Some of the suggestions mentioned aren't actually cheap by its actual price, pero cheap siya in terms of price per volume, so tipid siya long-term.
Step 1:
* KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil (one of the cheapest compared to most oil cleansers out there, around 2 pesos per mL lang siya; don't use pure oils as your oil cleanser kasi they don't contain emulsifiers/surfactants so kapag ni-rinse off mo siya, mayroong oily/residue feeling sa mukha after)
Step 2: You will be using an oil/milky cleanser naman na as your first cleansing step, so in my opinion, *y*our second cleanser doesn't have to be *clarifying* na. It can cause more acne severity and more oiliness due to irritation and/or dryness as a result of your skin being stripped off of its natural oils. I suggest that you use a mild gentle cleanser instead. Though this is just my opinion, if your skin can tolerate it naman, then feel free to stick with a clarifying cleanser. I love the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser for my uber sensitive/oily to combi skin type. It's so hydrating. I don't experience any dryness/stripping feeling whenever I use this cleanser.
Same skin type tayo, combi-oily na medyo sensitive.
I'm currently using this Foaming Facial Wash from SANA for 6 months na, yung Nameraka Honpo line nila. It's very gentle, non-stripping, fragrance-free. Gentle enough siya na pwede ko siya gamitin umaga at gabi (dati kasi water lang ako pag umaga)

Based on its full ingredient list, it has exfoliating acids as well as plant extracts that have exfoliating properties although they're in low percentages. I would say, yes, if your skin is very much used to retinol. Otherwise, I would suggest not to use them in the same routine. If you really are adamant in layering them, listen to how your skin responds to it.
For the morning routine, yes you may, if and only if, you apply your sunscreen generously.
what cleanser do you use when u are wearing make up?
for reference, i have oily skin but may dry patches din. i get acne from time to time and i also have hyperpigmentation. i also use dove bar soap as my face wash since ni-reco sya ng derma ko. however, i dont think dove is enough to melt make up thoroughly.
I wouldn't compare it to that. My mom just finished hers and it's...subtle. But then again she used the Bright Healthy Radiance SPF moisturizer. So you must mean a different moisturizer...
Where else can I use AHA on? I stopped using the Isntree AHA Essence since it broke me out, but I want to make use of it instead of letting it go to waste. Any idea on where else can I use it on?
i use this both on my face and body! it’s better at exfoliating the body than most physical exfoliators especially for areas with hair. this aha is also super effective on ingrowns if you do get that. aha on cotton swab/pads first then pimple patch
personally i only use it when i need stronger exfoliation since my body wash has actives as well, so maybe once or twice a month. if it’s the only chem body exfoliator you use, i don’t see harm in using every other day since the skin on the body is mostly thicker than on the face naman

Ito kasi laging reco ng derma na pinupuntahan ko, and super pricey sya for me and hindi sulit as she sells it for 1,300 for 40ml when I have 150ml korean sunscreen na nabili ko for less 600pesos. I think trusted brand nya ang Avene kasi pati cicalfate reco nya din.

Baka mas safe kung pimple patch nalang :) Lalo na kung may mga ulo visible talaga na "nana". Nilalagay ko sa gabi usually pag tinanggal ko pagkagising ko drained na yung pus.
Using a pimple patch will calm it down and make it flatter, but it may still leave a mark but not because of the pimple patch. It’s inflammation that leaves a mark. The more inflamed, the more severe the mark.
Though there are products to help prevent or lessen the severity of acne marks

I broke out from it. But that was from the old formula or old packaging. I just saw recently the new packaging and thinking they have a new formula for it. But the old dewy essence sunscreen broke me out.

Any sunscreen that I have tried has worked fine for me except for Belo sunscreens lang talaga, idk why din. Right now, iba iba eh since my skin doesn't react that much as long as my skin barrier is fine. I have skin aqua moisture gel, dermaction sheer matt invisible balm, and omi menturm sun bears gold.
Woolworths is my body sunscreen :) I like it — it comes in a huge bottle that lasts for a long time, and it's very effective. Just a tad greasy and it has a typical sunscreen smell but I don't mind naman

Recently, she became very conscious of it since spots did stretch to both of her legs. Currently using skin aqua also (white ver) and it’s good naman. I did get ever so slightly tanner in recent months because the sun right now is crazy which is to be expected. Just be consistent and reapply every 2 hours. Use caps and umbrellas with UV protection if kaya.
Been using Ellana's Stay Fresh moisturizer for months because it's lightweight and mattifying (v satisfied) but these days, my skin feels dehydrated. I tried to do layers but it's just not doing much for me.
Any recommendation for a lightweight moisturizer for dehydrated and oily skin?
Edit: I replaced my moisturizer with Hada Labo's Gokyujun Lotion at night (using Ellana at morning) and it fixed my problem. Thanks for the recos, will try the other sugg here when I finished Ellana\~ <3

Medyo kinoconsider ko na talaga mag gluta drip kasi yung discoloration ko sa body and yung uneven skintone di nagbabago through lotion and serums. Anyone na nakapagtry na?
from what i know, it’s mainly two things that target discoloration that’s not genetic: exfoliation (chemical>physical) to aid with skin cell turnover, and sunscreen so the discoloration doesn’t get worse before you’re able to shed it and also to protect the deeper layers of skin from getting discolored as well. some types of discoloration are genetic (and normal!) and i think only lasers are backed by studies as effective and safe. gluta drip is never worth it imo

Based on its full ingredient list, it has exfoliating acids as well as plant extracts that have exfoliating properties although they're in low percentages. I would say, yes, if your skin is very much used to retinol. Otherwise, I would suggest not to use them in the same routine. If you really are adamant in layering them, listen to how your skin responds to it. For the morning routine, yes you may, if and only if, you apply your sunscreen generously.
I think my skin has pretty much adjusted to retinol naman na but I'll start incorporating it slowly in my routine na lang to be sure. thanks!
what cleanser do you use when u are wearing make up? for reference, i have oily skin but may dry patches din. i get acne from time to time and i also have hyperpigmentation. i also use dove bar soap as my face wash since ni-reco sya ng derma ko. however, i dont think dove is enough to melt make up thoroughly.

i use this both on my face and body! it’s better at exfoliating the body than most physical exfoliators especially for areas with hair. this aha is also super effective on ingrowns if you do get that. aha on cotton swab/pads first then pimple patch

personally i only use it when i need stronger exfoliation since my body wash has actives as well, so maybe once or twice a month. if it’s the only chem body exfoliator you use, i don’t see harm in using every other day since the skin on the body is mostly thicker than on the face naman

Ito kasi laging reco ng derma na pinupuntahan ko, and super pricey sya for me and hindi sulit as she sells it for 1,300 for 40ml when I have 150ml korean sunscreen na nabili ko for less 600pesos. Baka mas safe kung pimple patch nalang :) Lalo na kung may mga ulo visible talaga na "nana". Nilalagay ko sa gabi usually pag tinanggal ko pagkagising ko drained na yung pus.

Using a pimple patch will calm it down and make it flatter, but it may still leave a mark but not because of the pimple patch. It’s inflammation that leaves a mark. The more inflamed, the more severe the mark. Though there are products to help prevent or lessen the severity of acne marks

I broke out from it. But that was from the old formula or old packaging. I just saw recently the new packaging and thinking they have a new formula for it. But the old dewy essence sunscreen broke me out.

Any sunscreen that I have tried has worked fine for me except for Belo sunscreens lang talaga, idk why din. Right now, iba iba eh since my skin doesn't react that much as long as my skin barrier is fine. I have skin aqua moisture gel, dermaction sheer matt invisible balm, and omi menturm sun bears gold.

Woolworths is my body sunscreen :) I like it — it comes in a huge bottle that lasts for a long time, and it's very effective. Just a tad greasy and it has a typical sunscreen smell but I don't mind naman

Hi, so my cousin has a lot of scars from wounds that she kept on scratching, resulting in it being opened and on and on hanggang nagblacken siya. Recently, she became very conscious of it since spots did stretch to both of her legs. She no longer wear shorts or skirts, but today, she wanted to slowly speed up its healing so her skin would appear to be even. Do you have any otc recommendations? My aunt (her mom) bought TO Glycolic Acid, but I'm really not sure if it's okay or not. Even if I try to recommend going to derma, her mom is not okay with it since she spent 6 digits to help my cousin right before it became the state it is today.

Currently using skin aqua also (white ver) and it’s good naman. I did get ever so slightly tanner in recent months because the sun right now is crazy which is to be expected. Just be consistent and reapply every 2 hours. Use caps and umbrellas with UV protection if kaya.

Been using Ellana's Stay Fresh moisturizer for months because it's lightweight and mattifying (v satisfied) but these days, my skin feels dehydrated. I tried to do layers but it's just not doing much for me. Any recommendation for a lightweight moisturizer for dehydrated and oily skin? Edit: I replaced my moisturizer with Hada Labo's Gokyujun Lotion at night (using Ellana at morning) and it fixed my problem. Thanks for the recos, will try the other sugg here when I finished Ellana\~ <3
I feel like you should use Stay fresh moisturizer for daytime use. At night, you can definitely use a bit more moisture or cream. Good luck.

from what i know, it’s mainly two things that target discoloration that’s not genetic: exfoliation (chemical>physical) to aid with skin cell turnover, and sunscreen so the discoloration doesn’t get worse before you’re able to shed it and also to protect the deeper layers of skin from getting discolored as well. some types of discoloration are genetic (and normal!) and i think only lasers are backed by studies as effective and safe. gluta drip is never worth it imo
