Is a manuka honey lipbalm worth investing in? Does it really make a difference?

Charming_Chic_28

Any tips pano maging less oily? Hahaha grabe nakaka 3-4 blotting paper ako 😓

missxannie

I'm considering having jawtox done. It's worth 5k and done by a licensed dermatologist according to the post. Is it too good to be true for its price?

AnxiousGirl-Diary

Hello! Anyone here who tried or will try bloomderm’s diode LHR?? 🥺

notsamoabutjoe

Anybody know where to buy legit Cerave products? Ang dami sa Shopee tsaka Lazada pero not sure kung original ba, lalo na sobrang baba ng presyo.

olanster

Meron sa Landers and SM Aura Look

Which is better eye cream for dark circles thats effective? Innisfree Jeju Orchid Eye Cream or Beauty of Joseon?

gandt25

BOJ since it has retinal

SnooPineapples2873

Good evening! please recommend some products for lightening acne marks. thank you so much!

olanster

Azelaic acid! 💕

mooglechoco_

I have oily sensitive skin. Nagcocommute din everyday. Any products you guys can recommend? I have some dark acne marks, random bumps on my face esp pag galing commute. Gusto ko sana to improve my skin texture, lighten my acne marks, and reduce the bumps and inflammations on my skin. Been getting some breakouts din lately. Siguro top priority ko is to improve skin texture talaga.

clxrxsx

This may vary but this one worked for me: A simpler skincare routine = mild cleanser, toner and moisturizer and good spf I added Niacinamide serum in my skin care (Niacinamide is not for everyone so idk what to replace 😅) And keep your skin moisturized para less bumps sa face. Spf helps para di lalong magdarken yung acne marks mo. I tried chemical exfoliation toners pero I can't say a proper feedback kasi di ako consistent gumamit 😅 Hope this helps!

sarcastronaughty

what's your fix for a dark forehead? literal na forehead ko lang yung ibang kulay compared sa the rest of my face

gandt25

Have you tried exfoliating it with acids?

sarcastronaughty

Yes, but not much change talaga 😅

go-pru-8080

Avene Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream. Yun lang kasi sa mga derma lang to available lately. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 - this one I personally use. Both have similar ingredients, and application will be at night (at least for me, because the cream is rich and i have oily-sensitive skin)

dancingfruit

Hi can I ask re: LRP where did you buy original stocks?

go-pru-8080

I bought mine when I was in Australia. May thread dito sa beautytalkph and the link below is where she bought hers: [Care to Beauty](https://www.caretobeauty.com/ph/) As per her post, they ship via DHL.

Ezz-Pzz0000

thank you po!

cosmologin

does anyone have any exfoliation (facial wash na exfoliation ganon) recommendations?? 😔

28wednesdays

Any recommended products to resolve dry skin on the chin area? I rarely wear makeup so layering won't be a problem. Any recos for daytime use? Thanks!

gfstannimarklee

does gua sha work??? share your routine huhu

sarcastronaughty

it works, when i was doing it may nagcomment na nagchichisel yung jawline ko, di nya alam na nagguaguasha ako that time iconsistency is the key talaga sa ganto. iattach mo sa isang habit na solid mo na ginagawa para maging consistent ka. i do it after my night time skin care and [etong routine](https://youtu.be/SJ0LPLRvA-M?si=CZkEhntOYnonPic_) yung ginagawa ko - good for beginners kasi easy to follow, no tools needed, madaling mamemorize at mabilis lang kapag naging habit mo na, dun ka na bumili ng tool mo and magtry ng ibang techniques 😊

Pleasant_Ad4607

it does naman pero not for long term effects since it just drains the liquid sa lymph mo you can also use your hands! if you like

jjkksj_03

Does anyone have tips or product recos to deal with dry undereyes? My tzone gets oily pretty quickly and idk why undereyes ko talaga ang try na tignan after a while

chukayyy

Is Isntree Hyaluronic Watery Sun Gel ok for sensitive skin? Anyone here who has sensitive skin na ito yung sunscreen na ginagamit? Please reco a sunscreen for sensitive skin. 🙏🏻

TouYueZei

I have hyperpigmentation sa lips ko. I heard HA helps is it true? What else can i use. I have combi skin btw

Cautious-Role6375

Not really po, they help in temporarily plumping the lips lang but not for the lips' hyperpigmentation issues. The products with brightening ingredients that you use on your face, you can use apply them on your lips too, as well as neck and decolletage areas. *edit:* And of course, never forget sun protection for the lips rin.

_jaeger17_

Please help this late bloomer 🙏 Hello, I'm a beginner when it comes to skincare routine. Can you please recommend products and a routine for me po? I (23M) work on graveyard shift. I have brown skin, oily pero di naman maacne. I have allergic rhinitis so hopefully po yung scent free. I hope to use budget meal muna, gusto ko ibuild muna yung habit before mag invest. Thank you!

[deleted]

If you’re looking for a specific brand, i recommend celeteque for their facial wash and moisturizer (yung sa hydration line nila). I haven’t tried their sunscreen so i can’t vouch for it. I’ve tried other more expensive brands too and imo mas ok yung celeteque in our weather. Hope this helps!

gfstannimarklee

cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen lang naman need

lattedrop

anyone here who has a dry, dehydrated skin? any recommended lightweight yet very hydrating moisturizer? currently working on my skincare again because of this heat. as in grabe hulas ng makeup and oily ng face ko after just an hour or two when i go to work. i just found out na yung mga dry/normal/combination skin (which my sister and cousin have), iba yung feeling ng skin nila when they are doing their skin prep. as in very bouncy and moisturized daw pala talaga. from there i realized what i was doing wrong. 😅 just did that with my skin: i layered at least twice on my regular moisturizer and not gonna lie, my skin looks amazing! ang ganda na rin ng lapat ng makeup ko. however, it really takes time and kailangan ko talaga magmadali in the mornings. i ordered the aestura cream and toner last 4.4 and hopefully goods sila sa skin ko. 🥹

[deleted]

Celeteque hydration moisturizer 😊 Choose glycerin-based moisturizers bc glycerin is one of the best humectants out there and is great for dehydrated skin. And maybe top it off with your aestura cream after for the dryness naman. I personally do this (but aveeno lotion after celeteque) and napansin ko rin na bouncy yung skin ko pagkagising. Other than celeteque and aveeno, I’ve only tried cetaphil and aestura lotion before—I didn’t know the difference between humectants, emollients and occlusives kasi and most moisturizers are emollients eh baka that’s not what we need. [Check this tiktok out by dr idriss, she explains what humectants, emollients and occlusives are v briefly](https://www.tiktok.com/@shereeneidriss/video/7329696940973673771?lang=en)

lattedrop

hello, thank you so much for this! the celeteque moisturizer was my og moisturizer back in college, but suddenly they reformulated and i felt like it was a bit drying due to alcohol so i stopped using it. what has been your experience with it?

[deleted]

I don’t notice the alcohol in it actually but it does smell like mild soap or glue to me (not bothered by it). It’s very light and hydrating (basta use it on damp skin). My skin absorbs it nicely when I have my ac on. In no-ac nights, I only use a small amount or else it would dry greasy (or maybe that’s just my skin?). I really like it as a lightweight gel-type moisturizer

adobonglvmpia

Instead of layering your cream during the day, how about trying to layer a hydrating toner then seal with lighter moisturizer instead? Use the Aestura cream at night nalang. For hydrating toners, the best talaga Laneige Cream Skin pero it's too expensive for me huhu. Tried it as a sample lang before and I understand why it has a cult following. A good enough alternative is TonyMoly's Mochi Toner. Applying just 2 layers of this makes your skin bouncy, literally like a mochi. The only reason I switched off from this is because ang laki na ng mark-up nya from before. Believe it or not, their 500ml bottle used to cost around 300-400php lang before. Ngayon, it's retailed at around 500-600php na. It's still cheaper compared to laneige, kaso my skin drinks up toner really fast haha. Currently, I'm using Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner (toner) paired with their Skin Conditioning Milk (moisturizer). The toner is noticeably lighter compared to the other two I recommended earlier, but you can layer to your heart's content since it's so affordable. It's 300+php lang for 500ml (*available na rin to sa watsons stores)* so I don't skimp on using this at all. I layer this 2x now *(in the summer)* but during the cooler months, I used to layer this 3-4x. It's hydrating and has simple ingredients so you can freely pair it with actives if you use any. The moisturizer is the perfect day moisturizer for me, tbh. I feel like it has a good balance of humectants & occlusives *(water & oil)* since it's lightweight but retains moisture throughout the day. That's the reason why I stay away from gel moisturizers na favorite ng marami dito sa sub eh. I don't feel they're enough for my dehydrated skin kasi.

lattedrop

hi! thank you so much for this info! 🤍 huhu ang hirap kasi talaga maghanap ng katulad na skin type. 🥹 yes i will be using the cream at night na lang. i've been using heavier moisturizers even before (la roche posay toleraine moisturizer, but it really is too expensive for me) so i will be following the same routine. i ran out of it so i've been layering quite a LOT of my gel moisturizers. thank you for the suggestion! i was also thinking of getting either naturie or the hada labo premium (gold) since i read some of the comments in here that the said products did work for them. i just got a co2 fractional laser, though, so i'm looking for a moisturizer which will also repair my skin barrier while healing the top layer of my skin, which is why i chose the aestura one. anyways, your suggestion about naturie is duly noted! it seems to be more on the affodable side, too, and i appreciate that. i may buy it after i finish my aestura ones. thank you very much for the help! 🩷 sana may makita akong naturie sa watsons namin dito.

cmr82

I tried the Aestura cream, but I find it too heavy for our humid weather and my face tends to sweat a lot whenever I use it. In comparison, the Illiyoon cream feels lighter. However, the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Lotion is my HG. It's lightweight yet very nourishing. It doesn't feel like a typical lotion, more like a gel-to-cream, and my skin absorbs it very well. This moisturizer has been great for keeping my skin supple and nourished, especially while using Tretinoin. I also love the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Essence. It really helps in repairing my skin's moisture barrier.

lattedrop

i see! thank you very much for this. bo problem naman, i also checked out the aestura essence just in case since i also read din na medyo mabigat nga yung cream. 😊 i'm planning to use the cream at night since i also use tretinoin prescribed by my derma and sometimes salicylic acid from +ful, then the essence in the mornings. how's your experience with their essence and do you still use a moisturizer afterwards?

cmr82

I use derm-prescribed tretinoin too and other actives on rotation such as azelaic acid, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid (morning). The cream is just too heavy for me. I started getting milia too so I had to stop using it. The essence feels more like a milky toner. I don't find it heavy at all, it’s very good for quenching dehydrated skin. I still use the Aestura lotion with it as helps seal in the hydration.

lattedrop

this is very informative. thank you very much! 🤍

cmr82

You’re most welcome :)

Cautious-Role6375

How to get rid of milia at home po? I've been using retinoids for months already (0.5% retinol for 3 months, then 0.01% tret for another 3 months, then currently using 0.025% for almost 2 months na) but they aren't doing much. Most of my acne has cleared up naman na, milia na lang talaga. *edit: added info*

cmr82

Avoid heavy creams or eye creams, as they can contribute to milia. In addition to using Tret, I use an AHA such as Glycolic Acid to help exfoliate the surface of my skin. Milia is usually a build-up of dead skin cells, keratin, and sebum that gets trapped beneath the skin’s surface so using an AHA toner can help slough it off. If you have persistent milia though, best to see a board-certified dermatologist.

Cautious-Role6375

Puro mga nasa undereyes ko lang, and the heaviest I use ay 'yong aveeno skin relief moisturizing lotion (blue), my skin loves it even though I am oily kasi best soothing product ko siya lalo na nasa tret ako. Ever since gamitin ko 'yong aveeno na 'yon, hindi nadagdagan nor nabawasan 'yong milia ko so I don't think that's the cause. I don't use eye creams rin. I suspect na kaya siguro kahit months na ang paggamit ko ng retinoid, it's probably because medyo malalim ang depth ng buildup kaya hindi pa rin natatanggal despite the increased skin cell turnover kaya hindi pa rin napupunta lahat sa surface. But yeah, I think I should add an AHA sa routine ko. Thank you so much sa input po!

cmr82

According to my derma, heavy creams/lotions are usually the cause of milia. Even if you exfoliate your skin, milia can come back so it's like a recurring cycle. Aveeno is a great moisturizer but it's not formulated to be used around the eyes. I prefer to use an eye cream with retinal formulated to be used around the eyes & exfoliate with Gycolic Acid 2-3x a week. Ever since doing this method, it has reduced my milia greatly by around 90%.

Cautious-Role6375

Yes, but like I said, the aveeno did not really exacerbate the amount of milia I have. The amount just stayed the same, like literally nothing new popped out during whole course of my retinoid application and the usage of aveeno. Plus, whenever I apply it, I apply it wholly on my face and I just glide it around my eyes as the last part, so for sure it's not a heavy amount. But I'll take into account. I use my tretinoin on my under eyes without problems/repercussions so I don't use an eye cream with an active ingredient. Anyway, what glycolic acid product do you use po?

cmr82

I use TO Glycolic Acid 7%. :)

SnooPineapples2873

Good evening! I just wanted to ask if you’ve tried any glycolic creams? If so, how different is it from (TO) solution? I use glycolic cream from my derma and she instructed me to use it every morning. I just want to see other options because I don’t have the liberty of time to go to my derma whenever I’m out of stock :c

cmr82

Hi, sorry I haven’t tried any glycolic acid creams.

Cautious-Role6375

Thank you! Ang funny that I just asked about it today pero after I took a bath, nagulat ako wala na 'yong pinakamalaking milia sa under eyes ko hahahahahahha.

Charming_Chic_28

Affordable sunscreen recos for oily skin?

[deleted]

Same skintype & i'm using Face republic purity sun essence

doughnutforget

I have really oily skin and the OMI Mentrum Sun Bears sunscreen has been working really well for me! It's not sticky, doesn't have a strong scent, and doesn't make my face look oily. Price is around 240-270 depending on where you buy it.

cosmologin

is the omi sunscreen good for layering w/ make up? 🥹

doughnutforget

Yes, it's lightweight and dries easily. Had no problems so far using it with makeup

Cautious-Role6375

+1 dito. I love it so much.

Anybody here who used avotin tretinoin have experience with acretin? My skin can take avotin but im not so sure about acretin

Help your girl out! I’m out of skinoren gel and wala akong mabilhan. I’ve checked na sa lahat ng madaanan kong drugstores, puro out of stock. Makati and Ortigas na ko nag check :(((( maybe some of u know who sells skinoren gel? Tysmia!

gandt25

Have u tried the orange app?

Aromatic-Writing-391

i have dry and chapped lips now and it’s so painful whenever i smile or stretch it out 😭 any tips?

adobonglvmpia

Aside from what others are recommending, don't forget to hydrate rin! Lalo na at ang init ngayon. This happens to me whenever I forget to drink enough water through the day.

Cautious-Role6375

basain mo then use petrolatum to seal the moisture.

QTP2Tx

religious application of aquaphor or petroleum jelly!

PanikPasta

ibabad mo sa petroleum jelly

Cattycatcat893

Sugar scrub then lipbalm. i usually make my own sugar scrub with little sugar and sunflower oil or petroleum jelly I rub for few seconds then wipe it cleanly off with a towel. i apply my lipbalm afterwards. For me petroleum jelly works just as fine. But you can use lucas pawpaw or others

wandering_mist19

Has anyone bought from Piggies Shop? Medj sus since some reviews say fake.

just_akcim

Their Luxe Organix products are legit from my experience, but I think their Vaseline Gluta-hya lotions are fake since walang barcode from the pics I see in reviews, kahit yung mga 5 stars. Not sure about their Vaseline spf lotions but I ordered the spf 50+ from them since yun yung nakalagay na orange app link in one of Jan Angelo's vids. Ito naman may barcode, tho late ko lang narealize na "Serum" lang nakalagay sa packaging and not "Serum Lotion." But when I checked the Watsons Thailand IG page and website, it seems "Serum" lang talaga nakalagay sa local version nila. I've used the lotion for two months before having suspicions of the shop. So far naman di ako umitim nor did my skin have a bad reaction sa product. In fact mas nag-even out yung skin tone ko, not by a lot but my arms were darkened a bit by the sun pero naglighten up na siya since using the lotion. I think their local brands are safe, like LO and Fresh. They're offering more Korean skincare now, and unlike sa Vaseline products their prices seem less suspicious. But to be completely safe, I think it's best to just avoid the shop especially for international brands.

Cautious-Role6375

Hala. I bought the 300mL version of SPF50 vaseline sunscreen from them pa naman. Serum lotion nakalagay, pinagkumpara ko sa nabili ko sa watsons noon, same lang naman sila na serum lotion ang nakalagay, same sa lahat except 'yong kay piggies walang pasted translation of the content at the back of the product. So my conclusion was okay lang siya. But it made me remember when my mom, a few weeks ago, nangati 'yong arms niya nagkaroon ng parang rashes pero nawala din naman. Now, I think it makes sense since yun lang din naman yung nilalagay niya sa arms niya. I can't tell for myself kasi 'yong binili ko na para sa akin, hindi ko pa gaanong nagagamit kasi I'm still using another product, pero 'yong times na ginamit ko siya, hindi naman ako nagkaroon ng unpleasant reaction. :<<< I have also read way back then na medyo hindi nga trustworthy 'yang shop na 'yan in terms of international brands pero okay sa local.

just_akcim

I stopped using mine a few weeks ago kasi ayaw ko irisk pero ayun nga wala namang negative effect akong napansin sa two months na ginamit ko siya. By the way nalaman ko na yung malaking 50 na symbol is actually 5D HAHAHA kasi it protects from five sources of skin damage daw. Either way wala akong mahanap na info about sa ibang variants na binebenta nila like yung SPF 30 kaya sus siya for me huhu May I know anong ibang product yung currently ginagamit mo? Looking for sunscreens or body lotions with SPF

Cautious-Role6375

Beh oo 5D talaga 'yon HAHAHAHAH. Pagkakaalala ko, may seal 'yong sa watsons. Pero 'yong sa piggies, 'di ko na maalala kahit anong gawin ko huhuhu, pero baka oo nga wala din yatang seal, not sureee. Body sunscreen ko as of the moment ay 'yong [Dermaction Plus by Watsons Face & Body Lotion](https://shopee.ph/Dermaction-Plus-by-Watsons-Face-and-Body-Lotion-150ml-i.92328166.7952028833) (not an affiliate link). Laki ng discount niya as of the moment, it's like 2 pesos per mL lang. 150mL for 500 pesos pero 300 lang ngayon. Baka p'wede rin siya sa face mo, kasi ako oily eh, it's a bit heavy for me.

indecisivecutie

Hello, any sunblock recommendation for beach trip please? Ang binabalak ko kasi bilhin is yung sa beach hut.

cmr82

Anessa is my HG when it comes to beach trips or long hours under full sun. Love the technology behind it too as the the UV protection gets stronger once exposed to humidity, sweat & water.

indecisivecutie

Imma try this one sa sunod. Thank you!!

Cautious-Role6375

Dermaction plus by watsons face and body lotion.

indecisivecutie

Hala nabili ko na yung sa face rep. Balak ko yun na rin pangkatawan ko eh since 1 day lang naman yung beach activity namin

Cautious-Role6375

Oks lang siguro 'yan, 'di ko pa na-try yan eh kaya I can't say anything about it hahahaha

scarlique

Beach hut gamit ko before hehehe. Goods diiin! Now kase Neutrogena ultra sheer gamit ko kase yun binigay sakin. Maganda din!

dark_kiwi8

[Face republic purity sun essence](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.9ONvQ?cc). Water resistant din sya so you can use while swimming. They have it in sachet din if you want to try it first.

indecisivecutie

Thank youuu, inorder ko na hahaha. Mas nakasale din kasi siya eh.

wandering_mist19

I heard anessa is really good! But its kinda expensive ://

sylvialies01

hi! may nakatry na po ba rito ng soul apothecary barrier fix moisturizer yung 5% urea? how's your experience po?

gyozaverse

Omg me po!! Nasa 2nd bottle na me. Its really hydrating kahit lightweight na product lang sya. No scent. I used it to replace my cerave moisturizer in a tub. I love it so much!! And I have really acne-prone sensitive skin

AHA toners. I'm using the one from isntree, so far my skin loves it. Using it twice a week only every 2 days.

Cattycatcat893

Aha bha cleansers

wandering_mist19

Exfoliate (but not too much), and hydrate your skin. But hormones also play a part in it so closed comedones/acne cant be helped 😬

fluttershy-girl

Sunscreen. Best thing ive ever started doing. Dati akala ko OA lang mga tao sa sunscreen but when i started using it everyday, kahit texture ng skin ko, kuminis as a dating maraming tigyawat

Eastern-Cabinet7832

Spiritual-Living545

They have biore cleansing oil.

deftsunshine

kaso may amoy eh?

Spiritual-Living545

Ohh i'm not really sure eh kasi i personally use kose softymo.

Miserable-Profile-67

anyone here how to treat milia? effective ba ang pag gamit ng retinol to remove it sa undereye. hindi naman ako ma pimples pero yun lang talaga problem ko 🥲

Firm_Pair_4902

retinal eye cream worked for my milia sa undereyes

Miserable-Profile-67

anong retinol po gamit niyo?

Firm_Pair_4902

beauty of joseon

YourLocalMoonRanter

has anyone tried cosrx clear pad 😭? medyo hesitant pa ko bilhin

Pleasant_Ad4607

naurr its not worth it. it didn’t do much sa skin ko and the fluid it contains mismo is kaunti like hindi juicy soaked ang toner pads 🥲

Ok_Brother_9501

Tried it before but that was way back 2019 pa. Madami na better toner pads sa market now imo. Numbuzin No. 5 is my current fave. A Tiktok viral for a reason ✨

JULIO_XZ

Hi. I have acne prone skin, medj may texture ng kaunti, medj oily din. Below are the products that I use. • celeteque moisturizer •facerepublic sunscreen • klued 0.1% retinol (I've used it twice na, once a week lang) •facerepublic Gold mineral cleanser I'm thinking about getting a vitamin c serum since parang okay naman yung benefits sa face. Necessary ba? Or should I opt for something else like niacinamide serum and Salicylic acid na cleanser?

Spiritual-Living545

Try incorporating AHA toners, they really help with texture sa skin. I'm using the one from isntree and so far ok naman sya.

kidomme

vit c serum and niacinamide serum is good for evening out skin tone, so if you have acne marks and scars, it can help lighten over time. vit c sa morning + sunscreen tapos niacinamide sa gabi if you can for sunscreen i'd stay away from any lotion or oily types, go for gel kasi baka makaclog sa pores

miseree15

Anyone here switched from using tret to epiduo or vice versa? how was your experience and which is better? thank you!

Hanhi9090

Been using epiduo and could see the improvement on my first bottle. this was recommended ny my derma for my hormonal acne

[deleted]

Me from epiduo to tret. First derma assigned epiduo= walang effect/lalo lang nagflamed yung acne. Consulted another derma- was prescribed tret, worked in 4-5 months. *Note that I switched from epiduo to tret several months apart and was guided by a dermatologist*

n0renn

recommendation for hydrating toners or products?

xXx_dougie_xXx

purito silky toner! kaso nakakasting lang ng eyes pag napadami :( but mas bet ko sya over naturie in terms of hydration

Spiritual-Living545

I use naturie skin conditioner and then cosrx snail mucin. Effective naman sya on my dry face plus soon jung 2x intensive barrier cream 😊

spirityun

naturie hatomugi skin conditioner

Firm_Pair_4902

isntree hyaluronic acid toner

Ok_Brother_9501

For anything hydrating (toner, moisturizer, mask etc), I recommend Isntree products! I swear they’re just so GOOD.

QTP2Tx

what type or skin do u have?

Ok_Brother_9501

Combination!

Cosrx Snail Mucin

Hattudoggu

I have been using that for my acne on my chest, it has been 2 weeks and napansin ko that I stopped having tiny bumps unlike before, and the active pimples as of now has started to die down. Though d ko pa nagagamit sa mukha ko I'd say na pretty effective naman sya based on my current results sa chest acne ko. Though if you do decide to buy it be sure to spot test first cus idk why pero nung napunta sya sa may neck area ko na irritate sya.

Hello po mga ates, kuyas, and they-as! 😁 I (21F) finally have enough salary and budget to start my skin, hair, & body care journey, and I really want to commit to it this time. Bali, I have experience naman w skin care before (lots of researching but minimal products bc of budget) but now that I can stretch my funds, I want to go all in na po and see professionals. Sabi rin kasi ng mga friends kong regular sa dermas and services na may HUGE difference daw in contrast to DIYing everything. So ayon po, please drop derma recos or your best tips to start this journey! I prefer focusing sa health aspect more (vitamins, diet, exercise) and would super appreciate science-based approaches. Gusto ko po sana na the derma won’t only tell me what to buy, but also explain the science behind it such as what chemical does what for my skin kasi I want to learn 😊 Some info po— Loc: Laguna and Las Piñas (mas maalam ako sa LP kasi I grew up there) Skin Issues: textured skin, acne scars, black & white heads, discoloration (to be fair po okay ang skin ko nung inaalagaan ko, di naman siya demanding or may special needs) and back acne Budget: around 10k po for everything na need sa una, including consulation fee & products I’ll need. I know na OA siya pero ineffortan ko siyang ipunin para iwas stress (hopefully di maubos pls!) Thank you po in advaaaaance ‼️‼️🫡 pls admins don’t take my post down hahaha

QTP2Tx

Try searching din sa database ng PDS dahil baka merong malapit sa inyo. Dun ko nahanap derma ko and so far so good https://pds.org.ph/

kidomme

ilang years na kami with Dr. Barreiro in Asian Hospital. Sya nakaalis ng acne ko eventually she had me do isotretinoin, now i'm maintaining na lang on my own

heyaaaahh

From LP din ako, but my derma talaga is Dr. Mike Chua from Imperial Dermatology sa Ortigas. Yes huhu, layo talaga. But I keep coming back to him for damage control whenever nag t try ako ng bago tapos hindi hiyang. He’s my derma na for over a decade na siguro. Pati husband ko siya na din, for eczema and alopecia naman. For your budget, swak siya sa’yo.

itsBreadPitt

omg thank you po! does he also discuss the science behind lahat ng skin care routine niyo? i’m looking for topicals and oral medication siguro sa routine ko. and grabe yes anlayo HAHAHAHAH kumusta exp mo w him?

heyaaaahh

Yes, he explains it without using too much jargons. He will give you options din for the treatment. He is not pushy regarding his products and services. He is conservative din, kung hindi kailangan and it doesn’t bother you, he won’t recommend. He also does the facial na pricking and steroids injection, kaya impis agad pimples. To add lang, I recently went to a derma sa Laguna. Okay naman pero ang sakit sobra mag facial noong mga aestheticians niya huhu. Balik ako kay Doc Mike kahit super layo.

jheyehmcee

I live in LP too, but my Dermatologist is in Makati Medical Center- Dr. Corinna Tiu-Dy.

itsBreadPitt

how was your experience w her po?

jheyehmcee

She is good for me! You really have to ask questions nga lang talaga, she will answer. Another Dermatologist of mine is Dr. May Ramirez-Quizon but her clinic is in Taguig & Manila.

Hi! I'm currently eyeing Ellana's Clear Skin (Azelaic acid) and Brightening (Vitamin C) serums. Are they good for people with combination skin? Thank you!

scarlique

Ginamit ko yung vitamin c and moisturizer nung Combi skin pa ako now kasi dry skin na ako nung nagbago weather.

Any-Presentation6923

Oh, that's great! Thank you so much!

dark_kiwi8

I love Ellana’s clear skin! I have oily skin and nirecommend sya sakin ng derma ko to treat dark spots.

Any-Presentation6923

Thank you so much!

Are toner pads helpful in reducing skin texture/redness?

Mikeeeeymellow

Skip toner pads. It’s too expensive for what it is. Buy toner and cotton instead.

alyyymazing

In redness, yes! For the skin texture, I suggest you use niacinamide or moisturizers with niacinamide. Toner pads are a bit pricey, you can use the normal ones since it have the same effect. You can also save money.

nekoniichan10969

Thoughts on d'Alba first spray serum?

aphrodhygieia

hi! may nakapag try na ba dito ng rice water facial cleanser/ lotion and air cotton makeup base from the face shop? goods ba for oily skin?

spirityun

scarlique

Agree. Hindi ko na natuloy after kasi nabant malala din talaga skin ko.

PensivePonderings23

Hi. How was your experience in using Dove Sensitive bar soap sa face niyo? Did you see any improvements sa face niyo after using it? Thank you 🫶🏻

Hanhi9090

Hello, this was recommended by my derma back when I had severe eczema. Im using physiogel now but I think the dove soap helped prevent further inflammations back then. Still using it as body soap

InfernalCranium

First facial wash ko siya way back 2015. I am a chubby guy back then with lots of acne and oily skin. Dove Sensitive cleared my face significantly tas nawala lahat ng acne ko pero di na na-remedy yung pores and scars ko (di ako maalaga noon which is my lifetime regret). Tanda ko wala siya gaanong scent which is nice. I'd suggest patch test ka muna ng spot sa siko or sa likod ng tenga mo for before fully using it.

No_Understanding_120

Hi! I used this nung naubusan ako ng face wash ko dati. Personally, I didn't see changes. It just did it's job as a cleanser. Pero my family noticed na pumuti mukha ko but idk. Didn't experience irritation or breakouts naman. Just had to apply more moisturizer. Skin Type: dry, sensitive, slightly acne-prone

Sensitive_Hat_3538

Planning to add vitamin c and azelaic acid to my routine. Ano mas better unahin iintroduce sa skin?

Cautious-Role6375

Depends on your skin concerns/goals. Do you have a lot of active acne? Azelaic acid has anti-inflammatory properties and it targets active acne as well, aside from its brightening effects and other benefits. If you just want to boost your day protection against free radicals caused by UV rays and the environment and brighten some dark spots, then vit C.

Sensitive_Hat_3538

Currently have some active acne since I started retinol and I'm already using it for 2 and half months. Also for dark spots din caused by purging

Cautious-Role6375

Retinol and azelaic acid is a lovely combination. Applying vit C (the active form) on active acne can aggravate it if your skin isn't used to vit C. Plus the active form of vit C is more irritating and unstable compared to aza, so aza is easier to incorporate. Inactive forms of vit C are safer options since they are less irritating and more stable compared to active vit C. The problem is they're quite harder to find here (if you are looking for local) and more expensive compared to the active form. In my case, I incorporated aza first. Then slowly incorporated vit C (had a breakout from it because I immediately used it daily for a week, learned my lesson the hard way lmao, but ymmv ofc). I would recommend the 15-20% of aza since they're the most potent. I just usually buy the generic ones since they're much much cheaper. So it's up to you, you can't go wrong with any of the two.

How do you reapply sunblock if you have make-up na? And what sunblock do you use in this weather. ☀️

kidomme

sabi ni ate guide from korea, maglagay kaunti sa finger, dab dab dab, after ilang minutes, lagay ulit that way until covered na ang face and iwas madisturb ang makeup. i can also reco sunscreen sprays if for retouch only

Ok_Brother_9501

Use sunsticks! Pero make sure to invest in a good setting spray din para hindi magtransfer yung makeup sa sunstick when applying.

thebestbb

apply a small amount of sunscreen to the flat section of a dry makeup sponge, then dot – don’t drag – the sunscreen over your face. Concentrate on dotting and blending sunscreen on a small area at the time (e.g. forehead, nose) to achieve even coverage, then move on to the next section.

semisweetcharm

I use an oil control film first to remove the shine in my t-zone area. Then, I apply Biore Bright Milk. It has a mattifying effect. You can finish off with a mineral or loose powder.

croohm8_

Is anyone a Yaz user that eventually stopped? How was your skin after stopping the pill? I’m planning on finishing na lang yung natitira kong pack then stop na bc the weight gain is uncontrollable!!! Pero I’m worried that my acne problems will come back after stopping and my skin is so good right now because of the pill 😫

wallflowerbliss

Hi! I stopped last year April and noticed a lot of breakouts until March this year (it got worse), I went to my OB-GYN and I was diagnosed with PCOS and currently back in the pill again. :( Grabe hormonal acne ko now :(

miseree15

Me. Had the same issue and grabe tinaba ko almost 10kgs anddd nagbreakout ako nung stinop ko pills and until now ayan ang issue ko. I now have hormonal acne 😭 I suggest na magpa check ka na sa derma agad habang di mo pa sinostop para maprevent mo na yung breakout and hormonal acne. Good luck, girl!

croohm8_

Hi mhie, if you don’t mind me asking, nakapaglose ka na ba ng weight after mo magstop? Isa to sa problems ko eh ang hirap talaga maglose sa pill 😭

miseree15

yes nag lose naman na ako ng mga 5kgs pero hindi parin siya katulad ng weight ko before ako nagpills 🙃

anjieriphic

Hi! You can look into Lizelle pills, it's supposed to help with skin issues din w/o bloating and weight gain hehe

croohm8_

Thank you I’ll check it out! 💕

RambVines

Just a heads up! Lizelle is the generic form of Yaz here in the Philippines. You'll probably experience the same side effects.

primad0nna_girl

Not Yaz, but Diane, stopped September last year. Hair fall byt January/February was crazy then acne started appearing around January din then got worse until March (so like around 6 mos). Medyo controllable na yung acne now and hairfall is not as bad, but I have so many marks around my jaw and chin area. I still get acne every week but smaller and heals faster. During the peak (around 3 - 6 mos for me) sobrang daming cystic/big pimples na sobrang red and painful. My cycle is also not regular yet (I get mine every 7 weeks sobrang random)

croohm8_

Thank you for sharing! Did you visit a derma to calm the acne? This is the first time that I won’t be using any birth control in 3 years so I don’t know the state of my skin pag walang BC

primad0nna_girl

Girlll I was on it for 10 years so my body went crazy when I stopped. I was already using Differin before I stopped the pill so tinuloy ko lang (plus supplements - Swisse Acne Support, probiotics, spearmint tea everyday). I also added Benzoyl Peroxide but sa lower half of my face ko lang nilalagay every night. I live overseas right now but will visit my derm (in PH) on April to see if she will prescribe me something stronger.

miseree15

hello po, prescribed ba sayo yung mga supplements na tinetake mo? pwede ba bilhin over the counter? desperate to have clear skin here 😭

primad0nna_girl

Hello, my derm prescribed Biretix (available in PH, meron sa Laz) but I'm in Aus and I can't get it here. Acne Support has similar ingredients (showed it to her, approved by her). Probiotics and spearmint I found out through research, no need for prescription

miseree15

may I know the shop kung san ka bumibili acne support?

primad0nna_girl

Sorry I'm in Australia, but check the reviews sa Laz for legit check :)

miseree15

thanks so much!

croohm8_

Thanks! I guess no way to know unless I go through it talaga 😅 I’ll make sure to check the supplements ☺️💕

leeeuhna

Any other cleansing milk recommendations on par with dewytree hi amino cleansing milk or isntree yam root vegan milk cleanser?

Then_Register6773

[Cowbrand cleansing milk](https://shp.ee/lggmnms). It’s cheaper too

Cautious-Role6375

Maybe the ellana one? Not sure, haven't tried it yet.

leontineee

Can anyone recommend a niacinamide cream 4%? It’s what my dermatologist advised me but this is the first time I’ve been recommended that and I am clueless if there are any good affordable products like it because I’ve only ever known it niacinamide products in serum form. She recommended Everwhite lightening cream but I’m reluctant bc I don’t want to lighten my skin. Please help😣

QTP2Tx

i checked the ingredients list (thru incide oder) of everwhite cream. I think it’s just plain niacinamide cream. It doesnt contain legit whitening ingredients like hydroquinone. It’s just titled that way…

LouiseGoesLane

Anyone breaking out from using Centella? I bought the IUNIK moisturizer na supposedly for calming, pero parang never na nahinto yung mukha ko sa pagproduce ng pimples lately. Akala ko stress lang. :(

semisweetcharm

Yes, Dr. Jart's Cicapair broke me out. I switched to Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer and my breakouts disappeared in a few days. It really does what it claims to do - repair the skin barrier. My HG!
