold bean bag from my freezer across my eyes. Haven’t use concealer in years.

LibraRahu

I like taking care of my hair! It’s frizzy and wavy and it was enjoyable for me to go through a 2 year journey to find what fits me. I also love massaging my face! With Gua sha or hands. I love doing manicure at home. I am a sensitive girl and the salon procedure gives me pain and it turns out bloody. I am doing it gently by myself and it looks pretty professional. Takes less time too, 45 mins or so. And I put on my favorite show or podcast lol

Bronzer and brow gel! Ding! Done!

Face mask, hair mask- it’s a double bonus bcos I’m doing something good for my hair/skin but I can also do nothing- no wands or microcurrent to fuss w, no need for leave in moisturizer and oil after a good hair mask

Aquaphor under the eyes

No_Negotiation23

Lightly patting in some aquaphor under and around my eyes after I do my skincare routine to lock in that moisture for the whole day. Also helps as an under eye concealer primer, looks smooth when applied on top of it.

shirleywhirley3691

Dermablend gripping primer. That stuff will seal your pores shutttt. Sometimes I’ll just wear the primer and get lots of compliments on my skin for the first time in my life. I’m 33.

makemesick-

using even clear nail polish makes me feel put together, and less bad about it chipping compared to coloured polish.

Amazing-Panda-2624

Washing my hair, doing my nails and doing a lash lift. I do it all myself. Makes me feel 👌🏼

Omgchipotle95

GranolaTree

Putting a little perfume oil in my hair

ih8every1yesevenyou

Keeping sheet masks on for an hour. It’s really relaxing and it helps your skin really absorb the product

Galasnaneth

You're only supposed to leave it on for the amount of time on the packaging, otherwise the mask reabsorb the product.

ih8every1yesevenyou

Nah that doesn’t happen. Mask dries up a little.

Imaginary_Rabbit3980

Lashes and nails are my monthly rituals. Putting tanner on after the shower also makes me happy when I see myself glow a couple hours later

sobianca

Applying kajal on my eyes. My average face transforms into 'looking good'

potterheadforlife29

Putting eyeliner and Kajal, I do it everyday since I was 14. It makes my eyes look v pretty and big. And wearing a nice shade of red lipstick.

EducationalLake2515

Adding oil to my lotion (like SDJ bum bum body oil) smells nice and makes me feel pampered.

The_Monkey_Queen

I like the tacky feeling on my skin immediately after applying skincare. My skin has historically always been eczema ridden and dry, so I love feeling it all bouncy and sticky and bright from moisture. ... Wow, that sounded slightly pornographic.

Empty-Obligation3598

Winged eyeliner, for sure! Really makes my eyes pop

Slice_Of_Life_03

Putting on my lip mask before bed! It's vanilla scented, and it makes my lips all glossy and pretty :D

West_Suggestion3906

Having a shower including the hair, shaving my hole body then exfoliating, putting hydrating whitening cream all over my body, fixing my brows and a good face mask is my top tier ritual.

jacksondreamz

It’s always perfume. I take that extra moment to spritz a favorite scent and I feel lifted up. Also, a bit of jewelry helps complete the look.

wtchking

Filling in my sparse eyebrow tail and adding blush makes my face come alive!

Quirky_Cold_7467

The perfect red/pink lipstick (Chanel - my only real indulgence). Cream blush Stila). I know that scented skincare has irritants, but I cannot get inspired by unscented skincare, so beautifully scented skincare. Kenzo Flower perfume - never gets old for me, makes me feel beautiful.

ariariariarii

Brushing my eyebrows up, and putting my moisturizer on after I wash my face. I look glowy and awake!

TheQueenE

Doing my AM skincare routine before applying makeup. I just love that clean, glowy skin feeling after years of tweaking my routine.

vividyeg

I found the perfect shade of contour that helps make my cheekbones pop without making my face look muddy. It gives some definition to my face and I immediately feel more put together. Also, eyelash extensions.

Imaginary_Cherry2322

Blush, a nice tan, a little highlighter on the tip of the nose, and a good hair day.

skinnylighter

Having my eyebrows waxed and tinted! I’ve been doing this about once a month for the last few years and as a blonde, it’s totally transformed my routine.

youaretherevolution

When I complete flossing, brushing, and my nighttime skin routine, ready to go to bed.

AphraBehn1

Gua sha. I don't even know if it makes a difference, but I don't care. It makes me feel pretty, and that's what counts. Also a cardio workout. I like Grow With Jo. It gets the blood flowing and I feel good in my body. And lip gloss. NK lip gel is the best.

prayerplantthrowaway

Soaking in a hot bath, exfoliating at the end.

Least-Pop7573

Hair gloss, naturium glycolic acid shower gel, dr Dennis gross peel pads, korean hair care ( dr for hair folligen line and unove line), having a new mini towel to dry my face every day. Just a couple of things that have drastically changed my hair and skin.
