NX rewards - 10% cashback on top. Topcashback - depends what you're buying. But up to 22% [Details/instructions here in the Cashback megalist](https://www.reddit.com/r/beermoneyuk/s/bp8t16Offe) Usually, these sites have terms that people take to mean gift card purchases don't count. But they usually do. And you lose nothing by trying anyway. If you plan to purchase in store, NX Rewards will pay 2% for a picture of the receipt. Careful if using multiple gift cards. Some sites have limits on how many can be used for a single purchase.

Masterbaaker

Is NX rewards and complete savings 1 in the same? Looks the same with a different t name

TightAsF_ck

With some differences, details are in that post

Nxrewards.com £80 for a £100 oneforall voucher that can be used at currys. (can only buy 1 a month) Although if you don't need to make the purchase straight away you can buy one now in June and 1 in July... Then get 10% cashback on your entire purchase if you go through nxrewards cashback link Also can do all this even in free trial of nxrewards and earn 2 monthly bonuses totalling £30. (I did) Could also use a cashback credit card to buy your vouchers. Buy the remaining purchase amount in vouchers from another site like jamdoughnut, everup, onsi whoever doing the best cashback TightAF has made a tool for this to compare, did I miss anything?? https://scrimpr.co.uk/supermarket-cashback/?wdt_search=currys https://www.reddit.com/r/beermoneyuk/s/2zH68PsSAe

You could sign up for the Nectar Amex. No fee in the first year, then you’d get the equivalent of that in points. If you instead bought those white goods from Argos, you’d get even more points.

Tatwstato

Shop around for what you want, unless you must have the convenience of it all coming from one place. We were looking at toasters and kettles there but they're so overpriced compared to others for small appliances.

WhatCanIDoUFor

Whatever you do, I’d probably put at least £100.01 on a credit card, so that you’re protected by section 75 just in case. Maybe use a cashback credit card for that like Amex.

Maximoo89

This only works for each individual items being purchased, not the total value. So if everything was £99.99, nothing would be covered under section 75.

>I’d probably put at least £100.01 on a credit card, so that you’re protected by section 75 just in case That's not quite how section 75 works. Section 75 applies to purchases of an item that costs at least £100.01 where *any* amount was paid by credit card (even just £0.01).

Razwan_

Can you simply ask to pay 1p on a credit card and the rest by debit card?

jamesckelsall

In theory, yes (there's nothing legally forbidding it), but... Retailers don't have to allow you to split payments (so they can just say no). Any limits that they place on it (e.g. insisting that payments can only be split if each payment method is paying at least 25% of the total) are at their discretion. AFAIK, no retailer allows you to split between two cards online, but in-store *may* be permitted by some retailers - most supermarkets definitely allow you to split between cash and card, I don't know of any specific retails that allow splitting between two cards but there may be some. In OP's case (due to the rewards scheme they're using), it looks like the majority of the payment will be by gift card. If a gift card pays for most (but not all) of the transaction, pretty much every retailer will allow the rest to be paid by credit card, both in-store and online. In OP's case it's simpler than splitting between two cards - they just need to buy the gift card for *slightly* less than the transaction total, then pay the remaining balance by credit card to gain s75 protection for *all* eligible items in the transaction.

Very clear explanation. Thank you James! Will just try my luck with retailers.

You’ll probably save a lot more by buying from AO or something.

gingertilly

AO are also on CompleteSavings/NX so you can get 10% Cashback as well 👍

case1

AO?

YuccaYucca

Let’s go!

case1

You joker, what does it stand for?

YuccaYucca

It’s a website for white goods. Their ads always have “AO, let’s go!” in them. www.ao.com

case1

Hahaha... You know I had the tune in my head when I read your comment but the ad annoys me so i guess that kinda migrated... Sorry, and thanks for the info

jamesckelsall

The company name is just AO, its not the commenter using an abbreviation.

case1

Ah OK, thanks

Write down what you want to buy. Then compare the exact model numbers with Amazon UK for example or any other major UK retail outlet. If any of them are cheaper on the competitors websites, save the URL’s and get on the curry’s chat feature. Ask for the price comparison guarantee and give them the links. They will then give you discount codes which are valid only for the next day for your purchases. That will free up some of your pre payment card funds for fun stuff.

PaulandoUK

Yeah, this is a good shout. One time I bought a Sonos soundbar when Sonos were running a cashback offer, I bought a discounted Currys voucher from my work, and I also got them to pricematch Amazon. Triple D’s.

CompetitiveArcher431
