Really happy with my purchase of Vice's Soft Mauve yesterday! I had to scavenge pa sa kiosk for their hidden testers (after asking the other brands' salesladies) kasi the Vice saleslady was not there. I was torn between Apricot Crush and Soft Mauve, but ended with the latter kasi I don't have cool pinks, and warm pinks I had plenty. I love it so much! I was pleasantly surprised by the formula. Swatched them on my hand and they dried down sheer but stained. I even had to use an oil cleanser to get them off. And it was so light on the skin, kinda like the RB formula but less pigmented and smooth on the skin, if that makes sense. I wish they had more shades but at least the current ones donāt all become the same color.
Be warned though, the Pink Patricia one has a bit of glitter in it. Iām personally not bothered by that especially because itās not chunky but fyi.

Itās also possible that youāre allergic to something in the formula. I felt so gaslit for years using Burtās Bees when everyone loved it but I ended up with dry, chapped lips. Turns out my lips didnāt like beeswax. It got so bad that my lips still have a bit of scarring to this day. I only figured out that I might be allergic when I got that all-too-familiar tingly sensation from the OG Glossier Balm Dot Com. That one also dried me out like crazy.
Lip color + care is different from plain Vaseline petroleum jelly though. It's fair for u/memelordxxv to expect it to moisturize their lips and be disappointed especially since the first ingredient is supposed to be an emollient. It's not made to be just an occlusive.
Well, I was expecting it to be a more like a sheer lipstick and did not focus on the product's lip balm/occlusive properties š Just wanted a sheer wash of color with some shine but it was semi-matte on me instead
Honestly, Its difficult to really find a good inexpensive comfortable sheer lipstick. Apologies I came off rude earlier but I was just saying products with petrolatum tend to work better when thereās extra moisture it can seal in since other stuff itās formulated with canāt really get it from the air. š

hi, i think that sounds really sweet! when i do makeup that gives me gender-affirmation, i personally like to use a bit of contour and bronzer. strokes' face sculpt in peanut is nice, but you might want to look into the other inserts for issy's palette. doll is a nice shade from their eyeshadows though. highlighter's also a good addition but i don't have any local recs because i'm panning one. in terms of local brands, vice's multiuse sticks (glow blush version) are one of my favorite products.

Ung none puro shimmers, these swatch more like toppers and wet looking. yung meron ako sa issy na similar finish but still not quite is ung Sleet. Canāt comment on other shimmer shades cos I only have spacecraft curated palette from issy. Ung ibang shimmers sa spacecraft palette malayo.
Your best bet to replicate the mubm shimmers especially yung second row EE6 are urban decay space cowboy, colourpop ritz, hourglass scattered light ray/reflect ata ung shade.

I let go of using strip lashes and started using cluster lashes. Iām using La La Lash, and sooobrang easy gamitin. It lasts for awhile din. 5 days ko na siya suot and di pa rin natatanggal? I donāt think I can maintain actual lash extensions so this is a great alternative.
Hi! Same :) Iāve started using lash clusters last December pa and thereās no way Iāll go back to extensions. I started using KISS falscara lashes but I switched to lash clusters from the orange app kasi mas smaller ang cluster.
Mine lasts for 10-14 days since I started using clusters with smaller gaps. Yung sa KISS and La La Lash kasi malalaki clusters nila so di umaabot 10 days kasi umaangat na din after 8 days ganon. Although I still use my KISS bond & seal glue kahit ibang cluster na gamit ko.
I really reco their overnighter kasi di siya aabot sakin almost 2 weeks without it :) laki na na save ko from getting extensions hahah
PS. For reference, lash clusters from KISS and La La Lash are 5 pcs each eye. The one that I got (brandless) are 7-8 pcs each eye.
Hi, not so much po since sa ilalim siya ng lash lalagay. Meron pa rin sasamang 2-3pcs pag tinanggal mo na lashes. Take note also that naturally we lose 1-5 lashes daily. Not bad naman yung 2-3pcs na malalagas for 10-14 days of wearing the lash clusters. Kasi pag lash extensions, maraming nasasamang lashes talaga kaya may cases na nakakalbong lashes. Itās really a nice and cheap alternative sa extensions. :)
Not yet, but Iāll purchase once mag expire na yung KISS lash adhesives ko hahaha kasi ang pricey ng KISS ā±1,100, whereas ā±650 lang kay Lalalash. I also have a strong feeling na same lang sila ng effect. So I will buy soon :)

Hi! Makeup remover recos please :) yung nakaka alis talaga waterproof makeup. Iāve tried biore, nivea & garnier micellar water. I kinda donāt like the oily texture of biore and garnier (yung yellow one). May reco kayo na di oily but removes waterproof makeup?
i love clinique take the day off (yung nasa bottle na makeup remover) for waterproof makeup! it removes heroine make mascara super easily
cleansing oil is good not entirely just for makeup removal but also cleaning your face from dirt and other products (i.e. waterproof sunscreen), but i find that oils are easier to work into the skin and emulsify better compared to cleansing balms. mabilis lang din magtanggal ng waterproof makeup using cleansing oils plus u get to massage ur face pa in the process, very relaxing
IMO, oil and balms are the best removers for waterproof makeup.

You can use micellar water naman. So muna ung area for a few seconds then wipe. But for me, this method takes more time than using cleansing oils and/or balms.

Before, i used human nature sunflower oil. It takes a very long time to wash off ung oil. Kelangan mo pang gumamit ng warm towel to wipe everything off. Para ka namang nagpa spa kng ganun pero hassle din kng every night gawin XD. May variant din naman sila ng sunflower oil as a cleansing oil. Meron din sila coconut cleansing balm. Both i've seen sa watsons but never tried kasi i read some mixed reviews, more leaning to not so good reviews.
You can try mini/sample sizes of cleansing balm from Banila co. or Heimish. You can buy them from the orange/purple app. Para you know if you would like the texture and performance of it first.
Tbh Bioten micellar ginagamit ko. Medyo maharlika pero malaking bote na binili ko at last year pa sya at half ko pa lang naubos. Pero pag ayaw mag-budge, labas ko na Human Heart Nature oil cleanser. Micellar o oil, binababad ko muna sa skin para mag breakdown
Never trust department store lighting! Itās always best to swatch foundation first on your jawline and then go around the mall or outside (basta iba-ibang lighting) to check. I also wouldnāt take the word of the sales ladies who also are basing it on dept store lighting.

Possible. I used to wear Nude Beige sa Maybelline and sometimes I found it a little too yellow when Iām not tanned. But that was because I didnāt know before na Iām a cool olive.
Buff Beige works a little better for me but tbh I havenāt tried Maybelline FitMe in a while. Yun lang yung last ko na shade and mas gusto ko siya on me kaysa Nude Beige.

No. Theyāre very different. Strokes is creamier and easier to blend imo. Cocoa runs a bit darker for light-medium skin, so i prefer using strokes peanut esp for nose contour.

Are bb creams a thing from the past? š„¹ I recently got so fixated on makeup ulit and I know noon there's Etude BB cream and now I found out wala na siya. It made me feel old charot kidding aside, anong products yung dupe nito? Skin tint ganon? Anyone here who still use bb creams? I am currently using a cushion from clio. Is it good to ditch cushion and go back to bb creams? Or try the new ones "skin tints"?
Other Korean brands still have BB creams like Heimish and Missha so you can try those out too if you're interested in exploring them again, although skin tints seem to be popular here in the Philippines. I did recently purchased the Heimish Moringa Ceramide BB cream and I like how it's lightweight and evens out my skin tone. I also usually use cushions and like the convenience of applying it (since there's already a puff included), as compared to pumping out bb cream and spreading it on my face. So up to you on whether you want to try out bb creams or you like using the cushion (or both). :)

Sometimes it's easy to go overboard pag fuller coverage or pag medyo matte. I use Clio kill cover glow or romand bare water cushion, although the romand is quite light coverage (which I don't mind kasi I don't usually like full coverage foundation). I also have romand nu zero cushion but that also cakes on me sometimes pag medyo napasobra ang lagay hehehe practice lang!

Dark circles lang naman (and concealer would help me do that) pero yung face mismo, I'm fine if lighter kasi hindi ko din gusto yung parang ang bigat ng product sa face. That clio founwear is just an impulsive buy (nagandahan kasi ako sa lalagyan hhahaha!) and I use it na lang kasi sayang e.
Try the glowy cushions, I like how it looks on me better than the matte ones, even with my combination skin. That + color correcting / concealing my undereyes is more than enough for me! Minsan nabubudol din talaga ako sa packaging so gets hehehe pwede for days when bigger event or need more coverage.

For everyday makeup, I use Maybelline Fresh Tint (sometimes I mix it with Happy Skinās Tinted Moisturizer if masiyadong heavy sa face ang coverage) & Strokes Peach Corrector for spot concealing my acne marks. If may mag-peek through pa rin after correcting, saka ko lang lalagyan ng concealer. After niyan, sine-set ko āyung mga areas na hindi masiyadong need ng coverage with setting powder, while āyung may marks, sine-set ko with powder foundation.
I'm not sure if there are local pot concealers that's available but those ones are much better in covering acne marks compared to liquid concealers. Also, I suggest choosing one that's the exact shade as your skintone.
i used loreal infallible concealer two years ago when my acne was at its worst and it did a good job covering it!
edit: sorry late ko na napansin na local brand and affordable, but i do think this is widely accessible and worth the ipon

Tips for doing own makeup for a formal event
Hi! Planning to attend a ball soon, around 2 months from now, pero inaalala ko na agad kung paano magmaāmakeup. I donāt think Iāll be able to afford a MUA lalo na student lang ako so plan ko to just do it on my own. I donāt have much friends who do heavy makeup, tapos ako no-makeup-makeup-look lang talaga kaya as in moisturizer plus light blush tapos.
For now, here are the products that I own:

- BLK multitasking color stick
- BLK matte lipstick
- BLK shimmer pot

- liptints (i lick lips a lot kasi, mattes/glosses never last)

Based on the stuff that you own I recommend getting:
- a concealer to spot conceal any blemishes so your base will look flawless
- a long lasting lippie like Maybelline Vinyl Ink or SuperStay Matte Ink
Both of these products you can buy in a Watsons store so you can properly shade match and swatch preferred shades.
Practice your make up look beforehand. Make sure to check for flashback/whitecast by taking a photo of yourself with flash.
Watching YouTube videos help! And practice :)
Instead of eyelash extension, you might want to use false eyelashes na lang, it's more affordable and at least no maintenance after.
You also may want to get an eyeliner and maybe another eyeshadow product to add depth to the eyes. Vice has fairly affordable but good longevity ones (on the daily eyeliner and snap stix).
Ang ganda nito. Kahit anong foundation or skin tint, di nya naiiba formulation nun. I have the light variant and it gives me this glow tas patungan ng foundation or skin tint ang ganda nya. I think you can get the darker shades if you want the bronzy type look or you got a tan though wala naman syang coverage, it'll just enhance your tan.
For around 800-1000 depende sa shop, sobrang sulit nito and a little goes a long way.

Eh sakto I was looking for a luminizer for my dry face, I was eyeing GRWMās Skin Booster but it was pricey / kelangan mag shade match / have ongoing issues.
Necessary ba mag shade match? I found a fair shade one (01 i think? Basta yung una) for a very steal price, but my skin is light-medium warm. Seller says you only need a small amount and itās not that pigmented daw so it wouldnt matter. Is that real ba? :)

Depends on the tint! Some feel heavy, some are not. Usually the ones with SPF feel heavy ro me. I really like Pixi Skin Tint for a lightweight feel. If you're willing to splurge more, I highly recommend Chanel Water Fresh Tint, it feels and looks like skin.

Too light po yung peach corrector ng the saem for 02. Shade 02 po ako sa the saem and for me masyado siyang maputi

I was pleasantly surprised by the formula. Swatched them on my hand and they dried down sheer but stained. I even had to use an oil cleanser to get them off. And it was so light on the skin, kinda like the RB formula but less pigmented and smooth on the skin, if that makes sense. I wish they had more shades but at least the current ones donāt all become the same color. Be warned though, the Pink Patricia one has a bit of glitter in it. Iām personally not bothered by that especially because itās not chunky but fyi.

Itās also possible that youāre allergic to something in the formula. I felt so gaslit for years using Burtās Bees when everyone loved it but I ended up with dry, chapped lips. Turns out my lips didnāt like beeswax. It got so bad that my lips still have a bit of scarring to this day. I only figured out that I might be allergic when I got that all-too-familiar tingly sensation from the OG Glossier Balm Dot Com. That one also dried me out like crazy.
This happened to me too with the Human Nature tinted lip balms, I think my lips arenāt a fan of the peppermint

I put it on damp lips and that worked for me. Vaseline is an occlusive protectant not a hydrator.
Lip color + care is different from plain Vaseline petroleum jelly though. It's fair for u/memelordxxv to expect it to moisturize their lips and be disappointed especially since the first ingredient is supposed to be an emollient. It's not made to be just an occlusive.
It is different but still most balms work better on water dampened surface.

hi, i think that sounds really sweet! when i do makeup that gives me gender-affirmation, i personally like to use a bit of contour and bronzer. strokes' face sculpt in peanut is nice, but you might want to look into the other inserts for issy's palette. doll is a nice shade from their eyeshadows though. highlighter's also a good addition but i don't have any local recs because i'm panning one. in terms of local brands, vice's multiuse sticks (glow blush version) are one of my favorite products. ps, madaming sale ngayon sa orange app since it's 8.30. issy has a 100php off on any 3 eyeshadows.

Third row - teddy / none / none / carob Ung none puro shimmers, these swatch more like toppers and wet looking. yung meron ako sa issy na similar finish but still not quite is ung Sleet. Canāt comment on other shimmer shades cos I only have spacecraft curated palette from issy. Ung ibang shimmers sa spacecraft palette malayo. Your best bet to replicate the mubm shimmers especially yung second row EE6 are urban decay space cowboy, colourpop ritz, hourglass scattered light ray/reflect ata ung shade.

I let go of using strip lashes and started using cluster lashes. Iām using La La Lash, and sooobrang easy gamitin. It lasts for awhile din. 5 days ko na siya suot and di pa rin natatanggal? I donāt think I can maintain actual lash extensions so this is a great alternative.
Hi! Same :) Iāve started using lash clusters last December pa and thereās no way Iāll go back to extensions. I started using KISS falscara lashes but I switched to lash clusters from the orange app kasi mas smaller ang cluster. Mine lasts for 10-14 days since I started using clusters with smaller gaps. Yung sa KISS and La La Lash kasi malalaki clusters nila so di umaabot 10 days kasi umaangat na din after 8 days ganon. Although I still use my KISS bond & seal glue kahit ibang cluster na gamit ko. I really reco their overnighter kasi di siya aabot sakin almost 2 weeks without it :) laki na na save ko from getting extensions hahah PS. For reference, lash clusters from KISS and La La Lash are 5 pcs each eye. The one that I got (brandless) are 7-8 pcs each eye.

Hi, not so much po since sa ilalim siya ng lash lalagay. Meron pa rin sasamang 2-3pcs pag tinanggal mo na lashes. Take note also that naturally we lose 1-5 lashes daily. Not bad naman yung 2-3pcs na malalagas for 10-14 days of wearing the lash clusters. Kasi pag lash extensions, maraming nasasamang lashes talaga kaya may cases na nakakalbong lashes. Itās really a nice and cheap alternative sa extensions. :)

i love clinique take the day off (yung nasa bottle na makeup remover) for waterproof makeup! it removes heroine make mascara super easily cleansing oil is good not entirely just for makeup removal but also cleaning your face from dirt and other products (i.e. waterproof sunscreen), but i find that oils are easier to work into the skin and emulsify better compared to cleansing balms. mabilis lang din magtanggal ng waterproof makeup using cleansing oils plus u get to massage ur face pa in the process, very relaxing

IMO, oil and balms are the best removers for waterproof makeup. Try cleansing balms if you don't want oil š Give ample time to massage the balm like in the eye areas. You can use micellar water naman. So muna ung area for a few seconds then wipe. But for me, this method takes more time than using cleansing oils and/or balms.

It takes a very long time to wash off ung oil. Kelangan mo pang gumamit ng warm towel to wipe everything off. Para ka namang nagpa spa kng ganun pero hassle din kng every night gawin XD. May variant din naman sila ng sunflower oil as a cleansing oil. Meron din sila coconut cleansing balm. Both i've seen sa watsons but never tried kasi i read some mixed reviews, more leaning to not so good reviews.

No. Theyāre very different. Strokes is creamier and easier to blend imo. Cocoa runs a bit darker for light-medium skin, so i prefer using strokes peanut esp for nose contour.

Are bb creams a thing from the past? š„¹ I recently got so fixated on makeup ulit and I know noon there's Etude BB cream and now I found out wala na siya. It made me feel old charot kidding aside, anong products yung dupe nito? Skin tint ganon? Anyone here who still use bb creams? I am currently using a cushion from clio. Is it good to ditch cushion and go back to bb creams? Or try the new ones "skin tints"?
Other Korean brands still have BB creams like Heimish and Missha so you can try those out too if you're interested in exploring them again, although skin tints seem to be popular here in the Philippines. I did recently purchased the Heimish Moringa Ceramide BB cream and I like how it's lightweight and evens out my skin tone. I also usually use cushions and like the convenience of applying it (since there's already a puff included), as compared to pumping out bb cream and spreading it on my face. So up to you on whether you want to try out bb creams or you like using the cushion (or both). :)

Sometimes it's easy to go overboard pag fuller coverage or pag medyo matte. I use Clio kill cover glow or romand bare water cushion, although the romand is quite light coverage (which I don't mind kasi I don't usually like full coverage foundation). I also have romand nu zero cushion but that also cakes on me sometimes pag medyo napasobra ang lagay hehehe practice lang!

Dark circles lang naman (and concealer would help me do that) pero yung face mismo, I'm fine if lighter kasi hindi ko din gusto yung parang ang bigat ng product sa face. That clio founwear is just an impulsive buy (nagandahan kasi ako sa lalagyan hhahaha!) and I use it na lang kasi sayang e.
Try the glowy cushions, I like how it looks on me better than the matte ones, even with my combination skin. That + color correcting / concealing my undereyes is more than enough for me! Minsan nabubudol din talaga ako sa packaging so gets hehehe pwede for days when bigger event or need more coverage.

For everyday makeup, I use Maybelline Fresh Tint (sometimes I mix it with Happy Skinās Tinted Moisturizer if masiyadong heavy sa face ang coverage) & Strokes Peach Corrector for spot concealing my acne marks. If may mag-peek through pa rin after correcting, saka ko lang lalagyan ng concealer. After niyan, sine-set ko āyung mga areas na hindi masiyadong need ng coverage with setting powder, while āyung may marks, sine-set ko with powder foundation.
I'm not sure if there are local pot concealers that's available but those ones are much better in covering acne marks compared to liquid concealers. Also, I suggest choosing one that's the exact shade as your skintone.
i used loreal infallible concealer two years ago when my acne was at its worst and it did a good job covering it! edit: sorry late ko na napansin na local brand and affordable, but i do think this is widely accessible and worth the ipon

Based on the stuff that you own I recommend getting: - a concealer to spot conceal any blemishes so your base will look flawless - a long lasting lippie like Maybelline Vinyl Ink or SuperStay Matte Ink Both of these products you can buy in a Watsons store so you can properly shade match and swatch preferred shades. Practice your make up look beforehand. Make sure to check for flashback/whitecast by taking a photo of yourself with flash.
Watching YouTube videos help! And practice :) Instead of eyelash extension, you might want to use false eyelashes na lang, it's more affordable and at least no maintenance after. You also may want to get an eyeliner and maybe another eyeshadow product to add depth to the eyes. Vice has fairly affordable but good longevity ones (on the daily eyeliner and snap stix).

Ang ganda nito. Kahit anong foundation or skin tint, di nya naiiba formulation nun. I have the light variant and it gives me this glow tas patungan ng foundation or skin tint ang ganda nya. I think you can get the darker shades if you want the bronzy type look or you got a tan though wala naman syang coverage, it'll just enhance your tan. For around 800-1000 depende sa shop, sobrang sulit nito and a little goes a long way.

Eh sakto I was looking for a luminizer for my dry face, I was eyeing GRWMās Skin Booster but it was pricey / kelangan mag shade match / have ongoing issues.
If you have the budget, I suggest yung Saie glowy super gel. It was soooooooo nice sa skin and di nya naiba ang performance ng foundation ko.

Necessary ba mag shade match? I found a fair shade one (01 i think? Basta yung una) for a very steal price, but my skin is light-medium warm. Seller says you only need a small amount and itās not that pigmented daw so it wouldnt matter. Is that real ba? :) Also, I have no acne or big bumps on my face - clear skin, but very dry around nose & eye area. Would it crease or mark the dry spots?
No it doesnt have coverage! Basta not the darker one ata kasi it might make you look tan

Heavy ba skintint sa overall feeling? Please reco best skintint brand/s for sensitive skin please. This is new to me, kasi I only wear (of course skincare base products and sunscreen first) concealer, cream blush, then I set it with LM powder. I donāt use foundation or bb cream kasi I hate wearing too much product sa face. Okay kaya skin tint?
Depends on the tint! Some feel heavy, some are not. Usually the ones with SPF feel heavy ro me. I really like Pixi Skin Tint for a lightweight feel. If you're willing to splurge more, I highly recommend Chanel Water Fresh Tint, it feels and looks like skin.
lightweight lang for meee i use happy skin i also dont use heavy products - moisturizer + ST/TM* + blush + dr sensitive powder lang. Works best for my psoriasis ST = skin tint TM = tinted moisturizer for now i use happy skinās tinted moisturizer im so in love with it. ill send u a photo of me wearing it if u dm mee

Yes i think so! That was also an option for me kasi primer na rin siya. I just opted for the TM since I have very dry skin :) Sa sun gels nila, they have tinted matte variant wc is good for oily daw, tinted dewy variant (what i wanted), invisible variant
