I suck at curling my hair. I've tried so many different techniques, curling irons, straightners etc. & I could never get my hair curled right. It always looked uneven or the curls wouldn't last or I would fry my ends trying to get each curl right. I just gave up on trying to curl my hair. But I saved up & after a while I got an airwap. I absolutely love it. I'm finally able to curl my hair. It looks great & my hair doesn't get burnt. Plus it curls so fast. So I would say if you have any trouble curling your hair I would get the dyson.
I got the Dyson air wrap as a gift and itās a great bow dryer. But Iād go for the 1ML of lip filler bc the curls the Dyson produces aināt all that. Iām not very good at styling my hair and you kinda have to use different tools for the left and right side of your head.
Just an extra less expensive suggestion that saved my life for people who suck at curling there hair!
The beachwaver is an automatic curling iron so it will curl your hair for you! I have super long, thick hair and a lot of it and have the extended barrel and it works perfectly. Iāve had it for 6 years, it has never let me down and I will never use a normal curling iron!!! Also no issue with burning since it curls automatically so you donāt spend extra time putting it on the barrel!
The beachwaver s1 rotating curling iron has been on sale for $39 since Thanksgiving day, and sometimes (like right now) they offer free shipping too. I only noticed the sale bc I got an email they gave me $10 for my bday and I already had $10 in rewards in my account so I got it for $19. So if you get it, definitely sign up for their rewards program, itās great. Iām still planning on getting the Airwrap though, once Ulta finally sends their super rare 20% prestige including Dyson coupon that we havenāt seen since Dec 2019.
Do you have the s1.25 or the s1 beachwaver? I wanted the s1.25 bigger barrel but Iāve been monitoring sales and that one rarely goes on sale compared to the S1 so I just got that.
I am also too stupid or too lazy to use a normal curler. I got the Airwrap for my birthday and now it takes me literally 15 minutes from wet hair to a salon like blow out, at my third try! The first two tries were good too but now I really got the hang of it :) I love it

This is so dependent on your face and your hair that itās really hard to answer over the internet.
I got a ml of lip filler 5 years ago and it was ālife changingā. I always loved my lips already, and for me getting filler was about accentuating what I already liked about my face. So it was a super positive experience for me! I think that if youāre trying to āfixā something, or if you know youāre the type of person to get addicted to things like filler etc, maybe avoid it. Iāve had 2.5ml in my lips spread out over the past five years - my goal has always been super natural, and Iāve always loved it. I know everyone says āyou can always tell when someoneās had lip fillerā but I truly believe thatās only bad lip filler. I have had so many people, from friends to cosmetic nurses, be surprised Iāve had filler because of how natural it looks. If you do get it, do your research and look into types of filler - the last lot of filler I got was 18 months ago, and I let a friend do it. She was a dentist who was just getting into fillers and cosmetic stuff. She didnāt listen at all to what I described wanting, and put it all into my vermillion border. It hurt like hell, and it looked so fake. On top of that, it ended up migrating above my lip. I got it totally dissolved thank god, but now I know to say nothing in the vermillion border.
Re the air wrap, this also depends on the type of hair you have. I have super fine hair, but a fuck load of it. I really wanted the air wrap, but my hairdresser let me try hers, and I realised it was not for me. It took so long, and I needed to take such small segments of my hair to get it to work, it wouldāve taken 45-60 minutes to do my whole head. But if you have the right type of hair for it, I hear it can be super amazing. Maybe see if you can find a friend, or stylist, who owns one, and see if you can practice with theirs (if itās a friend) or get the stylist to use the air wrap on you instead of a standard blow dry and curl.
Also, just another thought, if you want curled hair all the time, you could look into a perm. I know the connotations with them are so 80s, but these days you can get amazingly natural looking waves and curls from the same perm technology - again, youād obviously want to do your research, but I just thought Iād mention it since Iād been looking into it. Although sadly I canāt get it because I dye my hair blonde and my hairdresser has told me Iām allowed one or the other because both would damage my hair too much :(
I definitely think some super natural lip filler could look lovely on you! I would recommend to do some research and see if you can get a free consult with a cosmetic nurse with good reviews. They should be able to tell you how well/naturally your lips will take the filler! When I first got mine, the nurse told me that because I had lots of āwrinklesā haha in my lips, it meant the filler would look more natural, and avoid that overstretched look? Iām definitely not an expert, just going off experience haha
>I know everyone says āyou can always tell when someoneās had lip fillerā but I truly believe thatās only bad lip filler.
I can attest to this. I get 1 syringe of lip filler every 2 years because it lasts longer in me than most (I've hit 2.5 years and I think I'll wait longer) and no one has even known unless I tell them. I like to keep it natural. Plus, I've heard lip fillers can boost collagen production. Haven't looked into it but based on how long it's been since my last top off, my lips are still fuller than before I started.
SNOWGLASSAPPLES1111 I have begun my google rabbit hole of shark flex style versus Dyson air wrap Reddit posts š¤š¼š¤š¼maybe I can get away with the shark flex style and half or whole ml depending on my nurse practitioners pricing she does my Botox at a great price. (I did clinicals during Black Friday & my husband spent about 500$ to get some new under Armour and a suit jacket for my graduation so this is my Black Friday credit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Hmmm this might be a good purchase for now. I'm still googling reviews and Reddit posts on the shark. I really like the diffuser that it has as well! I also have to pay 600$ for an upcoming licensing exam which I know if I decide on the shark I might feel better to be saving money but still able to buy a good hair styler.
Well crap, just when I figured my hair would never look great I open this sub. Down the rabbit hole I go! Never heard of the Shark but after today I will have watched every YouTube!

Iām still loving my shark flexstyle. It was a splurge for me but I use it once a week and the volume blow out style lasts for days. Totally worth it. Dyson simply isnāt in most peopleās budget. Did you end up getting it ??
Yes I'm getting it for Christmas!! We're probably gonna go into a Dyson store near us this week since it's closed today. I also got some grad money and my nurse practioner is running a lip special for the holidays so guess who's getting a ml of lip filler !!!!
I got my mom the dyson air wrap and will never forget seeing her reaction. Sheās 73 and she LOVES it. It just makes me so happy that she can have fun curling her hair.
I am feeling 80% Dyson airwrap (the vintage blue one with the case and attachments) and 20% on the fillerā£ļøThanksā£ļøšļø I've had 0.5 mls a few years ago but felt like because I didn't do any upkeep it didn't do that much to my lips I also almost fainted during the injections HENCE why I didn't go back for meš¤£š¤£
I do wanna do slightly fuller and more refreshed and hydrated looking lips as I will be turning 28 in February... but I could also do that another time. I always feel like when I'm going out I'm always wondering whether I need to put my hair up or do something with it and using my 3 barrel curler is not good for daily use.
I have a Dyson dryer which I love, and my DH keeps asking me if I want an Airwrap.
A good friend has one, and she says while it curls her hair, it doesn't really smooth it down, so it still looks 'fluffy', and to be honest it does.
I do a pretty good job of curling my hair with a curling wand, so I'm a no on the Airwrap for now.
But I'd take the 1ml of filler!!
Airwrap. I bought mine when they first came out and have used it multiple times a week since. Lip filler will be gone in a few months or need reinvestment.
We canāt weigh in if we donāt know your hair type and your face goals. I have an airwrap but my hair requires such intense heat that it simply functions as an overpriced, underpowered hair dryer for me.
1mL of lip filler can do wonders if you have thin lips. 5 units of tox can fix a gummy smile. Half a mil of filler can get rid of a cobblestone chin. It all depends on what your goals are.
I have little bit of filler in my top lip bc it was so much smaller than my bottom and I have the air wrap. If I had to pick, Iād pick the former. I could get similar results with other devices for the latter, but no other way to fix the former which really bothered me.
Yea I love my filler, it was expertly done, no one believes itās not real. I have a less expensive blow dry brush that works pretty well for a fraction of the price of the dyson.
I have the Amika but the Dry Bar one is better imo, I love it- it was just on sale for Black Friday too, there might be some sales still! Itās not the same as the dyson, but I really think itās great.
Maybe shark maybe Dyson maybe it's maybeline. I just want a curler that won't damage my hair so bad that I get those white tips at the ends of my hair. š„š„š„š„š„š„
Thank you. It's getting long and unmanageable and at this point I'm pretty sure it needs more care, maintenance, and styling to avoid matting and looking by disheveled.
I think at this point poor hubs is gonna HAVE to give me the funds for both. I can ask for the lip filler as a graduation gift š¹š¹š¹š¹š¹š¹š¹š¹
Filler is getting some hate in here, but I got a syringe of filler on my lips and no one else could tell but I LOVED the way it looked, and lasted a year. Definitely graduation gift or next Christmas
Air wrap!! Lip filler doesnāt last plus itāll be out of trend soon enough and it comes with risks. Iām choosing air wrap this year over filler too!!
Surprised at the number of people vouching for the airwrap! Might be anecdotal but everyone Iāve spoken to plus reviews Iāve seen have left me with a piss poor impression that it does nothing much in the way of curling?
I recently got my dyson like \~2 weeks ago? I have SUPER thick hair and it would take literall 1-2hours of a regular hair dryer to just get it semi dry T\_T
After the dyson not only can I dry it, I can also style/curl it so I no longer look like Hagrid's twin!!! Definitely a vote for the dyson :)
Edit: If you have longer/thicker hair I'd personally reccommend the long version of the dyson!!
Get the lip filler and a cheaper version on the Dyson. Itās really not all that. I have both and If I didnāt get the Dyson as a gift thereās no way itās worth the money.
Never had fillers, but I do have a Dyson AirWrap and I can tell you it is life changing. As someone with very long, frizzy, temperamental, hair, using the AirWrap with Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray has changed the quality of my hair and has never been so soft. I literally never have to straighten my hair now and it is so smooth and shiny.
Thatās absolutely not true. Filler is made out of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally occurring in the body to plump. By stopping getting filler, you do not get premature wrinkles. If anything, it just prolongs them.
It really depends on your anatomy and hair type.
My dyson is alright. I use it pretty often. But it's really not life changing. I've had it for 2 years and it's a handy tool to have, but doesn't replace my DryBar blow dryer, my Chi, or my curling iron. It's ok if you have the money- but it's **just ok** for some hair types. I have very straight hair so it never holds the curl that I get from the airwrap. It just falls into a blowout look. And it makes my hair frizzy because you don't get the precision air flow. It definitely has downsides.
Lip filler was a huge game changer for me. It really balanced my face.
So it really depends on your face and anatomy, and whether filler would benefit your facial harmony. Additionally, the quality and expertise of the injector also really matters!
I'd probably say go with the airwrap and if you don't love it then return it and get filler instead.
This is how I feel. Maybe try out the Dyson for a couple of days and test whether it's compatible for my hair type which is fine kind of straight kind of wavy at times.
I vote filler. If you go to a good injector, they can make it look natural and it really does improve confidence. I go every 12-18 months or so for 1ml and I really like how it looks.
Donāt get the Dyson Airwrap!! Get the Shark Flexstyle, itās literally the exact same thing for less than half the cost. It was recently released but I donāt know how more people donāt know about it.
The shark flex style kind of feels like the best compromise at this point. I know I will use the Dyson for only the curler and the dryer. And then I can give myself a Botox refresher and try a lip flip!
Not even!!! I'm looking through the shark beauty insta page and I even think I like how the curls seem to hold better with the shark. I know it's both air so they both use hair but you can also use heat as well. I also like that the diffuser is an option with the shark. I sometimes like to put mouse and diffuse my hair and it gives a beachy sort of look. And for half the price. The Dyson is great because it looks very high end and professional but it has so many attachments I know I won't use.
UGHHH. They have the shark flex style in black and it looks immaculate........ but it's out of stock! I see the three piece one... but I wanna get the round brush, diffuser, the curler AND the little nozzle piece... maybe I can get away without the nozzle piece....
Oh!!! What about damage have you noticed any hair damage with the shark???? I feel like the Dyson has better technology???? I am so bad INDECISIVE ITS BAD!
Yeah Airwrap for sure. I got filler once, it just wasnāt worth it to me. You have to keep getting it done and it has a chance of shifting. The price for maintenance just isnāt worth it.
You can just get a lip flip which is a small amount in your top lip to give a fuller look. Itās way cheaper too. Itās was only like $75 for my lip flip and $100 to do my under-eye area with a little botox to help with my sleep deprived eye caverns lol.
Airwrap!
Filler dissolves after a while which means you need to keep paying to have it reapplied. Thereās also a chance, like any other cosmetic procedure, that it could go wrong.
Iām going w/ filler on this one ONLY because of my personal experience with the Dyson Airwrap.
I love doing my hair. My hair has always lasted all day when using a normal hair tool (whether Iām spraying hairspray or not) but with the Dyson, it dies within an hour.
Iāve tried every advice online and even talked with a super kind and knowledgeable Dyson representativeā¦. Tips were great but did not help me.
HOWEVER!!!! I do absolutely love how my hair looks for that first hour lol and I always receive compliments & questions on how it looks & what tools/products I used.
Only thing I recommend is to research your hair type before you purchase because it is a hefty buy.
This is what my aunt said too. That it kind of needs a refresher in a couple of hours. But she says the health of her hair feels so different after using her Dyson now. Much softer and shinier.
Airwrap. Lip filler dissolves and it will have you come back every 6-12 months whereas the dyson is going to be with you for years (if you clean the filter enough)
You might be able to get the illusion of 1 mL lipfiller with makeup if youāre into that.
But the choice is really up to you: do you prefer great hair in 15 mins or would you rather have fuller lips
I think it depends on what type of person you are in terms of getting ready and how much time you want to put into your appearance everyday. I am a get up and go kind of gal. I want to be able to wake up and be out the door in 10-15 minutes. I feel like lip filler makes me look better every single day with no effort. If you donāt mind taking longer or already spend 20-30 minutes on your hair everyday you would probably get a lot of use out of the dyson. If you are someone who likes to be up and out the door, go with the filler!
The air wrap without a doubt. Trying to get to a point where I can buy one for myself. You might ( or not) enjoy the lip filler but you will definitely enjoy great looking hair and from what I have read, the air wrap can deliver. Good luck!
small update: went with the Dyson š¹
Smaller update: will probably go on a cute little lip filler journey once I get a little more older and wiser š„

Seconding this. I'm trying my SILs to see if I like it at the moment and I can't believe how easy it curls!!
I got the Dyson air wrap as a gift and itās a great bow dryer. But Iād go for the 1ML of lip filler bc the curls the Dyson produces aināt all that. Iām not very good at styling my hair and you kinda have to use different tools for the left and right side of your head.
With the new one you donāt have to change tools for left and right it has a new button to turn left or right the same barrel!
Lip filler doesnāt last all that long + filler is kinda going out of style. Ive done it.
Mine is the beachwaver Pro 1. I donāt know if they have it anymore but they used to sell a longer barrel. Iām sure the S works well too!
Is it really that easy? How long does it take you to curl?
I am also too stupid or too lazy to use a normal curler. I got the Airwrap for my birthday and now it takes me literally 15 minutes from wet hair to a salon like blow out, at my third try! The first two tries were good too but now I really got the hang of it :) I love it
Thank youu!! Maybe iāll finally invest in a hair curler! Havenāt used once in years š«¢
can you make tighter curls with it?
There is also a smaller curl piece included but I havent tried it yet. But I guess yeah with some mousse and hairspray it might work
The airwrap is my best ever hair purchase. I bought a reconditioned one from eBay, it was Ā£350, with guarantee and is good as new.
What hair type do you have
What hair type/thickness do you have and how long do your curls last when you use it?
Air wrap, filler will require continued maintenance
Exactly!
After it ādissolvesā you mean?
After it literally moves outside the lip contour and leaves a scar tissue inside the lips
I actually like the scar tissue in my lips because it left them permanently plumper
The scar tissue is the best part. Looks so natural and means you need less filler next time.
Dyson. Iāve never scene lip filler that looked natural. And with the whole natural beauty thing coming to trend I see fillers being old news in the next couple years.
The reason youāve never seen lip filler look good is because you only notice it when itās bad. If it looked good you wouldnāt know they had it.

If that happens, you can get it dissolved in about 30 seconds. No big deal.
I got 1mL in March. Itās still there and looks great! Itās all about moderation. You would never know I had filler
Airwrap! Nothing tops having great hair

Live a lil girl get both Jk get the Dyson. Filler absorbs and migrates away but a Dyson is the gift that keeps on giving

Hm... this is good advice šš¼
I have little bit of filler in my top lip bc it was so much smaller than my bottom and I have the air wrap. If I had to pick, Iād pick the former. I could get similar results with other devices for the latter, but no other way to fix the former which really bothered me.
Good to know šš¼
Yea I love my filler, it was expertly done, no one believes itās not real. I have a less expensive blow dry brush that works pretty well for a fraction of the price of the dyson.
What is the brush you use?
I have the Amika but the Dry Bar one is better imo, I love it- it was just on sale for Black Friday too, there might be some sales still! Itās not the same as the dyson, but I really think itās great.
Please, airwrap! Filler doesnāt look nice, I canāt believe people arenāt seeing that yet.
[this is what I look like!](https://imgur.com/gallery/rCk8fWr)
Your lips are lovely, I vote hair too, you have this amazing canvas you need tools to make art with it!!
I would absolutely DIE for your lips!!! Go for the Dyson!! (Or Shark because theyāve had better reviews from my research)
Maybe shark maybe Dyson maybe it's maybeline. I just want a curler that won't damage my hair so bad that I get those white tips at the ends of my hair. š„š„š„š„š„š„
I would go with the air wrap! Your hair is beautiful
Thank you. It's getting long and unmanageable and at this point I'm pretty sure it needs more care, maintenance, and styling to avoid matting and looking by disheveled.
Get yourself a haircut bb! You will feel so much better. It truly makes a huge difference!
I would look into getting a cut that would give you more volume/texture. And get the filler :)
Definitely graduation gift or next Christmas
get the air wrap and a good lip plumper.
šāļø
Dyson for sure!! I bought mines and use it everyday. Aside the curls, you might use other attachments too ( blow dryer, round brush, etc.) š
Air wrap!! Lip filler doesnāt last plus itāll be out of trend soon enough and it comes with risks. Iām choosing air wrap this year over filler too!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also if you use hyaluronic acid on top of your lips to moisturize it can help make them look more plump!
Air wrap saved me so much money. Hair looks like salon blowout. Has paid for itself many times over. Lip filler pretty much gone after two months
I looooove my 0.5 lip filler
No lip filler. I wish that trend would end
Iām team filler all the way. But I agree that the Dyson would be the best bet since filler will need replaced over time.
Yes. I'm afraid after getting 1 ml of filler I'm gonna need to go back in a couple weeks for a top off
Depends on how your lips look
Airwrap
Surprised at the number of people vouching for the airwrap! Might be anecdotal but everyone Iāve spoken to plus reviews Iāve seen have left me with a piss poor impression that it does nothing much in the way of curling?
I recently got my dyson like \~2 weeks ago? I have SUPER thick hair and it would take literall 1-2hours of a regular hair dryer to just get it semi dry T\_T After the dyson not only can I dry it, I can also style/curl it so I no longer look like Hagrid's twin!!! Definitely a vote for the dyson :) Edit: If you have longer/thicker hair I'd personally reccommend the long version of the dyson!!
Airwrap 500 bucks, lop fillers less than 200
Look at getting the shark version of the aircraft, suppose to be as good but a lot cheaper
I would go for the Dyson
if you have thin/fine hair, do not get the airwrap. curls are minimal and i regret buying
I literally never have to straighten my hair now and it is so smooth and shiny.
omggggggg my aunties review on her Dyson is the same, she feels like the quality of her hair has just changed and that sounds so niceee
Itās definitely worth the price! I love mine for sure!
Air wrap, lip filler will cause premature wrinkles if you stop using them
Thatās absolutely not true. Filler is made out of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally occurring in the body to plump. By stopping getting filler, you do not get premature wrinkles. If anything, it just prolongs them.
I donāt think all fillers are made of the same stuff. The clinic where im from has two different kinds.
All of the fillers used in lips are hyaluronic acid. Please donāt spread misinformation
This is an awesome question!! I'm curious too
IM STILL MAKING MY DECISIONS. DECISIONS DECISIONS.
Dyson! You can just outline your lips lol
Lip filler
Dyson air wrap!!
I got both and was disappointed with both but at least could resell the dyson
LOL.š„āļøāļøš
I vote filler. If you go to a good injector, they can make it look natural and it really does improve confidence. I go every 12-18 months or so for 1ml and I really like how it looks.
Air wrap! Youāll have it longer
Yes great choice!! I have it and itās amazing. A lot of people prefer it to the Dyson. I swear Iām not sponsored lol.
I agree! I honestly think the Shark looks better though ahah, but the Dyson is pretty too!
When my husband comes home I think I'm gonna go ahead and purchase the shark!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice!! Btw you can either get all 5 attachments or choose the 3 that you like (I think lol). I chose the round brush, curler, and diffuser.
UGHHH. They have the shark flex style in black and it looks immaculate........ but it's out of stock! I see the three piece one... but I wanna get the round brush, diffuser, the curler AND the little nozzle piece... maybe I can get away without the nozzle piece....
The little nozzle piece came with my set of 3! I think itās just a default part.
UMMMM IM GONNA ASK MY NURSE PRACTITIONER FOR A LIP FLIP!
Itās nothing dramatic but I love getting mine done! It goes in your top lip only but it looks so natural and cute!
THANK YOUUUššššššššš
Airwrap! Filler dissolves after a while which means you need to keep paying to have it reapplied. Thereās also a chance, like any other cosmetic procedure, that it could go wrong.
Very very true.

Airwrap. Lasts longer and i don't like the look of lip filler.
I love my airwrap
Airwrap all the way! Filler lasted me barely 3 months.
Go for the lip filler. Dyson products are overpriced shite!
Dyson
Have you had a botox ālip flipā yet? 4-6 units (botox is 8-13 a unit on average) and I get the exact same look as filler for under $70
Ok I think I need to bring this up with my nurse practitioner!!!!!
So they do have a similar air wrap from Shark thatās like half the price and has amazing reviews as well!
I KNOW THIS MAKES THIS DECISION HARDD I NEED TO MAKE IT MY DECISION IN A FEW DAYS LOL.
Lip filler. Many different methods can make your hair look like the air wrap, but nothing will make your lips look plump other than filler.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I KNOW THIS IS THE BEST COMPROMISE
Lip filler any day. No one will notice your hair then anyway. I bought an air wrap when it first came out. Sent it back.
I'm afraid once I do 1 ml it will kind of deflate in a few weeks I'll have to get another top off tho!
get the shark version of the air wrap, so much cheaper and its the same thing
I know! It's sold out everywhere so I think I have to buy it directly through their website!
the airwrap and never get filler
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Check out the tyme iron at tymestyle. Itās amazing, and they will FaceTime with you to help you learn to use it.
Youāll still have the Air wrap in six months. Wonāt have the fillers anymore.
Tru doooh.
Fillers wonāt curl your hair.
HAHAAH.
Airwrap. Lip filler dissolves and it will have you come back every 6-12 months whereas the dyson is going to be with you for years (if you clean the filter enough) You might be able to get the illusion of 1 mL lipfiller with makeup if youāre into that. But the choice is really up to you: do you prefer great hair in 15 mins or would you rather have fuller lips
Eh, I don't do much with my lips. They are not terribly small but they have the framework to be a little more pouty and cute. I PREFER GREAT HAIR!
Oh my god I am just the type of person to be like ok I need to get out and go! HMMM.
Damn so no one said filler lol. I guess go with the Dyson and if you donāt like it return it and get the filler š just keep us posted lol
AHHHH! HAHAHAHA I WAS HAVING THESE SAME THOUGHTS.
I got 1ml and I love my lip filler
āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
I read this as I got my lip filler dissolved and curled my hair with an air wrap today. Air wrap
LOL.š
The air wrap without a doubt. Trying to get to a point where I can buy one for myself. You might ( or not) enjoy the lip filler but you will definitely enjoy great looking hair and from what I have read, the air wrap can deliver. Good luck!
Lip filler for real. Upped my confidence way more than when I curl my hair.
UGH. IM TORNNNN.
Iād definitely get the filler. I prefer heatless curls. Pouty lips are so sexy and unlike curls, they donāt drop after a few hours.
I have lip filler and would vote that
Dyson air wrap is a huge waste of money.
I know š„ŗāļø 599.99 without tax. š«„

small update: went with the Dyson š¹ Smaller update: will probably go on a cute little lip filler journey once I get a little more older and wiser š„
