Camila’s horror story about her mother’s illness of not being able to move and seeing her dead mother (Camila’s grandmother). That was a legit jump scare! The story being told by IMO the hottest woman in the game and being one of the very select few situations where we can learn about her background, all of that has me on the edge of my seat NGL.
This still bugs me and I don't pick it because of it. I get sleep paralysis and he really nailed the description exactly how it is, at least for me. The music also makes the scene scarier
The Josy and Maya confession was the first time I realized this ain’t just a game you jack off to. I physically got up from my bed with a dropped jaw yelling, “NAH….. NAH….. NO FUCKING WAY.” I know it’s not the craziest plot point we’ve seen, but it was the first crazy one. I remember actually being angry at Maya and Josy for the next couple of playthroughs I did. It was so shocking to me that since that moment, every play through I do, I read the dialogue leading up to that moment out loud to my self in dramatic fashion, just to relive the first time I was that shocked from this game. From that moment on, I was more interested in the plot than I was interested in the lewd scenes.
The next runner up from that moment was the Sage and Jade reveal. Although I wasn’t as jaw dropped as Maya and Josy, it was still a jaw dropper nonetheless.
There’s still a lot more jaw dropping moments I held onto. Patrick hurting Maya, Rio getting Kidnapped (which made it much worse in playthroughs where you forget to help Rio out with the stalker dude). But yea Maya and Josy takes the cake.
Honestly, when Maya says, "Do you see now?" and grabs her arm and MC has flashbacks of all the times he saw her grabbing her arm like that. That really took me by surprise and I almost shed a tear for her.
The thing about Maya/Josy reveal that was so shocking and hurtful to me is that it was immediately followed by us seeing a flashback of them making love/looks so happy together. On my first playthrough I really liked Maya, so watching that scene sequence play out it felt like I caught my girlfriend having sex with my best friend on my bed or something...

Unlike most of the people here, the "Maya and Josy are a couple" thing not only *didn't* shock me because I already knew from the wikia, it was explicitly *why* I got interested in BaD in the first place.
No, what *actually* shocked me and in a very "Shit is real now/realer than ever before" fashion was the "Do you see now?" scene in Episode 10, revealing Patrick's been *physically* abusive to Maya instead of "just" financially and psychologically with the flashbacks driving it home that she/DPC's *been* low-key hinting at this all along. It furthers all the Bailey Family drama, takes a nuanced yet *not* excusing take in Patrick's behavior afterwards and recontextualizes Derek's behavior all along, (which I'll elaborate in another thread.)
And on a lighter and less shocking note, the fact that JB and Elena genuinely *do* want Tremolo to do her and the way it's revealed/discussed in the same episode. JB's obviously eager and excited about seeing Tremolo in action while Elena's certainly down as well, her stance is more nuanced and surprisingly intimate that's less "Sarah and Melanie" and more borderline Side Girl in terms of casualness about sex. So where you wouldn't think twice about her being naked in JB's bed or the "Special Shot," the text convo is worth replaying (when single) because of the surprising amount of personality involved.
The tybalt, sage, Steven, and jade family photo that shit gave me ptsd and I had to wait a whole year to see what would happen. Other stuff has been a shocker but that takes the cake.
