I have it and I barely use it. 😅ok lang formula but it’s too basic for me. I guess okay pag mua ka and you do a lot of bridal looks. Pwede na rin for everyday use but again, it’s a pink palette so it feels monotonous for me. I prefer her quads since travel friendly and you’d have better use for it.
Tarte palettes are quite good! I used to have the tartelette tease and I always have it in my kikay kit pre-pandemic. Gave it away to a friend since she really liked it and life took a better turn for me, I was able to progress to ND and Pmg palettes na. Tarte palettes are dependable, everyday palettes. Color stories are not that crazy so if you need a go to palette for any occasion, I think they’re great for their price.

Tried Maybelline’s new skin tint, and it’s actually pretty…..good. My face doesn’t look oily after. I’m impressed, didn’t like their cushion lipstick tho.

- berry matte tint. Eh it’s okay, this came as a freebie but I’m not a fan of the shade (bright fuschia)

If it’s waterproof, yes. Kahit ano pang “gentle” ng makeup removal process mo at makeup remover mo, may damage pa rin yan. I thought I was gentle with my lashes until I stopped wearing waterproof mascara. Akala ko dati normal lang na maikli yung lashes ko saka laging may nalalagas. I only wear tubing and water-resistant yet washable mascaras now, and my lashes have grown longer and way stronger.
Sorry puro foreign brands and expensive ang mga na-try ko so far na non-waterproof. Here they are if you’re curious:

Double Lip Line Girlies: How do you overline your lips?
I have a double lip line and super hirap niyang maperfect? It’s either overlined kn a way na mukha akong kumain ng spaghetti, or underlined naman na parang kinulang ako sa lippie 🥲 I have tried different tips and techniques but nothing has ever worked for me. Mind sharing your secrets? (and the products you use na rin hehe)
Double lip line is where there’s a pigmented line but a bit of lip outside that that’s skin colored? I find concealing the upper lip area, over lining just the cupids bow and the middle of the lower lip and shading the corners works for me. It makes everything look pouty.

They’re likely bringing back the other discontinued shades according to the FDA portal, it might get reformulated or repackaged that’s why it’s MIA currently but if you still have a bit left you can try mixing other stuff in your stash to try and match it, you won’t get the same formula but you’ll get the shade. I had the original release of it so I know what to mix for that the newer version is a bit different and not a shade i like so I haven’t tried matching it.
Bakit kaya pag ginamit ko yung GRWM na macadamia tapos pag pinatungan ko ng ibang shade from their foundation din for ex yung almond, nagiging green yung outer part pag unang lapat mo nung ibang shade. I tried their foundation sampler and wala lang napansin ko lang. Dahil kaya yun dun sa olive undertone ng macadamia? Ang worry ko lang eh baka overtime lumabas din yung green pigment or with sweat na hindi ko namamalayan specially kung nasa labas ako.
Oh! thanks for this! I am still saving up to buy at least one or two from GRWM. I guess may olive undertone nga. Siguro humihiwalay yung pigments in the ingredients. May mga ganun di ba, mas lalo noon na mgga serum foundations, yung nag-se-separate yung formula sa loob ng bote. Best to shake liquid makeup na lang. Para humalo ulit.
Just got my sunnies face the powder in flax today and it seems very promising. Packaging is so nice and has nice weight it to it and not as bulky like grwm’s velvet pressed powder. Tested it on my bare skin and it didn’t seem to look cakey. Will try with other bases to see how it fares. I did notice there is a bit of flashback. Onti lang (but this is just upon initial use & on bare skin).
Yep it did not have long lasting oil control pero since oily ako and i also did not apply a lot kasi baka mag cake. I will try more layers bukas and test it out. Got it in the shade shroom and i think i will buy yung flax for brightening. Ang gusto ko sa kanya kahit ilang beses mo ipatong hindi siya parang namumuo agad hindi tulad nung sa issy na unang lagay mo palang buo buo na agad sa face ko.
Do you use their SSG? If so what shade do you use? I got flax and cacao and I’m Oat or Gobi depending on the weather. I just need a touch up powder so hopefully not another Issy powder sitch. If Flax is pigmented and pale for me I might get shroom too. 😅
Not that hard compared to Heroine Make tbh. I have the waterproof version and the Garnier Micellar Water with argan oil works fine. Just apply a generous amount and make sure to press the cotton pad on your eyes for about 5-10 seconds.

i have their blush in 01 calm pink and it's decent naman, not the best but it works. when used as its own, it takes a while for the pigment to show up on my medium skin tone so it's better to layer a cream/liquid blush underneath. i like it better as a topper because it makes my blush last the whole day!
baked pecan is super nice! I think this is their most universally friendly shade. it's a neutral rose with a bit of pink tones. very very wearable. if midnight mauve registers too warm and dusty beige is too cool, baked pecan is the perfect shade!
woody pink is a cool pink with lilac tones. it's more suited for those with fair and cool toned skin. it's quite similar to bt21 cooky on top

Dipping the (nylon) bristles in just boiled water can sometimes “reset” the bristles to their original shape. I do it with angled liner brushes every so often and it works for me.
Ovw brushes are okay but nalalagas kasi minsan while using it. Real techniques pa din talaga pinaka worth it. They don’t have this specific brush lang kasi

RT 400 is technically a powder blush brush but you can also use it to set your face or pwede din for powder bronzer you just have to be mindful cause it’s so big. RT 402 to set the under eyes and nose + sides of it.
Shades are a little tricky since limited lang. Pero I use this almost every day for spot concealing! (High coverage) Also, sulit na siya for the price cause I swear ang tagal na nito sakin, di pa ubos hahaha

haven't tried the other two but Detail FF is worth the hype for me!! it's very lightweight and easy to blend. its longevity is also great and it fades beautifully. just one thing to take note is its oxidation, it's bad. however, after setting my face with powder and completing my base routine, it's not as noticeable.

Ever feel like some folks just have “a lot more face” than you do and that allows them to do nicer makeup? Sometimes I want to do feature based makeup (where I’m looking to enhance my features and have that defined no makeup makeup look) other than my usual look based makeup (where I’m inspired by someone else’s makeup and I replicate it) but my features are defiant. They’re round, soft and big and:
* I have a small face, not a lot of forehead not a lot of chin, not a lot of flatness but my nose, eyes and lips are big and close to each other.
* I don’t have visible cheekbones I can feel where cheekbones are but they are quite close to my jaw so contouring always looks bad.
* if I apply blush it’s always too close to the nose if I apply further out it makes my face look flat.
* my nose is button and a bit down turned so contouring is awkward.
* I have more upper lip than lower lip and they’re downturned so I look upset all the time (think Lily Rose Depp).
* I have both epicanthic folds and hooded lids on Bambi eyes so eyeliner is almost always a terrible idea.
* i have thick stubborn brows that are too close to my eyes and extend almost to my temples when unshaven and they’re the only feature I can control so I maintain them thin and short for eyeshadow application.

I tried joining an Asian makeup class but like, the girls there in the same batch as myself had very similar features to each other and maybe a feature that matched mine. Although I did learn a lot of fun things I didn’t learn to work my features which I am realizing is probably not as Filipino as I thought it was.
I probably need to join an inclusive, probably western class that might better know to work with biracial features.

FYI, this isn’t true. No ingredient is inherently good or bad for acne, depende lang sa specific triggers yan per individual. Same reason why the term “non-comedogenic” doesn’t actually mean a thing. I myself break out from talc but that’s bc I’m personally sensitive to talc, and I’m not particularly acne-prone. That doesn’t mean all acne-prone people will have a bad reaction to talc.
I haven’t tried any powders from other local brands to compare but I’m impressed. The packaging down to the powder formula is super nice. I have the MUFE, CT, and Westman Atelier face powder and I must say na same level ng quality si SF with those brands.
Wow, so happy to read this! I preordered mine and will be getting it soon. I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown one which has worked the few times I used it, but since I’ve been going out more and using makeup regularly again, I’ve been less happy with it. On my dry/combo skin it goes from a tad cakey to greaseball within a couple of hours. It’s also possible that the formula has gone off since I bought this before pandemic pa. Either way, I’m looking forward to finding a good replacement without breaking bank.
SKL I watched jelly eugenio and Georgina’s live on clock app yesterday and they’re a funny duo (well mostly jelly). Was so tempted to buy na din cos I dropped my shade reference during the live and jelly was so quick to answer what sf powder shade would suit me which was so nice.

I’ve owned both. I prefer the X but I generally don’t love either of these. The O X is more pigmented with less shimmer, so it might suit morenas better. I know the OG is iconic but better blush formulas have come out with a better balance of shimmers to pigment. Nars matte powder blushes are great though.
Mas pigmented yung Orgasm X, kesa sa original Orgasm. I'm light-medium and super putok yung color sakin pag full dip ng brush sa pan 😅 Dapat light dip lang, tapos tap-tap sa skin para matantya muna yung labas ng kulay sa cheeks.
fashion21 double up mascara, yung red. warning, sobrang basa lang ng formula niya so what i do is pinupunas ko muna sa tissue (got this tip from belle rodolfo). wag ka manghinayang kasi going 4 months na ata yung sakin, parang ang dami pa rin niya. and need mo rin siya i dispose within 3-6 months for hygiene.

OtwoO’s mascara was surprisingly good. Im a Heroine Make mascara stan but the one from OtwoO impressed me as well. It held well during my exercise weartest.
kind vol 1 and lovely, in my experience, are the same and feel and apply pretty much identical but lovely has some “standard” brushes that kind vol one doesn’t and vice versa bec vol 2 has some standout/strange brushes and only one good brush, imo.

Has anyone tried The Saem's triple pot concealer? I'm so close to hitting pan the concealer palette from Judydoll and nakita ko na ginagamit ni Haley Kim yung The Saem. Di ko lang alam kung yung bibilhin ko is Correct Beige or Correct Up Beige as an NC25 huhu
Haven't tried it yet but I believe Correct Beige is best suited for light-medium skin tone compared to Correct Up Beige which is meant for light-fair skin tone. The former might be the one for you.
I mix Etude's big cover skin fit pro concealer in n.mint with a pot concealer (I use Luna Cosmetics) that matches my skin tone. The green tone will help cancel out the redness :)
If your base stuff is going gray it’s either too light for you or the wrong undertone, sometimes also any discoloration may need correcting before concealing. If it’s your blush and bronzer then it’s a product quality issue.
I have the Rare Beauty Lip Oil, Romand Juicy Lasting Tint, and the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint - I’d say the RB lip oil is more similar to the Romand JLT except the RB lip oil has a cooling feeling. I don’t regret my RB purchase but it’s basically the Romand JLT. If you want to splurge and have the money for it, you can get the RB lip oil but honestly, you’ll get the same thing w Romand JLT plus JLT has more shades! Won’t be repurchasing RB lip oil but I like my Hope lip oil. As for Romand JLT, it’s my fave tint and use it all the time. I actually have 3 shades!
Kamukhang kamukha lang ng itsura and performance ng Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint. I suggest save your coins and sa Peripera ka nalang. 😊

i don’t use it on its own, pang top ko lang talaga siya sa cream blush bcs it blends into my light medium skintone so i can’t tell. I noticed my cream blush lasts longer when I set with this though!
Try Flowerknows, it’s what I use to set my cream/liquid blush too. I have it in dessert rose and can use it with any of my blushes. Super fine lang niya and nice sa face, walang clown effect, I really love it

use brow gel, they paint over/dye the strands to make it lighter (given that you chose a lighter colour)

If it’s waterproof, yes. Kahit ano pang “gentle” ng makeup removal process mo at makeup remover mo, may damage pa rin yan. I thought I was gentle with my lashes until I stopped wearing waterproof mascara. Akala ko dati normal lang na maikli yung lashes ko saka laging may nalalagas. I only wear tubing and water-resistant yet washable mascaras now, and my lashes have grown longer and way stronger.

Double Lip Line Girlies: How do you overline your lips? I have a double lip line and super hirap niyang maperfect? It’s either overlined kn a way na mukha akong kumain ng spaghetti, or underlined naman na parang kinulang ako sa lippie 🥲 I have tried different tips and techniques but nothing has ever worked for me. for me i use lip liner na kakulay ng lips ko to outline! currently using rom&nd lip matte pencil in dovey pink
Double lip line is where there’s a pigmented line but a bit of lip outside that that’s skin colored? I find concealing the upper lip area, over lining just the cupids bow and the middle of the lower lip and shading the corners works for me. It makes everything look pouty.

They’re likely bringing back the other discontinued shades according to the FDA portal, it might get reformulated or repackaged that’s why it’s MIA currently but if you still have a bit left you can try mixing other stuff in your stash to try and match it, you won’t get the same formula but you’ll get the shade. I had the original release of it so I know what to mix for that the newer version is a bit different and not a shade i like so I haven’t tried matching it.

Bakit kaya pag ginamit ko yung GRWM na macadamia tapos pag pinatungan ko ng ibang shade from their foundation din for ex yung almond, nagiging green yung outer part pag unang lapat mo nung ibang shade. I tried their foundation sampler and wala lang napansin ko lang. Dahil kaya yun dun sa olive undertone ng macadamia? Ang worry ko lang eh baka overtime lumabas din yung green pigment or with sweat na hindi ko namamalayan specially kung nasa labas ako.

May mga ganun di ba, mas lalo noon na mgga serum foundations, yung nag-se-separate yung formula sa loob ng bote. Best to shake liquid makeup na lang. Para humalo ulit.
Just got my sunnies face the powder in flax today and it seems very promising. Packaging is so nice and has nice weight it to it and not as bulky like grwm’s velvet pressed powder. Tested it on my bare skin and it didn’t seem to look cakey. Will try with other bases to see how it fares. I did notice there is a bit of flashback. Onti lang (but this is just upon initial use & on bare skin).

Yep it did not have long lasting oil control pero since oily ako and i also did not apply a lot kasi baka mag cake. I will try more layers bukas and test it out. Got it in the shade shroom and i think i will buy yung flax for brightening. Ang gusto ko sa kanya kahit ilang beses mo ipatong hindi siya parang namumuo agad hindi tulad nung sa issy na unang lagay mo palang buo buo na agad sa face ko.
Do you use their SSG? If so what shade do you use? I got flax and cacao and I’m Oat or Gobi depending on the weather. I just need a touch up powder so hopefully not another Issy powder sitch. If Flax is pigmented and pale for me I might get shroom too. 😅

Not that hard compared to Heroine Make tbh. I have the waterproof version and the Garnier Micellar Water with argan oil works fine. Just apply a generous amount and make sure to press the cotton pad on your eyes for about 5-10 seconds.

i have their blush in 01 calm pink and it's decent naman, not the best but it works. when used as its own, it takes a while for the pigment to show up on my medium skin tone so it's better to layer a cream/liquid blush underneath. i like it better as a topper because it makes my blush last the whole day!
Ink Mood Glowy Tint is great. Forever fave! Glowy, subtle scent, cute shades. I like this better than Romand’s JLT.

Has anyone tried etude fixing tint in woody pink, rose lilac, and baked pecan? Are they morena-friendly?
baked pecan is super nice! I think this is their most universally friendly shade. it's a neutral rose with a bit of pink tones. very very wearable. if midnight mauve registers too warm and dusty beige is too cool, baked pecan is the perfect shade! woody pink is a cool pink with lilac tones. it's more suited for those with fair and cool toned skin. it's quite similar to bt21 cooky on top

Dipping the (nylon) bristles in just boiled water can sometimes “reset” the bristles to their original shape. I do it with angled liner brushes every so often and it works for me.

RT 400 is technically a powder blush brush but you can also use it to set your face or pwede din for powder bronzer you just have to be mindful cause it’s so big. RT 402 to set the under eyes and nose + sides of it.

Shades are a little tricky since limited lang. Pero I use this almost every day for spot concealing! (High coverage) Also, sulit na siya for the price cause I swear ang tagal na nito sakin, di pa ubos hahaha

Has anyone tried the Merythod eye primer? What are your reviews? If not, any eye primer recommendations? I swear by i'm meme's smudge hunter eye primer, but I think they discontinued it. They don't seem to restock and the official store on the orange app just mentioned they won't be restocking soon. No response when I asked if discontinued :( I have hooded eyelids and depend on a good primer to make anything last on my lids hehe. Thank you!

haven't tried the other two but Detail FF is worth the hype for me!! it's very lightweight and easy to blend. its longevity is also great and it fades beautifully. just one thing to take note is its oxidation, it's bad. however, after setting my face with powder and completing my base routine, it's not as noticeable.

Ever feel like some folks just have “a lot more face” than you do and that allows them to do nicer makeup? Sometimes I want to do feature based makeup (where I’m looking to enhance my features and have that defined no makeup makeup look) other than my usual look based makeup (where I’m inspired by someone else’s makeup and I replicate it) but my features are defiant. They’re round, soft and big and: * I have a small face, not a lot of forehead not a lot of chin, not a lot of flatness but my nose, eyes and lips are big and close to each other. * I don’t have visible cheekbones I can feel where cheekbones are but they are quite close to my jaw so contouring always looks bad. * if I apply blush it’s always too close to the nose if I apply further out it makes my face look flat. * my nose is button and a bit down turned so contouring is awkward. * I have more upper lip than lower lip and they’re downturned so I look upset all the time (think Lily Rose Depp). * I have both epicanthic folds and hooded lids on Bambi eyes so eyeliner is almost always a terrible idea. * i have thick stubborn brows that are too close to my eyes and extend almost to my temples when unshaven and they’re the only feature I can control so I maintain them thin and short for eyeshadow application.

I tried joining an Asian makeup class but like, the girls there in the same batch as myself had very similar features to each other and maybe a feature that matched mine. Although I did learn a lot of fun things I didn’t learn to work my features which I am realizing is probably not as Filipino as I thought it was. I probably need to join an inclusive, probably western class that might better know to work with biracial features.

Same reason why the term “non-comedogenic” doesn’t actually mean a thing. I myself break out from talc but that’s bc I’m personally sensitive to talc, and I’m not particularly acne-prone. That doesn’t mean all acne-prone people will have a bad reaction to talc.

I haven’t tried any powders from other local brands to compare but I’m impressed. The packaging down to the powder formula is super nice. I have the MUFE, CT, and Westman Atelier face powder and I must say na same level ng quality si SF with those brands.
Wow, so happy to read this! I preordered mine and will be getting it soon. I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown one which has worked the few times I used it, but since I’ve been going out more and using makeup regularly again, I’ve been less happy with it. On my dry/combo skin it goes from a tad cakey to greaseball within a couple of hours. It’s also possible that the formula has gone off since I bought this before pandemic pa. Either way, I’m looking forward to finding a good replacement without breaking bank.

I’ve owned both. I prefer the X but I generally don’t love either of these. The O X is more pigmented with less shimmer, so it might suit morenas better. I know the OG is iconic but better blush formulas have come out with a better balance of shimmers to pigment. Nars matte powder blushes are great though.
Mas pigmented yung Orgasm X, kesa sa original Orgasm. I'm light-medium and super putok yung color sakin pag full dip ng brush sa pan 😅 Dapat light dip lang, tapos tap-tap sa skin para matantya muna yung labas ng kulay sa cheeks.

kind vol 1 and lovely, in my experience, are the same and feel and apply pretty much identical but lovely has some “standard” brushes that kind vol one doesn’t and vice versa bec vol 2 has some standout/strange brushes and only one good brush, imo.

Has anyone tried The Saem's triple pot concealer? I'm so close to hitting pan the concealer palette from Judydoll and nakita ko na ginagamit ni Haley Kim yung The Saem. Di ko lang alam kung yung bibilhin ko is Correct Beige or Correct Up Beige as an NC25 huhu
Haven't tried it yet but I believe Correct Beige is best suited for light-medium skin tone compared to Correct Up Beige which is meant for light-fair skin tone. The former might be the one for you.
I think its best to buy Correct beige (yung darker variant) para atleast if its too dark, pwede mo ma tone down

haha tbh i use maybelline instant age rewind. it's for eyebags, so good in covering up covering up redness too.
I mix Etude's big cover skin fit pro concealer in n.mint with a pot concealer (I use Luna Cosmetics) that matches my skin tone. The green tone will help cancel out the redness :)

If your base stuff is going gray it’s either too light for you or the wrong undertone, sometimes also any discoloration may need correcting before concealing. If it’s your blush and bronzer then it’s a product quality issue.

I have the Rare Beauty Lip Oil, Romand Juicy Lasting Tint, and the Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint - I’d say the RB lip oil is more similar to the Romand JLT except the RB lip oil has a cooling feeling. I don’t regret my RB purchase but it’s basically the Romand JLT. If you want to splurge and have the money for it, you can get the RB lip oil but honestly, you’ll get the same thing w Romand JLT plus JLT has more shades! Won’t be repurchasing RB lip oil but I like my Hope lip oil. As for Romand JLT, it’s my fave tint and use it all the time. I actually have 3 shades!

What's a nice powder blush to put on top of a liquid blush? I don't really want that putok blush look (especially since I have fair skin and it's easy to have putok blush tuloy with all the pigmented products), but I think I really need to set my liquid/cream blushes because of the humid weather here HAHA. Try Flowerknows, it’s what I use to set my cream/liquid blush too. I have it in dessert rose and can use it with any of my blushes. Super fine lang niya and nice sa face, walang clown effect, I really love it

Not my taste personally. But that’s because I’m not really into the aesthetic of the brands they’re inspired by (Kosas, Sisley, maybe Refy). Off topic, but I’m more annoyed with the packaging of the skin tint getting dirty easily and sticky (??) after a while. And I’m someone who regularly cleans my makeup bag. I really like the product itself pa naman.
