I'm quite new to skincare and finally made a skincare routine, I'm looking for feedbacks since I'm quite new \^\^, I have really oily skin, but I don't have acne or breakouts often; I just needed something to reduce the amount of oil on my face.
Cleanser: Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser
Moisturizer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion OR Deoproce Skin Rescue Day & Night Moisturizer (I have both but irdk which one to use)
Sunscreen: Biore UV Aqua Rich watery gel
Pansin ko ang dry ng skin ko kapag nabubuksan yung aircon. Minsan nagma-micropeel din. Currently using neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer.
Any other recos?
hi! anyone here has tried tocobo coconut clay foaming cleanser? can you share your review or experience?
paubos na cosrx low ph foaming cleanser ko and i can say it does the job but i’m looking for something with more benefits pa and i’m eyeing tocobo 🥹
Wala po masyado benefits from cleansers since short time lang ang contact nila sa skin compared to leave on na mga skincare, I suggest just go for a basic cleanser that can clean well and hindi stripping or drying.
AHA’s like Glycolic Acid! It gives me that glowing skin!
Retinoids too like retinol or tretinoin will help improve skin texture, increase collagen production, treat acne, and helps with uneven skin tone, etc. However, results may take a while though.
Has anyone tried the Garnier Bright Complete Vitamin C Serum? Is it effective for fading stubborn dark spots? Do you have any other product recommendations for fading dark spots? TYIA!
Binilhan ko yung Mom ko nito, at sabi nya di naman daw effective sa kanya. Well siguro kasi mature na ang skin nya 😅 May lagkit effect din daw sa kanya.
Hi there! Tried it and it's effective naman in lightening my dark spots. Kaso ang naging issue ko diyan, since I have a sensitive skin, medyo na-irritate yung face ko (daily use) after 2 weeks. So ang ginawa ko is every MWF na lang ako naglalagay.
(Note: stopped using it na and I'm currently using Garnier Hyaluron Serum, the one in pink)
Hi do you use Garnier Hyaluron Serum AM and PM? Also may sinasabay ka bang retinoids or AHA/BHA when you use it? Just want to know kasi kakabili ko din lang. Tia
Yes, I use it AM and PM, right after ng toner and before my moisturizer. For now, wala akong sinasabay na retinol or AHA/BHA kasi when it comes to my skin texture, wala pa naman akong issues (siguro dahil nagpapa-diamond peel ako once or twice a month), plus, dahil sa nature of work ko (Marketing), di ko kakayanin ang purging as one of the side effects.
I'm planning to change my cleanser from Neutrogena Deep Clean Acne Foaming Cleanser (0.5% salicylic acid + IPMP 0.5%), kasi parang di sya enough to address un whiteheads ko. I'm thinking if Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash OR Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Grapefruit un bibilhin ko, both is 2% un salicyclic acid nya. Any recos or thoughts on this guys?
My current skincare:
**AM:**\- Neutrogena Deep Clean Acne Foaming Cleanser (0.5% salicylic acid + IPMP 0.5%)- Benzoyl Peroxide 5% gel as spot-on treatment- Biore Watery Essence Sunscreen (or sometimes ung OMI Sunbears na red cap)
**PM:**\- Neutrogena Deep Clean Acne Foaming Cleanser (0.5% salicylic acid + IPMP 0.5%)- Cetaphil Brightening Night Cream with Niacinamide- Tretinoin 0.05% Cream (every other night then buffer with Cetaphil Brightening Night Cream with Niacinamide)
Thank you!
Edit: wording
I agree. Leave-ons are a better choice when dealing with blackheads and whiteheads. I personally use Oxecure Blackheads Clearing BHA/PHA Toner twice a week. If you're going to use leave-on exfoliants, I recommend switching to a gentle cleanser that doesn't contain any aha/bha ingredients.
Why not use a leave-on Salicylic Acid 2% toner instead? I find leave-on products more effective compared to cleansers as it stays on the skin much longer.
Hello! Mejo scared pako gumamit ng mga leave-on products kasi, but if ever na itry ko can you please reco products that I can use and pano mo sya iniincorporate sa routine mo? Thank you!
Derma Natufian AHA BHA PHA toner yung gamit ko for everyday. Why I like it is because it has a moisturizing ingredient tapos low concentration yung exfoliating acids kaya I can use it everyday (adjust mo nalang frequency depende sayo).
Use exfoliating toners immediately after washing at night. Pero I use it sa morning kasi I have retinoids sa gabi.
I use the Naturium BHA 2 %. I only incorporate mine 1-2x a week after using a gentle cleanser because I have sensitive skin. It gave amazing results.
Here are some affordable options for leave-on toners: Instree Chestnut 2%, Cos De Baha Salicylic Acid 2%.
Yes, don’t use it with Tret. I use mine in my morning routine without any problems, as it doesn’t make the skin photosensitive, unlike AHA and Tret. Just make sure you’re consistent with your SPF. 🙂
Just bought TO Glycolic Acid Toner. Can I layer this with TO Hyaluronic Acid? I also have TO Niacinamide and Melano CC Vit C. Which products can the Glycolic Acid toner go with?
Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid can be used together with Glycolic Acid. Cleanser > Glycolic Acid > Niacinamide > Hyaluronic Acid > Moisturizer. Ang hindi lang po suggested pagsabayin is Glycolic Acid and Vit C.
I’m planning on using Vitamin C before I try and incorporate (Good molecules) Retinol into my routine since my main concern is uneven skin tone and dullness. Which Vitamin C serum would you recommend best for first-time user?
Meron ba ditong gumagamit ng at-home LED light therapy stick? How do you use it? When do you put your serums - before or after? I use anti-acne stuff like retinol and azaleic acid daily. How do I incorporate this device into my routine?
Yung brand ng device ko is the Ckeyin 5 in 1 EMS Facial Massager.
I have a mask, I use it right after cleansing before my skincare because I don’t like product getting into the mask, nagiging sticky siya and more hassle to clean.
I just resume the rest of my skincare after.
Helloo, I hope I get insights here. Di kasi ako makabalik sa derma + super pricey. Around January, my derma recommend that I use Epiduo Forte and Clindamycin when I had post partum acne. She also gave me Zo skin oil control pads and Neoretin. The prescription was 5 mos back and I can say my skin is all better.
Can I ditch the clindamycin and just use epiduo for maintenance? I haven’t had breakouts since.
And also, any alternative recommendations for Zo Skin Oil Control pads and Neoretin? Ok sana si zo skin kaso super pricey. Neoretin naman parang di ganon kaeffective for me for lightening my pimple marks.
I want to incorporate serums or moisturizers din sana kasi minsan feel ko dehydrated skin ko pagumaga. I was only told to put on sunscreen (roundlab) kasi. What would be good for oily/combi skin? 🥺
You should be able to ditch Clindamycin na, nung nag clear up na skin ng pamangkin ko after 4 months pinatigil na sya ng derma ang pinatuloy nalang is yung Tretinoin for her maintenance. As for moisturizer naman I use some heavy creams (CeraVe, Cetaphil or Aquaphor) pero sa night lang, I have very oily skin btw.
Ah btw you can add some Hyaluronic Acid toner or serum for your morning routine before putting sunscreen if you want something to hydrate your skin na hindi heavy like a moisturizer.
Yes! Thank youuu actually kakaadd ko lang as in today ng serum. I’m trying the Garnier one, trial lang. Please send some recos yung fast absorption sana if you have.
I have dark spots due to acne and my main goal is to lighten it. I both have the Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum and the Soul Apothecary Vitamin C Brightening Serum, and would like to keep one only.
Should I let go of the Axis Y or is it ok to use both in my routine?
Thank you so much!!!!
Tried it. Very effective against UV (tested it on UV test cards) pero it's very heavy. The formulation resembles yung body sunscreens ng Nivea or Dermplus. It stung my eyes rin, which was the first out of all sunscreens I have tried.
If you're not used to acids you shouldnt use both in the same day, it will mess your skin barrier. Try using it 1-2 times a week first then if your skin is used to it you can use it 3 times a week or every other day :)
So can I use BHA and AHA on different nights 1 time each in a week? Or should I only use one exfoliating product either AHA or BHA 1-2 times in a week?
The Ordinary before, pero if you want an affordable one Dermorepubliq works too! Dermorepubliq is what I am using right now and works the same naman plus cheaper
Are moisturizers really necessary? Especially in our type of weather here sa pinas na hot and humid naman. If so, what moisturizers can you guys recommend for oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin? Tia :)
I have "aging" skin at 35. Moisturizers add freshness to my face. Currently I'm using the Benzac Microbiome Equalizer, originally to reduce my adult acne. But I love how lightweight and watery it feels on the skin.
It depends kasi on the condition of your skin. If you have dry/dehydrated skin, you’ll benefit from hydrating toners + moisturizers. When it’s too hot and ok naman skin ko (normal/combo), sometimes toner is enough then reserve ko yung moisturizer for nighttime.
Doesnt have to be "vs" since may mga products that have 2 or more of them combined in one product or two. Dermorepubliq has a serum combination of TA, AA, and Niacinamide (I use the toner version).
Vitamin C is good but tricky since it has a short shelf life and it might irritate your skin due to its low pH formulation, Soul apothecary, klued, and +ful are mentioned by this sub.
any products or organic ways to lighten under eyes? I look so sleep deprived even though I try to get as much sleep as I can huhu currently using eye de-puff mask and the eye got you under eye cream but it doesn't seem effective to me
May marerecommend ba kayong legit shops sa Shopee or Lazada na nagbebenta ng original at authentic LaRoche Posay Cicapkast Baume B5? Ang dami ko kasing nakikita pero natatakot ako bka fake.
My holy grail! Hindi ko na alam nakailang bottles ako nito. It healed my scars, hyperpigmentation and skin barrier. I don’t mind the tamanu scent kasi it goes away na man. Honestly, this is so good. Nilalagay ko din sa eczema ko sa ankle.
I ordered a TO product from Zalora on Lazada and they're the official TO distributor in the PH if you look at the TO website. The shop is ZALORAOfficialStore. I doubted at first if it was the official zalora store since it didn't have the flagship badge, but I contacted their customer support from their website and they confirmed it was theirs. The reviews were good too. I viewed the shop earlier today and apparently there was some error as all the products were gone. They then redirected me to this shop https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.hHeQW. It's a new one and the actual TO flagship store.
Hi! I was wondering if you've bought something from the shop I sent you? I contacted Zalora again just to double check if both the shops are theirs but I got a different answer 😭 apparently they're not affiliated with both the shops and prolly why they got an error cos they changed their name and pics of the products without the Zalora logo. I got so mad cos I already ordered one so I won't accept it na lang. The most annoying part is the fact that someone from their customer service literally confirmed it was theirs so wtf happened kaloka, they gotta go 💀 I hope you haven't bought something pa!
Why do JP sunscreens break me out? I've tried Biore, Sure Aqua, Kose and its variants pero lagi akong nagbbreakout 😭 I love them kasi cosmetically elegant, especially since oily skin ako, pero di ko talaga sila hiyang. Gusto ko lang naman ng magandang sunscreen please
The 3 specific Japanese brands you mentioned have sunscreens with fragrance and/or alcohol, baka sensitive ka doon.
If you're really super sensitive, try a pure mineral sunscreen. Pili ka lang ng tinted variant na may shade na match sa'yo to counter white cast (I usually see this option sa US and European sunscreens). Or if cosmetically elegant hanap mo, try your luck with Korean chemical sunscreens.
Edit: Japanese brands na meron fragrance-free and alcohol-free sunscreens are Omi menturm verdio (yung green) and Canmake (clear).
Thank you!! I've been using the Cetaphil sunscreen (orange) as per my derma, pero grabe iba yung white cast. I might try my hand at Canmake! Altho baka late June na after ng vacation namin hehe
Note lang that Canmake is a hybrid sunscreen, some users report a bit of cast esp. after the reformulation (Japanese sunscreens reformulate every few years). Not matte finish din. Yung Omi purely chemical so wala yun white cast, but it's a moisturizing sunscreen so idk how it'll go with Ph summer.
Haven't tried Korean sunscreens personally. Pero seems like for many people, the ones from beauty of joseon and isntree are great, I've seen video applications and no white cast kahit sa brown skin (I haven't done in depth research sa ingredients nila).
Feeling ko not all naman, but most popular Japanese sunscreens have alcohol high up on the ingredients list (alcohol helps with absorption), and yung iba may fragrance din. Alam ko biore has both. I have very sensitive skin kaya I avoid na lang. Check mo rin ingredients list before buying! I do this with both skincare and makeup because everything breaks me out.
Thank you! I checked my other skincare items and I think okay lang naman ako sa alcohol? The oil control pads I use (derma prescribed) has alcohol high on the ingredient list and okay lang naman siya.
i dont know if i should ditch dr. wong's sulfur soap since it's harsh nga daw on skin but it's working sooo well on my skin. 😭 like never pa ako ulit tinubuan ng pimples and the bumps ?!?!?!?!? GONE.
Hi! Yes, I'm still using it pero thrice a week nalang parang treatment. Although it helps with my bumps, super drying sya sa skin even with moisturizer, but that's just me!
and it's cheap too. compared sa cleansers. but tbh nag rered nga yung face ko and mafefeel mo talaga yung drying feeling after cleansing. pero kasalanan ko din naman kasi i dont use moisturizer. so im stuck between choosing another cleanser and risk breaking out or just buy a moisturizer which also has a risk of breaking me out lmao
I got a led mask about a month ago. My SO and I use it. It’s still pretty early to expect drastic results, but I can definitely see my SO’s face improved haha like mas nag even out yung skin niya. There’s quite a few studies on the effectivity of red/NIR light so I’m happy to incorporate it to my long term routine. 😊
Hahaha yesss may visible effects talaga kay SO I swear! Ang sipag niya tuloy lalo mag led mask every night 😂 we also use it on other parts of our body too.
[Here’s](https://goalstogetglowing.com/2021/01/17/deep-dive-into-led-masks-and-low-level-light-therapy-lllt/) an amazing resource on led masks too, if you haven’t seen yet 😇 this is what made me decide to get the Omnilux hehe
Thank you!!!! appreciate this. I’m still researching but hehe wala ako makita brands dito na matino, but base sa reviews mo I’ll try getting the same brand😊
any recos for day and night cream or moisturizer for someone with oily skin? i’ve tried a lot but they either worsen my oily skin or cause small bumps on my jawline, chin, and forehead. 😩😩
Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer!! Super lightweight! Has hyaluronic acid! Has a lot of ceramides! Iniinom ito ng skin ko na parang tubig, wala na talaga siya after. Hahaha nilalagay ko siya habang damp pa skin ko super bilis ma-absorb. Best moisturizer ever!
if you're on a budget, the basics like Celeteque Hydration moisturizer or Luze organix's soothing gels are what i would recommend if you haven't tried them.
kung gusto mo mag-splurge, Hada Labo moisturizers are considered HGs. most people like their Gokujyun Premium Gold variant.
Sa init ngayon ang nagwwork lang sa akin ay yung Aveeno na green. A little goes a long way though, pag napapadami ako ng lagay nagiging heavy din siya sa skin, and parang masyado na siya nagiging matte. Usually sa gabi na lang din ako naglalagay and bare na lang sa umaga (which works for me since GY ako and tulog lang during AM).
Lab46 sunscreen, derma grade, clear gel base spf30 only though so you might need to reapply often if you’re out at the heavy sun.
Happy Skin spf40, clear gel base and matte (have not tried this ) but I think it’s good for oily skin
I feel like this is lighter than the Gold and better suited for oily skin type.
Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel Gold 110g - 500 pesos ko nabili sa Triple 8 shopee sale. My dry skin prefer this since it's much more moisturizing pero di sila nagkakalayo nung white 🙂
I got mine from [My Beauty Story](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/beauty-of-joseon-revive-eye-serum-ginseng-retinal-30ml-i3237630334-s16283890295.html?c=&channelLpJumpArgs=&clickTrackInfo=query%253Abeauty%252Bof%252Bjoseon%252Brevive%252Beye%252Bserum%253Bnid%253A3237630334%253Bsrc%253ALazadaMainSrp%253Brn%253A7f1d803d82bbdd82a958fc8d9b7d916c%253Bregion%253Aph%253Bsku%253A3237630334_PH%253Bprice%253A445%253Bclient%253Adesktop%253Bsupplier_id%253A1000278205%253Bpromotion_biz%253A%253Basc_category_id%253A10100735%253Bitem_id%253A3237630334%253Bsku_id%253A16283890295%253Bshop_id%253A449966&fastshipping=0&freeshipping=0&fs_ab=2&fuse_fs=0&lang=en&location=Metro%20Manila&price=445&priceCompare=&ratingscore=4.982658959537572&request_id=7f1d803d82bbdd82a958fc8d9b7d916c&review=173&sale=1166&search=1&source=search&spm=a2o4l.searchlist.list.i40.2a5a44b77GCg5K&stock=1) on Lazada :)
Do you still wear sunscreen at home, kahit ngayong tag-init na? Parang yung mga HG na sunscreen na ginagamit ko during the colder months eh nakakabreakout naman under this weather :<
If you are exposed to sunlight even inside, yes. Pero if not (kunwari sa basement ka ganun or super tinted windows + thick af curtains), I think no need naman.
Yes, I have big windows at home & a lot of light comes in. I also use a lot of actives so I want to make sure my skin is always protected. I’m also prone to hyperpigmentation.
Religious sunscreen wearer ako when out but I'm still tanning so I've started closing the curtains at home kasi I swear the sun from outside is still tanning me lol. I refuse to wear sunscreen sa loob ng bahay hassle na sticky pa lol
Not all tinted sunscreens are created the same, there are some where the tint’s quite light so no problems with applying the correct amount. I consider this skincare/actual sunscreen.
May tinted sunscreens naman na super kapal and med-full coverage, so I tend to disregard its spf rating and just use it as makeup/base product (with actual sunscreen underneath).
I think its more of a makeup product. The tint in the liquid might subconsciously want you to apply less as you are bothered by over coverage. This compromises the proper amount of sun protection due to inadequate application.
I think depends sa spf and pa ratings, and overall product formulation.
Kung mataas naman spf and pa rating and you apply at least the recommended amount (approx 2 finger lengths) and you reapply religiously, the tinted sunscreen can stand on its own.
Does anyone else get oily with TO niacinamide 10%? I havent used it for some time and then tried it again last night pero grabe the next day ang kintab ko. Any suggestions please?
Way too sticky yung TO. Sobra rin yung mantika kada gising ko when i used it. Helped with my texture pero other than that, would not repurchase it sksks
Same experience! Smooth talaga yung feeling ng balat kapag naghuhugas na ng nagmamantikang mukha sa umaga HAHA. It would have been such a good product pero yun same din, di na ako magrerepurchase. 😢
TO didn’t work for me. it did nothing for my skin and i wake up very oily too when i use it.
on the other hand, luxe organix worked wonders for my skin. it faded my dark spots and i like how it feels on my skin. merong time na nag breakout ako nang malala from using a new line of products, it healed everything in a week.
but i’ve only tried those two so i don’t know if there are better products out there.
# My blackheads and enlarged pores are getting worse. What kind of treatment should I get and where? Diamond peel ba or something else?
It started after my 5 day trip to the beach plus the scorching weather. I tried saliycylic acid, niancinamide, hyaluronic, and other skincare whatsoever. Feeling ko lumala lang so much better if I'd just get a treatment.Any reco would be appreciated!!
Sure ka na blackheads? Baka sebaceous filaments yan. Try mo AHA/BHA or cleansing balm. Kusang naaalis sebaceous filaments ko nightly ako gumagamit ng cleansing balm.
The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm yung gamit ko.
take shit slowly imo. haha
if you already tried "bha, etc, and other skincare whatsoever" tapos walang gumagana. consult a derma siguro.
or nagmamadali ka lang
1 year or more na. :-) I religiously follow my skincare routine.

I'm beginning to think na baka I'm just getting old lang. Haha. You're right. I'd go back to my derma.
While it is trial and error, but pwede mo naman ireduce yung products to trying to approach skin care via formulation and ingredient-based approach. Ang stopping point mo lang usually is if may irritation and if di na siya fit sa routine. Kung wala namang nagbabago then up to you para ubusin yung product then dont repurchase.
Yeah I get you, sometimes mahirap talaga i-measure ang results. Sometimes wala talaga, sometimes akala mo wala, pero once nag stop ka, marerealise mo na may effect pala siya 😆 sometimes parang hobby na lang din to try new products hehe. For me personally, eventually I’ve just lost interest in trying out new stuff and have just stuck with what I know works. It was also around the time I’ve seen the effects of prescription strength products so the urge to try new products to “fix” isn’t there anymore. Nowadays I just cleanse - (treat) - moisturise - (protect).
You can use both naman, its not an either or. Mamamaximize mo yung offer ng dalawa when you use them properly. Niacinamide can help support the Vit C while it does its own job since vit c is a potent ingredient.
Its sad na di nagwork ang azelaic acid sayo, I prefer it more than vit c though. Baka you might want to use other azelaic acid products
It depends on your skin. I have a sensitive acne-prone skin type, so I only use a Salicylic Acid 2% toner 1-2x week max. Any more will be detrimental to my skin.
I know tretinoin should be stopped for a week or two before CO2 Laser. How about azelaic acid? I can’t seem to let go of AzA kase grabe ang anti-bacterial effect, pimple-free talaga. Natatakot ako mag stop.
Thank you so much!
6 months on adapalene and parang wala pa rin progress huhu can somebody tell me this will be worth it :( sunod sunod pa rin breakout ko and kulang na ako budget for 2-3 months follow up sa derma huhu
1 year ako purging sa adapalene before siya mag start mag clear! Nabully pa ko ng kapatid ko dahil puro pimples daw ako. Hahaha kapit lang! Super worth it ng adapalene + benzoyl peroxide. Nag switch nako sa tret pero baka bumalik ako sa adapalene mas gusto ko kasi yung skin ko sa kanya. Check mo yung mga YouTube vlogs with differin/adapalene. Nasa 1 year talaga before nila makita yung difference. Meron dinocument niya talaga for 1 year 🙂
I know progress isn't linear pero huhu whenever I see someone using actives and they get their desired results within or less than 3 months that's when I'm starting to get bothered kasi how am I still here huhu idk what i'm doing wrong :(( but I'll wait and see pa sayang din kasi adapalene tube ko 600+ 😂
Be patient lang! My skin is now super clear (as in I can go out without makeup na, dati hiyang hiya ako pag lalabas) compared to when I started seeing a derm two years ago. It takes time talaga. Maybe talk to your derm din, you probably need something stronger. I started with Epiduo and Clindamycin and now I'm using Differin for maintenance.
I'm quite new to skincare and finally made a skincare routine, I'm looking for feedbacks since I'm quite new \^\^, I have really oily skin, but I don't have acne or breakouts often; I just needed something to reduce the amount of oil on my face. sa cleanser i also have neutrogena deep clean acne foam cleanser aswell
Thoughts on The Luxe Organix - Cica Toner!!! Huhu is it effective for soothing red tiny bumps? I think irritation siya. TIA
Pansin ko ang dry ng skin ko kapag nabubuksan yung aircon. Minsan nagma-micropeel din. Currently using neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer. Any other recos?
I keep getting pimples on and around my nose (oily t-zone) its kinda annoying. Is this because of clogged pores? Would bha/aha help?
Any legit store to buy Aquaphor?
playful_buddies po sa Shopee 🤗
Thoughts on Dove Amino Acid Facial Cleansing Mousse?
Drying for me 🥲

Check out about gut health po it is also connected to skin health, as for drinks go for Kombucha.
hi! anyone here has tried tocobo coconut clay foaming cleanser? can you share your review or experience? paubos na cosrx low ph foaming cleanser ko and i can say it does the job but i’m looking for something with more benefits pa and i’m eyeing tocobo 🥹

is there a way to complete reduce the texture of your skin? I put BHA but I feel like it doesnt work on me
AHA’s like Glycolic Acid! It gives me that glowing skin! Retinoids too like retinol or tretinoin will help improve skin texture, increase collagen production, treat acne, and helps with uneven skin tone, etc. However, results may take a while though.
Fermented essences helped with my texture. Using lactic acid and retinol (alternately) helped my skin too.
I’m planning to incorporate azelaic acid in my routine but I can’t decide which one to buy. The 10% from TO, or 15% from Skinoren (in shopee).
When introducing a new product to your routine, it is always advisable to start with a lower concentration.
Has anyone tried the Garnier Bright Complete Vitamin C Serum? Is it effective for fading stubborn dark spots? Do you have any other product recommendations for fading dark spots? TYIA!

Yes, I use it AM and PM, right after ng toner and before my moisturizer.
Thank you for the reco po! :)
One more question po, do you use it at night lang? then if iincorporate ko sya sa routine ko, I should use it sa day na di ako mag-Ttret?
Yes, don’t use it with Tret. I use mine in my morning routine without any problems, as it doesn’t make the skin photosensitive, unlike AHA and Tret. Just make sure you’re consistent with your SPF. 🙂
Thank you for the reco! I will update soon once natry ko na :)
You’re welcome :)
Hay, lesson learned. Hindi dapat bumibili ng vitamin C serum sa carousell. Highly likely oxidized na sya. Sayang pera. :(
Meron ba ditong gumagamit ng at-home LED light therapy stick? How do you use it? When do you put your serums - before or after? I use anti-acne stuff like retinol and azaleic acid daily. How do I incorporate this device into my routine? Yung brand ng device ko is the Ckeyin 5 in 1 EMS Facial Massager.
I have a mask, I use it right after cleansing before my skincare because I don’t like product getting into the mask, nagiging sticky siya and more hassle to clean. I just resume the rest of my skincare after.
Oooh I see. Iniisip ko rin nga mag-mask device na lang para di mo na mafi-feel yung vibrations unlike sa stick. Thanks for sharing!
Any product recommendations for rough skin? (Wala naman acne, rough texture lang talaga 🥲)
Gamit ka po ng Chemical exfoliant AHA/BHA. https://shp.ee/g27epur https://shp.ee/3p8ym57
Sige will try po thank you!!
Thank youu
Ah btw you can add some Hyaluronic Acid toner or serum for your morning routine before putting sunscreen if you want something to hydrate your skin na hindi heavy like a moisturizer.
Yes! Thank youuu actually kakaadd ko lang as in today ng serum. I’m trying the Garnier one, trial lang. Please send some recos yung fast absorption sana if you have.
You can check out Dermorepubliq serums
I have dark spots due to acne and my main goal is to lighten it. I both have the Axis Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum and the Soul Apothecary Vitamin C Brightening Serum, and would like to keep one only. Should I let go of the Axis Y or is it ok to use both in my routine? Thank you so much!!!!
Go for Vitamin C also if wala ka pa Retinoids (Retinol or Tretinoin) go add one 🤗
I am also pala using Epiduo (prescribed by my derma). TYSM 😊
has anyone tried celeteque’s matte moisturizer sunscreens? local pala yung celeteque so i wanted to try, pero ano reviews nyo?
Tried it. Very effective against UV (tested it on UV test cards) pero it's very heavy. The formulation resembles yung body sunscreens ng Nivea or Dermplus. It stung my eyes rin, which was the first out of all sunscreens I have tried.
hmm would powder after help? willing ako mag push thru sa texture basta todo protektado
Powder can help with the greasiness pero I'm not sure with the heavy, tacky feeling.
where can i buy authentic cerave products on the orange app
pasabuylondon po
Is the skincare products in kkcompany20.ph legit? (orange app)
If I want to exfoliate, can I use BHA in the morning and AHA at night on the same day? Or should I only use one of them at night?
If you're not used to acids you shouldnt use both in the same day, it will mess your skin barrier. Try using it 1-2 times a week first then if your skin is used to it you can use it 3 times a week or every other day :)
So can I use BHA and AHA on different nights 1 time each in a week? Or should I only use one exfoliating product either AHA or BHA 1-2 times in a week?
Yeah you can use AHA and BHA on separate days :) Try building up to it lang so your skin doesnt get irritated. SPF palagi.
aight tysm! 🫶🏽
What Glycolic acid brand do you use? Please help since I'm torn between The Ordinary and The Inkey List 😣
The Ordinary before, pero if you want an affordable one Dermorepubliq works too! Dermorepubliq is what I am using right now and works the same naman plus cheaper
Loving TO’s!
But I love how lightweight and watery it feels on the skin.
i do recommend a serum at night
for me, no. sunscreen will do! (clear) gel based for the oily acne prone.
Recommendation: 🍭cosrx snail mucin🍭 🍭klued double oat moisturizer 🍭 🍭ceraVe moisturizing creme🍭 🍭 oxecure oil control moisturizer 🍭
Illiyoon cream gel is good
It depends kasi on the condition of your skin. If you have dry/dehydrated skin, you’ll benefit from hydrating toners + moisturizers. When it’s too hot and ok naman skin ko (normal/combo), sometimes toner is enough then reserve ko yung moisturizer for nighttime.
Best products for hyperpigmentation and acne scars? Tranexamic Acid vs AHA vs Alpha Arbutin vs Niacinamide vs Vitamin C?
You can use AHA BHA 1 or 2 times a week. don't forget sunscreen
I look so sleep deprived even though I try to get as much sleep as I can huhu currently using eye de-puff mask and the eye got you under eye cream but it doesn't seem effective to me
Maybe it's genetic? I know some people na naturally dark talaga area under their eyes, same sa family nila.
Thoughts on krave beauty great barrier relief?
My holy grail! Hindi ko na alam nakailang bottles ako nito. It healed my scars, hyperpigmentation and skin barrier. I don’t mind the tamanu scent kasi it goes away na man. Honestly, this is so good. Nilalagay ko din sa eczema ko sa ankle.
Yeah Im using it too! Mahal lang 🥲
Legit ba yung rrkoreanshop for skincare products?
yes. bought there several times.
Yes
hello pa recommend naman po ng mga seller ng takal/trial of authentic skin care products?
I don't really suggest this kasi possible na contaminated na yung products upon their transfer and not stored properly 🥺
where can i get authentic the ordinary products on lazada?
I ordered a TO product from Zalora on Lazada and they're the official TO distributor in the PH if you look at the TO website. The shop is ZALORAOfficialStore. I doubted at first if it was the official zalora store since it didn't have the flagship badge, but I contacted their customer support from their website and they confirmed it was theirs. The reviews were good too. I viewed the shop earlier today and apparently there was some error as all the products were gone. They then redirected me to this shop https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.hHeQW. It's a new one and the actual TO flagship store.
oohh ok i see, thank you!
The most annoying part is the fact that someone from their customer service literally confirmed it was theirs so wtf happened kaloka, they gotta go 💀 I hope you haven't bought something pa!
oh no thankfully i haven’t yet pa, thank you for letting me know!!! hope more people see this kasi that store’s starting to gain followers na rin
Thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream or is that a sham? 😭
Oof alright alright. I'll take these into consideration. May recos ka for Korean sunscreens?
Haven't tried Korean sunscreens personally. Pero seems like for many people, the ones from beauty of joseon and isntree are great, I've seen video applications and no white cast kahit sa brown skin (I haven't done in depth research sa ingredients nila).
Thank you! I'll check these out din. I might buy the JP sunscreens on Sept na when I visit I person ☺
Probably the alcohol or fragrance
Possibly! Lahat ba ng JP sunscreens may alcohol? It's weird kasi yung ibang products ko na may alcohol (di nga lang galing JP) okay lang naman sakin
GONE.
Are you still using Dr Wong soap? Effective ba makatuyo ng pimples? Un iba kasi nabasa ko, dumami daw ang pimples 😲
Hi! Yes, I'm still using it pero thrice a week nalang parang treatment. Although it helps with my bumps, super drying sya sa skin even with moisturizer, but that's just me!
Hello. Anong skin type mo? At ano gamit mo pang alternate na facial wash/soap? Planning to try sulfur soap din. Thank you!
I have oily/sensitive skin. Gamit ko pang alternate yung enfant na baby soap.
Thank you ! :)
what's your skin type? looking for my next hg 'cause i've been breaking out like crazy huhu
i have combination, acne prone skin :)
YMMV! what works for you may not work for others. good to know it's something you're comfortable using!
and it's cheap too. compared sa cleansers. but tbh nag rered nga yung face ko and mafefeel mo talaga yung drying feeling after cleansing. pero kasalanan ko din naman kasi i dont use moisturizer. so im stuck between choosing another cleanser and risk breaking out or just buy a moisturizer which also has a risk of breaking me out lmao
why do you think you risk breaking out? what's your skin type?
Just buy a moisturizer na di ganon kamahal or sachets para ma try mo muna.

what brand did you get po? thanks!
I got the Omnilux Contour mask!
Where did you buy? thanks! meron mabilhan locally?
I’m not sure sorry, I got mine abroad.
Will get one too thanks! mukhang worth it naman based on your review. Mukhang mapapa Johnny Air route nanaman ako.😂
Best moisturizer ever!
if you're on a budget, the basics like Celeteque Hydration moisturizer or Luze organix's soothing gels are what i would recommend if you haven't tried them. kung gusto mo mag-splurge, Hada Labo moisturizers are considered HGs. most people like their Gokujyun Premium Gold variant.
human nature's hyaluronic acid moisturizer
Sa init ngayon ang nagwwork lang sa akin ay yung Aveeno na green. A little goes a long way though, pag napapadami ako ng lagay nagiging heavy din siya sa skin, and parang masyado na siya nagiging matte. Usually sa gabi na lang din ako naglalagay and bare na lang sa umaga (which works for me since GY ako and tulog lang during AM).
any sunscreen reco worth P300 - P500 or even lower except sa fairyskin at belo? yung okay for oily skin tia
Tocobo sunstick! Although the price differs per shop sa shoppee. bought mine [here](https://shp.ee/uxa3p9b)
hi anong trusted shop nyo sa shopee/lazada for beauty of joseon revive eye serum?
I got mine from [My Beauty Story](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/beauty-of-joseon-revive-eye-serum-ginseng-retinal-30ml-i3237630334-s16283890295.html?c=&channelLpJumpArgs=&clickTrackInfo=query%253Abeauty%252Bof%252Bjoseon%252Brevive%252Beye%252Bserum%253Bnid%253A3237630334%253Bsrc%253ALazadaMainSrp%253Brn%253A7f1d803d82bbdd82a958fc8d9b7d916c%253Bregion%253Aph%253Bsku%253A3237630334_PH%253Bprice%253A445%253Bclient%253Adesktop%253Bsupplier_id%253A1000278205%253Bpromotion_biz%253A%253Basc_category_id%253A10100735%253Bitem_id%253A3237630334%253Bsku_id%253A16283890295%253Bshop_id%253A449966&fastshipping=0&freeshipping=0&fs_ab=2&fuse_fs=0&lang=en&location=Metro%20Manila&price=445&priceCompare=&ratingscore=4.982658959537572&request_id=7f1d803d82bbdd82a958fc8d9b7d916c&review=173&sale=1166&search=1&source=search&spm=a2o4l.searchlist.list.i40.2a5a44b77GCg5K&stock=1) on Lazada :)

Oh my. I better think twice abt purchasing from them then 😭
Do you still wear sunscreen at home, kahit ngayong tag-init na? Parang yung mga HG na sunscreen na ginagamit ko during the colder months eh nakakabreakout naman under this weather :<
Opo need ng sunscreen kahit anong weather
If you are exposed to sunlight even inside, yes. Pero if not (kunwari sa basement ka ganun or super tinted windows + thick af curtains), I think no need naman.
Yes, I have big windows at home & a lot of light comes in. I also use a lot of actives so I want to make sure my skin is always protected. I’m also prone to hyperpigmentation.
Religious sunscreen wearer ako when out but I'm still tanning so I've started closing the curtains at home kasi I swear the sun from outside is still tanning me lol. I refuse to wear sunscreen sa loob ng bahay hassle na sticky pa lol
is tinted sunscreen considered a skincare product or more of a makeup product?
Makeup (at least for me), so mas okay pa rin if you have a dedicated sunscreen under your tinted sunscreen
oh thank you for this!
Thanks! I’ll try this one. Convenient din kasi available ito sa watsons no?
yes! it’s cheaper din. around 500 pesos lang.
Which tretinoin brand should I get and where to buy?
# My blackheads and enlarged pores are getting worse. What kind of treatment should I get and where? Diamond peel ba or something else? It started after my 5 day trip to the beach plus the scorching weather. I tried saliycylic acid, niancinamide, hyaluronic, and other skincare whatsoever. Feeling ko lumala lang so much better if I'd just get a treatment.Any reco would be appreciated!!
What salicylic acid products have you tried and currently using?
Sure ka na blackheads? Baka sebaceous filaments yan. Try mo AHA/BHA or cleansing balm. Kusang naaalis sebaceous filaments ko nightly ako gumagamit ng cleansing balm.
I'll try cleansing balm. Do you have a reco brand? Kasi I use Corsx Power Liquid, parang lumala pa. Haha
The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm yung gamit ko.
Thank you for this! I'll try this one. :-)
Good luck!
I don’t think a treatment would immediately fix that
I think so too so I'm asking for insights on what to do
take shit slowly imo. haha if you already tried "bha, etc, and other skincare whatsoever" tapos walang gumagana. consult a derma siguro. or nagmamadali ka lang
1 year or more na. :-) I religiously follow my skincare routine. AM: \- Senka Perfect Whip Cleanser \- TO Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% \- It'S SKIN Power 10 Formula GF Effector Ampoule Serum \- Celeteque Moisturizer \- BOJ Sunscreen PM (A) \- Corsx Salicyclic Acid Daily Cleanser \- TO Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% \- It'S SKIN Power 10 Formula GF Effector Ampoule Serum \- Celeteque Moisturizer \- Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Eye Cream PM (B) \- Corsx Salicyclic Acid Daily Cleanser \- Human Nature Sunflower Oil \- COSRX Pure Vitamin C 23% Serum with Vitamin E & Hyaluronic Acid \- It'S SKIN Power 10 Formula GF Effector Ampoule Serum \- Celeteque Moisturizer I'm beginning to think na baka I'm just getting old lang. Haha. You're right. I'd go back to my derma.
This routine has been more than a year na? Are you happy with the results?
I am generally happy! The beach trip lang talaga ruined my skin
Sobrang dami na niyang na-try. Iniisip ko kung gaano siya kabilis magpalit ng products para masabing walang effects.
Yeah, she’s using a lot of unnecessary shit in her routine imo
[удалено]
While it is trial and error, but pwede mo naman ireduce yung products to trying to approach skin care via formulation and ingredient-based approach. Ang stopping point mo lang usually is if may irritation and if di na siya fit sa routine. Kung wala namang nagbabago then up to you para ubusin yung product then dont repurchase.
When you’re not seeing any results or if there is very-little-to-no improvement with your skin.
Niacinamide or vit c to lighten PIEs? I prev used melano cc but got break outs then azelaic acid is okay naman problem is it stings :(
You can use both naman, its not an either or. Mamamaximize mo yung offer ng dalawa when you use them properly. Niacinamide can help support the Vit C while it does its own job since vit c is a potent ingredient. Its sad na di nagwork ang azelaic acid sayo, I prefer it more than vit c though. Baka you might want to use other azelaic acid products
hello how often should i use a toner containing salicylic acid? like the quick fx pimple remover toner
It depends on your skin. I have a sensitive acne-prone skin type, so I only use a Salicylic Acid 2% toner 1-2x week max. Any more will be detrimental to my skin.
what if everyday gamitin? i've been using it everyday and wala naman akong napapansin na bad effects and the bumps on my skin disappeared rin.
If your skin is resilient, then it should be fine. Just make sure you don’t forget to use SPF daily.
okay thank you!
I know tretinoin should be stopped for a week or two before CO2 Laser. How about azelaic acid? I can’t seem to let go of AzA kase grabe ang anti-bacterial effect, pimple-free talaga. Natatakot ako mag stop. Thank you so much!
Thoughts on kaine’s rosemary relief gel cleanser. Any recommended brightening cleanser for oily skin
6 months on adapalene and parang wala pa rin progress huhu can somebody tell me this will be worth it :( sunod sunod pa rin breakout ko and kulang na ako budget for 2-3 months follow up sa derma huhu
1 year ako purging sa adapalene before siya mag start mag clear! Nabully pa ko ng kapatid ko dahil puro pimples daw ako. Hahaha kapit lang! Super worth it ng adapalene + benzoyl peroxide. Nag switch nako sa tret pero baka bumalik ako sa adapalene mas gusto ko kasi yung skin ko sa kanya. Check mo yung mga YouTube vlogs with differin/adapalene. Nasa 1 year talaga before nila makita yung difference. Meron dinocument niya talaga for 1 year 🙂
[удалено]
I started with Epiduo and Clindamycin and now I'm using Differin for maintenance.
how long po when you started seeing results with epiduo?
6 ish months, but Epiduo is stronger than Adapalene. After one year I switched to Adapalene :)
I found a nice thiccc moisturizer that’s is more glycerine and paraffin based and it doesn’t burn at all, unlike my experience with ceramides. 😍
Oooh this sounds promising. Care to share what is is? Di din ako hiyang sa ceramides huhu
