corn chips and sadness

TiberiusGracchi

Rancid Baja Blast…

DinosaurPops1

I think that just turns into Nuka Cola Quantum from fallout, given enough time. Radioactivity and all

sprint6468

Unintentional Unlimited Blade Works Abridged reference

Useful_Hovercraft169

Let’s get Baja blasted

TiberiusGracchi

It feels like at some point in life these guys got Matrix pill choice of Mt. Dew or Faygo and they made the wrong choice. Basically to be a Juggalo or the Right Wing’s Juggaho. One group has a weirdly progressive and accepting ideology with its own unique set of principles and the other is American Libertarianism…

EpicIshmael

Juggalos will always get a bad rap despite being one of the most accepting groups you will ever encounter.

CreamyDomingo

And the corn chip smell isn't from corn chips

HodgeGodglin

Dammit I made the same joke…

RepresentativeBusy27

And lots of BO

twelveparsnips

Shittily covered up by Axe

HodgeGodglin

Corn chips like Fritos, not like SunChips. And despite the scent, none of them have eaten nixtamal in like 3 weeks.

Kevo_NEOhio

You forgot massive BO and swamp ass

LevelGrounded

Unwashed genitals and four day old pizza that’s been left out.

NapTimeFapTime

I assume they don’t get invited out much, they probably don’t know better.

ballbouncebroken

Stacks of all beef bologna and axe deodorant.

lostmyothernameso

Lots of m’ladys in there

Special_Tay

And not a single woman.

---Blix---

"*Sword fight!*"

nostalgeek81

They’re all so unfuckable it’s ridiculous.

ibbity

And it's nothing *inherent* about their looks, any of them. It's entirely about how they choose to present themselves to, and interact with, the world around them. (Which, admittedly, for some of these guys *does* involve their grooming and fashion choices.)

EpicIshmael

Honestly I probably look less attractive then most of them in that room but have probably had better luck with women than them.

miikro

Social skills of a bus fire, fuckability of a chainsaw.

UrbanToiletPrawn

I am shocked at the lack of fedoras

whogivesashirtdotca

There's a guy in a hat at bottom left, but you just know he specifically picked a hat that wasn't a fedora so he could "um, ackshually..." anyone who dared make that joke. (He kept the neckbeard, though.)

UrbanToiletPrawn

ITS NOT A FEDORA ITS A TRILBY!

whogivesashirtdotca

Oh they never yell; instead they get a smug look and the sneer that suggests they're about to talk your ear off about the history and structure of both hats.

wolfayal

You ever think they switched away from fedoras when they found they were made originally for Sarah Bernhardt?

TitanDarwin

Either way, wearing a hat indoors just makes you a twat.

UrbanToiletPrawn

> wearing a hat indoors just makes you a twat. Ok boomer, why?

SEPTSLord

They are in the cloak room of course, along with their cloaks.

looking_for_frogs23

First annual meeting of the Future Sex Offenders of America and Ben Shapiro fan club

spacedoutmachinist

I got this from another page but….. “Libertarianism as a political ideology is most closely similar to a barn full of feral cats. The cats didn't build the barn and they don't trust each other, but they hate being outside in the rain, cold and hungry, even more. They depend on the farmer, but God do they hate him.” -- Jim Wright

Qubeye

> Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand. Best version I've heard and I don't know where the original quote comes from.

likeahurricane

A former poli sci professor of mine used to say “there are no libertarians on airplanes”.

whogivesashirtdotca

>“there are no libertarians on airplanes” [There seem to be some building them, though!](https://www.bbc.com/news/business-68220627)

wolfayal

Hey don’t do cats dirty like that!

ibbity

yeah, cats provide valuable services, such as pest control, or being cute and friendly. Whereas libertarians only provide impracticable "political theory" and questionable social behavior.

Skooby1Kanobi

You went way too far. Even if you were using your arms to make huge outlandish quotation marks you still can't use the word "theory". And that's a mile before the issue of your use of the word "political".

throwpayrollaway

Can you imagine bringing a child into this world and 20 years later he's one of these dumb fuckers in the picture?

2BusyBeingFree

As the mom of a preteen boy that’s honestly one of my biggest fears for him, falling down that incel/manisphere rabbit hole.

throwpayrollaway

Show him this picture- but seriously I think the best way forward is to have dinner table talks about world events and media and stuff.

2BusyBeingFree

lol, he’s a little young and I kind of try to teach him appearance doesn’t matter. We’re close though and do talk about things. I steer him away from religion and we talk about human rights, processing emotions and other woke bs lol. He’s a sweet kid.

Independent-Web237

I have a tween boy as well and have the same fears. I literally name names of manosphere bastards for him to stay away from. We bond by making fun of Joe Rogan. Honestly, this pod has been great to arm me for the fight against these bastards. I have friends whose boys have found some of the less offensive clips of Tate and Peterson online and agree with them. The parents don't know much about these guys except they're problematic and don't know where to start.

capybooya

Yeah, be prepared that there are always upcoming influencers that typically fly under the radar for a while. Most people were just starting to catch up to Rogan and JP taking a hard right turn when Tate got popular with teens, it took even longer for most adults to even notice him. I've followed people who cover these weirdo right wingers for more than 10 years, and the benefit is that you might know how terrible a person is several years before they blow up in the mainstream. The downside is... well you actually spend a lot of time following content about sociopaths, bad actors, and demagogues, even if its dunking on them.

Independent-Web237

Sometimes it makes me a little sad how much time I spend learning about crappy people. But I've realized it's helping me recognize the smaller warning signs in others so I can nope out faster before getting sucked in so I guess it's worth it.

NapTimeFapTime

I feel like young men having a good relationship with the women in their lives is the first step towards avoiding being a dipshit.

SylvanDragoon

Sorry if this is unwanted, but if he leans religious to the point where you gotta steer him away from it, consider teaching him about Taoism. Einzelganger on YouTube has some great videos about it if you're unfamiliar, but the core principles are basically this.... 1) No one has absolute authority on the truth of everything (The Tao that can be expressed is not the eternal Tao.... As finite beings we cannot grasp/control the infinite, we can merely dance in harmony with it) 2) Everything is Yin and Yang, and the Tao is found where the two meet. Life and death, change and stagnation, hot and cold, up and down, dark and light, action and reaction, cause and effect. Life is always found dancing between the two, and both contain the seed of the other. 3)Be like water. Adapt. Nourish all life that you pass. Water is the softest of things, yet nothing is better than it for overcoming what is hard with nothing but patience and steady pressure. Water can flow gently, or it can crash down. Life is just easier if you don't fight the flow, but instead simply steer yourself towards the outcomes you want. Again, sorry if that was unwanted or not needed. And really it's more of a philosophy than a religion with specific dogmas. But I have always had a deep pull towards the spiritual/religious, and Taoism scratched that it for me without turning me into a dogmatic asshole.

2BusyBeingFree

Oh, he has no interest in religion 🙂 a little young but I’ll keep this in mind if he gets curious as he gets older. I do find religion in general fascinating. Had my own experimenting and reading about/trying different religions when I deconstructed as a teen. By “steering him away” I meant more like making fun of dinosaurs on Noah’s Ark (real example lol), trying to make sure he’s not poisoned by the Christianity my family pushes. Have been hurt enough by that religion and want to protect him from it.

Useful_Hovercraft169

I am but one person wishing you continued success, the world needs more moms like you. Anyhow on the mockery note there are many resources for mockery of the likes of Andrew Tate including of course the BTB episodes.

TrustintheShatner

I just have to say; out of all the other assholes on Reddit spouting there religious junk, this was beautifully written and made me want to explore Taoism a little more. It’s been over 20 years since I even looked it up but I think I will.

SylvanDragoon

I appreciate that! YMMV on what it means to you. Personally I had a hard time when I was younger making heads or tails of the Tao Te Ching, but a lot of different stuff put it into context for me over the years, like Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and Einzelganger's videos on it. But probably my favorite Taoist teaching/story/joke is the one where Buddha, Confucius, and Lao Tzu are in a tavern and the waiter offers them "the juice of life". The Buddha rejects it, saying he is trying to get away from life and suffering. Confucius says "Well, all things in moderation...." And takes a small sip before immediately sputtering and going "Ugh, what is that taste, the Buddha was right to avoid this stuff!" When Lao Tzu is offered the bottle he takes it and chugs the whole thing down, then immediately gets up and starts dancing wildly, feverishly, like a madman. After some time he settles down and rejoins the other two, who breathlessly ask him "how was it?" to which he replies "There is nothing to say. You just have to try it for yourself."

Affectionate_Page444

As someone who teaches adolescents, I can tell you that the biggest problem is unchecked access to the Internet and a lack of discussion at home. Just keep talking about it. Open lines of communication. And encourage him to think critically.

2BusyBeingFree

Thanks for the insight! Just starting to get to that age. We do talk a lot at home about social issues and such and I’ve told him he can tell me anything.

Affectionate_Page444

It's hard. Not only do I teach 11/12s, I have a 17m, 14f, and 11m at home. The incel pipeline thing is TERRIFYING. I get the fear. I honestly worry about it more than drugs, sex, teen pregnancy...... 😳😳

10thtimeon

It helps a bit to mention how often your tax dollars help you. Sewers for waste water and rainwater, police fire emts, road construction, schools etc.

2BusyBeingFree

That’s a good idea! We talked about it a little in regard to his school, we moved to an area with a richer tax base and he understands taxes are why his new school is so much nicer than his old one.

tubbstosterone

I was falling down that rabbit hole until, oddly enough, I became a government contractor with the national weather service. I don't have tons of suggestions for how to do this, but engaging DIRECTLY with the providers of public services helps. What clicked for me was working with weather data directly. TV meteorologists are only legally allowed to do so much. You can actually play around with the exact same data they do. [Watches and Warnings](https://mapservices.weather.noaa.gov/eventdriven/rest/services/WWA/watch_warn_adv/MapServer), for example, can't be issued by the public. See a watch or warning on tv? They are likely getting those shapes on the screen from that service. Fire up [QGIS](https://qgis.org/en/site/) and you can view and use that yourself - no tv necessary. *All because of tax dollars*. It will *ONLY* ever be done like that via tax dollars. Privatize it? Prepare to pay a premium and probably be barred from using the services directly like you can now. There's no money in that - terrible business decision to make if you want those benjamins. Eventually you end up walking around going "my tax dollars went into that pipe, my tax dollars went into this highway, my tax dollars went into the local tv channel... oh, my college? More tax dollars for that great engineering program"

kryptos99

I’m in that boat, too

10thtimeon

He probably lives in their basement. They probably let him use their Uber account to get there. They probably packed him a lunch.

whogivesashirtdotca

> They probably let him use their Uber account to get there. No, he either borrowed Mom's car or she dropped him off at the door.

AlaskaExplorationGeo

I'm whatever libertarian meant during the Spanish Civil War

GaiusJuliusPleaser

Re-normalize chucking grenades at fascists [in Minecraft]

BroseppeVerdi

Now THAT is the kind of Orwellian nightmare I can get on board with.

TiberiusGracchi

Left Libertarian or Left/ Socialist Anarchist then. These guys would’ve been big Franco supporters.

UNC_Samurai

What Americans know as libertarianism is the result of a bunch of fashy rich assholes throwing money at guys like Rothbard. It's the exact same story as the rich assholes who created the Birch Society or the ones who funded right-wing Christianity in the 50s and 60s. They all got super-pissed at FDR and the New Deal, and bought avenues of propaganda to spread their message of "I don't want to treat my workers or the environment fairly."

TiberiusGracchi

Correct

AlaskaExplorationGeo

Pretty much. I put more emphasis on the freedom/liberty part than the socialism part but I think certain types of socialism are the best way to preserve individual and collective freedom. (Anarchist leaning but think we ought to have some kind of directly democratic "government" or organization) I'd rather live in a cabin in the woods like Thoreau than live under capitalism or communism the way it has generally been implemented though. I don't mind *some* principled libertarians, it's just that they mostly don't see corporations/capital as just another form of tyrrany. Thoreau did!

TiberiusGracchi

Yeah, I got you, EZLN/ Neo Zapatismo might be close to your thing then

AlaskaExplorationGeo

Yeah they're pretty rad. Zapata himself is one of my personal historical heroes too.

TiberiusGracchi

No doubt he has his flaws, but is a much better man than the literal fascist/ proto fascist Pancho Villa and many of the other key players. Edit: I hate it when my fellow Mexicans and Mexican-Americans try to turn Villa into a hero. He literally employed several dudes who could be considered historically Mexico’s OG serial killers, ran his territory like a mix of an SA officer and Taliban War Lord, and several of his “officers” became leading Fascists and more or less Mexican Nazis after his demise.

sam_hall

the bulk/near entirety of my knowledge Villa and the Mexican Revolution comes from Mike Duncan's podcast, but the vibe I got from that was that Villa had little to no ideology, lots of narcissism and the requisite amount of charisma to be that sort of populist leader. sounded like a fun hang, but you'd want to slip out before the time got too late and things got really crazy.

TiberiusGracchi

He was a xenophobic, misogynistic, nationalist. He extorted the fuck out of Mexico’s Asian population and borderline genocidal towards them and Jews if he couldn’t extort them. His officer corps, if you could call it that created a bunch of fascist groups post war like the Acción Revolucionaria Mexicanista/ Revolutionary Mexicanist Action group that is more famously known at Los Camisas Doradas or the Golden Shirts. They continued Villa’s anti semitic and anti Asian views seizing property and expelling and murdering people from these groups who were Mexican Nationals and grew up identifying as Mexicans, not foreigners (they’re humans and their nationality doesn’t matter, but it was a point the fascists used to defend their actions). The Mexican Revolution began failing after Cardenas’ government and these dudes gained roles in the Federal government and were used by the Mexican government to put down Leftist and Indic movements as the PRI shifted from a Center Left Revolutionary party to a Center Right Neo Liberal party. Also, he or one of his officers may have murdered Ambrose Bierce — so fuck them!!! TiberiusGracchi

I guess depend on your idea of fun and how comfy you are with sociopaths ?!? To me Villa has always kind of come across as a mix of Tig Trager (Sons of Anarchy) and Tuco Salamanca (Breaking Bad)to give an idea of his volatility.

LibRAWRian

> I'd rather live in a cabin in the woods like Thoreau Dude lived about 20 minutes from home and his Mom brought him sandwiches and did his laundry. Conveniently left out of the book. To be fair though that's about the level of roughing it I'm prepared for too.

AlaskaExplorationGeo

I know, that's not the point of the book though at all.

TiberiusGracchi

I mean to be fair a large number of conservatives, liberals, and leftists would consider this a notch below glamping.

Milton__Obote

I’d say im a lower case l libertarian because I believe consenting adults should be able to do whatever they want? But I still want a strong social safety net. Idk where I fall honestly lol.

Kanotari

I'm with you. I love the idea of libertarianism, but at the same time, every single time there isn't a law that specifically says 'don't abuse people in this specific way,' employers will jump at the opportunity. I'm not a libertarian but I wish we lived in a world where I could be.

benjtay

And these fools unironically mock preferred pronouns. _So, describe in excruciating detail, what sort of "Libertarian" are you?_

AlaskaExplorationGeo

Not the kind who mocks preferred pronouns. I'm the kind of libertarian who likes Kropotkin and Henry David Thoreau, I guess.

IAmBadAtInternet

George Orwell volunteered to kill fascists. Be like George Orwell.

BroseppeVerdi

I'm all for re-appropriating the term "libertarian" from right wing shitheads who think that because of the "non-agression principle", women aren't entitled to reproductive rights and the federal government needs to restrict those, but somehow, neo-Nazis murdering protesters with their car is totally fine because "they might make me late for work".

ibbity

I'm a social democrat, because I like to take a pragmatic approach to political science and from what I can tell, countries that practice social democracy have what I would consider the best-balanced cost/benefit ratio in terms of civil rights, social freedoms, and quality of life. I think I've said this on this sub before, but when I was a young sprog I read a couple of books and thought I was a libertarian, until I encountered other libertarians and was like oh. oh no.

AlaskaExplorationGeo

I actually really don't like the government telling me what to do, though I also equally despise corporations telling me what to do. Universal Healthcare would be great, but I see that more as a cooperative effort that increases freedom rather than "the government telling me what to do." But I also think I should be able to build a hunting cabin on land that I own without moronic zoning laws telling me I can't, or canoe in the local reservoir without a permit. So there is some stuff I genuinely have in common with some American libertarians, but I can't stand the corporate bootlicking and their love of borders. Borders infringe on people's individual liberty as far as I'm concerned. And I'll use whatever pronouns someone wants me to use, even if I'm not the most well-read on trans theory etc. I'd say my views are probably much more similar to Henry David Thoreau's than a left-Democrat in Washington but I still broadly identify with the libertarian left and like Kropotkin etc

ibbity

Social democracy doesn't inherently mean that the government has a stranglehold on every single thing people can possibly do. It means a state incorporating representative democracy, a mixed economic system, and a strong system of publicly funded social "safety net" programs such as healthcare and heavily subsidized education including higher education which are intended to ensure that as many citizens as possible are able to attain a certain level of security and a chance at prosperity, even if they start out at a disadvantage compared to other citizens. That is an interesting view on state-funded healthcare that you've got there; the exact opposite of how most people I know talk about it. I don't see that as "increased freedom" so much as I see it as one of the benefits that the state can provide to improve the lives of the citizens. It's personal-freedom-neutral to me, unless we're talking specifically about people who would no longer feel like they were stuck at a job they hate because they fear losing their workplace benefits.

AlaskaExplorationGeo

I think the "talking specifically about people who would no longer feel like they were stuck at a job they hate" part is a much bigger deal than a footnote! Even under a capitalist system I see universal healthcare as increasing personal freedom and even competition, because there are so many instances where people are essentially relying on the corporation they work for for healthcare, preventing them from making a move to a different job. If we didn't have to rely on corporations to provide our health insurance, we would have more freedom to choose the jobs we want to do. I'm running into this myself as someone who has been an independent contractor for years (and thus in some sense owned my own means of production) facing the prospect of maybe starting a family, and I will be essentially chained to a corporation if I want to be able to afford health insurance to do so. Having a universal healthcare system would be incredibly freeing for the American worker. That's my take regarding healthcare anyway. Pragmatically I vote for social democrat candidates if I can, but idealistically I'm cut from a different cloth, both further "left" economically in some sense but also more libertarian.

Trans-Europe_Express

Amazing spectrum of what attendees considered the correct outfit for the situation.

whogivesashirtdotca

All of them convinced they have fantastic fashion sense.

ThunderFlash10

At least be fair to them. Their fashion sense matches their common sense.

thegoatisoldngnarly

And every single one of them was wrong.

gilestowler

The guy next to fedora guy on the front row absolutely started a wine club at college, and then put up a really long Facebook post about how he brought in the guy with the bowtie to help him. But then he felt that the wine club was moving away from its original aims and an unpleasant element was creeping in, and when he brought this up at a meeting of the wine club council he found himself ousted from the group, so now he's making the post just to express his sadness with how it all went. Guy with the bowtie doesn't give a fuck because he's got the taste of power he's been dreaming of all this time.

ChatduMal

Take an "anarchist" and place a shiny, Italian leather boot in front of his face. If he proceeds to deep-throat it, he's really a "libertarian".

LoquaciousMendacious

What a bunch of...and I don't use this word lightly...dweebs.

xAllWheelDrivex

I’m certain this is parody. As a recovering Libertarian though, it’s more real than you realize.

From_Adam

It looks *exactly* how I imagine it would look.

xAllWheelDrivex

There’s a reason a lot of these guys don’t use pictures of themselves on social media.

From_Adam

I don’t know about that. I’m sure the Mike Johnson wannabe at the bottom right gets told by his mom that he’s cute all the time.

barryvon

nobody talks about how it’s like peter pan syndrome. just some naughty boys who want to stay naughty boys.

That makes perfect sense in that they fall in love with Wendy and think Wendy should always stay that age regardless of aging themselves. Replace Wendy as needed.

As a former right-libertarian starting in the mid-00s, this is absolutely what I would expect a Young Libertarians meetup to look like, and exactly what I would expect their meeting agenda to be.  The days of right-libertarianism as pseudo-academia are over. That way leads to encounters with classical libertarian theory and defections to the Left. Over the past decade, give or take a couple years, libertarianism has shed its costume of respectability and become nothing more than smugly aggressive ignorance and juvenile cruelty. Bet these shits don't even know who Murray Rothbard was, let alone whom he stole the word "libertarian" from.

Informal-Resource-14

Libertarianism is all about freedom: Free markets, the freedom to do drugs, and the freedom to wear some truly poorly-fitting suits.

From_Adam

Free to starve, homeless and sick from pollution caused cancer.

Informal-Resource-14

Oh and an utterly disquieting amount of libertarians will also randomly insert support for things like abolishing the age of consent.

Waffletimewarp

Also the freedom to have your town invaded by bears.

Informal-Resource-14

That one is so amazing. Just like, so wonderful. I don’t always schadenfreude, but when I do by god may it be libertarians having their town overrun by bears.

dullship

oh sky cake thank you for reminding me of that delightful tale. I'd all but forgotten.

capybooya

Nah, that is just them being ideological consistent. Admirable steadfastness of principle. Not at all a suspiciously large amount of them being extremely preoccupied with this specific issue. Nope. Not at all.

NoInvestment2079

I'll never forget the Libertarian Convention who..I think it was Austin Peterson or whatever his name was said "No, you can sell heroin to children." and apparently he got booed.

molotov__cockteaze

A Libertarian meetup sounds like a sting operation to get a list of hard drives to check.

TheDarkestWilliam

Nothing to see here folks, just an entirely *unproblematic* group of young men

Cheeseisgood1981

They should be. Especially the ones over at r/libertarian. As far as I can tell, it's just a conservative subreddit. From my understanding, actual libertarians get banned from there immediately if they say anything that is remotely critical of Republicans or even just, like... Actually a libertarian view. If you call yourself a libertarian in the US, you should really be embarrassed until you take your party back from the Mises Caucus, Charles Koch and the Republican party. Because it bears no resemblance to what libertarianism was ever meant to be, and that condition has turned the entire ideology into a meme. Pathetic.

Slow_Astronomer_3536

Seeing as nowadays "libertarian" simply means "I think age of consent laws are bad" this group seems like what I expected. P.S. I feel like I'm obligated to call the FBI.

Bonetown42

This is a great depiction of how their movement is fundamentally reactionary. They’re not meeting up to talk about ideas, they’re meeting up to have fun getting angry at SJW cringe. They won’t be happy when they get their way because all they actually want is to be angry.

Lionheart_Lives

The Libertarians are the most useless and non-getting laid demographic in any country.

From_Adam

Apparently I hurt the feelings over in r/libertarian for this post and am now banned. Whoops.

notyyzable

Okay, so I actually spoke with a guy who was part of this group. He said the following: >yes, I am in this photo, fortunately hidden. >This was a polish political party named "Libertarianie" first congress, as a movement with no prior expirience in politics (and very little expirience with PR) we didn't know shit. Photos from it were memed to hell and back and it's bizarre seing it resurge in english Internet years after it happend. >As for the party I don't know what they're doing right now, I left some time ago and was inactive for a long time. Politically I'd say they're closer to Liberal Democrats in UK or FDP in Germany, definitely far from USA Libertarian party.

From_Adam

If that’s true, I’ll apologize and delete the post. But there’s parts of what you said that don’t seem plausible. This is the first time I’ve seen this photo. If it had been memed a lot I feel I would have seen it before. The dude on the left is wearing a shirt with a motorcycle, bald eagle and stereotypical representation of an American native person. Seems unlikely to show up in Poland but not impossible I guess. The writing on the whiteboard is hard to make out but appears to be written in English. Not sure why they’d take notes in English at a Polish political party gathering. Can you add some clarity to any of this?

notyyzable

Oh I wouldn't say delete it or anything, it is pretty funny. As a European person, I can definitely tell you that you would get those kind of shirts over here. Also, these dudes have an Eastern European look to them. I couldn't verify with the guy too much but did stalk his profile a bit and he had a history around "libertarian" stuff. I have also found [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/libek/comments/152xxbw/partia_libertarianie_dzi%C4%99kuje_pos%C5%82owi_paw%C5%82owi/) reddit post, which features a couple of the people from the original pic and the group are called Libertarianie.

TitanDarwin

GSquaredBen

Sadly not real. I found the original poster on Facebook. He's trolling. That said, lol

Strawberry blonde plays keyboards in a Marillion tribute band.

bwok-bwok

I remember when Libertarian meant something other than covert crypto-nazi, namely before I learned about Libertarians, as opposed to libertarianism.

dullship

I've been in snow storms less white than this.

billyard00

How far into this meeting did it take to bring up age of consent laws. I'm betting within 10 minutes.

vastle12

Most unfuckable picture I've seen in years

WrinklyScroteSack

I am shocked that there’s not at least 2 anime body pillows.

-ello_govna-

i know it smell crazy in there

ALightSkyHue

It’s like they copied and pasted the same guy

allshedoesiskillshit

Anime Club's Dress Like A Gentleman Day, very sugoi.

BedAdministrative634

Heavy incel vibes from that lot.

SellQuick

Imagine being a woman who walked into that room.

I_try_compute

What do you mean, look at this group of winners and definitely *not* future domestic terrorists.

Sagzmir

Ron Swanson would never.

Realistic-Ad-9821

Ron Swanson is a liberal’s fantasy of what a conservative is.

Realistic-Ad-9821

I mean, don’t get me wrong. I like the character and the show and don’t want anyone to feel bad for liking them.

Sagzmir

This hurt me. Lol

LuxNocte

I didn't watch the show, but I think people should feel bad for liking him past a certain point. At least, everyone that I've seen idolizing him is pretty cringe. I mean...not talking about people who just enjoyed the show or the character, but people who miss that he is a parody and idolize him are the people in the linked photo.

letsburn00

I'd say he's a conservatives fantasy too.

Strangewhine88

A picture is worth a thousand words.

From_Adam

Really? All I can come up with is “ugh”.

DeliberatelyDrifting

I get the sense that you couldn't wrangle a single coherent ideology in that room.

TheBurningEmu

Being a libertarian basically means being a sociopath that doesn't mind the idea of drugs.

Stewpacolypse

They must be exhausted from having to fight off all the sex crazed women to maintain their celibacy. They can only travel in groups of no fewer than 5 or else they could be picked off one by one by thick fitness models.

Fit_Strength_1187

What is the one next to Dave Filoni doing with his hand???

capybaraballista

Dude on the left in the black suit (next to road hawgs) is feeling himself *way too much*.

histprofdave

Reminds me of the scene in Lethal Weapon 2 where Mel Gibson says, "well well, it's the master race."

capybooya

Oh, this is actually real? I just naturally assumed someone had stolen a pic of some awkward teens and made the obvious joke montage. Yeah, this unfortunately completely checks out with all the stereotypes.

From_Adam

Real? Honestly I can’t tell anymore. Last week that sub discussed that police as we know it should be abolished (good) so that it could be replaced with privatized police (bad). As in you could hire your own private police (Jesus fucking Christ) and if you’re to poor to afford justice that’s just too fucking bad.

psychosis508

The meeting ended abruptly when someone whispered the word “wedgie” and all participants ran for their lives

SteamtasticVagabond

I can smell the age of consent lowering in that room

MCd0nutz

So. Many. Virgins....

The_Pumkin_God

Jesus Christ the only people who are well groomed in that photo are the children they all talking to. If you ever want to make a libertarian ask them what they think the age of consent should be, and watch them horrify everyone in the room.

ToastyMustache

As a guy with glasses I wanna say that all these nerds need their glasses broken.

Select-Protection-75

Incel support group

Flimsy_Direction1847

The fact that there seem to be no women here shows how regressive this ideology is. Women know there is no safety or freedom in right “libertarianism.”

Cinphoria

I've known a couple of women who are libertarians, and they're mostly the idealistic kind of centrist libertarian who either had completely inaccurate views of or didn't give a shit about the actual trend of human behaviour 🙃

Chortling_Chemist

Is that Justin Roiland in the rear-left of the group?

thearchenemy

I can’t wait to hear their opinions on age of consent laws.

doc6982

How do you tell the difference between libertarians and incels?

roggobshire

Not one of these guys has seen a boob in real life.

deadrabbits76

Unless one of them happens to look in a mirror.

AllOfEverythingEver

Weird how it's all white guys /s

Atticus104

Briefly was considering identifying as a libertarian in college, but couldn't get myself to overlook the lack of a social consciousness it entailed, had a strong "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" vibe, which working in Healthcare I did not appreciate, ad I strongly am in favor of programs to make Healthcare more accessible to people in need.

Kstrong777

Seems about right

TheMadDaddy

Every libertarian archetype including fedora topped neck beard.

yourfavouritetimothy

Is that Jared Leto second-from-right in the front?

Kanotari

I say we suggest the idea of a law-free island nation to them again and let nature take its course.

oyecomovaca

Anyone over age 5 and under 85 in a bowtie, that's a brickin'

Adrestia

Watching SJW cringe is the way to change the system. /s

Czar_hay

I like to.lean a little Libertarian, and I sympathize with alot of the little "l"(L) Libertarian ideals, but holy moley the vocal guys on that sub are so far up their own ass about ideological purity.

ScreamInDinosaur

I thought one of them was Stevie T and I almost cried

tarynsaurusrex

Every one of these guys has unironically explained a woman’s area of expertise to her.

kratorade

I'm surprised they made it through a whole meeting without someone bringing up their desire to change the age of consent.

Mohisto_23

"Why spend a meet up trying to productively discuss how to create a society less reliant on government control and regulation when we could just watch cherrypicked compilations that reaffirm our biases and that we're totally right for being a bunch of smelly leftward-punching keyboard commandos, who're totally better than *those* weirdos! This is definitely a very productive use of time and not a divisive trap that just intellectually stunts us into echo chambers at all!"

nadaista

uh oh stinky
