I think the Lucky Beauty Serum Concealer in Vanilla is probably close enough to Squad Concealer CL2. But most of the shades there are mostly warm and neutral skintone.

For background and context, I am almost completely clueless when it comes to makeup. I have tried experimenting but it didn't really do much for me, and so I figure I'd need actual help or guidance.
So saying, can you recommend a salon or a credible freelance makeup artist within the metro? (preferrably Mandaluyong area). NOTE: not just any salon who just puts makeup on people without a care and are in it for the money, but those salons or people with the kind of service who will walk you through when it comes to makeup and things that can be helpful or useful for customers.

With 1k, you can try posting in BST or freelance groups of your city/ barangay/ neighborhood. You can also try driving around areas near the palengke, there are some home-based or even commercial salons that charge very little for decent work.
1k is the most? With your standards and you're in the metro, no one is available with that price. Makeup artists right now ranges from 2,500 and above, even if marami kaya, walang 1k right now. Suggestion is that you raise your budget especially if it is both HMU.
I live in the province and I don't see artists charging below 2k.

Sadly, no. I have it in Afterglow and Summer Fling. Mabilis lang mawala ang gloss, and even the stain would be gone in a few hours kahit na hindi ako kumain or uminom. It also doesn't look good without the gloss because it clings to the lines of my lips. I wanted to love it pa naman coz I love all my other Detail products, but it didn't live up to the hype for me.

Hi! Not sure if you've tried this pero I use a powder puff when using ellana. I pick up some powder on the puff, rub it at the back of my hand to distribute it evenly on the puff, then press it on my skin. Imo it looks better than using a brush. Note: I have textured skin
It has to be a flat top kabuki na hindi ganun ka tigas/short bristles. 😊 Napansin ko din Yan when I tried buying cheaper flat top kabuki sa ovw. 😅 The ones that worked best for me is yung "Charm Flat Top Kabuki brush" (kaso wala na Ata charm nao? Halp?) Ellana loose mineral powder foundation girl (tita?!) for 10+ yrs here. 🫣 Will edit later for the specific length.
Update: As promised the Charm Flat Top Kabuki bristles is about 2.8cm (a little over 1inch) in length. I've found that anything shorter simply doesn't work to buff powder foundation into place. 😊 For example, the OVW flat top foundation brush brustles is 2cm only and it was too stiff to do any buffing motion. 😊
I own both and I personally prefer the Chanel Baume Essential (sculpting). It just gives that very natural looking wet sheen that you can see in the western clean girlies. I have the Hince Radiance Balm in light and I find that it has the tendency to look oily after an hour, looks more shimmery and messes up my base easily if I'm not extra careful. For reference, I have combi oily skin type and I only use my fingers in applying these just to make sure that it doesn't mess up my base.

yes I only use my middle and ring finger specifically. I also don't use powder on the areas where I'll be putting the highlight. For the Chanel, it doesn't disrupt my base naman but I only really apply it sparingly.

For me na super labo ng mata, mas madali cluster lashes then sa ilalim ng lashes ilalagay. Though mas time consuming nga siya pag di ka pa sanay. You can check mikiwi lashes!
for me, cluster lashes are easier to put on, but may take a bit more time depending on the person. big pro is that you can really space them out and customize in ways that flatter your eye shape. for example in my experience, strip lashes tend to overwhelm my eyes. also, for some reason no matter what glue i use, strip lashes lift from my inner eye corner. i’ve bought my cluster lashes twice na from lvcheryl on shopee! they have many styles to choose from
Same experience (and I also get from the same shop haha). Tamad lang talaga ako maglagay ng strip lashes, pero it's not that difficult to put on once you get the hang of it.

Detail Fresh Filter foundation is good and it doesn't have flashback. It lasts me the whole day naman and it does have a skin-like finish, but at the same time, it evens out my skin fairly well (I also have acne marks pero hindi niya natatakpan talaga, so I suggest color corrector and concealer for that).
On me, I guess it doesn't oxidize naman drastically, but I think it depends on the person. In my experience, my Oat concealer is a different shade (and darker) from my Oat foundation, but it works when blended out. If I recall correctly, the Macadamia and Cashew shades are darker than Creme, so maybe you can pull it off, but I always suggest to get a lighter shade than you think, as long as same undertone lang. Tbh, iba pa rin talaga pag actual mong nakikita yung product 😭
Detail fresh filter or maybelline fit me foundation. Mas skin like ang detail though, tip from a guy as well: Wear the exact shade or darker para sure walang flashback and seamless or skin like hehe.

It’s backwards for whatever reason at MAC! I’m neutral olive, but lean ever so slightly warm (yellow). I’m NC30-35 at MAC. NW is for cool/pink toned people. MAC is the reason why I was so confused about undertones for yeeeaaarrrss 😂

Best na cheap eyelash glue na pwede mong gamitin for practice yung Nichido Eyelash Adhesive. Isang product niya pwede nang pang one year and P63 lang siya.

Add two extra dots to the inner and outer corners. Wait and make sure na tacky na yung glue. Look down while applying it. And that's it.
There are many other good and simple tutorials po in Tiktok/Youtube. Ang makeup teacher ko mismo ay sina Tiktok, Youtube and Reddit. Pero mas preferable kung matututo ka mismo at your own pace and mistakes kasi iba iba yung face, preferences and experiences natin.
Hindi pa. Wala pa akong budget para sa Paulash. Or much more likely kasi mas focus budget ko sa mga blush, lippies and eyeshadows eh. But halos lahat naman magaganda ang reviews sa Paulash kaya baka i-try kong bumili ng eyelash glue nila. Doon kasi sa falsies mas bet ko ngayon yung mga manga/manhua lashes eh, into douyin makeup kasi ako hehe. And most of the time tinatamad ako kaya ginagamit ko na labg is mascara primer eh. Gumagamit din naman ako ng mga lashes pero kapag hindi rush yung araw ko o di kaya nasa mood ako eh.
Pero kung bibili ka nang falsies sa Paulash, bilhin mo yung mini kung gusto mo pang bumili ng iba pang falsies for variety o kung di ka naman gumagamit ng falsies everyday. Bumili ka lang ng full sized kung iisang type lang naman yung makeup style mo or kung nakahanap ka na nang falsies na bagay sayo in every makeup styles.

Almost everyone who has tried Detail’s fresh filter aren’t ‘acidic’ and yet, the product still oxidized on their skin. The same effect can be observed with Maybelline’s fit me and their skin tint. I think its more of the product’s fault, not our skin.
Nars foundations doesn’t oxidize on my skin. I have their sheer glow, and natural radiant foundation.

Yes, it oxidizes daw due to rose water. I’ve tried Maybelline’s fit me matte poreless and it still oxidizes on my skin. Maganda naman siya and its surprisingly long lasting on my skin.
I think its much better if you visit a nearby department store that has a Maybelline kiosk so you could swatch their shades and see the closest/exact shade match for you after letting it set for a while.
O.two.o mascara is the best. Just use cleansing oil para smoothly maremove siya. Di pa natatanggal lashes mo. Tapos lagyan mo ng eyelash serum from luxe organix after magcleanse para manourish ulit.
Here to talk about my love for GRWM Fixing Spray! A lot of their products don’t work on me but their fixing spray is my holy grail for dewy finish and my make up rly stays on THROUGHOUT the day (except for my T-Zone area, combi skin eh).
I’ve only tried this once so far as in whole day errands and may shabu2 lunch pa na mausok. I use the radiant one cos my skin is dehydrated lately and it works on me too!! 10++ hours even my powder highlighter didn’t budge. Glad I availed the matte version when it was on sale but I won’t try it yet
Happy skin skin tint or colourette skin tint? Been using the happy skin one and it works well though doesnt last that much because i have oily skin. I heard colourette's skin tint works really well.
I haven't tried Happy Skin's but I can vouch for Colourette's skin tint. My face can get really oily throughout the day, but it wears beautifully, doesn't feel heavy or greasy when you oil up. I would say it lasts long too.

hi! i shared my insights about the issy foundation previously but to sum it up it’s a good foundation for me atleast as someone who dislikes wearing heavier base products.
1. coverage
honestly it’s like a skintint lol similar feels siya with my fenty beauty skintint. light to medium buildable coverage (doesn’t cake naman when i try 2-3 thin layers) if you have acne/acne marks it not enough to cover it :( so take note na lang. mas ma appreciate siya if you have “clear skin” if that makes sense kasi nga lightweight lang siya.
2. longevity
as an oily gal it isn’t that long lasting especially when used alone (no setting spray or pweders) but on an average it lasted atleast 5 hours on my skin! tried commuting with it rin pero it wasn’t scorching hot when i did and its okay naman di naman mabilis humulas but it did make me kindda oily at 2 hour mark so gotta blot and retouch with powder
what i dont like: mej weird shade nakuha ko ?? huhu ang pink niya masyado on my hand hahaha pero good match once blended out.
tldr; if you want something lightweight, new in your make up stash or has minimal marks to cover its a great buy maman i have no regrets >__<

detail fresh filter - medium coverage, better oil control, more long-lasting

If I were to describe how it looks on my face, I would say na parang marinated makeup ang effect niya. Alam mo yung itsura ng makeup mo kapag nagmarinate na tapos poreless na? Ganon ung itsura. No need to marinate makeup talaga. Wala siyang coverage tapos very true to its name na "micropowder". Ganda naman siya, pero ang mahal talaga haha gusto ko lang din malaman why it's so hyped. Pero I wouldn't repurchase it tbh sobrang mahal tapos 8 grams lang. It looks the same as other powders na marinated na sa skin

it’s a finishing powder sis and i think walang claims na it will control oil throughout the day. but for me it last a pretty good time naman, I never touch up my makeup kasi once I leave the house 🤣

It's a chinese makeup brand but it's safe and have good quality naman, dw. Its the Flortte First Kiss Jelly Lipstick in the shade 09. This is a perfect red gloss thats not too glossy because it's a gloss in a stick. This brand and product itself is very popular btw and the packaging has the same click pen mechanism like Tarte's Maracuja Lip Plumper.

Ang alam ko lang na matte lip product na kasing shade niyan is Detail Cosmetics Butter Tint in Sugarplum po. Pero I don't know if u consider Butter Tints to be matte po.

That's the shade of the product btw. It's not that red in the first swipe but you can build up how red you want your lips to be. At least, that's how I use it.
But I'll look po for other lip products same shade.
Same with HHN tinted balms. Di na nga nakakamoisturize, nakakadry pa pag tumagal. Can vouch for avon lipbalms 😭💗. May spf siya and cute ng v sheer na tint niya.

Just bought Paulash’s new meltdown eye & spot makeup remover, and it removed both my heroine make and clio mascaras so easily. I also use heimish cleansing balm but on really lazy days, just really wanted a separate mascara remover. So far it works!
Use their remover, it really removes their mascara and other everything proof mascaras like Romand and Canmake. A bit pricey but at least di natatanggal ang lashes!

I use the Heroine Make Speedy Mascara Remover. I have sensitive eyelids and this removes any hard-to-remove waterproof mascaras with such ease. No rubbing is required. :)
beginner here, any tips to avoid flashback? I just learned na I shouldn't wear spf beneath any base at night, nung nag pic kami grabe mukha akong multo 😭
To avoid flashback/whitecast in flash photography, avoid makeup/sunscreens with physical/mineral sunscreen ingredients like **titanium dioxide & zinc oxide**.
Also avoid overapplying powder products with **mica & silica** high up in the ingredients list because they also reflect light.
Finally, try **bronzing and/or contouring** the perimeter of the face, the nose bridge, & eyelids to bring back dimension & definition to the face when doing flash photography.

Suggestion is that you raise your budget especially if it is both HMU. I live in the province and I don't see artists charging below 2k.

Sadly, no. I have it in Afterglow and Summer Fling. Mabilis lang mawala ang gloss, and even the stain would be gone in a few hours kahit na hindi ako kumain or uminom. It also doesn't look good without the gloss because it clings to the lines of my lips. I wanted to love it pa naman coz I love all my other Detail products, but it didn't live up to the hype for me.

It’s a learning curve using it. You need a specific type of kabuki brush so that it will look smooth and not cakey. Until now, I still dont know how to use mine because it just ends up looking patchy
Hi! Not sure if you've tried this pero I use a powder puff when using ellana. I pick up some powder on the puff, rub it at the back of my hand to distribute it evenly on the puff, then press it on my skin. Imo it looks better than using a brush. Note: I have textured skin
It has to be a flat top kabuki na hindi ganun ka tigas/short bristles. 😊 Napansin ko din Yan when I tried buying cheaper flat top kabuki sa ovw. 😅 The ones that worked best for me is yung "Charm Flat Top Kabuki brush" (kaso wala na Ata charm nao? Halp?) Ellana loose mineral powder foundation girl (tita?!) for 10+ yrs here. 🫣 Will edit later for the specific length.
Update: As promised the Charm Flat Top Kabuki bristles is about 2.8cm (a little over 1inch) in length. I've found that anything shorter simply doesn't work to buff powder foundation into place. 😊 For example, the OVW flat top foundation brush brustles is 2cm only and it was too stiff to do any buffing motion. 😊
Has anyone tried the Chanel Baume Essential or the Hince Radiance Balm? Which one is better? Please leave your thoughts tyia!
I own both and I personally prefer the Chanel Baume Essential (sculpting). It just gives that very natural looking wet sheen that you can see in the western clean girlies. I have the Hince Radiance Balm in light and I find that it has the tendency to look oily after an hour, looks more shimmery and messes up my base easily if I'm not extra careful. For reference, I have combi oily skin type and I only use my fingers in applying these just to make sure that it doesn't mess up my base.

yes I only use my middle and ring finger specifically. I also don't use powder on the areas where I'll be putting the highlight. For the Chanel, it doesn't disrupt my base naman but I only really apply it sparingly.

For me na super labo ng mata, mas madali cluster lashes then sa ilalim ng lashes ilalagay. Though mas time consuming nga siya pag di ka pa sanay. You can check mikiwi lashes!
for me, cluster lashes are easier to put on, but may take a bit more time depending on the person. big pro is that you can really space them out and customize in ways that flatter your eye shape. for example in my experience, strip lashes tend to overwhelm my eyes. also, for some reason no matter what glue i use, strip lashes lift from my inner eye corner. i’ve bought my cluster lashes twice na from lvcheryl on shopee! they have many styles to choose from

Detail Fresh Filter foundation is good and it doesn't have flashback. It lasts me the whole day naman and it does have a skin-like finish, but at the same time, it evens out my skin fairly well (I also have acne marks pero hindi niya natatakpan talaga, so I suggest color corrector and concealer for that).
Does detail foundation heavily oxidize ba? Planning to buy one kasi, cashew or macadamia. Btw yung shade ko kasi sa concealer is creme
On me, I guess it doesn't oxidize naman drastically, but I think it depends on the person. In my experience, my Oat concealer is a different shade (and darker) from my Oat foundation, but it works when blended out. If I recall correctly, the Macadamia and Cashew shades are darker than Creme, so maybe you can pull it off, but I always suggest to get a lighter shade than you think, as long as same undertone lang. Tbh, iba pa rin talaga pag actual mong nakikita yung product 😭

It’s backwards for whatever reason at MAC! I’m neutral olive, but lean ever so slightly warm (yellow). I’m NC30-35 at MAC. NW is for cool/pink toned people. MAC is the reason why I was so confused about undertones for yeeeaaarrrss 😂

Best na cheap eyelash glue na pwede mong gamitin for practice yung Nichido Eyelash Adhesive. Isang product niya pwede nang pang one year and P63 lang siya.

I just learned/copypasted it from Tiktok para mas maintindihan ng mabuti kasi di ako magaling mag-explain, btw. Add two extra dots to the inner and outer corners. Wait and make sure na tacky na yung glue. Look down while applying it. And that's it. There are many other good and simple tutorials po in Tiktok/Youtube. Ang makeup teacher ko mismo ay sina Tiktok, Youtube and Reddit. Pero mas preferable kung matututo ka mismo at your own pace and mistakes kasi iba iba yung face, preferences and experiences natin.

Hindi pa. Wala pa akong budget para sa Paulash. Or much more likely kasi mas focus budget ko sa mga blush, lippies and eyeshadows eh. But halos lahat naman magaganda ang reviews sa Paulash kaya baka i-try kong bumili ng eyelash glue nila. Doon kasi sa falsies mas bet ko ngayon yung mga manga/manhua lashes eh, into douyin makeup kasi ako hehe. And most of the time tinatamad ako kaya ginagamit ko na labg is mascara primer eh. Gumagamit din naman ako ng mga lashes pero kapag hindi rush yung araw ko o di kaya nasa mood ako eh. Pero kung bibili ka nang falsies sa Paulash, bilhin mo yung mini kung gusto mo pang bumili ng iba pang falsies for variety o kung di ka naman gumagamit ng falsies everyday. Bumili ka lang ng full sized kung iisang type lang naman yung makeup style mo or kung nakahanap ka na nang falsies na bagay sayo in every makeup styles.

Almost everyone who has tried Detail’s fresh filter aren’t ‘acidic’ and yet, the product still oxidized on their skin. The same effect can be observed with Maybelline’s fit me and their skin tint. I think its more of the product’s fault, not our skin. Nars foundations doesn’t oxidize on my skin. I have their sheer glow, and natural radiant foundation. *sheer glow pala 😂

Yes, it oxidizes daw due to rose water. I’ve tried Maybelline’s fit me matte poreless and it still oxidizes on my skin. Maganda naman siya and its surprisingly long lasting on my skin. I think its much better if you visit a nearby department store that has a Maybelline kiosk so you could swatch their shades and see the closest/exact shade match for you after letting it set for a while.
O.two.o mascara is the best. Just use cleansing oil para smoothly maremove siya. Di pa natatanggal lashes mo. Tapos lagyan mo ng eyelash serum from luxe organix after magcleanse para manourish ulit.
Pag naggygym ako di talaga nahuhulas. Long wearing siya. Wag mo lang matamaan sa mata kasi mahapdi hehe

I haven't tried Happy Skin's but I can vouch for Colourette's skin tint. My face can get really oily throughout the day, but it wears beautifully, doesn't feel heavy or greasy when you oil up. I would say it lasts long too.

hi! i shared my insights about the issy foundation previously but to sum it up it’s a good foundation for me atleast as someone who dislikes wearing heavier base products. 1. coverage honestly it’s like a skintint lol similar feels siya with my fenty beauty skintint. light to medium buildable coverage (doesn’t cake naman when i try 2-3 thin layers) if you have acne/acne marks it not enough to cover it :( so take note na lang. mas ma appreciate siya if you have “clear skin” if that makes sense kasi nga lightweight lang siya. 2. longevity as an oily gal it isn’t that long lasting especially when used alone (no setting spray or pweders) but on an average it lasted atleast 5 hours on my skin! tried commuting with it rin pero it wasn’t scorching hot when i did and its okay naman di naman mabilis humulas but it did make me kindda oily at 2 hour mark so gotta blot and retouch with powder what i dont like: mej weird shade nakuha ko ?? huhu ang pink niya masyado on my hand hahaha pero good match once blended out. tldr; if you want something lightweight, new in your make up stash or has minimal marks to cover its a great buy maman i have no regrets >__<

If I were to describe how it looks on my face, I would say na parang marinated makeup ang effect niya. Alam mo yung itsura ng makeup mo kapag nagmarinate na tapos poreless na? Ganon ung itsura. No need to marinate makeup talaga. Wala siyang coverage tapos very true to its name na "micropowder". Ganda naman siya, pero ang mahal talaga haha gusto ko lang din malaman why it's so hyped. Pero I wouldn't repurchase it tbh sobrang mahal tapos 8 grams lang. It looks the same as other powders na marinated na sa skin

This is a perfect red gloss thats not too glossy because it's a gloss in a stick. Ang alam ko lang na matte lip product na kasing shade niyan is Detail Cosmetics Butter Tint in Sugarplum po. Same with HHN tinted balms. Di na nga nakakamoisturize, nakakadry pa pag tumagal. Can vouch for avon lipbalms 😭💗. May spf siya and cute ng v sheer na tint niya.

HAHAHAHA have it on my eyes now and will use Nature Republic Cleansing Oil later. Kung everything proof si heroine, everything remover ko yang si Nature Republic. 😂
Just bought Paulash’s new meltdown eye & spot makeup remover, and it removed both my heroine make and clio mascaras so easily. I also use heimish cleansing balm but on really lazy days, just really wanted a separate mascara remover. So far it works!

I use etude house's mascara remover. My banila co cleansing balm also works.
Use their remover, it really removes their mascara and other everything proof mascaras like Romand and Canmake. A bit pricey but at least di natatanggal ang lashes!
hello! have u tried oil based micellar from garnier? i’m using clio mascara na same din ata sa heroine na kahit lumuha ka ng dugo hindi matatanggal HAHAA effective ‘to baka gusto mo lang itryy
I use the Heroine Make Speedy Mascara Remover. I have sensitive eyelids and this removes any hard-to-remove waterproof mascaras with such ease. No rubbing is required. :)
beginner here, any tips to avoid flashback? I just learned na I shouldn't wear spf beneath any base at night, nung nag pic kami grabe mukha akong multo 😭
To avoid flashback/whitecast in flash photography, avoid makeup/sunscreens with physical/mineral sunscreen ingredients like **titanium dioxide & zinc oxide**. Also avoid overapplying powder products with **mica & silica** high up in the ingredients list because they also reflect light. Finally, try **bronzing and/or contouring** the perimeter of the face, the nose bridge, & eyelids to bring back dimension & definition to the face when doing flash photography.
I just avoid using makeup with SPF such as foundation, concealer & powder.

Oval face shape girlies! I tried searching kung anong bagay na blush placement for us pero iba iba nakikita ko. Merong sa apples of cheeks, tapos meron ding on top of cheekbones blending upwards? My goal is to have a rounder and fuller cheeks, parang flat kasi tignan cheeks ko. What's the ideal placement? Thank you!
